its called an avatar.
you go to

user cp --> edit avatar --> and chose one from the gallery
also, seeing as your new, please read the rules and welcome ^.^

Ok. Go to User Cp(at the top of the screen) scroll down the side, go to edit Avatar, find the one you want, and bingo!
