I assume you're talking about the UK version. I won't watch it. It's gone downhill IMO.

No way has big brother really been on tv for ten years?

God i hate this show, the damn abomination just won't die (why won't you dieeeee?)

Last year was the worst for this unholy crap, we had the regular big brother forced onto our tv screens, followed almost immediately by the goddamn celebrity version being rammed down our throats.

Big brother is the show that started off all this reality tv bollocks, and imo should just be left to die, it's been squeezed of appeal it had, if it had any in the first place, i just wish the tv exec's would just leave this alone.

(Ten years? dear god)

What is the appeal of the show? I've yet to find it.

Thats because there isn't any to find, it's a bunch of morons sitting on a couch watching a bunch of morons sitting on a couch.

^ You don't want to know. Alright, I'll explain for everyone what Big Brother is. Basically it's a house where 10 or so (dunno number) contestants ("housemates") are chucked in together and have to live with each other for a month or so.

I absolutely hate BB (well Aus version anyway).

That house is bogan central.

And it only gets worse after the overhyped twist.

This year, you will not be taking home 100,000... you will be taking home one million dollars! SHOCK!

This year....You can vote to save the housemates! OMG WILL CHANGE THE SHOW!

And this year, aus big brother pulled out the big guns...COREY!! That tard whos famous for that myspace advertised party.

It never went downhill; it dug a hole and stayed there.

Wow..... am I the only person who enjoys this show!?!?! I love this show to death and can't wait for it in July in the U.S.

I'll explain this, since no one can really do that great....
There are 16 or 14 "houseguests" that "move" into one house. Each week they all compete for the title as Head of Household, or HoH. This person gets their own private room, seprate from everyone in the house. They also are safe from being eliminated that week. They also get to choose two people as nominations to be evicted. at the end of each week, all houseguests (excluding the HoH and nominees) vote to evict one person. Whoever has the highest number of votes is out. Thre are also compititions for food, luxuries, etc.

I personally love it. Sorry if my explanation was bad X_X

Oh gawd this shitteh show AGAIN! Taking up good timeslots for goods shows about some lifless losers sitting around in a *shitty house, and the HoH is some sort of crappeh Survivor rip-off with HoH getting "The good stuff" and being "Immune to being evicted out of a shithole".

Lol I love how the reaction for shows like this can vary. BB really kicked off the whole reality tv shebang alon with the Osbournes back in the day. The UK version goes from fun to over-the-top-campy-annoying to plain bilge. But since some racist remarks a few years ago, it's now been relegated here to a digital channel only since Channel 4 wont carry it anymore. Lol.

I've enjoyed some seasons and absolutely hated others, it always depends if there's anyone I can actually stand in the houses, generally there aren't.

The reason other people's explanations weren't 'great' is because there are differences in other countries. In the UK, we have 'housemates', and there's no Head of Household.

Also, I've heard they're bringing back Celebrity Big Brother next year. I thought they'd learnt their lesson after the disaster that was Celebrity Big Brother 2007. At least the abomination that is Hijack is gone.
