Wow the big pecks are amazing :p
The burmy line looks clean but with the grass line, it bothers me there is only one white flower. It just sticks out soo much that it completely turns your attention to only the left side of the sprite.
I love the retypes. The onyl thing that bothers me is the tail; it looks a bit too spiky :p

I like the Big Pecks, but they disturb me a bit. everything else seems fine to me.

a pitch idea for a game, Gumbo, his pal Gumby (the wad of gum), a Checkpoint, a needle (acts like a bullet Bill), and a Balloon (used for certain things, like filling Gumby up with air to float about!).

IMO, number two looks better. Both require a more animate character, but the animation is well done.

yeah, the charecter is just there for showing the punch, the actual 'gum' of the punch is what I was concerned about, the charecter will be a bouncy idle person.

In addition, with the actual puncher being gum, the rubber-like snapback on #2's fist really suits the idea.

Your animations are hillarious, but they don't compare to the simplistic brilliance of your thread title.

Gumbo's animation is great. The only beef I have with it, is within the last sequence, the head makes a jagged, non-rubber like movement.

They should've used Pidgeot's HGSS sprites for BW, this is how it would look (minus the fact I forgot to color Wargle's wing tips yellow)

Braviary is a nice example of a bird animation, since it kinda free-falls as it flaps, then flies back up. Pidgeot's talons also seem like inanimate objects hanging off the bottom of Pidgeot - maybe have them clench during the flapping spasm?

You have to remember though, the BW animations, however unique they may be, aren't very special. It usually is a Pokemon throwing a spasm after moving a part of it's body. It is a very great animation, and I am in agreeance with most of the HG/SS sprites should have being used in place of what they are using now.

These sprites are good. The grass re-types were done well, and the big pecks are just hilarious. BTW, how did you get the white outline around Pidove's arm?

It's called a glow. To do one, you must change your background colour to something not used, like lime-green or pink, and trace a white line around the outline. then,once you transparantize it on Iaza, the colour disapears, and you're left with an invisible glow. Once posted, the glow will show.

Yup, I use that milky dark blue as my paint backdrop, it's easy on the eyes, the spasm, wasn't actually supposed to be there, it's leftover from deleting my 'Rare' animation.

goes Water, then Water/Fighting.

the W/F is due to it always getting caught in fishing nets, and it becomes quite enraged easily, mercilessly beating up everything around.

I just sprited the idea for the community project, though technically it's half-my idea since I went off a vuage description of what could work.

a hint, it's a japanese pot that deals with octopi, now only 5 cookies available.

I really like the octopusfamily. I actually prefer the fisrt color scheme (and I owuld make the second one the color scheme the shinyform).

The ostrige body looks good, a bit to similar with raikous (the patterns af course :p). The head actually looks a bit weard. Just unpokemonish...

The eye's supposed to be based on Ostriges being scared, and thus sticking their heads in the ground. I was thinking Ground/Electric, So the typings are Electric due to it running insanely fast to escape predators, and ground due to it's year's of no flight.

The head's supposed to be tilted away from us a little becuase it's always on guard.

Looks good. So were the cookies. Is the neck supposed to get thinner near the middle though? I noticed that, but wasn't sure if it was part of the design.

I'm going to pick for the brain. I've seen a few dalmation designs, but they never work out that well. Aardvarks seems strange. And I like the idea of a Brain-Pokemon.

^ Very smooth animation and the frames seem to follow through well, and the gems remind me of the gold old Insomniac games for Spyro =D
I think are turnign a bit too fast though.

Nicely done pixelover, the style of your lineart is interesting too.

ya, the gems turned slowly before uploading, but iaza seems to ignore fps, (or mabye it's benton movie GIF that ignore fps...) but they are supposed to rotate a little slower, also seeable in how hast the extra life cheesburger's smoke wafts.

The exmploding bat looks really good, but actually I want to see it in an animation to see if it isn't too static-looking because the amount of franmes isn't that high.

I liek the idea of the heap of grass, but I laso want to see it in animation-form to see how it jumps :p

The coins and diamants all look really clean :) Really well done :)
