View Full Version : The Training Mazes: Do you go there?

In all the PMD games ever released, training mazes have been there to, well, aid with your training. But with only three floors (or maybe more I'm not sure. Whatever the number it ain't big) and a small team of the maze's respective type, does it really help you train? Do you go there? And yes, I'm excluding the Final Maze. If the Final Maze can be considered a training maze, then I go to the Marowak Dojo often (in hopes of recruiting Jirachi :p).

Yesh, I go there often. Well, not THAT often, but occasionally. It does help when you're not up to the correct level and you need items for swappin' in Sky.

Not really, unless I need to recruit some pokemon from there I really don't. I should, but don't.

I go there really often in the early chapters, as pokemon in 3F and above give 300+ Exp, which is really a lot in the early stages of the game. Oh, and you can also stock up on Escape Orbs to swap for Reviver seeds later in the game. MUCH more cheaper than buying them for 800P. Which is the best thing about the Recycle shop.

I almost NEVER go to the training maze,it doesn't help!
The Pokemon are hard to beat and they give so little exp. . ( before ending the game )

Though the Pokemon there suck, yet I go in order to complete each and every maze.

In most of them the puzzles were too hard. It said"Something's stirring in some of them so Ihurry to the stairs.

It says Somethings stirring a lot in those. Why? I don't think I take many steps.

I have only been in each dungeon once. I recruited suicune and moltres on my first try in the final maze but i haven't recruited jirachi yet.

I go there occasionally, if there are no interesting missions...

If you don't go there, think about this scenario:
You've been KOed and lost all your Reviver Seeds, Oran Berrys, and those other essintials. Well, in there, you can get a little money, Oran Berrys, and Escape Orbs, which can get you Reviver Seeds in Sky.
That place has helped me out many times. I go there anytime I need more of those essintial items.
Plus, if ya finish all the mazes, you get a Joy Seed ;)

Hmm... in Sky, I've never used the Marowak Dojo's mazes.
However, I do think that in Darkness, I would occasionally go in just for the sake of completing them, or to earn a few EXP points for my team.
But as many people here have said, I think that using the mazes in order to get good items to trade at Wynatt's recycle stand (especially early on in the game) is a very good idea.

I actually just started doing the mazes and they are incredibly boring, but I just want to beat them all just for the sake of it.

I don't lately, but I think they are excellent for training, recruiting legendaries and strong pokemon, and items. the only drawback is that you may faint because you hardly find an apple...

Not really, but I usually enjoy finishing the mazes, then I never go back. :P The pokemon are weak there.....I don't think I've ever leveled up in a maze. Even when I train my LV20's, I bring them to the dungeons with either me or my partner to protect them. I don't need more items (I've reached max storage!!!!) nor more money. (I'm practically a millionare...) I don't need leveling either, cuz Splashes and I are LV 100 now. (Wheee!)

Just complete them to complete them. Dont get much from them tough. And in PMD1 you get Ginsengs. I dont know if you get them in Darkness,Time and Sky

I'd go there just to complete all of them. It is kidn of fun and decent for training. In Sky, you can get a lot of Esacpe Orbs and 2 Escape Orbs=1 Reviver Seed.

Before yes. After the main storyline no. I just finished it all to get the adventure log entry.

I finish em to finish em, and be done with em.

With Sky, I've already got 25+ Reviver Seeds, so I don't really need to do it.

I did them, just to have something to do in the original PMD games.

I didn't find them very helpful though :p

I just cleared em all on Sky using advice for Reviver Seeds (I realized that it's impossible to have too many), and I think I ended up with approximately one for each Maze.

Oh, and you get a Joy Seed for your efforts.

In Red, yes, because I just wanted to train

In Time, yes, but after the storyline. Basically, the place where I struggled is when I'm defeating Dusknoir and Dialga, just because I only have 1 Reviver Seed left. Just went there for recruiting Jirachi, Moltres and Suicune though. :p

In Sky, no, I only struggled when I was graduating from the Guild (iirc, at Time I didn't). Got myself a Blizzard TM from Time and they're finished. Might go there sometime soon... I rarely use up my Reviver Seeds. Just bring 3 every time I went into dungeons (even escorts) and they're always enough :p

EDIT: A little more for Sky

So there is no one to recruit in the final maze, or did they change them?

So there is no one to recruit in the final maze, or did they change them?

they moved suicune and jirachi to their challenge request dungeons and moltres to giant volcano (10F?), and the only other moved legendaries were mewtwo, raikou, and entei for their challenge requests, so the only recruitable pokemon in the final maze are the ones that are normally there

I used to go there if I was underleveled and lacking reviver seeds, but I'm too high-leveled for them to be useful.

i did them often in the first md but in md2 i only did final maze.

I use them to help train some of the weaker pokemon (Like the Level 1 pokemon from eggs or from pokemon joining us as a reward), but for normal training, i use the normal missions.

I completed them in every mystery dungeon game I ever had. I go there as soon as the dojos open and train there as much as I can. Once the exploration starts I'm always about level 24 because of that. And yeah, I never have enough reviver seeds, so in sky, I do them quite often.
