Now that Diamond and Pearl have been released, does anybody here find it difficult to seriously play any 3rd gen games? Or is it just me?

I don't mind playing 3rd gen games now. I restarted FR and I'm having alot of fun.

I think it's easier to go back to 3rd gen games from DP than it was to go back from 3rd to 2nd gen (I replayed Crystal a while ago).

Not for me. The games always seemed the same from generation to generation. I play Pearl and Firered almost everyday. No problems.

Yeah, it's very difficult to play. One minute I'm battling a Poochyena and the next thing I know Dialga appears out of nowhere and OHKOs all of my team.

Ahh!! It's too fast. Seriously, in 3rd Gen, it's faster then 4th in just about everything..

I started my ruby all over again in January and i have only now just finished beating the E4.

Well, considering D/P isn't out in Australia yet, no. If fact, it's the other way. I'm playing more knowing it's out in America to prepare myself for Wi-Fi.

I little because i get sick of it not going into the menu when you press x.

16th May 2007, 12:09 PM
Not really, considering that I'm from the UK and I don't have Pearl yet.

I'm in Australia, so no D/P. But I guess I will. I found my old GBA and played Gold again, so I suppose it will be no trouble.

I only do the Pokémon league anymore the last time.

I don't have d/p, so i have no problems

The sprites are soo much better in D/P. I tried playing the other day and just got too frustrated. Well at least D/P is better and improved. I keep pressing the wrong buttons, lol.

No. It will never be difficult. I love those games!

I dunno if it will be that difficult cos the graphics won't change, the biggest prob will be thinking you can tap ur gameboy when batling etc and then realising u can't do that. That sed the jump from gold to G/S/C to R/S was quite big and it was harder to play but only cos it was slower and the box system wasn't as good

One thing I've found difficult to adjust to is that I can run indoors in DP but can't when I go back to 3rd gen games. Plus remembering to open the menu with start when I've become used to the X button.

I think it probably will be for me when I get D/P, but for the moment I don't have to worry because I live in the UK ^_^

23rd May 2007, 3:22 PM
Yes, I'm used to the new graphics so it's a little hard to go back.

23rd May 2007, 3:34 PM
I've onyl seen the new games (live in England, my friend imported it). I don't even have a DS, but when he showed me, i really didn't like the look of the new ones, it just would seem weird to play, so i guess i still like 3rd Gen lol. One hting is though, after playing FR for ages, i found it hard to go back to Emerald, because that now feels strange to play.

No.Though i have no intention in buying D/P.

Wow... you'll be missing out on alot :o anyway I feel the same I think that the grpahics in D/P make the graphics in Fr/LG hard too look at :D
