I hope there will, but don't think so. It's too much work.

It sounds awesome, but GF are probably lazy enough to not add it.
Plus, imagine a Torkoal, for example, trying to dodge Surf. xD.

There should be.

I hope there will be. It would seem more realistic other than there only being a message saying : "Pokemon's attack missed!"

I hope so, but I doubt it.

Yeah it would definately make more sense to see it than to not, and it would be better to see the attack rather than to just see 'Pokemon's attack missed.' However, it doesnt really make a difference at all, and seeing as though i have no idea whether theyll be there or not i'll guess and say no.

I'm sure there weill be, especially considering all thats been done graphicly for the game, one could guess that should be included aswell. Here's hopin'.

well i guess there will be. i just remembered that attacking pokemon will accually hit the opponent. so it's not beyond reason they would complete it but having misses too.

I think so, because if it don't, that'd be sort of lame. >>

Yeah I hope there is,or maybe the enemy can dodge.Because when you think about it,if the enemys evasion goes up and you miss your attack while it stands there thats really dumb.
I dont think theyll bother ,but I hope they do!

it could be that they'll make them but IMO they shouldnt since it would just make a battle longer-winded. after having your attack miss what you need is to waste more time seeing it miss the target!

I think they just have to do that... I mean, look at the Blizzard in the video. You see it striking both Pikachu and Groudon at the same time, so they really have no choice other than to make the Pokémon somehow dodge if the attack misses.

I agree. Colo and XD annoyed me when the "attack missed" message would appear with no attack animation. Stadium made it much more dramatic, with the attack being performed, even if it didn't have a "miss" animation.
I would love "miss" animations in this game, but as long as the PKMN at least performs the regular attack animation and then just a message saying it missed appears, then i'm okay with that.

I do also think so

I hope so. I think it is very possible for something like that to happen.

Yes: they already done animations for physical contacts, it's possible for the missing attacks. It would be totaly cool!

hmmm, well, its only been 4 generations of pokemon and games made, so you could think they would be adding animations...

I believe they are going to crash into a wall or somethin if they miss

If this is another stadium game, then the whole point is for the graphics. If you want the quickest battles possible, why bother even playing a game like this? Go back to netbattle or something.

the point of such games may be to view your Pokemon battles in 3D and not exactly having quick competitive battles, but that does not mean they should be slow as hell, wasting your time shifting through shots of the two opponents, showing each individual hit from Sandstorm, display messages for about 5 seconds, and a whole bunch of other crap that's just plain unnecessary. It doesn't help that an RPG mode's included into later installments (and is possibly gonna be included in this one). If you think fans of the 3D games should pay a cost of being pointlessly inconvenienced as much as possible in order to view 3D battles, then I think you should just go to hell. We've suffered enough of the afforementioned crap, thank you very much, and if the programmers are capable of either removing or lessening such problems while still maintaining the 3D graphics, then they should damn well do so.

I personally would like to see missed attacks, make it as realistic as possible, tis a good feeling.
I also wouldn't mind if for little pokemon such as Pikachu or Eevee to waddle and trip if the pokemon they attack dodges their move say it's something like tackle. Just something to add in for the cuteness effect, chicks dig it yo.

Yea they dig it mane. Maybe when Wailord uses surf, there would be a open gap that would surely miss the pokemon as small as pikachu and as big as groudon.

I don't see why they wouldn't. Why tempt us with lovely graphics of pokémon destruction and NOT give us attacks missing and making things go boom? Though it may turn out that the attakcs will just fade before the reach the edge of the ring.
Eh, still, it looks awesome.

Question: What about The Selfdestruct and Explosion attacks when they miss pokemon?

The new pokemon games keep getting more advanced so i think it's possible, and would be great if it would show the attack missing, or the pokemon dodging it.

It's what I've always wished for in a Pokemon game...it makes no sense for nothing to happen when it misses...and yes, I think there will be graphics for misses.

I think there'll be graphic when each attacks missed. What about special attacks like ThunderBolt or Psychic? What do they look like when they miss?

Chances are if they add any sort of "miss" animation, it will look more like a block animation. Like Charizard folding his wings over himself, or Squirtle ducking into his shell...
I'm up for miss animations. I'm also up for options to turn it off if it gets annoying.
Angelic Elf Ivy

I think there will be, or at least there should be. It'll make the battle seem more real if you see the attack miss the target instead of the pokemon just sit there and the script say that the attack missed.

I hope there are animations for attacks missing, it would be espacially cool for a physical attack to miss, like a PKMN dodging or whatever it needs to do. I hated it when the screen says 'Attack missed' because I always thought to myself of course it missed, there's nothing there.

it would be nice to see the attacks miss, though im affrain nintendo&GF,are too lazy to add it&have gotten carried away with batte contact graphics though they could make the game say something else instead of attack missed like for ex groudon uses hyperbeam on scpetile that used double team it could say groudon useed hyperbeam and it could hsow scpetile making mutilpe copies and having hyperbeam go through 1 of the copis then scpetile come out and the cpoies diappear and he attacks groduon back ect.
