So I restarted my Emerald game and I have a level 10 Ralts and a level 20 Marshtomp (took me a while to find a Ralts). Anyway, thats beside the point. I have about 10 pokemon and I need help figuring out which ones to use. I like powerhouses, high HP, and high defense. I need to know which pokes I should use, and any move changes. Please dont recommend Hidden Power and a certain type, because I dont know how to use that. I dont have any item or nature specifications, but if you have recommendations let me know. Anyway here are my ideas:

(There in abc order)

Dusclops:
Future Sight
Will-o-wisp
Mean Look
Shadow Punch

Flygon:
Hyper Beam
Sandstorm
Dragonbreath
Crunch/ Sand- Attack

Gardevoir:
Hypnosis
Dream Eater
Psychic
Imprison

Magcargo:
Flamethrower
Rock Slide
Body Slam
Yawn/Smog

Manectric:
Bite
Thunder
Rain Dance
Thunderwave

Metagross:
Meteor Mash
Hyper Beam
Psychic
Iron Defense?

Salamence:
Dragon Claw
Crunch
Fly
Protect?

Shiftry:
Harden/Growth
Extrasensory
Faint Attack
Solarbeam/ Giga drain (for recovery)

Swampert:
Muddy Water
Surf
Earthquake
Protect?

Walrien:
Rest
Snore
Body Slam
Blizzard

Get Back to me soon!!!
Because I'm not gonna raise my ralts if I shouldn't use him.

Well, Hidden Power is a very useful move and is worth your time to look into it. Check the main site and the sticky and if that doesn't help, PM and I'll try to explain it.

I dunno who exactly you should pick, but I'll give suggestions for the ones I know:

Flygon
Nature: Adamant
-EQ
-Rock Slide
-Screech/Fire Blast
-Quick Attack/Fire Blast

Gardevoir
Nature: Modest
-Psychic
-Thunderbolt
-Calm Mind
-Will-o-wisp/Hypnosis

Manectric
Nature: Modest/Timid
-Thunderbolt
-Thunderwave
-Crunch
-Substitute? <-- Ideally HP Water/Ice/Grass

Metagross
Nature: Adamant
-EQ
-Meteor Mash
-Explosion/Shadow Ball/Sludge Bomb
-Agility/Shadow Ball/Sludge Bomb

Salamence
Nature: Adamant
-Aerial Ace
-Dragon Dance
-EQ
-Rock Slide

Shiftry
Nature: Adamant
-Swords Dance/Fake Out
-Explosion
-Brick Break
-Shadow Ball

Swampert
Nature: Brave?
-EQ
-Curse/Rest
-Ice Beam
-Surf

Walrein
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Rest/Curse
-EQ

Why not hypnosis and dream eater?
That's a good combo.
And I dont think I'll use hyper beam, I dont like 2 turn attacks very much.

Hypnosis' accuracy is too low to be able to depend upon it all the time, and if you can't put the enemy to sleep, Dream Eater does nothing. Besides, why waste half your moveset for a combo that might restore a bit of HP (since that's its only significant advantage over Psychic), when you can use those two slots for moves like Tbolt and Will-o-wisp, which give you more type coverage and allow you to weaken physical sweepers.

Dusclops@lefties
Careful Nature
Seismic Toss
Will-o-wisp
Pain Split / Rest
Shadow Ball

Flygon@lefties / Choice Band
Adamant Nature
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Screech / Fire Blast
Quick Attack

Fire Blast is for the Choice Band set. Use lefties if you're using Screechgon.

Gardevoir@lefties
Modest Nature
Calm Mind
T-Bolt
Psychic
Will-o-Wisp

Magcargo@lefties
Bold Nature
Flamethrower
Light Screen / Protect
Reflect / Protect
Yawn

This thing can't do much though.

Manectric@Petaya Berry
Timid Nature
Crunch
T-Bolt
Substitute
Thunderwave

Metagross@lefties / Choice Band
Adamant Nature
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Agility / Sludge Bomb
Explosion

Use Agility with Leftovers and Choice Band with Sludge Bomb. No matter what the version is, Explosion from Metagross will kill almost anything.

Salamence@lefties / Choice Band
Adamant Nature
Dragon Dance / Fire Blast
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Aerial Ace

Dragon Dancers are deadly. So is the Choice Band set. Fire Blast is there on the Choice Band set to kill Skarmory and other physical walls.

Shiftry@lefties
Mild Nature
Sunny Day
Solarbeam
Shadow Ball
Brick Break / Explosion

One of the best Sunnybeamers in the game. Or you could use the pure physical set.

Shiftry@lefties / Choice Band
Adamant Nature
Swords Dance / Fake Out
Brick Break
Shadow Ball
Explosion

Swampert@lefties
Relaxed Nature
Ice Beam
Surf
Earthquake
Rest

Or you could use Cursepert:

Swampert@lefties
Brave / Relaxed / Sassy Nature
Curse
Earthquake
Surf / Ice Beam / Hydro Pump
Rest

Walrien@lefties
Bold Nature
Rest
Ice Beam
Surf
Encore / Toxic / Yawn

Changes are in BOLD.

Torkoal is much better than Magcargo.

Dusclops is best used without any attack moves.

Confuse Ray
Rest
Mean Look
Toxic/curse

Well I picked the team I'm gonna use.
It's
Swampert
Gardevoir
Metagross
Salamence
Walrien
Dusclops

And I dont like to breed
So any revisions would be helpful.

And Frost how would I get that many leftovers? There's only 2 in the game.

Well, at the very least you should breed for Salamence so you get Dragon Dance. Other than that, I think you should be able to get by without breeding, although some egg moves are better than what you'd end up using (Will-o-wisp vs Hypnosis for example)

Thanks for the advice.
What should I breed with Bagon for Dragon Dance?
And does the poke have to know the move or just use it in the future?

Pika Egg

Altaria learns it at Lv.40, and the father has to know the move for it to be passed down to the baby, if that's what you're asking.

Ya thats what I meant.
Is there anyone who learns it earlier?
I dont want to spend that much time on it if I dont have to.
And why would I have to teach him dragon dance if it doesnt have dragon attacks?
Or does that boost regular attacks too?
I cant always remember and it sucks thats serebii's domain was stolen.

WhiteWizard42

it boosts all physical attacks (oddly, those do not include dragon-type attacks).

altaria is the quickest to learn DD.

Ya I looked up horsea and it doesnt learn it until freakin 50. AHh.

Pika Egg

Keep in mind you can catch high level wild Altarias to minimize leveling up (in the Rayquaza tower thing)
