Umm, I have a question. I have noticed I have the power to close my own threads with the Thread Tools button. But I've also heard about people who can't. Is this like a power a few members have got or are the people saying they can't and they have to PM a mod (in threads THEY have started) just n00bs who don't look for the CLOSE button where they should?

I believe all members are able to remove their own topics, but it's not closing, it's deleting. Deleting the first post deletes the whole topic.

All Members can delete their topics, Mod's and Admin's can close them...But even if you delete your topic, Mod's and Admin's can still see them

Yes... Members can't close their own threads; only deleting. Which is under "Administrative Tools" or something along that line. Moderators and above can close, move, etc.
