Well I noticed this a long time agon but I'm just saying it now. Have you noticed Ash gets a new pokemon every time on the third part of the grand festival.
Hoenn - Snorunt evolved to Glalie
Kanto - Ash caught Aipom
Sinnoh (guessing) - Staravia evolves to Staraptor.

I think that's a coincidence.

No, why else would they have Ash capture Aipom in "Channeling the Battle Zone" instead of "Slaking Kong"?

Big concidence I notice there

The reason the writers did this was to make sure Ash had a sub-plot while May competed. They had Ash train Snorunt to learn Ice Beam, where it evolved into Glalie in Hoenn and they had Ash repeatedly try to get his hat back from Aipom, finally catching it in Kanto. Plot-devices...simple as that.
Ash may or may not get a new Pokemon in the Sinnoh Grand Festival. It all depends on whether the writers want a sub-plot this time around.

More Likely You Are Too Clever And Think Too Much.

I agree on the subplots. Something for Ash to do as his coordinating girl does her thing.

Yah, when its not Ash in the spotlight, he needs something for us to focus on him with.
17th July 2007, 5:39 PM
hmm Maybe Aipom will Evolve in Ambipom but doubtful who knows really

That's a little wierd.
18th July 2007, 8:02 AM
lol yeah a little odd but what's your point?
18th July 2007, 8:24 AM
I think the same thing will happen. Ash will train one of his Pokemon to learn a new move and / or evolve or catch a new Pokemon.
Oh, and his point is that he's foreshadowing what will happen in D / P.

i heard that ash catches a gibleSpeculation, and what does that have to do at all with the topic.
21st July 2007, 7:19 PM
could be to put a bit of spotlight on Ash and not just those entered in the festival

I think it's a rather clever coincidence. =]
