Right I'm new to effort values but Ive been raising pokemon with it no bother until now I hatched a staryu with stats at level 5 of:

hp19
att:9
def:10
spa:13
SpD:11
spd:15

nature timid its IVs are

25
20
5
25
20
20

but I have so far given it 224 speed EVs and 108 Spec att evs and its at level 22 according to the IV calc it should be

hp50
att26
def30
spa68
SpD33
spd112

but it only has

51
25
29
45
34
62
It only made two big jumps in speed of 7 and 8 can anyone help out or explain I have been macho brace training it in FR on route 1 for speed and pokemon tower for spec attack. Thanks.

I believe that the increase in stats show when the pokemon gets to level 100. You are doing everything right, I think.

Hmm I don't know I never had any of that with my other pokémon but that might be because I raised them against higher levl opponents. If your right I hope it maxs out at 50 cause I HATE raising them to 100(so slow and boring;)).

not sure..i killed a bunch of spinda with my mewtwo making its special attack grow by like 18 points in one level, but then i did the same thing again and its special attack only grew by like 3...hope that helps somehow

i dont think there is a way, i guess you have to just keep track yourself with tallys and stuff

Yeah it would be handy to have EVs as visable values but that might make the game less fun for casual players that don't know about it, that sort of happened to me cause I'm a perfectionist so once I knew abou them I couldn't ignore them .

its IVs are

25
20
5
25
20
20

Those Iv's are like the range they are in, you can't tell the actual Iv's until very high levels.
You train your Pokemon just right, the Ev's give stat boosts until level 100.

Hmm level 100 damn, me and a friend have a level 50 match coming up which is m first match since red/blue but we might eventually raise the level since I want to do the level 100 things on colloseum and starmie is one of my old favourites.

The problem is you don't know your exact IVs. When you enter them in, it gives you a range of possible IVs, and it also gives you the average. You probably just used the averages. (notice that all your IVs given are multiples of 5)

Given your level 5 stats, I was able to run it through my own stat calculator. Added to the information you gave about your EVs, I was able to calculate ranges for your IVs.

Assuming all the numbers you've given are correct, your IVs are:

HP: 27-30
Atk: 15-19
Sp Atk: 20*
Speed: 11-14
Sp Def: 22-26
Def: 0-3

*It shouldn't be possible to only have 25 Sp. Atk with 108 EVs in that stat, and when it had 13 at Lv 5. One of these numbers may be incorrect. The IV given is if you have 107 EVs in Sp. Atk.

I'd say there might be a few EVs that got lost in the middle of a level up but hey are definatly the right numbers. I'll have to read up on how IV's actually work again.
