I always have trouble in the Battle Dome. Can you please suggest if I should replace any moves or have any different Pokemon on my team?

I know why, is it because a random Water type comes out and Surfs down your TTar and Ice Beams your Salamence?

Truth is, you team's moves/items/natures aren't very good.

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam

Salamence @ Choice Band
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Fire Blast / Hydro Pump

Milotic @ Leftovers
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Shell Bell can be used in lieu of Choice Band on Salamence until you can get one. Otherwise, team looks okay in general.

Could replace your Tyrannitar so sandstorm don't hit your own pokemon.
Try maybe a psychical wall:
Registeel@Leftovers
Careful Nature (+SDef -SAtt)
- Explosion
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Iron Defence

You could use Iron Defence 1st few turns, then Explode against pokemon that you won't deal much damage against anyway.

crudent
29th April 2007, 3:00 PM
^ That must have been the lamest excuse not to use a TTar.

Fact is, Sandstorm won't harm you much. The Leftovers will heal Milotic. Rather, it's the Sandstorm that's used against the opponents that hurt them badly.

And Registeel doesn't work as a physical wall. Not a chance, with 2 physical weaknesses. Do you think Iron Defense will work when all the opponent needs is just one turn to KO you.

The team I gave is okay. Please don't give rubbish rates.

@ Glalie: You might want to put Shell Bell on TTar, because of the item clause in BF.

Is there any other moveset I could use for Milotic? I don't have a Rest TM. Or maybe you could suggest another Pokemon to use instead of Milotic? I have a lot of Lv. 100's that are as strong as Milotic.

crudent

Milotic @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Hypnosis/Toxic

Ultimate Glalie
29th April 2007, 4:19 PM
Nope, sorry, I don't have Toxic either. Could you please suggest a different Pokemon? Thanks so much for helping. :)

Um. Suicune? Swampert? Regice?

29th April 2007, 4:45 PM
Go with the Milotic that ReStalks. Breed for it.

Walrein learns Rest naturally. He and Milotic are both in the Water 1 egg group. So, Rest will be passed to the baby Feebas.

crudent

Seems that Glalie wants to use something other than Milotic.

Ultimate Glalie
29th April 2007, 5:00 PM
Um. Suicune? Swampert? Regice?I've got Swampert and Regice. Will you please give me some movesets for them?

Seems that Glalie wants to use something other than Milotic.Yes. Please give me movesets for Swampert and Regice.

lilmo25
29th April 2007, 6:09 PM
Swampert@leftovers
sassy or brave
curse
earthquake
ice beam/rock slide
surf/hydro pump/rest-if you can get it

Regice@leftovers
calm or bold
ice beam
thunderbolt
psych up/thunder wave/toxic/counter/sleep talk
rest

Hope I helped

crudent
29th April 2007, 6:41 PM
Those look whack.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Brave / Quiet / Sassy / Relaxed Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Rest

Sleep Talk on that Regice. Nature doesn't matter, seeing as you've caught one already.

Ultimate Glalie
29th April 2007, 6:41 PM
Thanks, lilmo25. Is there anywhere I can buy/be taught/find Rest? If I could find it or buy it I could clone it with a Pokemon and then teach it to all that should have it in their movesets.

crudent
29th April 2007, 6:48 PM
Lilycove, to the far right house. Might want to clone it first, before teaching it.

Lilycove, to the far right house. Might want to clone it first, before teaching it.Ah, found it now! Great! Now I can teach Rest and Sleep Talk to my Milotic and teach Rest to Swampert. Just one more question, what would be a good moveset for Aerodactyl? This is mine so far:

Aerodactyl @ Leftovers
Quirky Nature

Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Wing Attack
Ancientpower

What should I change in his moveset?

Edit: Woot! Rank up!!

bella_bellaboo
29th April 2007, 8:01 PM
Aerodactyl @:Choice Band
Trait:Rock Head
Adamant/Jolly Nature
Rock slide
Earthquake
Double-edge
Aerial Ace.

Ultimate Glalie
30th April 2007, 8:04 AM
Thanks for the help, all you guys. One more thing, where can I find an Aerial Ace TM?

The Mighty Wurmple
30th April 2007, 8:29 AM
You get it from Winona after beating her.
If you don't have it now, you have probably taught it to your Pokemon/sold it/chucked it away.
Use Wing Attack if you can't get another Aerial Ace.

Scepgatr
30th April 2007, 8:54 AM
You can always breed Aerial Ace on to Aerodactyl.
Spearow (Lv. 25) -> Aerodactyl
Taillow (Lv. 34) -> Aerodactyl

Ultimate Glalie
30th April 2007, 12:57 PM
Thanks.

Now here's my new team, I didn't breed to get the right natures, I just changed the items and attacks:

(for TTar I used a moveset from Serebii.net, because I didn't want to breed to get Dragon Dance)
Tyranitar @ Shell Bell
Careful

Earthquake
Rock Slide
Substitute
Focus Punch

(Salamence I didn't teach Aerial Ace because I didn't have a TM of it)
Salamence @ Choice Band
Quirky

Dragon Claw
Fly
Crunch
Fire Blast

(For Milotic I did exactly what you guys said, I just didn't breed to get a better nature)

Milotic @ Leftovers
Quiet

Surf
Ice Beam
Rest
Sleep Talk

In the Battle Dome, whenever I have to battle Swamperts paired with Gyarados', I always lose. Is there any strategy my team can use to beat them?

crudent
30th April 2007, 2:13 PM
Are Swampert / Gyarados pairs that common the the battle dome? I've never seen one there ever.

Anyway, your team has no chance against both of them. The best you can do is for Milotic to hammer away at both of them with Ice Beam. And pray that they don't have Ice Beam for Salamence and Surf for Tyranitar.

bella_bellaboo
30th April 2007, 8:42 PM
can you get the special salamence,

Salamence @:Leftovers
Trait:Intimidate
Modest Nature
Fire Blast
Hydro Pump
Dragon Claw
Flamethrower.

For Milotic if you can, get Bold.

Tyranitar @:Leftovers
Trait:Sandstream
Adamant Nature
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Aerial Ace
Thunderblt/Crunch/Ice Beam/Iron Tail/Focus Punch/Fire Blast.

^ Doesn't change the outcome of meeting the Swampert/Gyarados duo.

The Mighty Wurmple

Why would you have Flamethrower and Fire Blast on the same set, bella_bellaboo?

Ultimate Glalie
1st May 2007, 8:55 AM
If I swapped my Milotic with a Starmie, would that be better? I read somewhere that Starmie is good in the Battle Frontier.

The Mighty Wurmple
1st May 2007, 9:04 AM
I'd swap either Tyranitar or Salamence with a wall of some sort, and add Starmie over Milotic.

That makes it a balanced team, with a wall, a special sweeper and a physical sweeper.

Ultimate Glalie
1st May 2007, 9:36 AM
What kind of a wall could I use? Something like a Registeel?

And one more n00by question, if my Pokemon's effort points are up to 510, would using a rare candy have no side effects?

Scepgatr
1st May 2007, 9:37 AM
Gengar can learn Thunderbolt and Giga Drain. That will easily take care of your Swampert/Gyarados problem. From what I see, your current team (in the post after my previous post) won't make it through the Battle Frontier. Why have Salamence with Choice Band? If you aren't going to breed for correct Natures, then, your movesets loose effectiveness. Also Serebii.net doesn't provide good movesets.

After EV training, Rare Candies won't have any negative side effects. Registeel isn't great. Best go with Dusclops/Snorlax/Regice etc.

The Mighty Wurmple
1st May 2007, 9:40 AM
Steelix is another physical wall if you need a Pokemon that can hold back physical attackers.

Ultimate Glalie
1st May 2007, 10:08 AM
Finished training my Starmie to Lv. 100. Here is it's moveset:

Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid

Surf
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam

^Is that moveset any good?^

Why don't you go catch regirock and registeel.

Ultimate Glalie

I have them both.

crudent

AHHH we were having such a good discussion, and then some noob has to barge in. Oh well, don't get Registeel, it sucks bad. Avoid Regirock too.

Your Starmie looks fine.

Sorry must have made a Typo, Mighty Wurmple. i meant Crunch/Brick Break,
For the last move/moves.
