So, I'm considering a moveset for my soon to be golem.

For a STAB attack I'm deciding between:
- Magnitude
- Rock Slide
- Rock Blast

I don't know why it's such a hard decision. Someone help me out please!

ONE MORE THING! (sorry)
I only have ruby and sapphire. Is there any other rock/ground pokemon that could replace my golem and be a much better replacement?

Rhydon is better than Golem, it has more attack to work with. But here's your moveset:

Golem @ Leftovers/Choice Band
Trait: Rock Head
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -Satk)
Earthquake (better than magnitude because there's no variable)
Rock Blast (for subs)
Explosion
Double Edge

I prefer Rock Slide, for better accuracy and a guaranteed 75 (112.5) power each time. There's almost no Subs ingame.

Aw man, I gotta breed rock slide onto it. And Ruzzy, the whole point for me to get a golem was for a STAB'd rock attack. Thanks though. I hope more people put input into this thread.

go 4 rock slide bacuse of the 30% chance of flinch as well as the other reasons. paralysing and rock sliding is great. 30% paralasis chance + 30% flinch = fun. not that golem can get a pyralasis move soz...
