View Full Version : Calm Mind Stress

More of a technical battle question. On serebii.net in the gamemechanics guide I saw a nice list of percentages by a certain number of stat up uses.

my question now is, what if you use Calm Mind twice..

say you've got exactly 100 in your Special Attack/Special Defense

when you use calm mind twice would it then be:

100 x 1,50˛ = 225 ór 100 x (1,50 + 1,50) = 300

While the first one makes more sense since you stat-up once, (x 1,5) and then again (x1,5 thus x1,5˛) the other one could be also plausible since there are alot of other things being REcalculated during battle, which would give us ( CM 2nd time = x 3,0 ).

Thanks in advance :) this has been puzzling me for quite a while..

Im not sure but I think the stat boost are not exponencial.

It rises based on the un-boosted stat. So, If you use calm mind twice your sp def would be 200.

K_Brown is right.

it rises 50% of the original amount each time, so in the example case it goes 100->150->200->250 and so on up to 400.

when decreasing the stat, though, it's different. it goes 100->67->50->40->33->28->25.
