It usualy takes me about a day to EV train and get a Pokemon from the level I caught it/hatched it at to Lv100. That's without using Rare Candies or battling the E4.

A MONTH!
wow that's long.

It usually takes me about two days.
To breed, then EV train and level to lv100.
I don't use rare candies and i don't use the E4. I just use the girl with the chansey/ambipom/rapidash and some people in the resort area.
simple.

It took me since february on Sapphire, then migrated to diamond, and trained like mad. I'm still 9 levels under. My blaziken has been on my team for most of the time.

I think it's going to take a month for my blaze kick infernape to reach level 50! Two weeks, two days, for level 100?

A day, half a day... somewhere around that area.

I NEVER leveled a pokemon in my Diamond/Pearl games to 100, just got one from gts, I really don't care cuz when I get my highest poke to 81 I decided to Ev train and learn how to so ya made new pokes and now they are 55~59 and again after hatching and ev training which takes a day or two (depends on the mood) but after fully ev training, I just get the pokemon to 50~55 then go to BT and test it or get in battle anyone in the forum ;] so ya I just got one level 100 only and do lvl 50 battles ;]

Besides the ditto that im using for breeding, it just turned into 100 xD

So far, never. To be honest, I've only raised two pokemon to lvl 100. My brothers Typhlosion in Silver, and my Blaziken in Ruby. I just don't really care about lvling.

24th October 2008, 4:55 AM
I never leveled up a pokemon to lvl 100 xD
I don't play the games too much, around 3~4 times a week for about 3hours.

I'm only starting to make EV train now and when I finish to EV train I'll try to level up them to 100.
The EV train of my Swampert took 2 weeks since I don't have any items/pkrus/experience/money xP

I take about a few days, 2 at the least without using rare candies; and at the most, I think I have some pokes up in my team which have not battled for like months (coz I do not play the game so often anymore). If I am up to it, 2 days is my best.

About 3 days.

10 days for me... 10 levels a day... I can do it with EVs in about 4, but I like to take breaks. :P

I have a LV99 Honchkrow that I haven't bothered to touch (because I want to use those EV-reducing berries to re-EV him, but I'm procrastinating right now, so yeah) and a LV89 Empoleon, so I don't really EV train to LV100...

I usually stop around LV60, and if the Pokemon's lucky, I'll do it to LV70.

no level 100s i own,but a swampert i had reached level 100. it took a a couple weeks and i traded it to my bro. But my blastoise and venasuar are pretty damn close though.

really depends on whether i want to train quickly or not
sometimes i can breed a pkmn for the perfect nature, EV train and train to lv 100 in 2-3 days.
other times i just take it slow and steady as to not make mistakes while EV training

TR_Jessie
24th October 2008, 6:35 PM
I don't normally level them up. I just worry about EV training.

DonDemio
24th October 2008, 9:15 PM
It took me about a month for half of my team, so i guess 2 months then. I think training gives you another purpose to play the game.

How in the world do some of you level a pokemon up to 100 in 1 or 2 days? I takes me a week or two of battling the Elite Four in 4 to get one up to 100. I've beaten the League 141 times to get 7 Pokes up to level 100.

two hours a day are more then enough to get the job fixed at the end of the week.

26th October 2008, 9:02 AM
With Ev training + lv 100 -> about 4-5 days
Without Ev training-> 2-3 days

Ev training takes the longest

And people who train via vs.ing the Elite 4, don't, use the trainers in the Desert area of Battle island, especially Cooltrainer Ariana, who has a Lv 59, Ambipom, chansey and rapidash. With Lucky egg, you get heaps of bonus

Elite 4 takes too much time, i hate th ending dialogues.

Assisted EV Training (where the Poemon just hatched and needs to gain levels to easily beat pokemon needed to EV Train) - 3-30 minutes
EV Training- 1-2 hours, depends on what EVs needed.
Leveling up - 3-6 hours, depends on Pokemon

-TIPS-
1- Get power items from battle tower. This makes EV Training very easy.
2- Get lucky egg. Leveling up is too easy with this.
3- Get amulet coin for lots of money for vitamins to lighten the load of EV Training.
4- Only fight the E4 when you are running low on money. Otherwise, there are trainers in Route 228? (the desert area) and the interior of stark mt.
5- Optional, but with a friend, breed each other's pokemon to train and trade with each other, this speeds training up even more.
6- Train offensive pokemon during the day, as Starly, Staravia, and Pikachu are common at that time.
7- Defensive Pokemon should be trained at night, where Bidoof are common and not a nuisance for once.

-PLACES TO EV TRAIN-
HP - Bidoof, Route 201 (NIGHT).
Attack - Shinx, Route 202. Kricketune, Trophy Garden (NIGHT).
Defense - Geodude, Mt. Coronet Pass, near Oreburgh City.
Special Attack - Gastly/Haunter/Gengar, Eterna Mansion. Roselia, Trophy Garden.
Special Defense - Tentacool, Surf. If someone knows of a better way, please PM me!
Speed - Starly, Route 201 (DAY). Staravia/Pikachu, Trophy Garden (DAY).

Hope this helps!

It's much easier to fish with the Super Rod at Lake Valor. You only get Seaking and Gyarados when you fish there with the Super Rod, and they both give 2 atk EVs each.

When I really stick to it, it'd takes around three to four days. I trade the pokemon to another game, and have it hold Lucky Egg. I found two shiny pokemon by just training my Garchomp alone ^_^

Garchomp took the longest though...

Training my (legit) Darkrai, to lvl 100 right now, but I've been holding of on it for a while.

If I take the time to get good EVs/IVs, it usually takes me about 2-3 days to get a Pokemon from Lv1 to 100. If I didn't care about EVs/IVs, it would take me about a day to level up. But seeing as it rarely happens...

It usually takes me 2 weeks or one month to try to level up 1-5 Pokemon to reach level 100. The average it takes me to level up a Pokemon if the trainer ID is original, (not from trade or migrate) is 3 weeks.

Ahh! I hate leveling up all the way to 100. I haven't done it since I started EV training. But to level up from egg hatched it would take me about 2-3 days. This using the elite 4. But I see now that was not the best idea.

Question: when you guys have a really defensive pokemon with super low atk power or a poke that has a kinda slow, set-up moveset (like exeggutor) what do you do to speed up the training?
EDIT: Sweet, I'll do that. TY Sonic

Sonic Boom

It does take a while for me to lv. up my team to 100, but with the Lucky Egg I stole from a Wild Chansey, it fgot much easier for me. Leveled up a Lv. 1 Trapinch to a Lv. 100 Flygon in 5 days. :) And when using traded Pokemon, 2-3 days.

I would recommend the Female Ace Trainer at the northern part of Route 228: She's got a Lv.54 Chansey when you first battle her, and after you complete the Heatran Event, it levels up to 59. Using the Lucky Egg, I accumulated over 5000 exp. points with my own Pokemon, 7000+ for traded. Combined with her other two Pokemon, Ambipom and Rapidash, you're looking at 10000-15000 Exp. points a battle! She starts out with Ambipom, but she usually switches out with U-Turn, so be wary of that.

Well, I already leveled up a Salamence and a Gardevoir to lv.100

Shepard
10th November 2008, 4:06 PM
honestly it depends on the poke. Offensively trained pokes take a shorter time to level than defensively trained pokes mainly due to their ability to handle themselves in battle earlier, and the fact that they have the evs, nature, and overall power to take on other pokes themselves (you don't need to switch to something else that can do it).

For offensive pokes, yeah probably around 3-4 days (2 if you you just have nothing else to do), and for defensive pokes probably 5-6.

Me and my friends only go up to 75 for our evtrained ones though - helps us turn them out faster. Eventually we'll hit the level 100 mark for all of them (which is about 100 each at this point)

oske
10th November 2008, 4:15 PM
My best was two days, it also depends on the pokay. If you're training a Rattata and Larvitar, its obvious who would get to 100 first.

obviously rattata. Right now I'm training a Mankey.

Well I trained 78 Pokémon to Lv. 100, the one which took me less time was Dusclops last week in Pearl, it took me no more than 2 days, the one which is taking me more time is Cradily in Sapphire, I started training it like 2-3 years ago, but after D/P came out I never finished, doing so may be quite irritating, its only offensive move is Mirror Coat and I have no Lucky Egg in my 3rd gen games.

Depends on the Pokémon. My Ninjask reached level 100 very quickly. Then again... it only needs 600,000 exp. to reach level 100. However, I have trained about five Metagross to level 100, and they level up very slowly, because Metagross need 1,250,000 experience to reach level 100. Your choice of EV-training or not is also a factor; if you decide to EV-train, it will probably take longer to reach level 100 than if you don't.

Well, in D/P, I've only got one, as I just decided to start looking to the competitive battle, so I started off with a Cacnea/Cacturne, and raised it to level 100 fighting that kid with the 3 Gastrodons, in 5 days.
As of yet, I haven't tried to raise any, but I've been breeding like mad, so it'll soon be time to start again.

lol Route 213, the same route that you find the guy that checks your pokemon's footprint, then gives you a ribbon, it's the male tuber right before that Inn where you heal your pokemon.
After a while, he has 3 Gastrodon, each about level 50-53, or something like that. You just have to remember that I spent many, many hours fighting him each day, but it only took about 5 days.

I've only trained one poke to lv 100 which was back when I was new to this game and it took me a day or two, but once I realized wifi auto makes them lv 100 I pretty much didn't bother to raise the rest of my pokemon to lv 100 as well..

Well, since I didn't learn about EV training until recently, I did it the old-fashioned way with the elite four and stuff. I have no idea how long I took, but I would guess around a week? I don't know... I was probably just too lazy...

EV training takes around 2 hours per pokemon, with Pokerus, then it's just a case of Lucky Egg + VS.Seeker + Cool Trainer Ariana for around 12k xp a battle.

Pokes are usually around level 40 after EV training them, then its another few hours to reach 100. Maybe more if the pokemon are walls/defensive as you have to switch out more.

Took me about 8 hours to EV/Level up my Wurmple to 100.
Yes.
A Wurmple.

Otherwise, roughly 5-8 hours per Pokemon, if I raise them alone.

Depends on what Pokemon it is, I guess. My fastest is a day and my slowest is a couple of weeks. If I like the pokemon, he usually gets to 100 faster. I think I have a couple boxes of 100s now. Not all of which are great, but they are at 100.

its takes me about 4 days at max abut usually 3 days. I know its not really needed because of the wifi battle settings&all I do is ev train anyway it just gives me a sense of satisfaction. anyways I currently have 3 1/2 boxes full of lv 100 ev trained pkmn since i restarted my game last july.

usually takes about 5-7 days for me to breed and EV train depending on the poke I'm raising and the move set I want (those hidden powers can get awfully time consuming to win). Have restarted my game so I have no 100s yet. But I have been pretty lucky and have pokerus in my box and a lucky egg in the bag so it might be faster now.

I wonder how people manage to level up a single Pokémon to Lv. 100 in 1 year when I manage to train one to level 100 in the wild. (This means without AR, Rare Candies, VS Seeker, E4, etc.)

I have one Pokemon at lv 100.

My Rayquaza,Moonlight.

Took around 4 months.

I usually trained my Pokemon with it,Moonlight beat the Elite Four and Cynthia multiple times.
It also beat Markus, and the Pokemon at the 'Zones(and trainers around there) a few times.

Amazing,my second closest Pokemon is my starter Empoleon,Lucky.
She's at lv 78(?).
I hardly use her though,so my Linoone,Ziggy, will probably reach lv 100 first. Maybe even my Lopunny,Samson.

But I just got the game about a week ago and I've got a team of lv 50's-60's right now so from start to now I think I'm going pretty fast in training for first play through.

I have only 1 lv 100 Pokemon,My Rayquaza(Moonlight).

It got to that level because of my constant "training"(more like attaching Exp.Share's too Pokemon who need leveling up and letting Moonlight defeat the EF + Cynthia, and Markus).

It took around..6 months,I've only fought the EF around 15 times, and I've forgotten about Markus around 5 times.

Edit:
I'm taking my Empoleon out of the PC more now.

XD I plan to get my Magikarp to level 99...Then evolve it at lv 100.

I like Pokemon (...)
8th January 2009, 12:42 AM
A few hours, really. Just Run around on the bike until the Pokemon reaches a good level (10-20) then start EVing. Then give it Exp. Share and run through the Elite 4 with the other Pokemon a few times to give it enough experience. Then go through it on its own (backups if it dies, though) until I think it has enough experience. Go through Stark mountain/Turnback cave etc. for the high level pokes. Finish it off with some rare-candies (at the end is the best time, imo).

rank up, i'm in hoenn!

I hava a life unlike some of you, and I don't like to mercilessly train my pokemon till its boring, so it would take me maybe a week to catch/buy off GTS/breed, EV train,an level it up, but I only have 2 lvl 100s that I only trained once in a while. The game gets boring to me if you have all the pourful pokes and lvl 100s. but thats just me :)

I trained my team against the Elite Four, depending on the Pokémon I used it leveled up 3 to around 6 times once I beat the Elite Four from first to last battle, every time around 25-30 minutes. So depending on the Pokémon's level it took me some hours but...anyway the question is not accurate so don´t know what to say!?:D

After 400 hours of gameplay, I'm still levelling them up.

*waits for the laughter to die down*

Mind, I've been doing stuff like hatching, breeding for egg moves, chaining, challenging the Battle Tower... but my current team is at lv.97, so I'm almost there~

If I just worked on nothing but levelling, it probably wouldn't take 400 hours ;3

The only Pokemon I've got to Lvl. 100 would be my Gallade, Empoleon, Venasaur, and Metagross.

Empoleon and Venasaur were from eggs, and that took me about 3 days.

The others were caught at their level, Metagross took 1 day and Gallade took 2 days.

No EV training.

Oh, jezz. :l Usually if it's at a somewhat decent level already, say level 30, it should take 4-5 days. If it's from level lower than 30, it takes at least a week. It's rare that it should take over two weeks for a level 100 though.

It usually takes me a about an hour if I caught a Pokémon and level 40 or something but if they're hatched from eggs I EV train them which takes me about an hour then if I can be bothered it'll take me 2 hours to get them to level 100 if I keep battling with them if I can't be bothered it can take me atleast 2 days.

Currently Leveling:
- Newly raised Empoleon lvl. 65
- Flygon lvl. 58
- Salamence lvl. 55
- Traded Gengar lvl. 55
- Skarmory lvl. 68

But I have 12 level 100s ATM.
Torterra, Lucario, Metagross, Nidoking x2, Tyranitar, Azelf, Mesprit, Staraptor, Pikachu, Magmar, and Dragonite. A little OD considering I havent done any WiFi battles yet, and Im still planning to do a whole lot more...

I dont play any other video games, so it kinda makes sense...

I just think its fun to have level 100 Pokemon...
