I didn't like your team. Don't get more than 1 attack of the same type and think about attacks that cover your pokemon's weaknesses. Also, maximize your pokemon's Physical and Special Attack and STAB. Suggestions in bold.

Cipher Admin, that wasn’t a great rate. Why would you put SPECIAL Shadow Ball on PHYSICAL attacking Snorlax? There’s a lot of other problems with your rate too, but I’m not gonna bother mentioning them all.

D'oh! My bad. I was still thinking about the old system <_<;; I still havent fully recovered. :(

However, why give Sukatanku Fire blast? (is this a Sunny Day team?) its base SA is a measly 71 and he gains no STAB.

Swellow_91
22nd November 2006, 2:17 PM
^^ Aragornbird gave Sukatanku Fire Blast to defeat a type his other attacks can't take care off , Steel. As most Steel pokémon have low Special Defense Fire Blast is fine.

@ Chav Hunder v.1 ; go with Aragornbird's movesets. He's a respected rater here on SPPf and his movesets are always pretty good.

2 vs. 2 is WAY different than 1 vs. 1.
And you were most likely playing against a bunch of noobs anyways.

D/P's Wi-Fi battling will show people like you just how bad all offense tactics really are.

Also, DSDark, things like Luster Cannon on Emperuto and Rock Climb on Snorlax are really bad choices. Luster Cannon isn't effective against anything Enperuto is weak against and Double-Edge >>> Rock Climb.

okay i agree so what do you suggest for emperuto then, and instead of double-edge, Reminiscant Headbutt to against fighting type

If you've ever played competitive Advance, you would know that Double-Edge is the best choice for Sleep Talk Snorlax. Hit things hard, Rest off the recoil, and continue attacking even while you sleep.

Anyways, here are three good Enperuto sets:

Enperuto @Leftovers
Adamant Nature
-Waterfall
-Earthquake
-Swords Dance
-Agility/Drill Peck

Enperuto @Leftovers
Modest/Bold/Calm Nature
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

Note: Item should be Beautiful Skin if you want to escape from Jibacoil.

Enperuto @Liechi Berry
Adamant Nature
-Flail
-Waterfall
-Substitute
-Agility

what does beautiful skin do

aragornbird
23rd November 2006, 4:03 AM
Allows user to escape at any team.

Jibacoil is like Enperuto's worst enemy. It traps it with Magnet Pull and kills it with Thunderbolt. Beautiful Skin prevents trapping.

If you don't have a clue about teambuilding, then you should not be rating teams. Number rates don't help.

You can get better at giving movesets by experimenting on your own. Just open a dex entry and start looking at the moves and stats. Then take a piece of paper and write down some things that you saw. With that information you make a moveset ( try to write down an explanation to yourself why you chose that particular moveset ).

^^ Well , that's how I do it when I encounter a pokémon which I never gave a rate...

If you don't like that way , try looking at rates of other people. You'll get better at it when you see the reasons behind their choices.
