Pokémons with Insomnia and Early Bird abilities will give trouble. They consist of Pokémons that can take reduced damage or are even immune to Shadow Balls. Then the only other way to get rid of them will be Focus Punching, but you are bound get hit in-between. Otherwise the set works nicely.

I prefer Banette cos it is faster than Dusclops

Banette

Will-o Wisp
Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt
Night Shade

snatch would **** up blissey big time

Sceptile_rules06

Snatch is a bit of a waste of a move space

Reno
17th December 2006, 1:17 PM
hardly. you use snatch and steal stuff from opponents stat up move. say absol or whatever uses swords dnace, you use snatch. you get a free swords dance. and sure bannete may be faster than dusclops, but dusclops is longer lasting.

Sceptile_rules06

Speed outruns 'longer lasting' Pokemon

Banette looks cooler, but saying that dusclops better the banette at walling tanking

Sceptile_rules06

If it's a Ghost pokemon you want, just use Gengar

Frost Nova
17th December 2006, 1:24 PM
BS. Of course not. In that case all fast sweepers will be sending all walls and bulky waters to their respective graves won't they? Physical sweepers don't like switching into Dusclops because it's extremely hard to take down and they really don't like Will-o-Wisps.

EDIT: Gengar's a much better option than Banette in terms of sweeping.

yes it is but if you only have emerald

howling houndour
17th December 2006, 1:32 PM

sub-punching muk

Frost Nova
17th December 2006, 1:54 PM
Lax can easily kick the crap out of Blissey. Metagross, heracross and Cursing Swampert get a mention as well.

Anyway lets not talk about blissey I hate it

Snorlax@lefties
Careful Nature
- Curse
- Return
- Shadow Ball / Earthquake
- Rest

Standard Curselax. Earthquake > Shadow Ball ingame since you're more likely to run into a steel type than a levitating ghost. Body Slam is not recommended for Curselax since after one Curse Snorlax will still be slower than any base 130 speed pokemon, paralysed or not.

Snorlax@lefties
Careful Nature
- Double Edge
- Shadow Ball / Earthquake
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

ReSTalking Snorlax. Doesn't have the punch that Curselax does, but it absorbs damage and status like nothing. STAB Double Edge with Rest to negate recoil really hurts.

There are other sets for Snorlax, but I can't be bothered to list them out here. The above two are the most common however.

Reno
17th December 2006, 2:13 PM

howling houndour

It could work... but it can give a lot of problems since you actually NEED shadow ball, but rest either... and if you don't have Block, the whole Yawn-punching set is screwed... so it won't work

W/O Yawn: Crap
W/O Block: Crap
W/O Rest: Soon to say goodbye!
W/O Shadow Ball: 0mgZ 1t'Z 4 1337 g3ng4r... wh4t t0 d0
W/O Focus Punch

And I don't know so much 'bout Banette..

Hay why does no-one put toxic on snorlax and use it as a wall/tank
