Yeahhhhh.. I's need rates. Here is my team. I'm training them now. :/

Feraligatr (Brave Nature) @Leftovers **Florence
-Surf
-EQ
-Rock Slide
-Swords Dance

she's at lv. 70. ^__^ one great Pokemon. A few SDes and she can rip though a team. lol

Rapidash (Hasty Nature) @Leftovers **Queenie
-Flamethrower
-Double Kick
-Hypnosis
-Return (can't think of anything else...)

she's at lv. 42. (if it matters.) Don't say HP ____ for her last slot. And, I CANNOT get Substitute for her.

Snorlax (Brave/Sassy/Relaxed/Adamant/Impish/whatever) @Leftovers **Sleepy
EVs: 200 Hp, -----I dunno. ._.;
-Curse
-Rest
-Return
-EQ/Shadow Ball

Venusaur (Sassy/Relaxed Nature) @Leftovers
EVs: need more opinions
-Razor Leaf
-Sludge Bomb
-Sleep Powder
-Leech Seed

can RL AND SB work?

Gardevoir (Modest Nature) @Leftovers **Andy
-Psychic
-Will-O-Wisp
-Thunderbolt
-Calm Mind

lv. 51

Salamence (Adamant Nature) @Leftovers **Ghost
-Aerial Ace
-EQ
-Dragon Dance
-Brick Break (can't get Rock Slide...)

I can't change their natures. >_>

okay, rate away!

I was thinking about using a Magmar/Typhlosion/Gengar instead of Rapidash... would they work? Who should I replace? And do I need any other kinds of members? (tanks/sponge stuff...) I was also considering Blaziken/Regice here too...

Horn Drill

Why can't you get Rock Slide? You have Emerald! :@ lol

And you also need EVs. >___>;

Yeahhhhh.. I's need rates. Here is my team. I'm training them now. :/ No EVs since I don't really think it's essential ingame. :X anyways:

Feraligatr (Brave Nature) @Leftovers **Florence
-Surf
-EQ
-Rock Slide
-Swords Dance

she's at lv. 61. ^__^ one great Pokemon. A few SDes and she can rip though a team. lol
Needs more dragon dance. But noooo, we have to wait till d+p.
Rapidash (Hasty Nature) @Leftovers **Queenie
-Flamethrower
-Double Kick
-Hypnosis
-Return (can't think of anything else...)

she's at lv. 42. (if it matters.) Don't say HP ____ for her last slot. And, I CANNOT get Substitute for her.
You could try DE or Bounce(lol). Or even iron tail.
Muk (Relaxed Nature) @Leftovers **Slime
-Sludge Bomb
-Curse
-Shadow Punch
-Brick Break/Rest (can't decide)

She's at lv. 52. Which is better for the last slot?
Explosion.
Meganium (Bold Nature) @Leftovers **Jerome
-Razor Leaf
-Leech Seed
-Synthesis
-Counter

lv. 42

Gardevoir (Modest Nature) @Leftovers **Andy
-Psychic
-Will-O-Wisp
-Thunderbolt
-Calm Mind

lv..... 38. XD

as for a last member, Horn Drill suggested:
Salamence (Adamant/Jolly Nature) @Leftovers
-Aerial Ace
-EQ
-Dragon Dance
-Brick Break (can't get Rock Slide...)

I can't change their natures. >_>

okay, rate away!

Eh, looks good. Another option is Hydro Pump>Surf if you have a low sattack IV and not a lot of EVs in Sattack. Just out of curiosity, how much speed does this thing have?

Rapidash (Hasty Nature) @Leftovers **Queenie
-Flamethrower
-Double Kick
-Hypnosis
-Return (can't think of anything else...)

she's at lv. 42. (if it matters.) Don't say HP ____ for her last slot. And, I CANNOT get Substitute for her. Eh, bounce can work, and sunny day can do a lot for it's flamethrower...

Muk (Relaxed Nature) @Leftovers **Slime
-Sludge Bomb
-Curse
-Shadow Punch
-Brick Break/Rest (can't decide)

She's at lv. 52. Which is better for the last slot? Explosion... I like Sludge bomb/curse/sub/focus punch

Meganium (Bold Nature) @Leftovers **Jerome
-Razor Leaf
-Leech Seed
-Synthesis
-Counter

ok

lv. 42

Gardevoir (Modest Nature) @Leftovers **Andy
-Psychic
-Will-O-Wisp
-Thunderbolt
-Calm Mind

lv..... 38. XD EVs? Impossible to rate w/o knowing them. Moveset looks fine

as for a last member, Horn Drill suggested:
Salamence (Adamant/Jolly Nature) @Leftovers
-Aerial Ace
-EQ
-Dragon Dance
-Brick Break (can't get Rock Slide...)

Fire blast can work over BB if you want. Meh, I wish more people would use Hydro Pump/Crunch/Flamethrower or fire blast/Dragon Claw

I can't change their natures. >_>

okay, rate away!

thanks for the rates, everyone. Keep 'em comin'.

ZNtelle
13th February 2006, 4:42 AM
Salamence needs Adamant Nature to avoid being underpowered. Muk needs Brick Break to own the Steel-types. Of course, there's always the handy little "Switch" option (regarding Muk).

SapphireL
13th February 2006, 4:44 AM
Adamant? Okay. Sounds good to me.

soooo should I teach Muk Explosion, or keep Brick Break? o.o

ZNtelle
13th February 2006, 4:45 AM
I still think Brick Break, and even Rest over Explosion. Don't see what Exploding will do for ya InGame if it's just the CPU you're ever going up against.

SapphireL
13th February 2006, 4:46 AM
Yeahhhh that's a good point. >_>;

Then what about Iron Tail for my Rapidash? That sounds good to me. ._.

ZNtelle
13th February 2006, 4:53 AM
Heh, I personally don't like that idea. Just about anything you can KO with Iron Tail you can KO with Double Kick.

SapphireL
13th February 2006, 4:56 AM
O rly?

I wanted Quick Attack... but.... it's not an Egg Move, the Move Tutor couldn't teach it to her, and it's not a lv. up move, but I keep seeing that Rapidash can learn QA. D:

ZNtelle
13th February 2006, 5:23 AM
Rapidash's moveset varies by region. So, it just might not learn Quick Attack in Hoenn. Anyways, the Serebii Pokedex should say when it learns the move.

Fluorescent Adolescent
13th February 2006, 11:37 AM
Great just did a post and it got erased ¬¬;

Anyway CBsala>DDsala imo. But hey, DDset is most likely better considering you can't get rock slide ;/

Also Adamant>Jolly always.

The team doesn't really like pert but this is in-game so its not as if you'll see them pop up frequently, not to mention have one that has a good moveset ;/

SapphireL
14th February 2006, 1:59 AM
hmm.. I guess you're right. ._.; I don't HAVE to use some members.... are there other replacements? :/

Horn Drill
14th February 2006, 3:27 AM
:/ but I don't really play Emerald... and.... well, yeah. ._. I don't have any good Pokemon in that game either. :X

Oh, suck it up! :@ Just trade 'em over. >_>;

It's easy to train on Emerald too. Just raise a team on there. ._. It doesn't take long to get enough Battle Points for Rock Slide and stuff if you gamble them with that guy.

I'm only battling the computer. D: that's it. >___<

You're a weenie. :@ Training just for CPUs is boring.

thanks for the rates, everyone. Keep 'em comin'.

You didn't thank me. Hmph. >_>

Keep Explosion > Brick Break on Muk because there aren't that many Dark types in the Battle Frontier/Battle Tower/whatever and Explosion will usually be a OHKO on those opponents anyway. UnSTABed Brick Break is useless. That goes for Salamence too. :@

SapphireL
14th February 2006, 4:12 AM

It's easy to train on Emerald too. Just raise a team on there. ._. It doesn't take long to get enough Battle Points for Rock Slide and stuff if you gamble them with that guy.
:/ hmmm... I guess I could. That sounds reasonable imo. >_>

You're a weenie. :@ Training just for CPUs is boring.
:@ don't call me that. AND I don't have anyone else to battle with. D:

You didn't thank me. Hmph. >_>
You're part of that EVERYONE.

Right. Then what's another choice for Sala if I can't get RS?

ZNtelle
14th February 2006, 4:18 AM
No, keep Brick Break on Muk to insure against the Steel-types of BF.

Fluorescent Adolescent
14th February 2006, 1:28 PM
lol online relationships *flee*

Seriously needs more EV training imo :<

ZNtelle
15th February 2006, 2:36 AM
EVs don't really matter unless you're going to BF, and even then, they're still hard to set.

SapphireL

...

Dont do UU/BL so I can only help you with your OU pokes ;/
Sala wants 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Gardy wants 6 HP/252 SpAtk/252 Spd (provided you want it to be a special sweeper, if you want some durance, put some EV's into Special defense-no point in defense as attacks just own it ;/)

 lol

:D

SapphireL
16th February 2006, 3:06 AM
I don't know why this is, but I ALWAYS pick the UU/BL Pokemon for my teams. ._.; I guess it's 'cause they're more interesting. XD jk... sorta.

anyways, thanks, *Ryan*. ...but shouldn't Gardy have more Hp? :/

Tazzler
16th February 2006, 3:54 AM
Yay Rapidash!

For her, I would just use IIRC about 130 evs in speed to reach 300 but you could go 330. Split the rest between attack and special attack but leaning more toward attack.

SapphireL
16th February 2006, 4:27 AM
^that's what I's am doin'. XD

Rapidash is cool, huh? :D

Horn Drill
16th February 2006, 5:24 AM

Maybe you could make it a CBer. :X

Fluorescent Adolescent

SapphireL
17th February 2006, 2:05 AM
^-^; that's right. :X sorry. eheh... >_>;;;

anyways, what about Muk EVs? Anyone?

Tazzler
17th February 2006, 2:25 AM
Assuming your muk is relaxed:

EVs: 132 HP / 216 Atk / 56 Def / 106 SDef

You might want less attack though.

SapphireL
17th February 2006, 2:29 AM
yeah, my Muk is Relaxed. I wanted Brave/Sassy, though. >_>; but it's close enough imo. :/

anyways, thanks. Anything else?

But in all seriousness you need to start liking OU pogeys >:O!

Nah it's fine in-game but if you expect to use this in-game team for colisseum battles or anything like that then it'd be best to use OU ;l

SapphireL
17th February 2006, 2:50 AM
that's why there's Salamence and Gardevoir. XD

I don't know why this is, but when I build teams, I don't intentionally pick the UU/NU/BL pokes. ._.

Well, I did suggest Tauros and Ninjask, but somebody didn't want to use them... After all, they're only the two greatest leads ever. >_>;

You should also include at least one of the three Gs: Gyarados, Gengar, and GHeracross.

SapphireL
18th February 2006, 5:46 AM
Gyarados... Gengar... hmm. Why? And who should I replace? :< I'm not a fan of Muk, but I wanted to train a new Pokemon.

They're good.

Some of the crappy ones like Rapidash or Muk.

I like Armaldo. XD

So use it. >_>;

...WHO'S difficult? O_o

You are, because you're always like, "I wanna use UU and not EV train and five-million Feraligatrs and stuff! I never get mad at anybody! I use the water-type pokemon skin to make everything blue!" :P lol

SapphireL
18th February 2006, 6:11 AM

yeah... what's wrong with UU?

'K, Rapidash is about as crappy as they come. At least get rid of that. Muk > Rapidash.

don't say Substitute. ¬_¬ And it might be a while before I can get Thunder Punch...

252 Special Attack/252 Speed/6 HP

Defense won't matter. =/

SapphireL
18th February 2006, 7:33 AM
Yes EQ. It works well ingame. But... is there another option? Like I said, I dunno if I can get Thunder Punch soon.

Sunny day is pretty sexy on it though.

SapphireL
19th February 2006, 2:48 AM
>_>; you're right about that, *Ryan*.

Anyways, Sunny Day.... hm. Sounds good... I do have a Gengar I could use..

Gengar (Timid Nature) @Leftovers
-Psychic
-Thunderbolt
-Giga Drain
-Destiny Bond

can that work too?

Tazzler
19th February 2006, 5:06 AM
Yea, but an elemental punch could do better over psychic if you can get it.

Or substitute. :D

Horn Drill
19th February 2006, 5:22 AM
Gengar@Leftovers
Modest/Timid Nature
252 SpAtk/120 Spd/52 Def/80 SPDef/6 HP
Levitate
Thunderbolt
Ice Punch
Will-o-Wisp
Torment

My Gengar set. Most Pokemon have only one attack that even affects Gengar (hence the Torment), and Shadow Ball is crippled by Will-o-Wisp. It forces switches well.

SapphireL
19th February 2006, 8:37 AM
well, she's female, so I'm probably gonna rebreed her for Will-O-Wisp. :/

Aww I was going to recommend my special gar set :( That set is absolute quality. But it requires 2 elemtal punches XD

Damn there are so many choices and moves you can use for Gar so tell us what you want, be it mixed sweeper or special sweeper or even Cber-it really has that much variety ;/

Horn Drill
20th February 2006, 3:14 AM

I'm breeding for a Modest Gastly today, so I'll tell you how it goes. o.o

annnddddd I can't really get the Elemental punches.. >_>

You stink. :@

They don't cost that much Battle Points. Geez. >_> Quit slackin' off and go to the Battle Factory or something. Most people actually want to win Battle Points once they make it to the Battle Frontier. ._.;

*Ryan*, go ahead and give your Special Gar set. Don't worry about her lazy not-getting-Battle-Points self. >_>;

SapphireL
20th February 2006, 4:42 AM
Well guys, I kinda want a Sp.Sweeper ish thing. :/ Maybe I will go to the Battle Factory since I don't have like, any good Pokemon in Emerald. -_-;

I was also thinking about replacing Jerome (Meganium) with a Venusaur. Something like:

Venusaur (Modest/Calm/Sassy/Relaxed Nature) @Leftovers
EVs: 200 Hp, defenses... Sp.Attack and Attack... but how much? ._.
-Razor Leaf
-Sludge Bomb/Synthesis (which is better?)
-Sleep Powder
-Leech Seed

is it better than Meganium? I really like this set.

Horn Drill
20th February 2006, 5:44 AM
Venusaur@Leftovers
Careful Nature
252 HP/120 SpDef/132 Def/6 Atk
Overgrow
Sludge Bomb
Leech Seed
Sleep Powder
Synthesis

You can replace Synthesis with Razor Leaf and take a few EVs out of Def and SpDef to give to SpAtk.

SapphireL
20th February 2006, 5:49 AM
what does Careful do again? >_>; I's forget. :X

I see that you're not suggesting that Max Speed Venusaur. XD

Horn Drill
20th February 2006, 6:01 AM
what does Careful do again? >_>; I's forget. :X

+SpDef, - SpAtk.

I see that you're not suggesting that Max Speed Venusaur. XD

I decided HP was more important. Max Speed Venusaur only worked because I used it with Ninjask, and you're a Ninjaskaphobe, as some might say.

SapphireL
20th February 2006, 6:13 AM
Yeah, but can Sludge Bomb AND Razor Leaf work on Venusaur? and is getting rid of Meganium a good idea?

Horn Drill
20th February 2006, 6:25 AM
They can work if you give it SpAtk EVs.

Meganium is UU, and Venusaur is OU, so I guess it would be good to replace it.

SapphireL
20th February 2006, 6:27 AM
if I give Venusaur RL AND SB, what nature should I go with? Sassy/Relaxed? O.o

....and I like Venusaur way more than Meganium anyway. :/

lolwutproblems solved with my RapeGar set :D

Gengar @ Leftovers
Modest
EV's: 6 HP, 252 SpAtk, 252 Spd
Thunderbolt
Ice Punch
Fire Punch
Destiny Bond

LOL RAPE! Seriously Gar has a sexy special attack stat and should be utilised to its best imo :/ It really does rape things i.e. gross (does about 70-80% in Competitive battling on NB), Ice punch does over 50% to the average Zapdos and celebi gets 3HKO by Ice Punch/Fire Punch (not that you'd keep it in but that's what Destiny Bonds for :D). When you're at the end of your run and a special wall/counter comes in, destiny bond when you know you'll die :D

gfg.

Depends what you want. I'd go for snorlax for in-game if you want a special wall or skarm for physical wall (spikes roaring is sexcellent in-game).

Why didn't I say bliss? Well snorlax can sweep teams with a few curses under its belt and it just takes ages to kill something with Bliss :/ Besides heal belling isn't a necessity in-game so I'd go with lax.

EDIT-Just realised this is Sapphire version >_>; Go with Regice for special wall then ¬¬;

Muk is fine where it is, but what were you thinking about replacing it with? Anyways, here my recommendation for a Magmar set - assuming you'll use it, of course. I just get the feeling that some people won't like this one.

Magmar @ Leftovers
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Flamethrower
- Thunderpunch

anyways, I think that Snorlax and Regice sound good.... instead of Muk and I guess Rapidash. :/ I don't NEED a Fire attack... do I? ._.

I guess you don't really need a Fire type attack, but Rapidash is probably the last thing I'd choose to have one. >_>;

About the FB thing, it's always an option for steels that come its way but in-game it fails so yeah D:! Suggestion nonetheless.

Well what you could do is pump HP/Def/Atk (or SpAtk) EV's into saur to get a partial physical tank :/

Then you'd have lax for special tank and saur for physical tank :/

SapphireL
21st February 2006, 7:13 PM
so I wouldn't need Regice, *Ryan*? :/ and I could go with a Fire Pokemon just in case some Steel comes out?

Erm well steels found in-game can always be lolled at by ice beaming I suppose. Actually I say use regice because you can run a counter on it, counter lols at physical sweepers and steels will most likely use physical moves. After one counter, the AI will most likely use the same move again anyway so yeah D: Or you could run counter on lax. Your decision really.

Or just leave the special walling to gardy and pump special defense EV's and HP Ev's into it. After one or two calm minds, recover. Lather, rinse and repeat. That could be your special wall I guess and you'd have a free space to use on your team D:! Fill that space with a physical wall/fire pogey.

SapphireL
21st February 2006, 7:32 PM
yeah.. I EV trained my Gardevoir with Sp.Def and Hp already. He's been able to take some Sp.Attacks really well after a Calm Mind. :/ I think I'm gonna need a fire Pokemon.

Blaziken is awesome really :/ Fighting STAB moves + immune to wow is pretty cool :/ He's one of the only decent fire types really.

Great skarmbliss counter as well :D (Not that this matters in-game but still cool nonetheless). This will help you own darks/normals/steels that you may need help on so yeah it'd be quite a good idea to use it methinks D:!

(F)Blaziken (Mild Nature) @Leftovers **Peepers

two things

1. your so lucky you got a female starter

2. for the love of god, its nickname is peepers, USE IT!!!!

plus a bunch of houndooms will pop up in that little tourney of yours (thanks to XD making it so we can get a decent fire-type) so you can own them with sky uppercut. But then after i type that sentence i think of myself as an idiot, for they would switch the houndooms out for a water type or worse, cursepert. Ah well, i suggest magmar, typhlosion, or blaziken.

If you want, i got a pretty good magmar

Magmar@leftovers
Flame Body
Mild Nature (+Sp. Atk, -Defense)
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk, 128 Spd, and the rest in HP

Flamethrower
Thunderpunch
Psychic
Confuse Ray

I love this guys Sp. Atk. He goes right through cursepert with psychic. kills all water types, thus making him pretty good. If you want, replace confuse ray with HP: Ice if you want to take the time.

Have fun!!! - ;157;

If only blaziken was in the monster group... just have blaze and feraligatr breed and out pops a torchic with Rock Slide and maybe Swords Dance (can move tutor moves be passed down??).

trade blaze to a FR/LG or an Emerald (Emeralds harder) to get it to learn both moves.

anyways, which nature is better for Venusaur: Relaxed or Sassy?

Horn Drill

It depends on what moves you want it to know. If you only use Sludge Bomb, then go with Impish or Careful. If you use both Sludge Bomb and Razor Leaf, then I'd probably lean towards Relaxed.

I'd go relaxed for Venusaur. Also I like Tentacruel, good special sponge!
