Depends on who I am leveling, but Iron Island works well, and Stark Mountain

The two ace trainers left of Veilstone city, great levels and right next to a town to heal.

Best experience overall imo, while others are usually just one trainer or several but far apart.

I used to use that Acetrainer in Route 227 (with the sandstorm) in diamond, then she got taken off in Platinum, so i either used to use the Acetrainers by Veilstone city (like the above post says) or Battleground

(used to- because i started again in my Platinum

Guy with Salamence and Altaria near Resort Area(not sure whether Altaria or Garchomp). He gives massive amount of exp(I think some 8000/battle).

Battleground or the "Top Trainer Cafe" as I like to call it.

I seriously only battle there now.

This place. I don't remember the name of the route, but this is where I usually train. I fight the rich boy there too, for some quick cash.

Depends on what I'm ev training, if I'm doing attack then the gyarados guy, other than that the only training I do is ev training

30th November 2009, 5:58 PM
My favourite place to train is at the Battleground, because you can battle again with Gym leaders and people like Buck, Riley and Cherryl.

Before the Elite 4 it was in Victory Road, but after it's probably Stark Mountain.

Uuuuhm... nobody uses the E4 at all? I can't cause my levels are to low but I used it a lot in diamond.

The stronger Elite Four and the Battleground.

the best attack ev training spot is celestic town in that pond near the pokemon center. with a super rod you get only corphish, crawdaunt, gyarados, and occasionally seaking.

Route 221 I think it's called.

nikster65
1st December 2009, 1:03 AM
I think that the best training place in pokemon Platinum has to be in stark mountain cos you run into a pokemon almost every 2 steps and most of all of them boost your defense EVs

swampertlover5712
1st December 2009, 1:10 AM
also, stark mountain has strong trainers.
like the dragon tamer with the level 60 dragonite, i like to battle him. :)

Master Leo

The route right next the battle area.

swampertlover5712

After the E4 - Battleground

Wait, are we talking about EV training, or just level grinding? Ill just give both.

EV training: I have lots, but the haunted mansion is my favorite because theres always ghastly, meaning easy Sp Attk training.

Grinding: E4 and the Survivor Area. Pretty slef explanitory.

A7X_Slayer
1st December 2009, 3:54 AM
I agree with _Skippy_ that Leveling up at the E4 is good because you gain good Exp. and cash.

zenzai
1st December 2009, 3:55 AM
I tend to use the E4 and Battleground, as well. With Lucky Eggs.
(for EV training, I tend to chain low-level pokes, then switch to grinding the above.)

elite four method get 1 level 100 and get a weaker pokemon give it exp. share and battle!

Joki
1st December 2009, 11:55 AM
For training, I like to battle the fisherman with the two Gyarados and the rich boy west of Sunyshore City, like previous posters already mentioned.

Torpoleon
5th December 2009, 1:21 PM
I usually train at the Battle Ground and with the Elite 4 in the aftergame. I can get a good chunk of EXP like that.

AbsolKnight66
5th December 2009, 1:29 PM
I like the Battleground. You can get a TON of experience by fighting the Gym Leaders.

5th December 2009, 5:33 PM
Battleground. There is no contest. But if I'm after money, then the Socialite and Gentleman south of Hearthome City net me huge sums.

Dante Falls
5th December 2009, 5:41 PM
Battleground (and the rival) & E4.

For EV training

HP- Valley Windworks (Shellos & Bidoof)
Atk- Lakes (Bibarel)
Def- Iron Island (Onix)
Sp. Atk- Old Chateua (Ghastly)
Sp. Def- Route 220- (Tenties)
Speed- Route 201 (Starly)

swampertlover5712

iron island is another one of mine because i raise many water types and it comes in handy.

Giratina93
10th December 2009, 3:46 PM
I always train on Route 224. VERY strong trainers there, lots of powerful Pokemon there, and it's not too difficult to get to...

Aside from EV training, I usually train around the Stark Mountain/Battle Island area or Route 224. Or the E4.

10th December 2009, 9:52 PM
My favorite training spots would be Battleground (great exp and you get to re-battle gym leaders), the ace trainers north of the resort area, and the fisherman west of sunnyshore city.

HalcyonJon
11th December 2009, 2:33 AM
They ditched her in Platinum, but back in Diamond Ace Trainer Ariana on Route 228 (the sandy one just above the Resort Area) is AWESOME! You can beat her level 59 Chansey with, like, a level 30 pokemon if it's physically oriented. She's also right next to a dude with some decently high-level fighting types.
As for EV training, it's hard to beat Super Rodin' the pool in Twinleaf for Attack and Surfin' at the end of Victory Road for Speed (all you fight is Golbats!).

Victreebong
11th December 2009, 2:52 AM
Right below Solaceon Town is one of the best spots because you can EV train there quite effectively: +2 Attack, +2 HP, 2 Pokemon provide +2 Sp. Attack, +2 Speed. South and West of Veilstone are also good for +2 Defense and +2 HP, respectively. Sp. Def has no good spots, period. You either have to use PokeRadar for Baltoy, or endure the pestilence that is wild Tentacruel/Tentacool.

For just training, anywhere that has level 40+ Pokemon is adequate.

wayne kers
11th December 2009, 10:13 AM
i would train at the pokemon league. often with a pokemon holding the amulet coin so i never run out of money (usually)

when i dont want to got through the league i go to the battle area and face the gym leaders.

aquaarmor23
12th December 2009, 3:24 PM
The battleground.
Unless i`m Ev training. Then it depends.

Clubfoot
12th December 2009, 8:01 PM

12th December 2009, 8:15 PM
I always train on Route 224. VERY strong trainers there, lots of powerful Pokemon there, and it's not too difficult to get to...

whaddaya mean it's not to hard to get to?
it's very difficult. you've gotta navigate through that one room and that's kinda hard...

Sapphire Phoenix
12th December 2009, 9:20 PM
Stark Mountain, and the routes around it. I also use the battleground when I need money.

For level grinding, I abuse the Fisherman with the two Gyrados west of Sunyshore. Alec, how do you not remember my name by now? XD

For EVs...
HP: Route 201 (Bidoof)
Atk: Fisherman Alec, again.
Def: Iron Island (Graveller)
Sp. Atk.: Haunted Mansion in Eterna Forest (Gastly)
Sp. Def.: Route 223 (Tentacruel)
Speed: The Fisherman with 6 Magikarp west of Eterna and Route 201 (Starly)

It usually depends on who I'm training, but for the most part I stick to the trainers between Veilstone City and Sunyshore. There's a lot of different types of Pokemon and they're pretty high levels.
