Chant of Vitu-Ghazi

Ravnica: City of Guilds. Uncommon

6WW: Instant

Convoke (Each creature you tap while playing this spell reduces its cost by 1 or by one mana of that creature's color.)

Prevent all damage that would be dealt by creatures this turn. You gain 1 life for each damage prevented this way.
Convoke saves this card. I wouldn't want to pay 8 mana for this. It can really turn the game around, but you really have to know when to play it...not to mention you have to keep a lot of mana open to play it.

Really, about all that can use this is the Selesnya deck. That deck has saprolings coming out the ***, so it shouldn't cost more than 3 or 4 mana. For other decks, it's simply too expensive.

The damage prevention and life gain are nice, but eight mana is just too much to pay and it's really not worth it to tap alot of creatures to make it cost less. 1/5

This card is really, only useful when your opponent is already boning you in the ***. Sure, a couple life gain. It's not like it's going to stop them from swinging again next turn. With this kinda mana, wouldn't you rather just play 2 Wrath of Gods?

Meh. Maybe in casual play I would give this a shot. Not a big fan of white though. 2/5
