..that this IS an ingame team. (for the record, I do use competitive teams offline lol).


Anyway, since I've seen multiple competitive teams around, and the rules here don't ban it (first rule even mentions competitive teams). Plus the lack of a competitive section (why? Pokemon-online has battle simulators all up and running). I will post it here.

So, a little info on this, I play Dream World tier (so you can play with dream world pokemon even when they are not yet released). This team is build around (Perversity) Jarooda http://veekun.com/dex/media/icons/497.png. My team is doing decent against most opponents. Despite the only physical move being psycho shock on my team I still can handle blissey/chansey I do ask for your input on it, I lack physical attackers and I need someone elses creativity to make this team work as I cannot decide what to chose. Some are here to stay, Jarooda (duh), Zoroark, Espeon and Golbat. So unless you come with arguments that blow me and my mothers mind, they will stay on this team.

Espeon (M) @ Leftovers

- Hidden Power [Ice]

I always liked Espeon, especially since Coloseum. It got a nice boost this generation and it is really helpfull for my team. Leftovers are for survivability. Magic Mirror is self explanatory as a lead (although I often switch espeon to the back of my team and let Zoroark get some early game action). The defensive nature and investments provide Espeon for some physical bulk (without calm mind, its Def is higher than SDef). Psycho Shock for STAB, other moves are for coverage.

Zoroark (M) @ Focus Sash

EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd

Zoroark is one of my key-players in this team. It has a lot of synenergy with the rest of the team and causes the opponent to have mindgames with himself (or herself). I did not like Zoroark at start, but Illusion is really cool, especially with the new system that shows teams before battle makes it really fun to use. Focus sash is for survivability and certainty for set up, it helped me numerous times to force a switch (because of illusion) and then set-up, that led to another switch or an attack giving me a lot of time to set up and attack. Focus Blast is for the occasional heatran and other dark-types. Dark pulse over Night burst because I like the flinching and Night burst means that even a dumb opponent will know im running Zoroark at the time, while some can´t notice because they mix it up with Golbat (because Golbat is scarce, some of them don´t know what I´m running). It´s main purpose though, was luring out those bug/steels (and Nattorei) when im disguised as Jarooda. Making it safer for Jarooda to come in when Zoroark is gone.

Burungeru (M) @ Leftovers

Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Confuse Ray

I do not really like this pringles guy but I need a ghost type for those fake out, mach punch users that Zoroark attracts. Confuse ray works like a charm. Other than its typing I really (and I mean really) don´t mind if you give me an other pokemon as replacement. Preferably a ghost.

Rotom-H @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 108 HP / 128 Def / 144 SAtk / 128 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Overheat
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt

The second one who is needed but not that usefull for this team. I like rotom but it has not done any impressive things compared to the other 4 team mates (same story like Pringles guy). I would rather run a physical sweeper.

Jarooda (M) @ Choice Scarf

Jarooda is the main event of my show. Overall seen, Jarooda´s special movepool is shallow. I ran a choice specs one but it did not make the cut. I read about a scarfed one, tryed it out and fell in love with it. Its HP is for some bulk, Special attack is for giving that 75 base statt some extra power. The nature and speed EV´s (and therefore the hp EV´s) are because of Shandera. Who has Shadow Tag as an ability in Dream World. Therefor it outspeeds it (most of the shandera´s are scarfed) by some points and well it varies to the situation how I use it. +4 Leaf storm ko´s some shandera´s and HP dark ko´s a damaged one as well. Shandera is a real force in dream world and my jarooda can use it to set up its first leaf storm when it is heavily damaged. Giga Drain is because of some water types late game and my jarooda can heal when it has been damaged/Jarooda its movepool is really shallow. Glare is for lulz, it was this or twister, and well choice scarf twister aint going to do anything at all.

Golbat (M) @ Evolution Stone
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 204 HP / 136 Def / 168 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Toxic
- Super Fang
- Haze
- Roost

The most underrated Evo stone user of them all. It has nice synenergy with the rest of my team. Toxic is for serious stalling business. Super fang is also cool to use, especially when my opponent switches a lot so it makes their pokemon a lot less usefull. Haze is because my team is really weak to set up pokemons and inconsistent (that imo should be banned). Roost is a valuable asset to the company, and also gets rid of its electric and ice weakness (while gaining a ground weakness).


So that was my team, I have my own thoughts on who are going to be my replacements, but I will not post it here yet because I want to see input of other people. Its the only real reason to post a team here right?

Perhaps you could swap Rotom H for that candle guy?
As for the pringles guy, you could use a Goluug(ground/ghost)? He's physical and his DW ability is No Guard, which means he can use 100% accurate dynamicpunch and has access to equake and stone edge.

I will have 2 ghosts if i implement those. However goluug is a great idea! Although I will have another ice weakness. Dynamic punch on the other side is fantastic and a better confuse ray. So i will put that pokemon with my other options. Thanks! So now I need to wait for more replies and ideas.

Hidden Power(Rock) hndles all of Jaroda's weaknesses except Poison and still hits Shanderra.

Eccentric transforms as soon as he enters battle so EVs, moves and the nature become instantly redundant. If your main sweepers/Golbat is down you can pull out ditto, steal some stat boosts and sweep like a champion troll.
