Hi, I have posted a few times before with a planned team and a question on whether i should use Asumarill or Whiscash.

However, now I have decided to put it to serribii fourm experts to cure my lack of enjoyment.

The story is, I have never played a Ru/Sa/Em game as i bought Fire Red when i decided i wanted to pick up my GBA again, so really i have never expirenced the game in its entirity. However, not so long ago my brother gave me his Ruby game to have ( as he owns every game.)

So i decided to play it but after doing the same old same old on FR I wanted a change and yes the story and the new poke's were increasing my enjoyment factor, then i decided that i wanted to make a real decent team and got bogged down in the old choosing the right poke/moveset breeding idea ect. ect.

However now im lacking enjoyment and rather am more frustraited, so I put it to you lot to help me.

I would like people to tell me some pokemon that they like and why, suggesting a move set that doesn't involve endless breeding and every hold item to be lefties...so i can copy and basically bring more enjoyment to the game, as well as have a decent in game team.

NB: I will only be able to use One TM of each and pokemon from the Ruby game.

So I will start myself off in selecting My starter as: Torchic.

Many thanks
Sam

we can't build you a team. :O

give us the pokemon and movesets you were thinking, and then we go from there.

and pokemon need egg moves to be their best.

You can get along the game fine without bred-on moves.

Ruby alone, I have a fondness for Starmie and Zangoose due to their coolness and also because they do great in battle (with Zangoose being very underrated).

Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid (or Modest) Nature
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Recover
-Ice Beam

Zangoose @Leftovers/Lum Berry
Adamant Nature
-Return
-Swords Dance
-Shadow Ball
-Brick Break

Ok Mad_mod um, I was Thinking along the lines of

Blaziken
- Bulk Up
- Flamethrower
- Sky Uppercut
- Earthquake

Vileplume
Trait: Clorophyll
- Sunny Day
- Solar Beam
- Sleep Powder
- Moonlight

Asumaril
Trait: Huge Power
- Surf/Hydro Pump
- Double Edge
- Ice Beam
- Focus Punch

Gardivor
Trait: Synconize
- Clam Mind
- Psyhic
- Shadow Ball/ Thunder Bolt
- Hyponsis

Manectric
- Thunder Bolt/ Spark (as i planned on using Thunderbolt on Gardi)
- Thunder wave
- Bite
- ???

I currently own: Torchic, Ralts, Marill and Oddish

Furthermore I own A Seedot and was thinking along the lines of:

Shiftry
Trait Chlorophyll
- Sunny Day
- Solar Beam
- Explosion
- Shadow Ball/ Extrasensory

Instead of Vileplume

However, I made this thread because I really Dont know what poke's to use, the move-set to use and wanted opinions on Pokemon that everyone liked that could increase my enjoyment on the game...

Cheers
Sam
