Hey, I've started FR again and am training to fight the E4 for the 1st time but I'm not so happy with some of my pokemon's moves. Can you please post any ideas you have to replace the bold moves? Or if you have a better idea for any of the moves. Thanks

how about teaching charizard heat wave from the move tutor ,and teaching dream eater/solar beam to excgutor ,mega horn to rhydon, hydro pump/water fall/sludge bomb to tentacruel ,ariel ace to pidgeot.
I also have some comments on other moves but you do not want to change them.

It would be nice if you posted EV's, items, natures etc.

Pokemon:
Charizard@leftovers
Adamant nature
Flamethrower
Rockslide
Earthquake
Aerial Ace/Slash/Belly Drum

Exeggutor@leftovers
Modest Nature
Psychic
Sleep powder
Sunny Day
Solar Beam

rhydon@leftovers
Adamant nature
Earthquake
Rock slide
Swords Dance
double edge/Rest

Tentacruel@leftovers
surf
Ice beam
Sludge Bomb
Swords Dance

Pigeot@choice band
Adamant/Jolly Nature
Quick Attack
Aerial Ace
Featherdance
HP:Fighting

Electrode@petaya
thunderbolt
Thunderwave
Light Screen
Explosion

you have to change more than 1 move on each pokemon, coz they suck (i know its harsh, but its the truth). Also, no more than 1 same type attacking move per poke, eg-Thunderbolt OR Thunder on Electrode, not both.

Okay, I'll answer these without quotes or it'll be a huge reply.
I don't believe in Natures, EVs, IV etc. it makes pokemon seem too 'artificial' (lack of a better word)

Pigeot is only there to fill in the gaps left by Charmeleon not having fly.
Exeggutor isn't there to be a grass type, it's there to be psychic with sleep powder.
Ummm, Hold items will come later after I finish the game and download my pokemon from Box. This'll sound really stupid but what is boltbeam?

Thanks for some great advice though, but after I get 100 in my pokedex these guys'll get the boot and I'll begin training them to lvl 100 where moves will play a bigger part than to get me through the E4

Oh thanks. And that's a bad thing right? Cause of the similar type advantages?

...Why else do you think I put "says goodbye" only to have it followed up with "says a little more than goodbye," Mr. Can't think of a name?

Also, EVs and IVs are necessary if you really want to become great. If you're one of those people who don't want to manage it because it makes your Pokemon seem like drones, I can't blame you, seeing as I was that way once. Still, carrying that belief only limits your options.

I'm sorry for being uninformed but I haven't really spoken to that many good pokemon people (or trainers, if you'd prefer) so I don't know much of the terminology.
The IVs just get too complicated after a while but I don't mind the EVs that much. Nature-sifting takes up too much time. When I start to develop some stratgy based teams I'll then do it, other than that I focus on collecting and training instead of focusing on the fighting part
