View Full Version : The WiFi chatroom...help?

Hoping that this is the place to post this, but whenever I try to get onto the WiFi chat, it says something like I need to install an ActiveX control thing. Does anyone know what I can do to get onto it?

WiFi Chat? I think I'm missing something.
Anyways, if you're using Internet Explorer, click the bar that comes up when you try to access the chat, and select "Install ActiveX Control". Hopefully that should install whatever you're missing.
You neede to have administrative privileges in order to install controls.

Nope, that didn't work. It says something like Windows stopped my computer from downloading the ActiveX control because the publisher is unknown. It also says 'several Java virtual machines running in the same process caused an error' or similar stuff.

well you can also just use MIRC...I really hate using web based chat applets myself.

I've tried...it doesn't say how to use it and I've spent quite a while trying to figure it out. Unless you can tell me how to use MIRC, I'm afraid I'm pretty much clueless.

mIRC is simple. Just open it and type
/server irc.dejatoons.net -j #spp
/server irc.dejatoons.net -j #spp-wifi For the wifi channel.
After that, the channel will open up and it works just like Java - Only better.
