Very rarely do I ever use any legends in my team, let alone a Tier 2. But in this case, I decided to try one out. Here comes my team.

Groudon Level: 100
Ability - Drought
Nature - Jolly
Item - Salac Berry
EV's - 225 ATT, 225 DEF, 60 SPD
Move List
Bulk Up
Earthquake
Solar Beam
Brick Break

One of the two staples of the team, mostly for it's ability. Sunlight before any attack commands are given boosts this team's chance of winning by a good amount. Bulk Up increases it's already high ATT and DEF, while Earthquake gets a good STAB bonus. Brick Break benefits from the high ATT. Solar Beam attacks once every turn if I want and deals with WATER- and ICE-types.

Castform Level: 100 Male
Ability - Forecast
Nature - Timid
Item - Salac Berry
EV's - 240 SP. ATT, 240 SPD, 30 DEF
Move List
Sunny Day
Solar Beam
Weather Ball
Flamethrower

Solar Beam can attack every turn thanks to Drought, Flamethrower gets a STAB boost + a Sunny Day boost. Weather Ball is a given for any Castform, and Sunny Day is there in case Groudon is removed.

Espeon Level: 100 Male
Ability - Synchronize
Nature - Timid
Item - Petaya Berry
EV's - 255 HP, 225 SPD, 30 SP. DEF
Moves
Psychic
Substitute
Morning Sun
Helping Hand

STAB boost with Psychic plus it's high SPD and good SP. ATT make it rather lethal. Substitute let's it Helping Hand Groudon without suffereing for it, and Morning Sun heals full health. Helping Hand used for Groudon or another Pokemon makes for usually an instant knock out. This is really just a decent filler Pokemon, or for when it's 4th and 100 with 2 seconds left in the fourth and it's snowing and then only thing I can call is a running play.

Houndoom Level: 100 Male
Ability - Flash Fire
Nature - Timid
Item - Leftovers
EV's - 255 SP. DEF, 220 SPD, 35 HP
Move List
Crunch
Substitute
Solar Beam
Flamethrower

Both Flamethrower and Crunch get a STAB. My usual strategy here is to hit Houndoom with a Flamethrower from Castform to boost it's Flamethrower's power even higher. Solar Beam helps deal with WATER-types, and gets an HP recovery from Leftovers. Substitute let's it absorb an Earthquake.

Gengar Level: 100
Ability - Levitate
Nature - Mild
Item - Leftovers
EV's - 200 SP. ATT, 180 SPD, 130 SP. DEF
Move List
Psychic
Substitute
Fire Punch
Shadow Ball

The only Pokemon on my team that doesn't match the basic strategy is Gengar. Or does it? Fire Punch gets the boost from sunlight, Levitate lets it avoid Groudon's Earthquake, and Substitute lets it Shadow Ball enemies away without getting hurt, while Leftovers gives it some health back.

Salamence Level: 100 Male
Ability - Intimidate
Nature - Adament
Item - Lum Berry
EV's - 200 ATT, 190 SP. ATT, 60 SPD, 60 HP
Move List
Crunch
Aerial Ace
Rock Slide
Dragon Dance

I like it because it is cute, not because it is powerful. The powerful part just happens to be a bonus. Crunch is a powerful attack to deal with PSYCHIC-tpes and GHOST-types, as well as other DRAGON-types and Aerial Ace gets a STAB boost. Dragon Dance boosts it's power, and Rock Slide takes out ICE-types. Lum Berry is there for the evil Wispers and Wavers.

Rate X/10, leave a nice comment. ;038;

Groudon Level: 100
Ability - Drought
Nature - Jolly
Item - Salac Berry
EV's - 225 ATT, 225 DEF, 60 SPD
Move List
Swords Dance
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Fire Blast/Overheat/Thunder Wave

One of the two staples of the team, mostly for it's ability. Sunlight before any attack commands are given boosts this team's chance of winning by a good amount. Bulk Up increases it's already high ATT and DEF, while Earthquake gets a good STAB bonus. Brick Break benefits from the high ATT. Groudon's SA sucks. Don't bother with Solarbeam. If this is 2v2, feel free to throw in Protect > the Fire moves

Castform Level: 100 Male
Ability - Forecast
Nature - Timid
Item - Salac Berry
EV's - 240 SP. ATT, 240 SPD, 30 DEF
Move List
Ice Beam
Solar Beam
Weather Ball
Protect

Solar Beam can attack every turn thanks to Drought, Flamethrower gets a STAB boost + a Sunny Day boost. Weather Ball is a given for any Castform, and Sunny Day is there in case Groudon's Drought is removed.
Groudon can come back when its sunny day is out. Once again, protect is welcome

Espeon Level: 100 Male
Ability - Synchronize
Nature - Timid
Item - Petaya Berry
EV's - 255 HP, 225 SPD, 30 SP. DEF
Moves
Psychic
Substitute
Morning Sun
Helping Hand

STAB boost with Psychic plus it's high SPD and good SP. ATT make it rather lethal. Hidden Power Fire gets the boost from the sunlight, and Morning Sun heals full health. Helping Hand used for Groudon or another Pokemon makes for usually an instant knock out. This is really just a decent filler Pokemon, or for when it's 4th and 100 with 2 seconds left in the fourth and it's snowing and then only thing I can call is a running play.
It doesn't need that many HP EVs
Watch out when HHing Groudon's EQ

Houndoom Level: 100 Male
Ability - Flash Fire
Nature - Timid
Item - Leftovers
EV's - 255 SP. DEF, 220 SPD, 35 HP
Move List
Crunch
Protect
Solar Beam
Flamethrower

Sub fails in 2v2. They break it, and your Houndoom gets EQ'ed by your own Groudon

Gengar Level: 100
Ability - Levitate
Nature - Mild
Item - Lum Berry
EV's - 200 SP. ATT, 180 SPD, 130 SP. DEF
Move List
Thunderbolt
Protect
Fire Punch
Explosion
The only Pokemon on my team that doesn't match the basic strategy is Gengar. Or does it? Fire Punch gets the boost from sunlight, Levitate lets it avoid Groudon's Earthquake, and Substitute lets it Shadow Ball enemies away without getting hurt, while Leftovers gives it some health back.
Once again, Protect>sub

Salamence Level: 100 Male
Ability - Intimidate
Nature - Adament
Item - Lum Berry
EV's - 200 ATT, 190 SP. ATT, 60 SPD, 60 HP
Move List
Earthquake
Aerial Ace
Rock Slide
Dragon Dance/Protect

Needs a lot more protect to avoid EQ and Explosion. Also Exeggutor>Castform
7/10

Yay, this is Uber, and it's really powerful, therefore, i think you should drop Bulk Up, and go for Flamethrower, or Overheat, you see: Drought bonus. But when i look on your EV spreads, i can see that you had in mind that this one should be a physical Sweeper, and not a special one, so Bulk Up might be just great on this one, thne again, it's up to you. There is another thing you could do, make it a CB'er, for a hell lot of damage, and Drought keeps sun light anyway, and is supporting two of your moves, with this set:
@ Choice Band
- Flamethrower / Overheat(for Overheat, make sure to PP it up.)
- Earthquake
- Solar Beam
- Brick Break / Rock Slide

But after all, i really think it is great, just the way it is.

Castform Level: 100 Male
Ability - Forecast
Nature - Timid
Item - Salac Berry
EV's - 240 SP. ATT, 240 SPD, 30 DEF
Move List
Sunny Day
Solar Beam
Weather Ball
Flamethrower

Solar Beam can attack every turn thanks to Drought, Flamethrower gets a STAB boost + a Sunny Day boost. Weather Ball is a given for any Castform, and Sunny Day is there in case Groudon's Drought is removed.
Sry dude, but i don't like this one.
Anyway, a nice little Groudon back up. Since it don't last long in battle, maybe Overheat or something more powerful instead of Flamethrower. What do i know... It fits great into the team.

Espeon Level: 100 Male
Ability - Synchronize
Nature - Timid
Item - Petaya Berry
EV's - 255 HP, 225 SPD, 30 SP. DEF
Moves
Psychic
Substitute
Morning Sun
Helping Hand

STAB boost with Psychic plus it's high SPD and good SP. ATT make it rather lethal. Hidden Power Fire gets the boost from the sunlight, and Morning Sun heals full health. Helping Hand used for Groudon or another Pokemon makes for usually an instant knock out. EV spreads goes for HP a lot, so Substitute works kinda great, an Morning Sun fits just great in because of Drought. Helping Hand is a good idea, but you should choose Calm Mind instead, Baton Pass + CM is great, but it wouldn't fit in here, because the only one it could Pass it's upped Special stats to, would be Gengar. So not much of a change here:
@ Leftovers / Pateya Berry
- Psychic
- Substitute
- Morning Sun / Baton Pass
- Calm Mind

But where the **** is the HP Fire you talked about? :S
Anyway, cool pokémon, but kinda Alakazam wannabe, but it would never be one.

Houndoom Level: 100 Male
Ability - Flash Fire
Nature - Timid
Item - Leftovers
EV's - 255 SP. DEF, 220 SPD, 35 HP
Move List
Crunch
Substitute
Solar Beam
Flamethrower

Just GREAT SunnyBeamer, GREAT! Crunch and Substitute, great set.

Gengar Level: 100
Ability - Levitate
Nature - Mild
Item - Leftovers
EV's - 200 SP. ATT, 180 SPD, 130 SP. DEF
Move List
Psychic
Substitute
Fire Punch
Shadow Ball

More Special Sweep, a lot of HP, great for Substitute.
Maybe Focus Punch instead of Psychic.

Salamence Level: 100 Male
Ability - Intimidate
Nature - Adament
Item - Lum Berry
EV's - 200 ATT, 190 SP. ATT, 60 SPD, 60 HP
Move List
Crunch

Dragon Dance boosts it's power, and Rock Slide takes out ICE-types. Lum Berry is there for the evil Wispers and Wavers.
Now this one is great, DDMence, i like it a lot, but i think the set would look better like this:
@ Lum Berry
- Dragon Dance
- Aerial Ace
- Rock Slide / Flamethrower(only for Drought bonus)
- Earthquake

Flamethrower gets Drought bonus, so it works great on this. I would say Earthquake instead of Crunch.

Okay, the rating thing; X/10, i don't like it, 'cause i haven't tried this team ingame, but it seems to work great, and it's a powerful team. Maybe Blissey or Snorlax would be good for it.

Last comment: WTF, 3 Substitute's on one team o_O

I hope i did help.

lavita you are almost the worst rater

1st houndoom is an awful sunny beamer Exeggutor is the best

modest/timid
sunnyday
hp:fire
solarbeam
psychic

2nd ice beam on castform? w/ sunny day up??

3rd stab on fire w/ groudon he is ground not fire

4th for get the drought bonus on espeon just pass calm minds to exeggutor and sweep

Lavita
26th February 2006, 8:50 PM
You are right, Groudon is only Ground type. I only thought that Sunny Day makes Water type attack -50%, and not Ice, but now that i think about it, it makes kinda sense.

But hey, don't say like, almost the worst rater, you didn't even take the time to rate yourself. And the minor failures, i will edit them now.

Updated Espeon. I forgot to change the comment when I replace Hidden Power Fire with Substitute.

Thank you for the comments.

Lavita
28th February 2006, 10:01 PM
Oh yeah, with that team, throw in a lot of Protect's, if it's for 2on2. Like AirLock200 said.

Anyway, it's rated for both normal- and 2on2Battles now

How does that work?

Sunny Day teams really fail, and especially this one. You don't even have Clorophyll on this team.

EDIT: I live.

When did you do that? You haven't even posted in this thread until just now.

I personally like Shiftry as a Sunny-beamer.
The Speed, THE SPEED! After a sunny day/Groundon's Drought it outruns almost everything.
