FireRed reset and new team

My In-game FireRed team. Before I continue, I’l like to mention this: I can’t trade so please don’t suggest movesets that need a Ruby/Sapphire or whatever Pokémon ‘cause I can’t get those or suggest I get six Leftovers.

Standard Venusaur. I’ll be using Clefable as a Special Wall since it doesn’t have any Special weaknesses while Venusaur does. With only Flying as a Physical weakness, I believe it’s much better with a Defence increasing nature.

Even with a Speed boosting nature its speed is crap to say the least and I prefer Flamethrower over Overheat because it doesn’t lower Special Attack and thus can be used more often.

A Special Wall. Heightening its Special Attack and Defence with Calm Mind, attacking with Ice Beam and T-Bold and healing with Softboiled if needed.


I don’t really know what to use as a sixth member. I was thinking about Mewtwo, I don’t mind using Ubers in game, but it needs another Calm Mind which I can’t get. Perhaps an Adamant Nidoking-queen with EQ/Body Slam/Rock Slide/Megahorn-Superpower.

Your team is as good as it gets, but having only one game really limits you severely. Nidoking sounds good.

The others seem fine. Other than two Leftovers in FR/LG, there really is no other good items to use. Also, Lapras is more of a special sweeper than tank.
Like Crudent, I feel Nidoking seems a better option.

Thats fine. Also remember that you may have to change some moves when transferring to Pearl (e.g Shadow Ball is a SAtt, hence useless on Flareon).
