I'm VERY new hear, so forgive me if this isn't the exact place where to post a question. I've been reading about all the aspects of the Pokemon games and I kept coming accross the acronym "STAB" or "STABed". I know it means "Same Type Attack Bonus" and I've seen it used in sentences, but I'm still not clear on what it exactly means. I've seen it used in sentences like "watch out for a STABed ____" or "____ is a good STABed Pokemon". Is there anyone who can give a clear definition of what Same Type Attack Bonus means and/or refers to? Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

STAB is the bonus given to a pokemon's attack move's power if the type of the move and the pokemon are the same. the bonus is that the pokemon's attack's power is multiplied by 1.5 That is STAB, in a nutshell.

So, for example if I have a Ninjask using a Bug type move, that move's damage would be boosted by 1.5 because Ninjask is a bug Pokemon? Thank you for your help btw! Much appreciated!
