View Full Version : Mobile Adapter pics

I am always seeing questions about the Mobile Adapter for Pokémon Crystal, so I decided to post some pictures of what the setup looks like in the game. Below are eight images that help to explain the Mobile Adapter’s function in Pokémon Crystal (btw, all the images were taken from the English, not the Japanese version):

Phone Card (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f27/gulzarofgrass/Crystalcard.png)
Card Folder (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f27/gulzarofgrass/CardFolder.png)
Mobile Menu (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f27/gulzarofgrass/MobilProfile.png)
Basic communication menu (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f27/gulzarofgrass/Talking.png)
Trade Phone Card (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f27/gulzarofgrass/TradeNameCard.png)
Trading image (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f27/gulzarofgrass/Trading.png)
Password menu (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f27/gulzarofgrass/Typing.png)
Phone Keypad (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f27/gulzarofgrass/Phone.png)

As you can see, some of the adapter’s functions were translated, like the Card Folder, while others were not, such as the Name Card transfer screen. All functions are still in all Pokémon Crystal versions, and can be accessed right below the Mystery Gift function on the main menu (with some help, of course :))

Strange, but what does this help anyone? All I want to know is how to use 'em and where to get a Japanese Crystal Version. Also, what store has the Mobile Adapter.

Well, it's interesting to know and see all these things. Looks like they were willing to release it at least in the US.

Celebi, for Japanese versions of Crystal keep an eye on eBay. Sellers like superb_articles_from_japan (http://search.ebay.co.uk/pokemon_W0QQbsZSearchQQcatrefZC6QQfposZCV22Q205Q51 SQQfromZR10QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQfstypeZ1QQftrtZ1QQftr vZ1QQga10244Z10425QQsacatZQ2d1QQsadisZ200QQsassZsu perbQ5farticlesQ5ffromQ5fjapanQQsbrftogZ1QQsellerZ 1QQsofocusZbs) tend to get these things in frequently, since they're based in Japan. I bought my Japanese versions of Gold and Silver from them, so don't worry about legitimacy/getting fakes. This seller is 100% a-ok.
