New Plans for Black Team

I've been rethinking my Black team a lot and I think I've decided to change my original Pokemon plans a bit. My initial plans included me trading Tepig and Snivy over and using Enbuoh and Jalorda on my team, but I think I want to go with Hahakomori and Darmanitan/Shandera instead. Also, I'm still considering whether I like Ononokus or Zoroark better, so I may just rotate them out regularly. Anyway, here are my plans. However, I won't be breeding for egg moves or Dream World moves or abilities, so please don't suggest them:

is what I would use. Flare Blitz/Fire Punch is powerful STAB, RS + EQ for coverage.
Brick Break breaks those walls that reduce damage, Return is a general strong physical attack, U-Turn gives you a quick escape.






also, in 5th Gen TMs are reusable just like HMs. You get one, but you can use it on every single Pokemon in your game that can learn it.

This also means you can choose Flamethrower for Shibirudon.

For Hahakomori, use Return as an option over Poison Jab as Poison Jab can only sometimes inflict poison and hit grass types weaker than X-scissor.

The rest is fine/handled by Shine.

EDIT: That Zoroark wants Nasty Plot for faster setup and the fact it has zero bulk to get benefit from Calm Mind.

Well, I think I've gotten the main portion of my team figured out. Now all that's left is to decide which I want as my main Fire type: Darmanitan or Shandera. I'll probably use both, with one on my main team and one as my reserve. I'm leaning towards Darmanitan, since my team could use Brick Break over Shadow Ball in most situations.

In B/W, Darmanitan is a tad better because of all the dark types around thanks to team plasma, but it really is your choice, Shandera is a great Pokemon to use.

I did decide to use Darmanitan over Shandera for the main portion of the game, though I may swap it out for Shandera to fight the Elite 4, since it'll have an advantage against three of the four Elite 4 members.

Shandera is only good against two elite four members, the Psychic and Ghost. Lots of the Fighting types have rock or dark moves, and Dark you are obviously bad against. Just saying.

Okay, I'm quite ashamed to admit this...but I had no idea that Ghost wasn't super-effective against Fighting. All these years of chewing out my friends about Grass not being super-effective against Electric and Poison not being super-effective against Flying, and yet I was wrong about something as simple as this. Yay for me. And yes, since Renbu's Pokemon all know either Stone Edge or Rock Slide, it would probably be best if I didn't pull Shandera against him. Oh well, it's still a better choice than Darmanitan for that battle, considering that Darmanitan would have just as many weaknesses.
