jindahouse, Hyper Beam and its elemental counterparts fail. Please don't suggest them.

Hypdro pump/Cannon
Surf
Skull Bash/Body Slam
Ice Beam
No use for both Surf and Hydro Pump - I like Surf better because it is more accurate.

If you like to have two moves based on the type of Pokemon, you're just wasting a slot.

A good Squirtle moveset is:
Surf
Ice beam
Mirror Coat
Counter

no the two moves one is a powerful one eg hydro pump and the other is one with more pp eg surf to take out enemies that are weak against water etc and hydr pump for stong opponents

You have no clue what you're talking about. Take those ideas to NetBattle and see how you fare.

no it is just a waste honestly, it's like;
lets use Spark/thunder/thunderbolt/shock wave Lanturn so that i have lots of pp for electric moves
thunder for strong things, spark for weaker things
when you should just use thunderbolt and then 3 other moves
anyway
surf
ice beam
mirror coat/counter
rest
is probably the best in-game set

I know but I sorted it all out you see you have 6 pokemon and each can learn 4 attacks so
6*4=24
17 pokemon types
24-17=7
so you can have one of each type of attack on your team and double of others with the 7 you have spare.
And every one always suggests rest I dont like it unless the pokemon has attacks that it can use while sleeping
so snorlax and ursaring
and the way I sort is lanturn is 1st a water type so it would have
2 water
1 electric
1 ??

whats netbattle

and I dont suck I also have had hydro pump on my squirtle ever since red blue yellow
So you're saying that you'd have Hydro Pump/Hydro Cannon/Surf on your Squirtle, eh? Cool, let's go throttle that Water Absorb Vaporeon now. It'll be fun.
so you can have one of each type of attack on your team and double of others with the 7 you have spare.
Good point, but one problem (among others) is that not every single move you'll use is an attacking move.

that was the worst logic i have ever seen

fair enough but it is still enough to have a couple of moves repeated I also raise a vaporeon as my fire red team is a water team ( my favs) i think I no how to get around that

I have no idea what the hell you're saying.
Anyways, like Shichiro said, take your ideas to NetBattle and see how you do.

Jindahouse, don't triple post. Listen to these people, you movesets are EXTREMELY lacking. If the kid wants a moveset for Blastoise, I suggest what everyone else did: Surf, Ice Beam, Mirrior Coat, and Rest.
I have an idea fer one if he doesn't want to breed(only a few things change):
Surf
Ice Beam
Earthquake (maybe to cover electric weakness if he can learn it)/Skull Bash
Withdraw/Rain Dance
Idk if it'll work, but it's worth a try.

evolve it into blastoise with these moves :
hydro pump or surf (if u want more pp's)
ice beam
earthquake
body slam or mega punch
