Thanks, what do I do about Steel types though? Wait that's why I have so many Pokemon with EQ!

It is the magic of switching out my good friend.
You simply switch into something that has EQ, (Which you said you had lots of) and own them good!

your moves are fine, just give it a Leftovers or chesto berry

Charizard_overheat
5th March 2006, 8:02 PM
my moveset consists of
belly drum
body slam (it can also paralyze)
covet and ....
double edge

another one has

body slam
strength
amnesia (snorlax lacks in sp. def)
hyper beam

the last moveset may not be final because i am ev training with a macho brace

They aren't particually good sets.
The first one is OWNED by anything that resists Normal.
Also, Snorlax has really good Sp Def. It has lower Def, which is why you have Curse.
AND, Hyper Beam sucks.

Both of those movests are beaten by a Gastly or a Duskull. In fact, I'd just say ghost

i think earthquake
double edge
ice beam
tunder

no... just no

look at it's special attack.

now look at it's attack.

now see that it has curse to boost it's attack.

now go to smogon and look at snorlax.

The only time you'd consider special attack on lax is with fire blast to eat skarm. but the set at the beginning is good. return and double-edge are options over body slam

ZDGK's moveset is fine already.
Oh yeah:
-Double-Edge
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Shadow Ball/Earthquake

Rest and sleep talk over beam and thunder.

There's also SubPunching Snorlax if you like that, but your set is just fine:

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Shadow Ball
- Return

focus punch/fire blast/body slam/earthquake, if you like using strictly competitive sets in game

Surf/Thunder/Blizzard/Psychic, is the standard sppf Snorlax so feel free to use it

Oh my god, it's 0malax.

I'm not surprised, yet at the same time, I don't ever remember seeing that set.

How can snorlax even use psychic?

Another option:

Snorlax@Choice Band
Adamant/Careful
-Body Slam/Return
-Shadow Ball
-Earthqauke
-Fire Blast/Focus Punch/Self Destruct

You might want another pokemon to take special abuse if you use cblax.

Wasn't 0malax shadow ball over earthquake?

That set gets me winning all my battles so don't mock it >:O!

In other news, my fave moveset for lax is the one Airlock posted and that is:
-Double-Edge
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Earthquake

I would personally go with the Sub-punching Lax, but that's just me.

Hmm, I'm the odd one out here it seems. I designed my Snorlax to be an all-out physical sweeper:

Snorlax @ Lonely nature
475 HP
Moves:
Body Slam
Shadow Ball
Selfdestruct
Protect

I use it mostly in Orre Colosseum, in tandem with my Sceptile. Sceptile Detects, then the opponents (usually) move and either bounce off Sceptile's shield or do inconsequential damage to Snorlax, then Snorlax booms and takes out all but Sceptile. Depending on the opponent, though, I can also pull it late in a match for either a boom (if I can set it up) or a Shadow Ball/Body Slam barrage.

To many posts to read here is the best

Snorlax@NOT CHESTO
Adament
Return
Curse

Rest

return because after a few curses par support wont do squat

This could only warrant one thing: Get the hell outta here befo' I pop ya with mah shootin' gun.

In other words, we're here to rate teams.

Snorlax@Leftovers
Adamant Nature
Body Slam
Brick Break
Earthquake
Shadow Ball

Tazzler
1st April 2006, 4:31 PM
Brick Break sucks on snorlax.

1. It doesn't get stab.
2. A non-effective return is more powerful than a neutral brick break.
3. It is outclassed by EQ.

SealElement

i think earthquake
double edge
ice beam
tunder
lmao

Looks fine as it is. Curselax wants his lefties...

Oh, and anyone who puts brick break on Normals needs to be shot. You don't do jack **** to Skarm anyways unless you curse...

Surf/Thunder/Blizzard/Psychic, is the standard sppf Snorlax so feel free to use it
There's this site called Smogon.com. (http://www.smogon.com/) Go there and learn how to make a moveset.

It's called a joke.

I think he knows how to make and use a moveset.

Yes because curselax totally counters and beats skarm.

TOTALLY.

And skarms in-game are lol.
