Most of us PBR players have seen the Joke/Underdog team thread, but does anyone have any ideas for one? Have you ever used one?

Discuss.

Epick win.

Cool battle, good quality too. =D

Not me, of course. Overhazard is epic.

I also recall seeing someone with a Goldeen and Cranidos in their team.. *shrug* Can't remember exactly.

I see.

Thoughts are already buzzing into my head. >:D

Well, anyway. Baton Pass teams are really good to get somebody messed up. Lairon, Vigoroth, Porygon 2, and Scyther are some good NFEs.

Share those buzzing thoughts!

Well, after looking at the special moves in the game mechanics, Natural Gift intrigued me, but a team based around that seems destined to fail. =/

.... Heehee.

Imagine a Kadabra using an ice type Natural Gift and killing a Garchomp. Pure pownage.

*Smile forms on lips.*

You are getting me motivated.

But it really is only hidden power, but one use.

Recycle could help though.

I am tempted to find a random Pokemon generator, the first NFE that comes up I'll check it's moves and make a gimmicky team.

Edit: Let's check out Tailow then. 0_o

Taillow is actually really good. It's fast, and a Facade with Guts and a Toxic/Burn Orb can be devistating. Protect/Facade/Brave Bird/Steel Wing?

I know Tailow is good, but Tailow + Endeavor isn't gimmicky enough. xD

I did the generator again, and I got Spinarak.

I was thinking lead:

Spinarak @ Focus Sash
Jolly Nature
Insomnia
4 HP / 252 ATK / 252 SPE
Agility
Baton Pass
Spider Web
Poison Jab

If you predict that the opposing Pokemon will set up, you use Spider Web. Then use Agility, and if the opponent attacks, Focus Sash will protect you, and you can BP too a counter. If it doesn't attack, feel free to use Agility again, until he attacks. Poison Jab, with Swarm at one HP, is at 120 Base Power, and gets increased by a further 1.5.

This team will be lolzy.

Where's Toxic Spikes? And Swarm doesn't increase Poison Jab's power.

*Face Palm*

I'll change his ability to Insomnia then.

Also, I doubt that Spinarak would have time to set up Toxic Spikes after Agility. It is a Passer set, not a Set-Up set.

Okay. Well, it looks pretty cool. However, shouldn't we be trying Pokemon that have some sort of difference from their evolved form, besides lower stats and movepool? Like Charmeleon, for example, or even Pineco.

The only difference I saw there was typing. =/

What differences are you specifying?

Also, I have finished building my Underdog/NFE team.

Well, Nincada has a different ability and typing, and has better defense than both it's evolutions. Charmeleon isn't totally screwed by Stealth Rock, and fares better against Electric, Ice, and Rock moves.

In-Game team or on Shoddybattle?

I actually have an NFE team. I only use NFEs which have an advantage over their evolved forms.
Swinub (lower defenses, so has a higher chance of triggering Focus Sash for Endeavor)
Pikachu (Light Ball makes it far more powerful than Raichu)
Riolu (lower defenses again, for Reversal and Counter)
Eevee (Adaptability + STAB on Flail)
Ralts (slow, with low defenses; makes use of the Trick Room + Destiny Bond combo)
Clamperl (slow in Trick Room; DeepSeaTooth makes it one of the most powerful special attackers in the game)

It's gonna be a Wifi team. It's finished now, I am gonna find someone to test it against.

My team is an NFE team too, hoping to compete in OU :x

I like that Spinarak actually, but it can't really even reach enough speed to outrun some pokemon after an Agility. You'd have to use Ariados to most use Agility, as Spinarak could only pass a trapped opponent really. Still, there's an idea. Clamperl's good too.

Well, with max speed, Spinarak reaches 347 after an agility. Hopefully, knowing Azelf, the only real fast lead, it will set up Stealth Rocks, but if it doesn't I have a problem.

Also, I could evolve some Pokemon to make a main team. Hmm, interesting.

EDIT:

Well, let's see the advantages of my team:

Spinarak ----> Ariados:

HP: Increases
ATK: Increases
DEF: Increases
SPATK: Increases
SPDEF: Increases
SPEED: Increases

Slowpoke ----> Slowbro / Slowking

HP: Increases / Increases
ATK: Increases / Increases
DEF: Increases / Increases
SPATK: Increases / Increases
SPDEF: Increases / Increases
SPEED: Increases / Increases

Magnemite ----> Magnezone

HP: Increases
ATK: Increases
DEF: Increases
SPATK: Increases
SPDEF: Increases
SPEED: Increases

Golbat ----> Crobat

HP: Increases
ATK: Increases
DEF: Increases
SPATK: Increases
SPDEF: Increases
SPEED: Increases

Croconaw ----> Feraligatr

HP: Increases
ATK: Increases
DEF: Increases
SPATK: Increases
SPDEF: Increases
SPEED: Increases

Sneasel ----> Weavile

HP: Increases
ATK: Increases
DEF: Increases
SPATK: Increases
SPDEF: Increases
SPEED: Increases

I don't think any of them have any Ability changes.

I'll look into it.

*Prays Ariados has Taunt*

EDIT2: He doesn't. <.<

If you know any Pokemon with all these attacks on a legal moveset, tell me pl0x:

Agility
Baton Pass
Spider Web / Mean Look
Taunt

I would be extreeemly grateful.

Smeargle, Spinarak, and Ariados are the only ones, Freddo.
