Hi. rating this team because of its title

First off, Dig is an alright move I suppose, but the fact that it works over two turns makes it rather inefficient. Assuming that it is for an answer to Electric types, you can just stick Earthquake on Ononokusu. Iirc none of this generation's Electric types except for Zekrom, Zeburaika and Maggyo are weak to Ground anyway, and Maggyo can be taken care of with your Water moves regardless. I'd replace Dig with Return, which actually gets great neutral coverage alongside Waterfall.

I'd just completely re-do that Archeos tbh.

• Archeos @ Nothing
• Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Acrobat
- Claw Sharpen / Fly

Fly is only if you really need a Fly slave, and it goes over Claw Sharpen rather than Acrobat because Archeos is too frail to spend that much time setting up anyway. Rock Slide > Stone Edge for Accuracy and PP reasons.

I'd run Earthquake > Brick Break and Rock Slide > Shadow Claw on Ononokusu to provide you with QuakeEdge coverage. This, along with Dragon Claw's outstanding neutral coverage and the fact that Ononokusu can set up to use its wide coverage properly makes it much more dangerous.

I'll do the rest later. Please update the OP with your changes. Hope it helps.

I understand your criticism, but I like to maximize the chance that one pokemon can take care of many things, rather than switching to another pokemon. So that's why I like Daikenki with dig, rather than having to switch to Ononokusu everytime an ELC is sent out.

Archeos is still a work in progress, again, I posted my current team, and I like that he has fly as of right now. I don't know why you recommended claw sharpen, because you said he was frail anyways... so would you have fly and acrobat? I don't like having two of the same type of move, and I don't know why you'd choose acrobat over fly, maybe you can clear me on that. As for the other moves... I like stone edge over rock slide, idk why, but the first seems better than the latter to me. But I will consider Earthquake instead of Crunch or Dragon Claw...

As for Ononokusu... Brick Break has served well so many times, especially when I'm on a dragon dancing role and I happen to run into an ice type. And shadow claw, is really a good way to counter any ghost/psychic types... I stuck it on there when I was going through the elite four. What would be better instead of that?

I look forward to hearing more from you. Thanks.

You make sense, but consider this. The Electrics in this generation are, in their fully evolved forms, Zeburaika, Emonga, Denchura, Shibirudon, Maggyo, Voltolos and Zekrom.

Out of those, you are only hitting Zeburaika, Maggyo and Zekrom for Super Effective damage with a Ground type move. Emonga and Voltolos are both part-Flying, Denchura's Bug typing resists Ground and Shibirudon has Levitate. You only fight Zekrom once, and Maggyo it hit harder with Waterfall as it is part Ground type.

So, narrowing it down, all that is left for you to deal with is Zeburaika. In essence, you are spending an entire moveslot on Dig so that you can hit only one Pokémon for more damage. This, to me anyway, is extremely inefficient.

Filler really. If you don't want to set up then Dragon Claw can work, I guess.

so would you have fly and acrobat? I don't like having two of the same type of move, and I don't know why you'd choose acrobat over fly, maybe you can clear me on that.
Acrobat is a great move tbh. With its effect in play, it has 165 Base Power after factoring in STAB and 100 Accuracy. An attack this powerful open for instant use on a glass cannon like Archeos is, imo, too good to pass up on unless you're running an extremely specialised set. Fly, on the other hand, had imperfect accuracy, lower Base Power, and takes two turns to use, making it inefficient and predictable. Since all Archeos really needs is Earthquake, Rock Slide and Acrobat, the 4th slot is mainly filler so Fly can go in there if you have no HM Slave.

As for the other moves... I like stone edge over rock slide, idk why, but the first seems better than the latter to me. But I will consider Earthquake instead of Crunch or Dragon Claw...
If you use Stone Edge then I recommend Claw Sharpen > Fly to at least resolve the Accuracy problem. Like you said, it's good to be able to cover a lot with one Pokémon, and Earthquake handles Steel, Rock and Electric, all of which Archeos is weak to so it's a great choice in this case imo.

As for Ononokusu... Brick Break has served well so many times, especially when I'm on a dragon dancing role and I happen to run into an ice type. And shadow claw, is really a good way to counter any ghost/psychic types... I stuck it on there when I was going through the elite four. What would be better instead of that?
Well Rock Slide will kill Ice just as well as Brick Break. The real problem with using Brick Break is its redundancy alongside Earthquake, should you use it; they both hit Rock and Steel hard, so you only really need one of them and Rock Slide gives some nice coverage alongside Earthquake which can hit absolutely everything in the game except for Breloom, Claydol and Levitate Bronzong (iirc) for at least Neutral damage. I don't see why you need Shadow Claw so much when neither Ghost nor Psychic is a massive threat to Ononokusu and Sazandora can counter both of these types perfectly, being immune to one and resisting the other.

Which, incidentally, is why you should run Dark Pulse > the horribly unreliable Focus Blast on Sazandora. Nice coverage, a second STAB, and perfect accuracy. Sazandora would only really use Focus Blast mainly for Steel and Ice anyway, both of which are taken down by Flamethrower.

So I changed most of the stuff you recommended, but how does acrobat have a higher base power than fly? Acrobat=55, Fly=95

^ Acrobat's effect is that its Base Power will double if you aren't holding an item, which I made a point of when suggesting the moveset. Acrobat = 55 * 2 = 110, Fly = 95.

Gotcha....

On top of that, Acrobat still does more even when Archeos is holding an item.

Acrobat over two turns : 55 + 55 = 110
Fly over two turns : 0 + 95 = 95

when Archeos is not holding any item, the difference becomes HUGE

Acrobat over two turns : 110 + 110 = 220
Fly over two turns : 0 + 95 = 95

Gigigear
-Thunder Wave
-Thunderbolt
-Flash Cannon
-Metal Sound

See below on why Hyper Beam is an undesirable move. Thunder Wave spreads some status.

Babainaira
-Ice Beam
-Flash Cannon
-Water Pulse/Light Screen
-Toxic

Hail only hurts the rest of your team, Babainira isn't very bulky and has several weaknesses. He doesn't tend to last long. Water Pulse hits steels for at least neutral damage but it's weak. Light Screen could support other team members if you don't want to breed. Toxic is another support move, Babairnira doesn't have many attacks it can use.
And no Hyper Beam. You can exert more damage in the two turns Hyper Beam takes up with Flash Cannon on both pokemon. of course not counting weaknesses and resistances.
Timid on Sazandora, it's an attacking pokemon after all so the speed boost means you can get your attacks of quicker.
Adamant on Archeos. You can never have too much power. And his defenses suck, play to a pkemons strengths.

You could also have Archeos hold the Sky Jewel (or whatever it's called). It's the one-use item that's used when you use an attack of a certain type. It's been proven that the (Flying) Jewel, when attached to an Acrobat user will be used, and still get the double power as if no item was attached.

Oh, and another suggestion is UTurn for an attack.

I am aware of how the Sky Jewel works, but the issue is that it's a one-use item (iirc), so it becomes really hard to keep up using it in-game unless you're in the Tower. That's the reason you don't see items like Focus Sash, for example, around very much.

LOL...I wasn't doubting you. I wasn't sure if the OP knew.
