If it mentions Europe...does that mean they'll be updating about Europe news, too?

Geographically yes, but for Nintendo, Australia's release dates are usually the same as Europe's since europe is part of the PAL region, which, surprise surprise austrlia is as well :O So therefore, if nintendo mentions europe, it could mean the whole PAL region as well.

So next time you try to be a smart arse, look up your facts first please.

I was just asking if any knew if the mention of the european release would also include the rest of the PAL region.

BTW http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAL_region I suggest you read that.

And on the subject of looking up facts before you speak, you may wish to do the same. Handheld gaming hardware does not adhere to the international NTSC/PAL display standards; those are relevant topics only when discussing console hardware, i.e hardware that outputs to a television or monitor and as such, the fact that all of Europe and Australia are PAL territories is completely meaningless here.

Dating back to the international release of Ruby and Sapphire, Australia's release has preceded Europe's for every core title, even if only by a few weeks in most cases. Emerald was the only exception, in which the gap was nearly four months. Ergo, there's no reason to assume things will be any different for HG/SS. In all likelihood, North America will get it in late March or early April, Australia 6-7 weeks after that and the entirety of Europe another week or so after that.

There you go, kids. No need to fight over what you could have figured out on your own with a few minutes of looking up release dates.
