Hello, and welcome to the Pokemon Breeding Club! This club is for those breeders who want to talk about special Pokemon that you've breeded to perfection! Masuda Method shinies are also open for discussion here. Now, here are the rules:
Rules:
1. Any one is allowed to accept members.
2. Please try your best to make your posts legible. We're not grammar police, but try and use proper grammar.
3. Only the Owner and Co-Owners may give strikes. Three and you are banned for two weeks. Three more and you are banned for two months. Get another three, and you are banned indefinitely, forever, whatnot.
4. No flaming.
5. No SPAM.
6. Stay on-topic.
7. Don’t complain about how the owner or co-owners do their jobs. If you have a problem with their decisions, contact them via PM or VM.
8. This isn't the place to handle trades; leave that to PMs and VMs if they have a specifically bred Pokemon you want.
9. Do not double/triple post. Do not post one-liners, either.
10. All SPPF rules apply here as well.
11. If there is a spambot/some random spammer, like "Check out this product" and such, DO NOT RESPOND/POST ABOUT THEM.
You will receive one strike if you break any of the rules listed here.
Now, the way to join this club is as follows:
I, (ScreenName), hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them. Then, please give a reason for why you want to join the club, whether you're a breeder, or your just interested in breeding Pokemon, whatever, just give a legitimate reason.
Oh, one more rule: HAVE FUN! Enjoy talking about Pokemon you're breeding or have bred!

The Pokémon Breeding Circuit!

Eggstatic for New Moves - Hatch a Pokémon with an Egg Move(s) and a TM. BOTH have to be moves that are not normally learnable. You can decide what Pokémon and moves however if they do not meet the standard they will not be counted. So no easy stuff. ** Egg moves must be chain bred.
IV got the right NATURE - Hatch a Pokémon with an Everstoned nature and a perfect IV, the IV has to benefit from the nature.
Volt Tackular Eggs - Hatch a Volt Tackle Pichu with 20+ Attack and Speed IVs.
Incensant Breeding - Hatch a Baby Pokémon through Incense Breeding
Master of Masuda - Hatch a Shiny Pokémon using the Masuda Method

Rules for Breeding Circuit

Smeargle is NOT allowed, due to it being able to learn any kind of move. This makes things a bit too easy.
No Dittos unless absolutely necessary (i.e. genderless Pokémon). We want you to get into egg groups as it’s more creative and helps in the long run.
No trading/hacking for the target. This defies the point of the circuit. You can obviously trade for foreign Pokémon to help with Master of Masuda or to help speed up the egg production.
If trading via serebiiforums.com to help with the circuit all forum rules apply. Especially the rules regarding hacked Pokémon. Don’t do it.
We would love to see the results of the circuit, so if you can, provide pictures to back up your story. Provide the OT, name, and ID number of your files before you start so we know you didn’t trade for the Pokémon.

**Examples with the Eggstatic for New Moves if you’re having trouble with thinking of moves and Pokémon:

Scyther with Baton Pass.
Archen with Head Smash
Marill with Future Sight.

Welcome to the club MewLover360, and you do not receive a strike because the rules were edited after you joined, but please make sure to follow the rules.
Well, still plugging away, I'm trying to breed for a Naughty Ekans so it can have a high Attack IV, but no luck. I'm mainly checking the runoff from my Ekans MM shiny hunt, but none of them have the right nature. Good luck on your breeding hunts!

Do you want me to help you by breeding some Ekans? I'll see if I have any and I'll breed it with my ditto. If I breed a naughty I'll trade it to you! Oops! I didn't see the new rule! Sorry! My progress:
Magikarp Eggs (Magieggs)
Hatched: 4
Obtained: 6
Current Eggs: 2
Shiny: 0
Normal: 4
All my normal hatched magikarps are always released since I don't like clutter!

Welcome LegitBreeder, but I have to give you a strike because of too short a post. Please make sure that your posts are long enough so they're not considered spam. Or one-liners, for that matter. I'm happy to see more members finally coming! A good thing to lengthen your posts is to discuss what your breeding for, and what sort of things you look for in your Pokemon when breeding.

Sorry for so many regular updates! XD I've just hatched a shiny magikarp!! I'm so excited! It's my first shiny magikarp! On the contrary my breeding magikarp that was in the daycare had to be switched since she evolved into a Gyarados so I put my newest shiny magikarp so now I have a 1/64 chance of having a shiny if I'm correct! Yay! Let's breed 64 eggs and I'm guaranteed to have at least 1 shiny! Yay!!

Hey guys! I have just begun my first real MM hunt ever: Caterpie! Fear his awesomeness and might!

I am really enthusiatic about this hunt. I just tried to MM Misdreavus, but after 1 painfully long party of hatching, I found out they take 6000+ steps to hatch :/

Congrats to MewLover360 on his breeding success!

I picked Caterpie for 3 reasons:
1) He is awesome
2) He hatches in roughly 2500 steps
3) He is awesome

Wish me luck! And Admin Miror B., I just noticed how much these rules look like the Shiny Hunter's Club's new and previous rules combined :P

Good Luck to All!

And my Sig will be updated with my new hunt.

EDIT: MewLover360, that chance boost is only in G/S/C... Sorry to burst your bubble

Welcome to the club ShinyDoug, glad this place is finally getting members! Yeah, I know that the rules look pretty much the same, but oh well, they are good rules, and I got permission from Zabi to use them (well, sort of). Good luck on your Caterpie hunt!
MewLover360, you barely avoided getting a strike for your last post, but it just managed to fit the bill at about 46 words and exactly 4 sentences. Just make sure that you have some more content to your posts. And congrats on the Magikarp by the way.
Good luck with your breeding!

I just remembered about some tricks I used to know to hatch eggs faster. But there is something I don't know:

Does Flame Body help hatch eggs faster? Or just Magma Armor?

I only ask because I currently don't have a Magma Armor Pokemon.

So Far I have hatched 30 eggs (1 Box) and I'm gonna get more and a Flame Body Poke (assuming it works) after church.

Actually, these eggs don't take that longto hatch anyway.

Good luck to all!

Edit: Since this does not warrant a new post, I'm at 60 eggs hatched.

Flame body and Magma armour both work! ^^ 30 caterpie eggs? Congratz! I've hatched 14 magikarp eggs! Not very big progress :/ But I think I'm doing pretty well so far! Now I've kinda slowed down the breeding because I've evolved my Golbat into a Crobat and I'm training it a bit more so I can hunt Raikou and then enter the E4! Today I'm also going to Game (store) in the UK (where I live) and catch some Wi-Fi to use Mystery Gift and acquire a shiny Suicune since it's the last day today! Wish me luck! ^^

SIGH. MewLover360, please do not go off on random tangents about why you cannot breed at the moment, or update every few eggs. Thanks. If you have an update, just do what ShinyDoug did and edit an older post, rather than making a new one every single time.
OK, so for being on topic, I'm up to around 700 eggs, and counting, and I did get the Naughty Ekans I wanted. I just hope that the shiny one I'm hunting for will be Naughty!

I, Pucca_ness, hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them.

Hi I would like to join because i've recently bred some decent pokemon and i would like to gain more knowledge for future hunts.

I've obtained a shiny Charmander and a shiny Dratini with Extreme Speed via MM.

The Dratini breeding resulted in having lots of ExtremeSpeed Dratini which were popular on the forums for trades!

I've decided that it's time for me to finally create a competitive team and i've started with Scizor.

I've been breeding Scyther with the Egg move Baton Pass and perfect HP, Attack and Speed ivs and a Jolly nature and the Technician ability. Preferably i'm looking for an outstanding one but's it's taking an age.

I have many with a Jolly nature and good ivs but they're not sticking in the right places. I think i'm doing everthing right, both parents have flawless HP/Atk/Spd one is passing a stat with an item and the other is passing the nature. The problem is the Ability and the ivs :P i've had some perfect ivs but the wrong nature.

Only time will solve this =P I think i gave all the right info there. One of the parents might not have all three of those with 31 ivs.

So yeah, i've got a small amount there. I've bred others for egg moves for people before and myself when i've needed them, i've also got some from trades.

I'm also decent at photshop and illustrator so if you need artwork i can give it a go. I've never done artwork for a forum before though.

I hope i will lean lots from this club =]

After careful consideration, it has been determined that Pucca_ness will from this time henceforth shall be a co-owner (like my Shakespearean language? :D). She has shown herself as reliable and competent enough for the place of co-owner. As co-owner, Pucca_ness does have the power to give out strikes, and will assist the owner (me) in his duties. Good luck in your breeding!

Hello everyone! First of all as co-owner i will be vigilant so any spam and whatnot will not be tolerated. If you're referring to me it's "she" not "he" just to clarify. ;)

If you double/triple post due to Serebii's or your own lagging issues then please delete one of them in the edit option thanks.

Also Mewlover, if you have to tell someone about your updates, i'm happy to listen via vm so you can save your larger posts for here. That way you can keep chatting to someone if you want/need to and you don't get in trouble for posting too little.

That goes for everyone who likes to update alot! Talk about updates amongst yourselves and talk about real progress, share tips and other pokemon breeding related things here.

I have some questions that members can answer if they want to. I hope they will add a bit of fun until Admin Miror B and I can think up any activities.

What first attracted you to pokemon breeding?
What was the first pokemon you bred? (In game egg events do not count, they have to be from pokemon you own)
What was the first pokemon you bred for a specific reason? (Nature/IVs/Ability/shiny/egg moves etc)
Have you found an unexpected gem while breeding? This can include female starters, shinies, flawless/great ivs, stuff like that as long as it was unexpected.
Why do you breed pokemon?
What's the best/favourite pokemon you've bred?
What's the longest it's taken to get your desired offspring?

Have you ever hatched a shiny?
Have you managed to breed a starter?

I know I'm never gonna reply to these if I don't now, so here goes nothing! (And in terms of Breeding, nothing is exactly right. I haven't played Pokemon since my chained Duskull yesterday. But back on topic)

What first attracted you to pokemon breeding?
I wanted more of some Pokemon that I already had during the days of FR/LG.

What was the first pokemon you bred? (In game egg events do not count, they have to be from pokemon you own)
That's a toughie... Squirtle maybe? It was so long ago...

What was the first pokemon you bred for a specific reason? (Nature/IVs/Ability/shiny/egg moves etc)
Um... It was really Cyndaquil for shininess (failed and SR'd)

Have you found an unexpected gem while breeding? This can include female starters, shinies, flawless/great ivs, stuff like that as long as it was unexpected.
Adamant Caterpies! Haha

Why do you breed pokemon?
For shinies and plain old duplication, sorry to say

What's the best/favourite pokemon you've bred?
Treeko. It was very helpful.

What's the longest it's taken to get your desired offspring?
Not long. I'm usually not looking for anything in particular. Still working on Caterpie, though.

Have you ever hatched a shiny?
Yes! Thank you Shiny Egg in Crystal! :)

Have you managed to breed a starter?
Yup, many times.

Welcome to the club beginingbreeder, i hope you will learn all you need to know and show us some top bred pokemon! :)

As for me, not really bred any more Scyther, been playing White version alot. I plan to breed a shiny Axew at some point because shiny Haxorus is one of the best shinies imo.

Is anyone else planning to breed for shinies in 5th gen? Has anyone bred a shiny in 5th gen?

ShinyDoug

I decided to MM Munna since it has such a low step count to hatch. I have hatched 29 Munna eggs in a new hunt that I may or may not continue. However, when the 30th egg was hatching, my DSi did the all-too-often thing that it does of turning off when the left front corner is hit lightly. I REALLY hope it wasn't a shiny. I chose Munna because it is really easy to hatch, especially with my Flame Body Magmortar, which causes some to hatch before I get all 5 in my party.

Good luck to all of you guys!

Pucca_ness

I'm currently hatching Axew in 5th gen.

I'm aiming for an Adamant nature and a shiny version of it. So far about 60 eggs hatched, the going will be slow for i have a lot of college work to do.

Good luck on the Munna! I heard there was a way to speed up hatching even more by using something from the Entralink or w/e it's called but it's not permanent.
Plus i do not know if it affects shiny production.

I got bored of hatching Pichus at egg 200.So I stoped MM So I can...IV Breed... Turtwig!In Honour of Torterra,the fallen Starter.What I should do with the Leftovers?Oh and I´ll start Breeding after my break
=P
EDIT:Pucca_ness,I said that what I should do with the pichus.And aiming for 31 IVs in the defenses.And we should do a MM Race.The first one in hatch a shiny wins

Pucca_ness
15th March 2011, 2:15 PM
^Leftovers won't affect anything in breeding. If you want to pass down natures use an everstone. If you want to pass ivs in HG/SS use the power items. What IVs are you aiming for? Any egg moves?

Also i'll have to give you a strike as you have less than four sentences and less than 40 words. Those are the rules i'm afraid.

Hatched 135 Axew eggs and no shiny yet. It may take some time!!

Any of you guys got ideas of challenges/activities we could do in the club? I was thinking of a circuit of some sort however i am unsure of how it would work or what stages would be involved.

EDIT: I was referring to the Turtwigs :P AND by leftovers you meant Pichu's I do apologise haha! I was thinking in terms of items for some reason. You should trade them off on Serebii, you'd be surprised how popular bred pokemon with egg moves are.

I will take the MM hunt into consideration ;) any ideas are welcome!

18th March 2011, 4:46 PM
hey question about shinys. How do you get them? I have not really ever done it and am curious.

Pucca_ness
18th March 2011, 11:04 PM
I hate giving out strikes but beginingbreeder you get one for that one liner. Please look over the rules on the front page, thanks.

Also shinies can be obtained in a few ways - Random encounters, soft resetting and breeding. As this is a breeding thread I will go into more detail in that area.

The chance of finding a shiny is 1 in 8192. That does not mean that after encountering 8192 pokemon a shiny will definately appear. It means that every time you encounter a pokemon the chance of being shiny is 1/8192 everytime.

The same goes with breeding, however if you put your pokemon into daycare with a pokemon from a foreign cart to your own it lowers the chance to 1/2000ish (cannot remember the exact numer) if in 4th gen or 1/1300 (again, not accurate) if you're breeding in 5th gen.

It can still take lots of eggs to get the shiny. It took only 11 eggs to find my shiny Charmander but over 1000 to find my shiny Dratini.

Also the shinyness of an egg is determined when it is generated in 4th gen but in 5th gen it is determined when you pick it up. So in 5th gen you can Soft reset for eggs easier.

Miror

I regret to inform you beginingbreeder, but I have to ban you for two weeks. You broke three separate rules with your post:
1. It was a one liner.
2. It was less than 40 words and 4 sentences.
3. It was off topic, if you want to discuss how to get shiny pokemon, you should go to the Shiny Hunter's Club for that.
Sorry if the rules are a bit strict, but spammers are all too common, not that I'm saying you are one, but those rules are there to prevent them. See you in two weeks, meaning you can post again after April 1, 2011.
Now, on topic, I'm importing my Arbok and Ditto so that I can breed in Black and White for some pretty good moves, and to continue my MM shiny hunt. Have fun breeding everyone!

21st March 2011, 11:18 PM
I, redbugman97, hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them.

What first attracted you to pokemon breeding? There is a chance you could get a shiny Pokemon (Masuda Method) and you could also get special moves!
What was the first pokemon you bred? I can't remember. I believe it was a Bidoof just for testing.
What was the first pokemon you bred for a specific reason? I bred a male Machamp and a female Infernape to get a baby Chimchar to train or trade!
Have you found an unexpected gem while breeding? This can include female starters, shinies, flawless/great ivs, stuff like that as long as it was unexpected. I got a female baby Zorua! I heard some guy hatched 80 Zorua eggs and none were female! Zoruas appearing to be a female is as rare as a starter Pokemon appearing female.
Why do you breed pokemon? I breed to get Pokemon to know special moves and for filling out my Pokedex.
What's the best/favourite pokemon you've bred? Breeding for any rare Pokemon is very fun!
What's the longest it's taken to get your desired offspring? It probably took me about a week because I was more into training.
Have you ever hatched a shiny? Unfortunately, I have never hatched a shiny Pokemon.
Have you managed to breed a starter? Yes, I have! Many times!

I hope I get accepted!

(and yes, this means you're accepted :) ) Now onto business, I got my Arbok to my Black and have been breeding, got an Ekans with a 31 Attack IV, and a 30 Speed IV, so I'm planning on raising him. Up to around 40 eggs on my Ekans MM Hunt. Good luck to you all, and happy breeding!

Hooray! I am accepted! Thank you Admin Miror B! Anyways, I found my old Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl National Pokedex book and it contains a TON of breeding information. I'm thinking about breeding my female Charizard with a male Pokemon that knows Dragon Dance so I could get a super-strong sweeping baby Charmander. I'm thinking about using a Pokemon from the Axew family to breed with Charizard...

I, Alistair150, hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them.

What first attracted you to pokemon breeding? Mostly MM and chain breeding. I plan to make a perfect Wi-Fi team and when I saw this group I just though, heck why not :)
What was the first pokemon you bred? Hmm... Probably a bagon but if you go all the way back it was probably when I tried breeding two dittos together :D
What was the first pokemon you bred for a specific reason? Bagon for my pro team. That bagon is now a salamence with DD :D
Have you found an unexpected gem while breeding? Hmm... not really a gem but definitely unexpected. I had a level 7 jigglypuff in my fire red game which for some reason I taught mega punch and mega kick... don't ask me why. Anyways I put that jigglypuff in the day care and that was 3 years ago :P I found out a week ago that there was a lvl 68 jigglypuff in the daycare on my firered and wanna know what the craziest thing was??? The moveset was sing, uproar, and... something else I can't remember but neither mega punch or mega kick were still there :D
Why do you breed pokemon? Mostly for moves and certain natures, but plan to start MM soon when I get a japanese ditto :)
What's the best/favourite pokemon you've bred? Dunno, probably lillipup since I would get one every 30 seconds and I had 4 boxes full of eggs. And I like lillipup anyways, its cute :D
What's the longest it's taken to get your desired offspring? Dunno, never really though about it
Have you ever hatched a shiny? Unfortunately... no
Have you managed to breed a starter? Yup, a few hundred cyndaquils were crammed in my PC box on a separate game one time. Good times :D

Hello, welcome to the club redbugman97 and Alistair150! New members yay!

30 seconds per Lillipup? Well that's better than the 2-8 mins per Axew =/ Took me two hours to fill four boxes!

Speaking of which, i've collected 250 more eggs, putting my count up to 400 in total. I really hope the Axew shines in this batch because of my SR hunt for Suicune taking 66 hours and still no shiny is getting annoying. Plus that Dratini... over 1000 eggs... damn.

We're working on a circuit just now and any ideas would be greately appreciated! =3

In reference to the Jigglypuff with the mega moves. Working with breeding parents while passing egg moves is a pain as they forget the moves and learn the next one as they level up. That's why the Jigglypuff did not have the moves your thought it did. You have to keep removing them from DC and juggle the moves about.

Dunno if this works with HMs. Does anyone know if HMs get deleted? I may need to test this.

Miror
22nd March 2011, 3:15 PM
Yes, HM's do get deleted at the day care. It's a nuisance, I know, but we just have to deal with it. Welcome Alistair150, glad to see you join this here club. No news for me, other than that I'm now raising the Ekans with the good IV's, and I'm still hunting for a MM Ekans. Good luck to you all in your breeding, and have fun!

After getting my much anticipated Japanese Ditto of wi-fi i've decided to cancel my Roggenrola search and try the Masuda Method. I've narrowed it down to a few for breeding. I could either breed...

A: A shiny Zorua. Don't plan to evolve since shiny Zoroark is ugly and its also the "mascot" for the shiny hunters or...

B: A shiny Torchic. I guess it would be killing two birds with one stone in a way seeing as I have been SRing for a shiny Torchic atm. Plus it would be my first shiny starter! As well as first shiny. So like I said, two birds with one stone! Or two torchics with one stone? O.O

Breeding a Zorua is a grand idea. I'm going to hunt it in the future as part of my Black shiny collection.

However i'd be too tempted to evolve it :P Love the Purple and black/dark brown combo on Zoroark!

I've hatched 450 Axew eggs... GAH! No shiny but i'll keep going!!

After more careful consideration, it has been determined that Shinydoug will from this time henceforth shall be another co-owner. He has shown himself as reliable and competent enough for the place of co-owner. As co-owner, Shinydoug does have the power to give out strikes, and will assist the owner (me), and the other co-owner (Pucca_ness) in our duties. I hope you agree with my decision to enstate him as a co-owner, and that he will do his job well.
Now, just to report, we will soon start the annual Pokemon Breeding Circuit, a competition with five legs and we race to see who can fulfill all five legs first. This is just for fun (sorry we can't really award any prizes), and it will probably start in the next few months (in the meantime, we will plan and converse about it), and I will post when it begins. Good luck in your breeding!

29th March 2011, 10:31 PM
Wow, it's been over 2 weeks since I last posted. Sorry about that. If any of you also follow the Shiny Pokemon Club, you'll know what has been taking my time, but in case you don't, it is school, my 3DS, and my gf (:)). Anywho, this has also taken away my Munna time, as well as any other Pokemon time I would normally have. Basically I don't have much time.

Also, as Admin announced a while ago, I'm a co-owner now :) Basically that changes nothing other than me now being another person who can hand out strikes and work on club stuff. So we will begin the Circuit soon, and I am actually seeing if I can make a decent prize in the form of a banner. Good luck to all!

Welcome to the Club Android Zoroark! Another Zorua hunter =3 I can see why, such a pretty pokemon in both shiny and non shiny! Flawless and shiny? Quite a challenge. I wish you the best of luck and i'm sure we can help in your breeding career.

I apologise if I am a bit inactive just now. College is pretty time consuming. But I will keep up to date and work on the circuit best I can.

Also... Axew <.< collected 1130 eggs, hatched 800. No shiny. The next 330 best contain that shiny egg!

Thank you for the warm welcoming.
I probably will never actually get that perfect zorua, but, a goal is a goal.
I'm at least hoping to have one of the two qualifications for "perfect" on a zorua.
The zorua family are really awsome looking normal and shiny.

Back on topic, I may start my Munna hunt again soon. However, I am currently working on other things.

Welcome to the club, Android Zoroark! I may hatch Zoruas soon too.

Lastly, the Pokemon Breeding Circuit is almost here! I am making banner prizes when I have time, if Admin approves.

I did though catch a munna and i am going to raise it then breed it later for a couple of good moves that can help me. I am going to need a ditto in B/W but i can't trade which stinks, and it would make it a lot easier if i could.(breeding im talking about.)

For teh record, Android Zoroark, all you need is three Heart Scales and a male Dusclops, and a female Gastly/Haunter/Gengar. Dusclops has all of the punches at Level 1.

Hi! I would like to join because I'm really starting to like breeding

I found an easy method to hatch eggs:
1) Obtain an egg via Daycare/Trade
2) Catch a Pokemon with Flame Body or Magma Armor. (i.e Volcarona)
3) Go to Skyarrow Bridge, and ride your bike up and down the ENTIRE length of the bridge.

Just thought I'd tell y'all that just in case you needed a good place for egg hatching (:

Also, I wanted to join this club to learn about IV Breeding and New Breeding Tips. I look forward to chatting with y'all!

Hello welcome to the club ZottenDim and SilverLugiaJ! ^.^

EDIT: Welcome to you too Porygon XYZ! Good luck with your Drillburs! Quite a collection there.

That is a very good tip, I use the same when hatching Axew eggs.

Saying that <.< 1130 eggs hatched, not a single shiny. Oh well gotta keep trying.

If you have the power Items in HG/SS and give them to breeding parents, the corresponding IV will be passed on to the offspring. A great way to IV breed, especially if the parents have 31 ivs in different stats.

Just thought that would be a good starting point for anyone starting to iv breed.

I just breed until I get a good characteristic on the stat screen and then go and ask the IV checker man at the battle tower.

Anyway, a breeidng FAQ should be on the first post by now, if not i'll get that sorted.

@ZottenDim
What punch will the Growlithe have? You just said punch :P

I also will be breeding an Impish Gligar with Roost and Stealth Rock. However those are rare TMs, this is for a person on serebii.

On a more serious note, do magma armor, flame body, etc. really hatch eggs faster (I had always thought that was just a rumor)?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Thanks Alder

Yes, it is true. I believe that it cuts the time to hatch an egg by 25%. This is especially useful when hatching eggs that take longer to hatch. I have found that Dragon Type Pokemon and Starters take longer to hatch. Pokemon with Magma Armor include: Slugma, Magcargo, and Camerupt. Pokemon with Flame Body include: Slugma, Magcargo, Magby, Magmar, Magmortar, Ponyta, Rapidash, Heatran, Litwick, Lampent, Chandelure, Larvesta, and Volcarona. As you can see, there are plenty of Pokemon that can help reduce the time that eggs hatch.

Welcome DJMonty and alishenai, and I'd recommend you reread the rules alishenai, because you just earned yourself a strike for not meeting the 4 sentence rule. And DJMonty, to answer your questions, there's the Masuda Method, which increases the chance of shinies to 1/2048 in everything but Black and White, which the chance for shinies is lowered even more to around 1/1100, from the original 1/8192. Breeding for IV's is relatively easy, you just need to get Pokemon with good natures and IV's to breed, so that you get one with a better IV, and you repeat the process. That's a very small description, but it should do as a summary. Good luck to you all in your breeding!
EDIT: Oh, by the way billybobjoefizz, it's completely random for how long a hunt takes, it could take from 2 eggs to up to 9000 eggs, and higher.

billybobjoefizz

miror b, i wanna bet you that:
1. i will get a shiny totodile at about 8999 eggs,
2. my game will break the second i hatch a shiny OR
3. goblins will come out of flying ice cream trucks and steal my ds
im going with number 3 personally

Pucca_ness
9th April 2011, 1:09 PM
^I seriously hope it doesn't take you 8999 eggs to hatch a masuda shiny =/ They take SO LONG to hatch -_- Especially rarer things like dragons and starters.

I was hatching more Scyther last night. Hatched a few outstanding ones and I was annoyed because I had a batch with two jolly natured ones (The nature I want) and yes you guessed it... both had swarm (I want Technician). ALL the other Scyther in the batch had the wrong nature but HAD Tecnician.

It didn't matter too much in the end because the IV man said they were only above average or relatively superior. I'm looking for and outstanding, jolly, Technician, baton passing, Scyther.

OR I may just give in and go with a Relatively superior one with 31 in HP, ATK and SPD.

Good luck with breeding guys.

Charizard's best stats are special attack and speed, so either timid or modest is a good nature.

But since it can also learn belly drum, it can be a good physical attacker as well, in which case you'd use jolly or adamant natures.

Hello everyone, I'm interested in joining this club, as I've enjoyed breeding pokemon since my third generation games. I breed for natures, IVs, eggmoves and other elements because I find it fun, self fulfilling and interesting. My latest success happened earlier today when I was breeding Mudkips with relaxed nature and curse. I managed to hatch it with 27/31/31/31/25/31 IVs, so that's my most current project! I look forward to sharing my experiences with everyone in the future.

@DJMonty - I think that almost constitutes a strike as you posted less than McNugget however you appear to have four sentences. It is over 40 words too. Just be careful of your sentence length and number, that goes to everyone!
Either way good luck with the Chimchar! I highly dislike it but the shiny is a nice colour ^.^ I hear Infernape is a good pokemon too.

Surprisingly it only took me a couple of days to get that little guy, previously I had two mudkip on diamond version I would breed continuously hoping to get differing results, but it never happened. XD I eventually learned that to continue adding good stats to the pool between a mating pair I would have to trade out the parents. In this case I just continued replacing the male mudkip with curse, until I had near perfect parents. Inbreeding helps, as terrible as that sounds. My next target will most likely be a special tank tyranitar

So peoples, I just thought I'd say that our Circuit is in its final stages. Last minute edits and finishing touches, then it will become official. We have banner prizes, rules, and obviously 5 legs, some of which are signifigantly more difficult than others. Just give us a couple more days, a week or two at most. It shouldn't take that long, though.

So this'll give you something to look forward to. Our circuit and the SPC's are starting soon. (If you're like me, you've got Spring Break next week ;)) Yay! So play fair, play hard, and have fun!

I, Tarkana, hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them.

I've been playing since Pokemon Red and Blue, but after Crystal I lost interest.

Pokemon Black and White reignited my love for Pokemon. I find it to be a well-rounded and challenging game, especially when it comes to competitive online play (which I have little to no experience with D:!).

I've been breeding for appropriately-natured Pokemon for use in the Battle Subway and wireless battles, but this group has inspired me to breed for shiny Pokemon too :)

My most recent bred Pokemon is a Tynamo (Brave, 29/31/23/21/31/10). Is that any good?

Also bred a Drilbur (Adamant, Sand Rush, 31 is Attack and Speed, can't remember the rest...).

Anyway, hope to learn a lot and share experiences with everyone ^_^

Welcome Tarkana to the club, I'm glad it has inspired you to go for that Tynamo because it's quite a good one! Same with the Drilbur =3

I sort of lost interest after Crystal aswell but I got back when 4th gen was just about released. I was playing 3rd gen while everyone else played D+P because I couldn't afford a DS.

The Circuit is a hair's breadth away from completion. We're looking into egg move chains so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't posted here in awhile, so I thought i would update with my MM news for my White game.

Last saturday (ish, I don't remember exactly) I successfully hatched my first MM'd shiny ever, a Jolly beldum! It has 30 IV's in special defence and 28 ish in Speed, so I am very happy (even though the adamant everstone failed).

Today I hatched my second MM'd shiny, a Modest Treecko! I haven't determined IV's yet but this is especially exciting for me because the everstone worked and I love Sceptile. I plan on EV training both of these for use on a shiny team in the future.

My next breeding hunt will be for shiny Larvesta. I also want to breed a shiny Deino with dark pulse, so I am currently searching for a Japanese female deino/Zweilous/Hydreigon. That will become my priority on White once I find one =)

Good luck with the breeding everyone!

I didn't post this here yet!

I'm hatching for a MM shiny Snivy. I have hatched 150 Snivys as of literally 2 minutes ago. I'm gonna get 10 boxes (300 eggs) filled today, and go on a hatching spree tonight since I have nothing to do for the next week. (What a boring vaca)

I'm really motivated for this shiny hunt. Snivy is a boss, even when he pops out non-shiny. He still looks cool! If I get lucky (and I feel very lucky right now) he/she will hatch in my next 300 eggs.

As Pucca_ness already stated, we have all 5 legs planned and rules made. We just need Egg Move Chains.

IF YOU KNOW ANY EGG MOVE CHAINS THAT WE COULD USE, PLEASE PM OR VM US.

Good Luck, Happy Breeding, and Wish Me Luck!

Hello! I want to join this club because I love breeding for shiny pokemon. :O Right now I'm MMing for a shiny Joltik, but no luck so far. :( I'm around 760~ eggs for it... hopefully it shines soon. (My other shiny pokemon hatched via MM is a shiny Spheal I got in 277 eggs. :D) Also, I have a question about MMing in B/W. If I turn off my DS will it lower my chances of getting a shiny? I always turned off my DS when MMing for a Spheal and I got a shiny so yeah, just curious.

Welcome to the club! Turning off your DS doesn't lower the chances, it just changes the shiny seed. Basically it is still random.

^Congrats on Pastel!

I have Serperior at level 53. I put these EV's on her:
252 Def, 252 SpA, 4 HP

So with my recent Masuda luck, I'm interested in another hunt. I am going to get as many boxes as possible tonight, and I will have 10 boxes when I hatch. I got a Japanese Tepig from the GTS for a Ditto, and bred that with an English Ditto to get a Lonely Tepig. I'm breeding Lonely Everstone Tepig with the aforementioned Japanese Tepig to try and get a Lonely Shiny Tepig.

The Golden Bacon will be mine!

After I get my 10 boxes, I will have 330 Tepigs hatched. But if I'm really lucky, there will be a shiny Tepig in those boxes! If I get that lucky, I'm going to focus on EVing it and leveling both it and Serperior to level 100. Then I'll MM Oshawott. I'm not too enthusiastic about this since I don't particularly like Oshawott or Samurott's shinies, but Dewott is cool. However, if I MM both of the others I might as well complete the set. Not looking forward to it, but I'll feel good about getting a full shiny trio.

So yeah, Happy Breeding! Wish Me Luck!

Oh, by the way, if I can get the SD slot on my computer working I will have high quality Snivy, Servine, and Serperior pics.

I am no longer breeding for shinies. I gave up on my Chimchar purely because hatching the eggs was so darn boring. I now breed for IV's and Egg Moves, seeing as they're easier and are much more useful in game. Good luck to anyone still MMing!

So, for an update, nothing's going well as for breeding. I've postponed my Ekans hunt at about 500 eggs so that I can participate in the Shiny Hunter's Circuit, so I've been a little sidetracked. Also, for further notice, the Breeding Club Circuit will start REALLY SOON! Be sure to check in the next week or two (more likely next week) for when it starts, and it'll be great. Congrats to both Shinydoug on Snivy and SphealsFTW on Joltik! Good luck to you all, and have fun!

I love to breed my Pokemon. I find it very troublesome to just use a Pokemon you caught in the wild with any random nature. I have devoted much of my time to raising my special Pokemon that I hatched, such as my Hydreigon, Lucario, Haxorus, Gallade, and many others. However, I feel as though I could be learning a few more secrets about proper movesets and natures to look for when breeding. That is why I wish to join this club so I may post my recent breedings and ask for feedback on what I can improve. Thank you for reading this and I hope you accept me.

Hi, I have been manically breeding the past few weeks since I got my white game. It took me a while to find a suitable place to discuss breeding, so I was grateful when I came across this one. I even just registered in the forums to discuss it, so I hope I will be accepted.

What first attracted you to pokemon breeding?
Since the very first generations, my brother and I always shared a huge enthusiasm for the thought of going through the games with all three starters. We would start over, get the pokédex, trade between the games, and repeat until we had 3 starters in lv. 5 in one socket. So I suppose breeding for starters was my first turn-on.

What was the first pokemon you bred? (In game egg events do not count, they have to be from pokemon you own)
A Cyndaquil in my Gold game, IIRC.

What was the first pokemon you bred for a specific reason? (Nature/IVs/Ability/shiny/egg moves etc)
I started systematically breeding for pokémon after discovering Battle Frontier in Emerald. Smogon really opened my eyes at this point, and I actually started paying attention to natures and IVs. I believe the first pokémon I bred for a competitive reason was a Hazing Weezing..

Have you found an unexpected gem while breeding? This can include female starters, shinies, flawless/great ivs, stuff like that as long as it was unexpected.
The first pokémon I ever hatched with 4 31 IVs was a Stunfisk while chain-breeding IVs for Tirtouga I believe. Kind of ironic and funny, seeing how ridiculous this pokémon is.

Why do you breed pokemon?
I always have, and probably always will, breed pokémon for competitive reasons, even if I actually hardly ever end up battling over wifi. I breed for great IVs, natures, moves and abilities so that I can transfer the newly bred and IV-trained mons to a new socket and run through the game with them (going through games with bred/EV-trained mons is so satisfying). I'll be starting Black once I finished the last out of 5 mons I'm breeding in white. Can't wait! Also, I'm lucky enough to have friends who also breed, so it's almost like a competitive thing seeing who can get the best ones, although we also help each other and share etc.

What's the best/favourite pokemon you've bred?
Today I justed hatched an impish, slack off Hippopotas in my Heart Gold game (for stealth rock) with these IVs:
31/31/31/31/31/8
I'm extremely happy, even though that 31 sp.atk stat won't really have any practical meaning to me. However, it is male, so it is perfect for breeding anything in the ground group that does not rely on speed/egg moves.

What's the longest it's taken to get your desired offspring?
A few days to a week. Again, I don't breed for shinies, and I'm getting the hang of chain-IV-breeding, so it usually doesn't take too long before I'm pleased. I usually don't aim too high either, being pleased with mons with 2-3 31 IVs in the essential stats.

Have you ever hatched a shiny?
Unfortunately, in my 11 years of strong devotion to pokémon, I have never hatched nor encountered a shiny pokémon, though I have chained for shiny doduo and smeargle. (will not discuss further)

It surprises me how many people are using the MM-method to breed for shinies, and kudos to all of you for your patience! Also, congratulations to all that have seen results, I must admit I am quite jealous.
I would like to hear more from people who breed for competitive reasons though, which pokémon you breed for, if you are making a team, what it takes to make you satisfied with a hatched mon etc. etc.
I'm happy to share my past experiences and current projects^^

Welcome Solfatara to the club =D Your intro post is fantastic! Lots of information!

Very lucky with the Stunfisk, I wish the IVs just magicked themselves onto the right stats for my Scythers! Also congrats on the Hippowdon, it's quite the beast.

I agree, while I have my own Masuda hunt on just now i'd also like to hear more about competitive breeding and the like. It's why I gained interest in the club in the first place. Right now I'd really like some information on people's steps to getting a flawless pokemon because these Scyther's are so random at times. I'm wondering if i'm not doing something right or not to the best it could be done.
Yes i've been using power items on HG and also an everstone once I got sick of every two jolly/adamantss that appeared out of hundreds of non Atk+/Spd+ natures having either bad ivs or the wrong ability.

Congrats shiny Doug on the snivy. I've been excruciatingly busy and still am so you're lucky to be getting a post from me right now.

Congrats sphealsFTW on Pastel! It's really cute, I love spiders, it would be nice to have a shiny Galvantula to go with my Ariados.

Again, any suggestions on challenging egg move chains should be PM'd to either myself or shinydoug. Other enquieries concerning the club go to all of us including Admin miror B as he owns the club. I'm rather busy as i've mentioned right now so shinydoug/Admin miror B are your best bets if you need a reply quickly for any enquieries (sorry guys, i'm stressed to hell right now!! I hope you've got easier schedules).

Good luck guys!

@Manafi’s Dream: I definitely agree; just catching random wild mons in-game and using them is not an option anymore, even though this was how I always used to do it before I actually became aware of the depth of the Pokémon mechanics. If I am simply going through the game for the first time, I usually soft-reset for a decent starter, and catch a big quantity of the Pokémon I will use, pick the one with the best nature and IVs, and go on with that. Any poke I want to use competitively, has to be IV-bred and EV-trained.

@Pucca_ness: Thanks, feels good joining my first club, especially since it’s one about breeding^^

Ok, it seems people are interested in how the breeding mechanics work, and how to most effectively breed for Pokémon with high IVs. I most certainly don’t know everything, but since I started breeding in generation five I have bred 5 different pokes with relatively high success, so I will (as systematically as possible) post here a little breeding guide that I hope will be helpful. If you want it all, go here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20655
If you want my personal methods, read on:) I hope this will not be too long, and sorry if I repeat some things you already know.

First: If in doubt whether you should bother using the everstone, stop doubting immediately. If you want to breed for a Pokémon that somehow is supposed to fit into a team, or just even function as well as possible on its own, having the correct nature is absolutely vital. There are 25 natures, giving you a 4 % chance of getting the right nature every time you hatch an egg. But even more important; there is no point in not using the everstone to breed for natures, as you have nothing to gain on giving both parents power items: If both parents are holding a power item, ONLY ONE of the representative stats will be passed on to the offspring. Thus, make sure the female parent always has the nature you are looking for, and always is holding an everstone.

Actually, you can sum up how to breed a good poke in one sentence: breed parents with high IVs.
Taken from the “Introduction to breeding” section from the link above (though not directly quoted), the inheriting stats mechanics are as follows:
First the baby’s IVs are generated at random.
Then one random IV from one random parent overlaps one of the generated IVs.
Then another random IV, except from HP, from a random parent overlaps another IV.
Then another random IV, except from HP and Defense, from a random parent overlaps another IV.
This means that the offspring will always inherit three times. However, this does not mean that the offspring will inherit three IVs; it can for example first inherit the speed IV from the father, and then inherit the speed stat from the mother, overlapping both the initially generated stat and the first inherited stat.

This information can be utilized, not to guarantee an offspring with good IVs, but to increase the chances of hatching babies with good IVs drastically.
To check for 31 IVs, talk to the guy with the blue hair in the battle subway. He will list up all the best stats of your Pokémon.

First, when breeding, you should never aim for all out 31s, as even with all out 31 parents, the chance of this is FAR lower than finding a shiny Pokémon. Focus on two or three stats that are the most important, and make sure you have these stats in 31 represented somewhere. Most people find it useful breeding with ditto, as it is compatible with any breedable Pokémon. However, this requires that you have caught ditto with 31 in various stats. What I did in White, was to go through all my boxes and look for pokes with 31 IVs. Most probably, if you catch some Pokémon as you go through the game, you will find quite a few. Use serebii’s IV calculator to make sure the characteristics simply aren’t fooling you. Now you can start using your power-items to chain-breed individual values from one poke to another, and from one egg group to another if you have pokes that are in more than one egg group (you can for example go from dragon, axew, to ground; scraggy, to flying; woobat, to water1; tirtouga, etc., etc.) . Make sure you have all power items available, so transferring teams from earlier games to combat in the subway is not a bad idea.

Before you start chain-breeding IVs, it is important to make a plan on which stats you want the different parents to be flawless in. As the power items ensure that you will pass on a stat every time, you only need this stat represented once: in the father. Thus, if you want a fast poke, make the father have a 31 speed IV, and don’t worry about the mother having it. (You probably want her to be jolly/timid holding an everstone.) You may have noticed that there is smaller chance of passing down HP and defense, as they have fewer chances to be inherited. So if you’re breeding for something defensive, you should probably make the father hold the power weight, as it otherwise would be less probable that the HP-stat is passed down. On the other hand, it cannot be overlapped if it first is passed down, so this is up to personal taste I suppose.

Now, as three stats can be passed down, it is vital that the parents have more than one 31 IV each to get a good result. I’ve found that getting a poke to have three 31 IVs really is not that difficult, even though you can count on hatching a few eggs on the way.
Switching out parents often is the way to go, even though it is expensive. Here is an example of how you can proceed:
You are breeding for a female, jolly mother with 31 in HP, Attack and Defense. First, make sure she has the correct nature. Any IVs in 31 is not necessary.
A Pokémon, A, in the same egg group has a 31 in atk. First, make sure it is male or breed for a male. Use the power brace to make sure 31 in atk is passed on. Then, breed the male 31 atk IV poke with the female desired poke, holding everstone. Switch poke A with a hatched male for a higher quantity of eggs. Keep a hatched jolly female. Release the previous female (for convenience sakes, you will end up with A LOT of pokes, so release as many of them to stay in control of what you have bred and will continue breeding).
Now, find a male poke, B, that has 31 in HP. Use the power weight on that poke and everstone on the female. Replace B with a male 31 HP poke. As you go along hatching eggs, check all males and all the females with the right nature. If you get a male with both 31 IVs, replace it with the previous male for a higher chance of passing down the attack stat: as you can see, if both parents have a 31 stat in attack, the chance is 1/5, or 20 %, that this stat is passed down every time the baby inherits a stat. (HP is inherited on the first turn, and cannot be inherited again. Also, on the last turn, the chance is Ľ, 25 %, as defense cannot be inherited.) Once you get a female with the right nature and both stats in 31, proceed to breed her with a poke C, that has 31 in defense. Repeat the process. You will probably pretty quickly get a male that has 31 in defense and either HP or attack. Now you are breeding a female with 31 in HP and atk with a male with 31 in defense and HP or attack. This is the part that will probably take the longest, so make sure you at this point release everything that is male or does not have the right nature. Check only the females with the correct nature for one with 3 31 IVs to be as effective as possible. This usually takes me half an hour to a few hours, so nothing tremendously time-consuming, unless you are very unlucky.
Of course you can modify this whole procedure to your preference, perhaps first breeding for a male with two IVs so you don’t always have to worry about the correct nature and a female, but the guidelines are more or less the same, also if you’re using ditto.
Now, when breeding for a father, follow the same procedure, only now you will not have to worry about nature, but perhaps about other factors like egg moves. Make sure you have it all covered so you don’t make the same mistake as I made (breeding a Hippo in White only to realize it could not learn stealth rock anymore. I had to start all over again in Platinum).

When breeding, make sure the stats you care about the most are represented in both parents (apart from the one that the male will pass down every time.)
Having two parents with 31 in attack increases the chances of passing this down immensely. When I was breeding for Scraggy, the parents looked like this:
F: 31 in HP, atk, def
M (smeargle): 31 in HP, atk, speed (and sp.def, but this was entirely random. Sometimes you are just lucky.)
As you can see, the stats that I was focusing on the most, HP and atk, are represented in both parents, and speed is passed down every turn. At the same time you increase your chances of generally higher IVs by having more stats represented (defense in the mother for instance). Thus, if you hatch another female with the correct nature that may not be up to the standards of the poke you want to finally end up with, but for instance has outstanding overall potential, you might want to switch her with the current mother as long as she has the same 31 stats represented. And that is what it really is all about: keep on increasing your chances, and you will end up with something good over time.
The hatching-method I have found most effective, is: picking up five eggs, hatching them. Release all the pokes that are not of the right nature/ability (unless you are looking for stronger parents). Deposit those that look promising, until you have 5. Fly to the battle subway. Check for 31 stats. If anything promising, enter a subway challenge to get more accurate results. Release if you’re not pleased. Repeat. (If the chances of picking up eggs are lower, I don’t always wait until I have five before I release and deposit.) Of course you can also use the mass hatching method, depositing large quantities of eggs before you hatch them, though this is only advisable if you’re not scouting for new parents. This is also less expensive.

Sorry or the excruciatingly long post. I do hope that some questions on a good way to proceed have been answered though. The scraggy parents gave me these two scraggy after less than an hour:
1: jolly/moxie: 30/31/26-27/16/31/31
2: jolly/moxie: 31/31/28-29/?/26-27/31 (forgot the sp.atk stat)
Of course, it is still much up to luck, and there is no doubt you will end up getting some awful ones even with awesome parents, but really, it does make a difference.

Good breeding everyone, I’m saying good night.

Hi, everyone. I would like to seek some advice on my current breeding project: Spiritomb

Here are its current stats:

Nature: Timid
Ability: Pressure
Level: 34
Gender: Female
HP: 87
Attack: 63
Defense: 84
Sp. Atk: 77
Sp. Def: 88
Speed: 39

Moves:
Will-O-Wisp
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power (Fighting)
Psychic

I am currently training for a high HP stat against Victini and plan on focusing on Speed next. Feedback is greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.

Hi, Manafi's Dream!
It seems you are not in a current breeding project, but rather a current EV-training project. If you plan to use your spiritomb as a parent, that is fine, but remember that its EVs do not affect the offspring at all. To train in HP against Victini will thus do nothing positive for the HP stat of your Spiritomb's offspring. The IVs are not variables, but are set between 0-31 in each stat when a pokemon is encountered/hatched. They cannot be changed.

When it comes to your spiritomb, focusing on HP is a good idea, as spiritomb has good base defenses but below average HP. However, with Spiritomb's extremely low speed (35 base), a timid nature and investing speed EVs is not recommended, at least not from me. With its low HP base stat but good defenses I would rather focus on Pain Split to wear opponents down while simultaneously heal yourself, and sucker punch for priority if you want to hit first. Other than that, will o' wisp is a good move on Spiritomb, so I would keep that:)
Nice work^^

Nice to see new members ^_^

I've been breeding more Pokemon for use mainly in the battle subway. It gets pretty difficult and I appreciate the challenge.

I did manage to breed a jolly Archen with Head Smash (31 IV's in speed and attack) but after evolving it and giving it a whirl in the subway, I decided that Head Smash pretty much renders Archeops useless after a single knock out :\ will replace it with Stone Edge or Rock Slide.

Also bred an "outstanding" Petilil with 31's in special attack, special defence and speed. Probably won't use it on my team for now though...

Currently trying to breed for a timid Cottonee (prankster) with 31's in defence, special defence and speed. It's proving to be a little harder since this is the first time I've tried breeding for 31's in more than two stats.

Just to confirm: is defence less likely to be inherited?

@Tarkana: If you give the Pokemon you're breeding with the Defence you want inherited, give it a Power item, the one that boosts Defence EV's. Same with any other stat, give it that stat's Power item.

I'm sorry, but your post is under 4 sentences and 40 words, and thus you receive a strike. You could have easily just sent a VM to Tarkana, or a PM, but if you're going to post here, at least make it worthwhile. Thanks.

Nothing new here on the homefront, still no sign of any breeding. Just a note, PEOPLE LENGTHEN YOUR POSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's really not that hard to do it, and the last few strikes have been because of it. These rules are to keep this place from being constantly spammed, like "I likes breeding" or, "Eggs are fun", or whatever, it's still too short. 1)Post the COMPLETE pledge.
2)Try to make longer posts. This just barely slipped by the radar due to the pledge.

As for me, I still haven't gotten around to hatching those 9 Boxes if Tepig eggs. I have other things that I'm working on, including lots of schoolwork.

Happy Breeding, and please please please try to lengthen your posts, people~

I haven't been on here alot, but i thought it would be a good time to post. I got soul silver a couple of days ago and i am really far. I breeded for multi abra. I was trying to get a calm one but i haven't yet.

I also tried to breed my starter but I am still waiting on the egg to hatch. Prob doing two task at once is not helping. Anyway, hopefully i can get both and then try on breeding for a while.

OMG, I lost the Pledge! Anyway, here I come (again):

I, Pokémon Trainer Xande, hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them

I want to join this club because, Sunday, I were breeding for a Adamant nature OR shiny Riolu. Then I realized that breeding is funny, at least funnier than Soft Resetting, and I wanted to join you guys. No Riolu Shiny AND/OR Adamant yet...

I came for this club after accidentaly clicking in the link in of one of the Co-Owners 's posts. And I was a little curious of what this club was about. After all, most Shiny Hunters are in this club too (at least a good number of them). And one more thing: You can give me a strike for my wrong pledge (even because I lost it. And, do WE (yes, I 'm refering myself as a member without getting approved) have a mascot? I think we should have, and it MUST be Chansey 's line. Everyone hates it, but it is a pokémon that has ANYTHING with eggs.

Na, I won't give you a strike. I totally understand the copy/paste problems on the computers. Besides the fact that there is no rule that says that I have to give you a strike for the wrong pledge, I don't feel it's nescisary (spelling?). I don't like to give out strikes unless I feel it's required and deserved. We're happy to have you here! And maybe we should have a mascot. I tossed around suggesting it, but the SHC seems to have it in for Landorus's club on PokeCommunity, and I don't want to become enemies with their co-owners, since I like them and don't want any bad blood between us, so to speak.

So for me, not much breeding going on, since I'm working on a shiny badge quest and a Community RE hunt.

As for the circuit, I'll be discussing things with Pucca and Admin. I'll look up some egg move chains (I lost the website along with the rest of my Favorites bar D: ) and nobody seems to know any :P

Happy Breeding! You'll likely only hear from me if I need to Strike/Reply to a post.

Finally I have more time to hunt and i've colelcted a total of 540 more Axew eggs which when hatched will put my MM total to 1690 eggs.

So out of that 540 I have hatched... 55 eggs. -_-

I really hope it shines in this pile. If not my next lot will take me over 2000 eggs... which I do not want.

The circuit is nearly there... as it has been for ages... but it really is!

Good luck guys, happy hunting!

OK, sorry to spring this on you all with this short notice, but the Pokemon Breeding Circuit will be beginning at midnight (Pacific Time Zone) on Wednesday, May 11, 2011. The legs and rules are as follows:

Rules

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~
You need to post your OT, name, and ID number before you can participate in the circuit, and if you do not, any Pokemon bred are automatically not able to be used for this circuit. Good luck to you all!
I would like to participate in the circuit, using my White game.
Name: Gublet
ID: 01590
Do we have to post our targets in advance, or can we just post them as we get them?
Anyway, as far as breeding goes, I've been MMing for dark pulse deino for a month as of tomorrow -.- I'm getting just a little annoyed about it, but I refuse to give up on it!
My next shiny target on White will be Landorus, but I will probably do all circuit targets except MM first.
Pucca_ness
10th May 2011, 8:42 PM
Ahhh i'm glad that the circuit that Doug and I worked so hard on is up!
I'll be participating, here are my ids for all games that I play on.
Diamond - Lauren - 05935
SS - Lauren - 58701
Plat - Lauren - 26967
White - Lauren - 59140
HG - C:am - 02320
I won't be dual hunting, I can't stand that but i'll be using different games for different things. I'm undecided on what games for what task until I figure out what pokemon I want to hunt for each catergory.
For Eggstatic for New moves i'll either do the Marill with future sight or see what I can do with a Relicanth since I love Relicanth.
IV got the right NATURE - I'm thinking Riolu for this one since I got one with good egg moves in a trade, having it with thr best nature and iv would be good.
I think i'll hatch a Mantyke with the Insense
My next MM hunt. Think I'll go for Horsea or Cottonee.
This is a rough list. I'll most likely not be breeding on my White since I want to get through the game after I get shiny Axew. I might change my mind if I really want that shiny Cottonee but i've wanted a shiny Kingdra for ages now.
Good luck guys! This is the first circuit so it's not as complex as we could have made it but future additions or new circuits altogether will be more difficult.
Hope you all have fun!
Yes! We finally got the circuit done. Pucca and I worked really hard on this. If it's a success there will be more in the future! I'm also hoping that it gets our club a bit more buzz. Anywho, despite my having 5 DS Pokemon games, I'll be using only two of them due to 3 being at the beginning after I restarted them. So I'll be using Platinum for the first 4 legs and Black for the Masuda Method since I'm working on hatching my remaining Tepigs so I can fill a full 20 boxes with 600 Rufflet eggs. So without further ado, here are my targets!
Eggstatic for New Moves-An Iron Tail Patrat
IV got the right NATURE-An Adamant, 31 Attack IV Rufflet since I may get one from my MMing.
Volt Tackular Eggs-Volt Tackle Pichu with 20+ Atk and Spd IV's. Duh.
Incensant Breeding-Azurill? Whatever I have the Incense for.
Master of Masuda-Rufflet (or if I get one in the remaining Tepigs, then that.)
Oh, and 2 important notes:
1)DO NOT only post your targets for the circuit. Make your post about the circuit slightly more substantial.
2)For checking IV's, you have to use the daycare to raise your Pokemon to a checkable level. Otherwise you will gain EV's which will mess up your calculations.
And now my IDs:
Black-Doug-05576
Platinum-Doug-52592 (Only used if I decide to Dual Breed)
Happy Breeding, and Good Luck with the Circuit! Time to update my Signature.
Pucca_ness
Actually there's another way for you to check ivs. If you have Wifi go to the wifi battle in the pokecenter and go for lv 100 battle. All your pokemon will be put up to lv 100 so you can then check.
I'd recommend noting all pokemon in team from 1 - 6 then putting their natures next to them before going into the wifi battle room. You cannot check once in battle.
Also it's a LOT easier to just keep ones with the best characteristic
Often dozes off - possible 31 in hp
Likes to thrash about - possible 31 in atk
Mischievous - possible 31 in spatk
Capable of taking hits - possible 31 in def
Somewhat Vain - possible 31 in spdef
Alert to sounds - possible 31 in spd
Of course you can check the rest in this link.
http://www.serebii.net/games/characteristics.shtml
If you pay attention to this then you'll find it easier to find out ivs because you'll know which ones to keep or not.
This is of course all up to you as a breeder/player to use this method but I find it useful.
Eggstatic for New Moves - Charmander that:
*Gets Dragon Rush from Aron;
*Gets Bite from Mudkip that gets it from Bagon/Shelgon/Salamence
IV got the right NATURE - Good Pichu, here we go!
Volt Tackular Eggs - Pichu with Volt Tackle. Pretty retoric huh?
Incensant Breeding - Azurill seems nice. I already got lots of them in 2009. Too bad I deleted my save... Just joking!
Master of Masuda - Will try Charmander.
My Games:
*Platinum:
Name: Xande
ID: 37448.
And, I 'm going to start to search for good Egg Moves. It is quite hard to find out in a Wi-Fi battle what your moveset is if you have Egg Moves and don 't use Smogon 's Movesets.
Hey ive just recently become very interested in breeding after getting a very lucky 31 attack, defense, speacial attack and speed shroomish. Ive also managed to breed 31 IV Adamant and Jolly Gibles and the same with Lucario. I however have not developed patience for masuda method but may RNG.
Current Goal - pass down IV's from shroomish to machop (any breeding path help would be appreciated)
Question - Is RNG breeding frowned upon by you guys?
Pucca_ness
12th May 2011, 12:40 AM
Welcome to the Club addman999! Some nice finds by you there.
I'm not sure if RNG is frowned upon. I personally do not use it because it's like tailoir making a pokemon without as much effort as getting it the normal way. It's like manipulating the game code too much.
I don't know a lot about it though so you'll have to see what Admin and doug say on the matter. For me though I personally frown on it. I can see why people use it though and that's fair enough. Not everyone has the time to do it normally.
And as for the Machop and Shroomish. They do not share egg groups. You'd need to find a pokemon that is in both fairy/plant and human shape eggs groups to breed with the Shroomish to pass the ivs then pass to the Machop.
Cacturne is in both Plant and human shape egg group so you could use that.
So breed Cacturne with Shroomish/Breloom until all desired ivs are passed to a Cacnea then breed that offspring with Machop/choke/champ until it has the ivs.
Hope that helps!
Well, this is my opinion: I now dislike RNG, but there was a time when I wanted to learn to do it. I understand how you feel, and I know it's really difficult, but since I learned how to shiny hunt/MM, I now frown upon it. I understand where you're coming from though. I would say that if you want to, go ahead, but if you join the Circuit (and Admin/Pucca can say otherwise, since this is just what I'd say) don't RNG the targets. Again, if the others feel differently about that I'll just delete this. But whether you RNG or not, welcome to our fine club! :P
So I now have 4 boxes of Tepig left. After that I'll go to my secret MM target that I am oh-so-excited to get. Adamant Everstone better work though, since a +SpA nature or -Atk nature would absolutely suck. He's only good with his Atk, and I want him to be competitive. I hope it shines fast, though I'm not expecting it to shine in the 600 eggs I'll be boxing.
So there's an update! The Master of Masuda leg will be my first target.
By the way, I've been sorta advertizing the Circuit discretely in some of my posts :P
Happy Breeding!
addman999 I'll have to give you a strike for not following the rules. You have posted less than four sentences/40 words. I did tell you via pm to read the front page which states this rule.
Also the Circuit was posted a few posts above your intro post.
May I suggest that the circuit is put on the front page, perhaps the first post so new members can see it right away and so it's easy for current members to find it.
No results on my Axew yet. Got about 360 eggs left to hatch.
EDIT: I just realised I never answered my own questions back on page one!
What first attracted you to pokemon breeding? The idea of getting different and cool moves onto a pokemon via breeding.
What was the first pokemon you bred? (In game egg events do not count, they have to be from pokemon you own) Well... It's hard to say since I would have done it over ten years ago in my Silver version, I do remember breeding an Eevee to have as an Espeon and a Chansey to evolve into Blissey. I bred them because I thought they'd like me a bit more from the start and it would be quicker to evolve them. The Eevee evolved fairly quickly but the Chansey... Lv 50!!!!!!!!
What was the first pokemon you bred for a specific reason? (Nature/IVs/Ability/shiny/egg moves etc) A different Eevee for my first EV trained team. I never got the modest one I wanted but I did get a Hasty mischevous one :P
Have you found an unexpected gem while breeding? This can include female starters, shinies, flawless/great ivs, stuff like that as long as it was unexpected. Egg moves I never expected to go onto the offspring and my shiny Charmander which hatched on the 11th egg.
Why do you breed pokemon? for ivs, natures and shinyness.
What's the best/favourite pokemon you've bred? My favourite is a tie between my shiny Charizard and shiny Dratini! I think they're both great.
What's the longest it's taken to get your desired offspring? Right now it's taking over 1300 eggs for this shiny Axew to appear. And it's taking ages for my desired Scyher.
Added by MewLover360
Have you ever hatched a shiny? So far two! Charmander and Dratini
Have you managed to breed a starter? Yes many hundreds of Squirtle and a shiny Charmander are top of that list. I think i've bred every starter apart from 5th gen ones.
In the New Member Department, welcome to the Club, Zuzu14!
In the Breeding Department, I have been boxing up Rufflet. I just started, and I didn't want to post until I could safely say that in the 300 hatched Tepigs there was no shiny. That means once I box up the 20 boxes, I'll bring my egg total since my last shiny by MM to 720 Rufflets, and 1020 total eggs. I'm hoping for a shiny in this massive batch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the Circuit Department (liking my Serebii immitation?), my first leg is the Masuda leg. It's the hardest one, and is almost guaranteed to be in every Circuit we do, even if it is tweaked (i.e. egg move shinies).

Then I'll figure out what I'm doing for the rest of the circuit afterward.

Happy Breeding everybody!

Hullo guys! I have been storing up Rufflet eggs... Sorta. I haven't had ANY time for Pokemon with 5 hours of homework for the past 3 nights. I have 6 boxes stored up at the moment.

I have been noticing that eggs hatch really fast with a Litwick up front and a non-female Pokemon in the daycare. Hopefully the shiny will be a fast hatcher so I can stop this madness. AND IT MUST BE ADAMANT! Otherwise I'll need another.

I can't wait for Pucca to get a shiny Axew! Good luck guys!

Happy Breeding~

EDIT: @ Post Below, I know. I mean it takes so long to get an egg that they hatch before I have a full party.

How fast they hatch do not depend on what pokémon you leave in the daycare. Each species has a specific amount of steps, or egg cycles, that need to be completed before it hatches. You're right about litwick though; all pokes with the flame body ability in your party will reduce the amount of steps by 50 %
You can check just how fast your shiny will hatch by checking how many egg cycles it takes to hatch that species. Just go to bulbapedia or serebii:)
(practical information as, if your only motive is to hatch a shiny, you should really pick the species carefully as some take painfully long to hatch, like beldum, while some are extremely fast, like magikarp.)

Just got my fresh batch of 540 Axew eggs and hatched five. No luck yet. Watched Piranha 3D as I collected... shoddy movie is shoddy.

I noticed something about the babies. They have the egg moves Scary Face, Slash, Dragon Claw, False Swipe but the japanese male is at lv 98. So that means it would have a different set of moves which would affect the egg moves of the babies.

Now I thought the moves got deleted as they levelled up in Daycare, they sure did in 4th gen but when I had scraggy in before I got my japanese Axew the egg moves of the babies differed as the Scraggy leveled up.

What is going on here? Is it a glitch or is it normal? Also if it's a glitch is it possible that it is stopping my Axew from shining?

I haven't taken the male Axew out of DC to check it. I may do that now that I have my max egg number stored.

EDIT: The matter has been cleared up! It's all good.

Welcome Dialga6! I hope you have fun in our little club and hatch lots of lovely pokemon during your time here!

I've got nothing new to report here, except the egg move thing wasn't a glitch the moves do not update until the pokemon is taken out and put back into the daycare.

That's certainly a good thing if you're breeding for certain egg moves. 4th gen still needs careful egg watching when breeding for egg moves.

Happy hunting guys!

I, $h1ny Hunter, hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them. I am really starting to love breeding. I have been trying to masuda method for a shiny Munna for about 2 weeks now, but not all that consistently. I've hatched about 620 eggs already and I can't wait for this one to shine already. It would be my first masuda method shiny so I'm excited. I've also been working on getting egg move pokemon for the past few days. I'm not completely sure that this combination is truly possible, but I've been trying for a Scraggy with the moves Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Drain Punch, and either Ice Punch or Dragon Dance I haven't decided yet.

Welcome to the club, $h1iny Hunter! Glad to have you! I've seen you around other threads before. Also glad this place is getting members.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, for the main reason I posted: Whilest breeding for a shiny Rufflet (up to 240 eggs, 540 since my last completed hunt), I completed another leg! IV Got the Right Nature! is complete! I believe since nobody else has completed a leg, I'm in the lead. I checked through 1 box for Adamant Rufflets, narrowed it down to the Sheer Force ones, and looked through those 9 for ones with Attack IV characteristics. 5 remaining, I went to the IV guy in Gear Station to have them evaluated. 3 of the 5 had perfect Attack, so I picked the one with the higher Special Attack stat since it was the only one that differed. So here he is: 31 Attack IV, Adamant Rufflet!
Ah, hurray, here it is, it's been quite a while since I posted here last. My most recent breeding success was a DW male eevee. The little guy had a timid nature, and the IVs; 31/14/20/28/31/31. I finished EV training the little beast with the set 252Hp/4Def/252Sp and evolved it into an espeon with the moveset Psychic, Shadow Ball, Light Screen and Reflect. I've tested it in Wi-Fi and while it makes a great dual-screen pokemon, it can surprisingly still pack a punch. Good luck to all of you still breeding
Congrats on both Doug and JynxMidnight on their lovely IV babies!
As for me... nothing. Not a sausage. Especially Axew shaped sausages. I might be interested in a DW female Eevee if any are going spare. My DW Espeon turned out Quiet with perfect speed <_< and below 10 for SpAtk. Wow... Also it's male which is useless for passing abilities.
Good luck guys! Lets keep the club active!
You're welcome to my batch of Eevees if needed Pucca ness! =D Currently breeding eevees without an everstone to see what natures I get, while I also exchanged the father. I was originally using a high IV ditto but swapped for a vaporeon with wish, so the eevee offspring would inherit the eggmove. The nice thing is, since the female is the DW cafe eevee event, not only does it have the DW ability but is also Japanese, so I'm continuing to breed in hopes of a shiny encounter.~
Hey guys. I've still been breeding for a shiny Munna and this hunt has lasted well over 3 weeks already which is way longer than I expected for it, but maybe my expectations were set too low... Anyway, Jynx is there any way that I could get my hands on a female DW eevee since you are breeding quite a few now. Let me know if you want something for it.
And I agree with Pucca_Ness guys we have to keep this club more active so it doesn't die. We should have a contest or something to pump in the intensity of competitive breeding!
JynxMidnight
2nd June 2011, 2:09 AM
Ooo, a contest sounds like a ton of fun in my opinion, we'll have to discuss amongst one another what kind of goal we should set that we can all move towards in competition. Still hunting for eevee, not really sure how many eggs I've gone through. XD And yes! I'll PM you $h1ny Hunter, there's 4 female DW eevees to choose from right now. I think natures are brave, lax, gentle and modest. I'll get to that now, and good luck on your hunts everyone!
Well... in terms of contests Shiny Doug and I worked really hard on the breeding circuit, it would be nice if you'd give it a look. ;) See what you think!
And JynxMidnight You can expect a PM regarding that Eevee =3 I'd love a good natured DW Espeon someday with good ivs. Espeon is one of my favourites.
Speaking of the circuit...
I changed my MM hunt to Axew because it was taking sooooooo loooonnnngggg, I think I deserve the little guy and to have him make my MM leg complete!
As can be seen he is Adamant natured! which is amazing but he does not have Mold Breaker which is a shame but I think i'm very lucky to have an Adamant shiny Axew! ^3^
Also I'm not far enough in game to find out ivs so we'll have to wait and see what they are like!
Next one i'll go for is the Pichu one, nice and easy after such a slog of a hunt. <.<
Congratulations on the shiny adamant axew! I'm still looking for a shiny eevee, which is taking a while, but it helps to keep breeding, because now I have a really nice batch of various nature eevees with wish and several high IVs. Also, I just recently noticed the circuit, as I only recently came back from a break due to work. I'll definitely take place in it! It works out too since I'm trying to MM for this eevee with wish. =D Anyways, good luck to all on their hunts and hatching.~
I bug pro hereby acknowledge that i have read the rules of sppf club pokemon breeding clubs rules and hereby agree to abide by them.
I would like to be a member as breeding seems quite fun (and important).
I am also a bit new to this whith breeding but I hopefully soon get the hang of it.
My first target would be a timid shelmet whith shell armour.
When I get what ivs is I might bread for them to.
I hope I will learn a lot!
Well, I hatched another batch of eggs today and still no shiny bold DW eevee with wish. I'm not giving up though! =D I've gotten some really good eevees out of this, including a newly hatched bold DW female with pretty decent IVs (31 in defense and speed). The next pokemon I'll breed for may be a tank style tyranitar or a stall DW tropius... since I tend to lack a lot of defensive pokemon. Hello bug pro! Good luck with breeding your shelmet. And I believe a nice move set might look like this...;
Accelgor, Timid
Item: Life Orb?
Moves:
Bug Buzz
Focus Blast
Giga Drain/Hp Ice
Spikes
Evs should probably be the standard 4Hp/252SpAtk/252Sp
Other moves you could try and use together are Yawn, Recover, or U-Turn
Maybe another set could be more bulky with;
Yawn
Recover
Bug Buzz
Focus Blast
So you can sleep the opponent, recover from damage and use Bug Buzz and Focus Blast for damage
A pleasure to meet you too AnimeFinder! Breeding is a lot of fun and as mentioned extremely useful and self fulfilling when you're able to collect the pokemon you need on your own. If you need any help learning or have any questions, we're all happy to aide you. There's a circuit currently going on in the club, you can check the first post to see what you can try and breed for. I know Doug and Pucca Ness are trying to breed for shiny pokemon, as am I.
so jynx. as my first question, i want to learn about IV breeding. who's give to the child? or is just random as when u receive a pokemon? i know that we can only train EVs. but i also heard that u can hatch a flawless pokemon with rng or ( didnt tried. ) but.........can it be related to the parents?
JynxMidnight
4th June 2011, 4:42 AM
IVs are most certainly related to the offspring's parents, each egg received inherits IVs from both parents though the number from each may change from egg to egg. Of course, this means that both good and bad IVs will pass to the offspring at random, but there are always a couple of IVs that are generated randomly for the offspring without regard to the parents. I prefer not to confuse you though XD as I'm poor at explaining processes so I will direct you to a very helpful breeding guide that can do a better job, but if you have questions, don't be afraid to ask.
Guide: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85699
Also, beware, we have a word limit each post much reach each time you say something in the club. I don't know if it was at least 40 words or 4 sentences, but be careful not to get an infraction from short post.~
EDIT: As for RNG that's a whole 'nother story. I've yet to get myself to try and RNG for eggs, there's just something more fulfilling about getting the IVs right without having to use manipulation.
i will going to check. so, on 5th gen we can also transfer DW abilities eh? and do u do MM a lot like me? or just breed? and another question about IV ( i will read all the page tomorrow ) this FLAWLESS pokemon with 31 IV in all, can be possible doing with just breeding? or just using something more? like an item or a program? i've learn about all the possible Shiny comming. and MM is a breed process. so, i can have a good shiny pokemon just with breed right? and i heard about it a litle fast. MOTHERs pass Nature and Ability ( 40% chance to happen ) and Fathers transfer their Moves. am i correct?
JynxMidnight
4th June 2011, 7:00 AM
I never mentioned my successes in the Breeding Circuit other then my desperate attempts to MM eevee. So here some are! I've got a few recent hatches that followed the bellow requirement:
IV got the right NATURE - Hatch a Pokémon with an Everstoned nature and a perfect IV, the IV has to benefit from the nature.
Here they are!:
http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/4899/espeonstuff.jpg
The goal behind espeon was to have something that could throw up shields and do some preliminary damage in a fight, this guy knows Light Screen, Reflect, Psychic and Shadow Ball.
IVs are: 30-31/25-27/19-21/29-31/30-31/31
http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/9471/dragonitestuff.jpg
The idea behind this dragonite, was for it to be a special wall, with multiscale and the EV spread given it does excellent against pokemon that rely on special moves to do damage. Roost + Multiscale + Leftovers is really quite annoying. Light Screen is there to buff special defense even more and Thunder Wave to paralyze foes. Dragon Claw was the prefered move for attack I gave D nite
IVs are: 31/20-21/27-28/20-21/31/31
Yay =D
EDIT: Err, also, noob tiem but what exactly is a circuit? Are we just trying to attain goals? Or competing in some form?
Well, thanx for allowing me to be a member. My shelmet results so far=failure.
Its a bit tricky, but fun! And thanx for the moveset, it was really helpful.
But the search for the timid shelmet will go on, and then might a jolly drilbur?
However, I will tell you guys when the hunt is complete.
Yay! I have a modest shelmet, as it might be better due to his already epic speed.
Ive tried really hard for breeding a jolly drilbur. The first one was modest. The second one was hardy
And the third one I havent hatched yet. My target after this will either be a bold jellicent, or somethin else
I really need some kind of an wall but I dunno.
First of all a welcome to bug pro and Animefinder! Hope you guys have fun!
Although bug pro could you please merge your posts as double posting is not allowed. Just copy your second post onto the first then delete the second.
Congrats to Jynx on the Espeon and Dragonite, both are very good! Especially the Dragonite, VERY good ivs on that one =]
Congrats to bug pro on the Shelmet, it's a good pokemon!
Also the Circuit is just a name given to a set of challenges or "legs" that are completely optional but should be fun to complete! They can be done in any order.
So far ShinyDoug, JynxMidnight and myself have completed one leg each (if I am forgetting someone then please tell me)
ShinyDoug - Master of Masuda
Pucca_ness - Master of Masuda
JynxMidnight - IV got the right NATURE.
@AnimeFinder - Yes you can get a flawless poké via RNG in the wild and via eggs but 1. This is a Pokémon Breeding club therefore we post our bred pokemon not ones found in the wild unless it relates to breeding in some way and 2. As a rule we do not allow RNG'd pokemon for the circuit as it is unfair on those who do not know how or do not agree with it. The general consensus is that RNGing is frowned upon here.
Feel free to learn and do it outside of the club activities! =]
OH one more thing to do with the circuit It was decided as a rule that if you take part in the circuit you must post all your OT name and numbers for the files you'll be hunting on. This is to ensure no trading has occurred to get the leg target.
Yay! Drilbur hatched. Even more yay! Its jolly! Man im really lucky. And my next target will be an yamask.
Not sure bout the name of the nature. It however boosts spdef in cost of atk.
My idea would be this.
Lefties
Toxic
Protect
Hex
Psychic
Well back to topic! Sorry bout dping but I didnt know about that button I still have a lot to learn it seems like.
Would be fun to here what they search for in pre gen5 gens! I are planning to breed me an Calm Yamask. Whith its great defence and puny attack, -atk + spdef is quite good for it. Well i report the results when i have the results.
Hehe, I completed two more legs of the circuit tonight, after being really productive, I have two pokemon bred for the legs;
Incensant Breeding - Hatch a Baby Pokémon through Incense Breeding
Eggstatic for New Moves - Hatch a Pokémon with an Egg Move(s) and a TM. BOTH have to be moves that are not normally learnable. You can decide what Pokémon and moves however if they do not meet the standard they will not be counted. So no easy stuff. ** Egg moves must be chain bred.
Here's pictures!
http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/8820/munchw.jpg
Just a Munchlax bred by giving a Snorlax a Full Incense, it even got curse!
http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/8871/cottonee.jpg
Not to be a whimp but Cottonee w/ Switcheroo was annoying XD Had to teach my Hypno Switcheroo with a Heart Scale, breed it with a female Cacnea, hatch a male and breed it with female Cottonee, which I guess was the whole point of the leg but goodness, takes some time for sure.
EDIT: Sigh, microscopic pictures do not work for me, let me try to fix that
EDITEDIT: There! Much better
EDITEDITEDIT: OH NOES, I didn't realize the TM couldn't be a move the pokemon can learn eventually through level up
*headesk*
EDITx4:
Alright, now I bred it with Toxic since Cottonee cannot learn that leveling up
Wow Jynx! You've already got at least 3 legs of the circuit on me! I'm still attempting the Masuda Method shiny leg while going for my shiny Munna. I've hatched well over 780 eggs now and to be honest I'm getting a little bit frustrated and bored of seeing this many pink/purple Munna's, but I will keep going because I want that cool green one so badly. And again, congrats on the breeding everyone!
*Cups her face in her hands and sobs*
I just realized that you can't complete the Voltackular leg without using older games. Errr I traded everything over to my White version. XD; I'll just have to go catch a pikachu since I have about 7 light balls and breed. Hopefully I have at least a couple of high IV pokemon back there. Also, zero luck with eevees, still trying for a shiny. My only successful breeding news today is that I got a pretty cool Persian. I'll upload pictures later but it goes something like this:
Persian, Jolly 4Hp/252Atk/252Sp
IVs: 22/31/31/26/10/31
Ability: Technician
Moves:
Fake Out
Bite
Aerial Ace
Hypnosis
The 10 IV in SpDef made me cry a little, but it's not like Persian was meant to take hits anyways. Either way, back to my attemps! And good luck to all~
Anyway hope everyone has fun!
EDIT: Welcome millarc3005!
OH yes there was something I had to show you guys. Ever since Hatching my Axew and reaslising I had over 300 eggs left to hatch I had a strange feeling that something would come of the second batch of 210 eggs (540 in totoal 330 were collected on one day without turning the game off and 210 were collected in the same manner the next day).
I rarely get a shiny feeling and never one as strong as this but I was on the mark!
http://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx1/Nya7/GEDC2087.jpg
"What's this Pucca_ness? You're just showing us your shiny Axew."
Well Yes I am but the difference is that it is my SECOND shiny Axew!
I am blown away! TWO SHINY AXEW in pretty much one big batch! Well technically two as I explained but still! It's lucky enough that I got a shiny at all especially one with a good nature but two? TWO? I very VERY rarely see this happening.
But as for the nature and ability of this new one? Well here's the pics! And also evidence that it is infact a different Axew.
http://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx1/Nya7/GEDC2088.jpg
See Alert to Sounds for the characteristic rather than Mischievous for the first.
And YES see that? Adamant! Two Adamant shiny Axew!
http://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx1/Nya7/GEDC2098.jpg
*Squeals* Mold Breaker!!!!!! What I desired the most has come to me a shiny, Adamant, mold breaker Axew!
Here's the first one for comparison
http://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx1/Nya7/GEDC2086.jpg
Here's both in battle together with a bit of sparkle!
http://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx1/Nya7/GEDC2090.jpg
I still cannot believe it. How lucky did I get, seriously this is so unexpected... even if I did have a feeling it would appear, i'm still stunned it did!
As with the first one I cannot check IVs accurately yet.
Oh and this baby appeared on egg number 2153, which was 289 eggs after the first one on 1864.
Holy Crap!
Whimsicott, Bold 252Hp/252Def/4SpDef
IVs: 31/23/31/31/22/19
However as a co-owner of this club I have to give you a strike for not posting more than 40 words there =/ I hate striking people (especially after recieving a complement) but I have to. D:
ShadowFox11 same to you, sorry but that is less than 40 words. Also to help you there are trade forums here on Serebii I'm sure someone can trade you a foreign ditto there.
Although I maintain that Dittos are not the best way to go. Using pokemon in the same egg group and from different cartridges is the best way to go. Even better is to use pokemon from the same species. It really makes the egg production faster.
Of course things like Beldum and Magnemite need Ditto as they are genderless. :P
Thanks again for the lovely comment they really do make me smile =D I'm also glad I can inspire some people to keep trying.
Hello everyone! I would love to join this club because I've ALWAYS loved and preferred breeding Pokemon to battling them ever since I started playing Diamond/Pearl after a long period of time of not playing/watching Pokemon. I guess breeding/hatching eggs has always been more interesting for me...especially ever since I heard about the Masuda Method. I REALLY started to get into Pokemon Breeding after I heard about it. But due to my impatience at times I've only just become successful at it. Finally hatching two Shiny Bulbasaurs in a batch of 637 Eggs. I've actually started a little project "Miss Masuda Method" to hatch all possible breedable Pokemon Shiny. If you want to check out the Bulbasaurs, here's the video:
Thanks to millarc for the banner i'm sure Admin will add it to the front page soon, once he sees the post.
Guys you really have to watch then length of your posts those are a bit too short. The rules are there for a reason.
I am glad the club is a little more active! I'm planning on doing the Volt Tackular Pichu leg of the circuit in the next day or so. College is so busy so it's difficult for me to find the time.
Also i've been playing through White now that I have my Haxorus and i've been absorbed by it so breeding has been cast aside for now.
I got a shiny Snorunt from breeding!
31/31/31/31/31/31 female
It took 2,345 eggs
Congrats WindStorm on the snorunt but I have to strike you for the short post!
I've still not gotten round to Pichu :p But I have my set up for my next MM hunt which is for Tirtouga. Although now thinking about it I might try to give it some egg moves for it to qualify for another leg. What egg moves though hmmm I will need to research!
I've also recently tried breeding starters in White for a female as I have a Japanese Oshawott, Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile, al of whom I wouldn't mind hunting for in future... However I gave up as Ditto breeding takes a pain amount of time to do. Two batches of Oshawott and Bulbasaur and still no female.
Good luck guys and keep on breeding!
Sorry for not being around too much. I haven't had much time. I'm rotating my MM hunts to keep it interesting, and currently racing my neighbor for a Scraggy. However, they aren't normal Scraggys! They know chain-bred elemental punches! I first got ahold of a male Medicham from Platinum. I used the move tutor to make it remember the punches. I bred it with a female Buneary as a breeding bridge, and then with a female Scraggy with an everstone for a male, Adamant, elemental-punching Scraggy! However, in order for it to qualify for a leg it needs to also be bred for a TM, which I'll do afterward. First is MMing, and speaking of which, I'm at 667 total eggs. 302 Tepig, 305 Rufflet, 30 Roggenrola and 30 Scraggy.
Happy Breeding!
Ok I'm going to quit this. I am just not very interested in this and the whole short post thing where you have to post a large amount...doesn't agree with me. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Also looking at the front page it says no smergle or ditto. I don't use smergle from breeding but I always use ditto for my shiny pokemon so that means I am not suitable for this
I, Sora, hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them.
Whoo! Breeding! one of the few things I'm good at. Right now I'm just about to beat Black, I just need to grab my trump card at the McDonald's giveaway event. I haven't done much breeding in Black due to the small pool of 'mon I have to choose from but once I beat it I'll be going crazy trying to breed up some egg move Pokemon. I kinda like not having Ditto to fall back on, it makes it much more challenging.
If I have Wifi out here (which is unlikely) and once I beat my Japanese copy of Black, I'd be happy to trade some Japanese Pokemon. I wouldn't count on it for now though since Wifi is a little scarce.
Oh, forgot something. I struggle majorly with IVs. Is there an easy non-math heavy way of figuring out IVs?
Pucca_ness
20th June 2011, 10:28 PM
Sorry to see you go WindStorm :S I didn't make the rules but I have to uphold them.
Welcome to new member Sora =] and yes that's exactly why we decided Dittos weren't allowed for the circuit = more challenge. You can use Dittos outside of the circuit or if you cannot access wifi, just let us know.
Also I forgot to add, you can get a rough idea of IVs by looking at the characteristics of the pokmeon. So for example if it says "Alert to Sounds" then there is a chance it will have a 31 IV in speed. Use the search function on Serebii to get info of them all. Also the iv calculator on this site is very easy to use and useful for getting ivs, just make sure you know what evs the pokemon has. There's also a character in each game who will tell you what the pokemon's best stat is and how good it is but it will not give a number, just whether it is very good, fantastic or cannot be better.
Anyway I have completed the Vot Tackular Pichu leg of the circuit! The pichu can be any nature which is good because i've had to use my platinum for it which means no IV passing via power items!
I'll get pics up later but here's the details
Pichu
Male
Lauren - 26967
Lax nature
Jun. 20, 2011
Somewhat Vain
Yes it had Volt Tackle, the pics will prove this.
I levelled it up to LV 12 with my 11 rare candies then reset to save them but here are the rough IVs
14/24/15/25/31/31
The attack ranges from 20 to 28 in the scale as it's still too low a level to make an accurate measure of them but it's still on/above 20 which I think qualifies!
Next i'm doing the Insencent Breeding!
That is me done 2 legs now!
I've decided that I want my Tirtouga to have better IVs/nature rather than egg moves so i've stuck with a Brave natured passer... or is it Lax still? Erm i need to check my breeding pair!
Good luck guys!!!! Keep posting!
I, roloox, hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them.
Hi everyone, i´d like to start my introduction with the somewhat forgotten introduction questions:
What first attracted you to pokemon breeding? The egg moves that cant be learned in any other way
What was the first pokemon you bred? Rattata
What was the first pokemon you bred for a specific reason? I breeded two Pikachu with a Light Ball to get a Pichu with Volt Tackle (but since at the time I didnt know about the IVs, its stats ara kind of random.
Have you found an unexpected gem while breeding? An "adamant" and Quick tempered" Rattata with great Att. IV from the parent (Primeape), unfortunatelly with no egg move
Why do you breed pokemon? For getting egg moves, selective IV value pokemon and just relaxing. Also I dream of discoverin an egg move thats not registered on Serebii XD
What's the best/favourite pokemon you've bred? SNEASEL!!!
What's the longest it's taken to get your desired offspring? Three weeks and about 100 eggs to get a female, modest Eevee with a characteristic that encourages sp.def and sp.def IV from the parent (a hardy female flaeron with a docile male slakoth). YAY!
Have you ever hatched a shiny? No *sob*
Have you managed to breed a starter? Yes, two bulbasaur, one turtwig, two torchic, one treecko, one totodile, one cindaquil and a squirtle (all males)
Also, I´d like to join this club because i love breeding when I get bored of battling and stuff. In a somewhat related notice I decided to specialize on the ice type, so i breeded an entire ice type team with some egg moves and elevated IV values. Ill tell you more about the team on later posts... maybe Hope you accept me.
Weeew... That was a long post for me...
I, AquaRegisteel, hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them.
I'd like to join this since breeding has fascinated me, but i admit I haven't bred that much. My most recent breed was 2 months ago and it was an Air Slash Oshawott that needs EVing.
An intro Question:
Have you ever hatched a shiny? No, unfortunately.
Thanks to whoever accepts me!
Welcome to both roloox and AquaRegisteel! I'd love to welcome you both into a bustling hive of activity but our members have been rather quiet lately...
Be sure to check out the Circuit and feel free to discuss any breeding related topic!
I regret that I still haven't taken images of my Pichu, nor have I done a lot of hunting over the past few days, things have been a bit upside down lately.
roloox
26th June 2011, 1:30 AM
Wow, the thread is kind of quiet...
Well, as I said on my introduction I recently decided to specialize in the Ice type pokemon, wich would be irrelevant to this club´s forum if i hadn´t breeded every pokemon on my new team:
;215; female- Jolly (likes to relax) - Breeded from a female Wevile and a
male Meowth
Egg moves: Taunt, Bite, Fake out
;220; male- Adamant (Quick to flee) - Breeded from a female Swinub and
a male Primeape
;238; female- Calm (Often Dozes off) - Breeded from a Jynx and a Croagunk
Egg Move: Nasty Plot
;363; female- Timid (Quick to flee) - Breeded from two Spheals
;459; female- Quirky (Good preseverance)- Breeded from a Snover and a
male Lapras
Egg move: Mist
;133; female- Modest (Somewhat vain) - Breeded from a female Flareon and
a male Eevee
I breeded them in my SS version and I havent calculated the IVs yet because I´m on the process of EV training them, but Im sure Eevee has 31 IV on its sp.def because I used the power band on Faeron before breeding.
I´d also like to announce that I will try to complete the breeding circuit.
Hey, long time no post! *shot for terrible joke*
A warm welcome to all new members. Every person who joins means the potential for this place to actually have some activity instead of being the run-down, unloved place it is now. Show the club some love, people!
Currently looking to get my hands on a Female, DW Vulpix for breeding purposes. I'm trying to come up with a good moveset/nature/EVs. Can somebody who has an ounce of competitive skill (i.e. not me) tell me what they would reccomend? I checked Smogon but can't decide on a set. I'm thinking of double status, which would require egg move Hypnosis. Ideas?
Happy Breeding To All!
Hi, it seems I have not been active for a while, so I'm popping by to "show this club some love" as ShinyDoug warmly put it (actually not trying to be sarcastic here).
ShinyDoug, I don't which analysis for Ninetails you had a look at, but if you only checked the old DP one, you should definitely hang out here instead, seeing it's 5th gen and all: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83000
(sorry if I'm just posting the obvious, but I know it took me a while before I actually realized they were pre-posting the upcoming analyses).
So how should EV-train it basically really depends on how you want to use ninetails on your team, if you have one. I tend to have problems making out teams before starting breeding like crazy, so if I were you, I would go for something solid, like the specially offensive set or the specially offensive set w/life orb. To be honest, I think you'll be safe going for a timid one, seeing as ninetails is very frail, you're going to want to go first as often as possible. In my opinion, I would avoid hypnosis, as it will leave you pulling your hair out with frustration every time it misses, which is, well, too often. I would definitely go for WoW though, as it might also allow you to take a hit from an unboosted (not too strong) physical attacker. This again underlines how vital speed is, so I would go for timid, 252 speed, and then defensive or offensive, depends on how you like it;)
When it comes to me, well, I've just started my first MM-hunt... Solosis. The reason behind this is a little silly, but I always really loved the Reuniclus-line, both the normal and the shiny line. I was actually so obsessed about getting a shiny one that I even dreamt I encountered one! I already bred an extremely functional Calm Mind Reuniclus with 31/31/27/31 IVs in HP, Def, Sp.A and Sp.Def, but I sort feel like having a Trick Room set as well, and if I'm going to have another Reuniclus, well... I kind of want it to look a little different. Right now I'm stacking up nine boxes of hatched solosis, closing my eyes as they hatch and as I box them to increase the excitement. I'm a dork, I know... Praying that if I actually get one, it won't be adamant or jolly or something else useless.
Good breeding!
Hi everyone,
I´d like this post to be a show off of how much I´ve advanced onmy Ice only specially breeded team or MM shiny Sneasel hunt... but I have failed D:
However its not all just shame that I bring to this, our club, as I´d like to announce I managed to breed a Volt Tackle Pichu (although I´m not sure it has the ridght IVS, but if it does you will be watching it´s picture any day now) and the incense baby (a Munchlax)
Also I´d like to get a couple examples of the "Eggstatic for new moves" leg of the circuit, Ijust don´t get it lol
Pucca_ness
5th July 2011, 12:36 AM
We'll probably amend the new moves leg as it is confusing people but for now just keep breeding and if it has interesting egg moves i'm sure it'll fit the bill.
Sorry for the inactivity from myself, I had my laptop confiscated <.< Yes a 22 year old is being treated like a pre-teen in her own home! Gah!
Anyway I have the internet back so i'll be uploading my pichu pics soon... Remember I bred one for the leg... yeah it was ages ago now =/
Solfatara
5th July 2011, 1:45 AM
Sorry to hear about your laptop, Pucca. It strikes me how much I depend on the internet when playing pokémon, in contrast to how it used to be in the old days. When breeding, which is what I do the most, I constantly need to plan ahead for egg moves etc., check for IVs, and even make an overview of all the joints and parents involved in the process.
As for my shiny hunt, well, after about 900 eggs or so I decided to take a break. Shiny-luck has never been on my side, so maybe it's just not meant to be.
I have however been very lucky when it comes to my newest special-attackers:
My dream world nidoran finally turned out the way I wanted:
Hustle, timid, 26-27/31/28-29/31/31/31
With all the factors involved (nature 50 %, gender 50 %, ability 40 %), I could not have asked for anything better.
Today I hatched my final Dark Pulse Deino with an ekans from HG as its father:
Hustle, modest, 28-29/8-9/26-27/31/31/31
I just realized it looks rather similar to the nidoran IV-wise, apart from not having a 31 in attack (though I've breen randomly hatching a lot with 31 in atk, seems they just keep wanting a good attack stat for no apparent reason.)
I'm not sure if any of these fit into the circuit, but I'll have a look at it later. Right now I'm just obsessed with getting this not-really-established team together. I know I'll be including a lucario, and perhaps a toxicroak and a gyarados, but who knows? I also will be needing an excadrill for my sand team, so looking forward to that.
Oh, to finish off, I'm helping my brother out with is mono-fighting team, consisting of gallade, scrafty, lucario, heracross and infernape. I'll be breeding scraggy and riolu for him.
Good luck to everybody, whatever project you're currently engulfed in!
Hi, everyone, first of all I´d like to say it´s good to see Pucca back; then, down to our business.
I think it´s important to mention that i was one of the "confused people (or maybe only person)" about one of the circuit legs, however I think I have found a pokemon that qualifies for the eggstatic leg (a Sneasel with Reflect and Ice punch), and I am in the process of breeding it ( additionally to a flawless IV, jolly Sneasel with bite and fake out and a shinny Sneasel).
But I´m not advancing much on that breeding, since I also decided to start my White version with a "hit me with your best shot" challenge (wich includes a SR shinny Snivy and other five pokemon that have to be breeded with a perfect stat IV and at least one egg move) and I still can´t seem to get the shinny Snivy...
BTW, I still need three pokemon for the challenge, so I thought to ask for help here, since the challenge includes mainly breeding restrictions
Anyways, congrats to Solfatara on his Nidoran and Deino and good luck to all on your proyects!
Joy, new members! I guess one of the admins will have to accept you, but I can still say welcome, Magneto:)
Oh kay, first, to roloox: Thank you! And I don't mean to be pedantic or anything, but I happen to be a girl:) Seems you're breeding some nice sneasels. Only three of them... haha, I can tell you're a fan. When it comes to your challenge, it sounds a little impossible to me. With my shiney-luck, I would never even get started on it. Anyway, if you're looking for egg-move members, go for a recovery Jellicent with a 31 in (at least) defense. It will definitely make a nice team member. Teach it Scald. If you want it to look somewhat decent, make it Pringles-male.
As for me, I just bred another pokémon for what now seems to turn into a new team to blast through black once I'm done breedng and EV-training them.
This time around it was lucario, and I decided to go for a physical adamant one. I was having a bit of trouble getting an adamant female to breed with my smeargle, due to the gender ratio and bad luck. I first got five females of which none were adamant, until the sixth not only was adamant, but turned out like this:
Adamant, Inner Focus (with bullet punch, but I might remove that for crunch or stone edge)
Outstanding overall potential, IVs: 30/31/31/28-29/24-25/31
I can't believe my luck, considering it was bred with the worst parent so far, a female lucario with only decent overall potential and a single 31 stat in defense. I guess it was lucky along with smeargle, which packed 31 in HP, atk, sp.def and speed.
I'm so pleased to end up with a female one! Nickname: Lumine, after my friend A d v e n t.
Now I've only just started the long process of breeding an outrage garchomp for my subway team. Breeding dragons is such a pain D:
Oh well, enough about me, I'd like to hear how all of you guys are progressing!
Well, I hadn´t posted anything cause there was nothing to be said... till now
First of all, welcome to the club Titanium Magneto, and secondly, thank you Solfatara for the new team member (although I dont know what a Pringles-male is, or is that just the gender and nickname?), lately the 5th "Hit me with yoour best shot" challenge thread has been a bit too quiet so I still don´t have the full team
Now, on topic, after getting my new shinny Snivy, I got myself down to breeding again. Right now I´m hatching a lot of Azurril and Trubbish eggs for the challenge and aiming for that shinny sneasel (since I finally got a japanese Ditto). Afterwards I´m goind crazy with the MM to breed all my favoryte shinnies (Azumarril, Pineco, Eevee, the starters and others), so you might wanna take advantage of my newly found enthusiasm if you want me to hatch you a shinny
Also, I´m now on the hunt of a foreign Field Egg group pokemon to make the MM breeding more fit for the club´s policys (the no Ditto one in particular)
Hi, Billy Mays here! I am a breeder (as well as many other things) for the Sky Reaper clan, as well as a competitive battler. (although I don't end up battling much.) I am currently breeding for a Jolly Axew with Mold Breaker, but I heard that a certain co-owner has spare Jolly Axews and is from a different country than me, so I could try out MMing for a shiny Axew. If I could have one of those Axews Pucca I would really appreciate it. :)
Solfatara
12th July 2011, 8:09 AM
@Roloox: No problem^^ Pringles-male is just what I call the male because I think it resembles pringles (you know, the chips), a lot, hehe. So sure, why not name him Pringles? Up to you though!
@Magneto: There are several IV-breeding guides out there, and I would recommend checking out smogon in particular. I did also post a little(/long) IV-breeding guide a few months back that you might find useful. It is on page 5, here's the link: http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=488191&page=5
This was back in april, and I was not at all updated on the new genV breeding mechanics. Keep in mind that the everstone can now successfully be held by both pokémon, and that breeding with ditto, ditto does not have to be the carrier. I also must question if the IVs are passed down in the same manner (that about HP only being passed down the first round, and defense only the first and second), but I'm not sure about this. I still operate in about the same way as in this guide though, and still with some success:)
Welcome to both Titanium Magneto and Billy Mays.
Of course I can spare Axews, I still have a good box full. =]
I've been hatching Tirtouga eggs recently, 300 and no shiny so i'll need to get another batch on the go at somepoint.
I managed to find a Female Drought Vulpix on the GTS! I was so thrilled when I saw the ability! xD Then I look at the nature... it's timid! Then I talk to the iv man... Outstanding potential with perfect speed and HP. She's also Japanese! X_X How lucky did I get? I'm pretty sure she was from a batch of iv breed Vulpix as she was hatched and the ivs speak for themselves. Although she has been trained a little so I do not know the accurate ivs.
After Tirtouga shines i'll definately be using this to breed for a shiny Drought Vulpix but I think because this is a breeding club and not a shiny club i'll be getting some interesting egg moves on the babies and see how well the ivs turn out.
As for my other breeding projects... they've not really gotten anywhere due to me having other real life issues just now, nothing to worry about but they take up time.
Quite a lucky Smeargle Solfatara, I wish my Scythers were lucky like that :p Wow I've not looked at my Scythers since 5th gen came out oops.
It would be good if there was a mailing system in pokemon where you could send a pokemon to a friend code and they could pick it up when they go on their game. It would make it easier for people who can't trade easily because of timezone differences. Obviously you wouldn't be able to pick up the pokemon without trading something back and it would have to be one that the sender has selected before sending.
Sorry random thought.
Also, IV breeding is pretty fun too!
Well, first of all, as a non-leader I'd like to welcome to Ballisic Buizel (I share the grief over the closure of the Shinnies Hunters Club), hope you have fun in here and perhaps you could tell us about your current and past proyects?
And welcome to Andrew (It's nice to see you joining the rooster), to whom I already know as a breeder from another thread
Now that all that is clarified, I'm still on the hunt of a flawless and a shinny Sneasel (hopefully both on the same individual), I have hatched over 200 now, among wich are some very good egg moves an IV. Additionally, I have completed the challenge of breeding I took in an outstanding time (if I may say it myself) and will also start in a similar breeding proyect related only to Panpour
So wish me luck...
Welcome to the new members Ballistic buizel and Andrew lima.
I'll have to warn you both though that those posts are too short so don't be making them that short in the future. I'm being nice today because the amount of people who never post again after getting a strike from their first post is depressing. -_-
I'm glad things are a bit more active just now, but of course breedng takes time and since no spamming is allowed it's only natural that the posts be a bit far between each other.
No more shiny hunting clubs in the future ever, makes it seem like shiny hunting is bad or something.
Anyway, good luck roloox and everyone else keep up the good work!
Hi again!
Welcome to new members, hope you will update us on your projects, as we're very anxious to hear all about your best breeds, favourite pokémon to breed, etc. If you go back to the first page, there's an introduction you can fill out so we get to know more about you(:
Me, I just finished my last mon in my team of five: Gible. It does not have quite as good IVs as the others, but I decided to go for it after ages of nothing better, and Garchomp is not my absolute favourite anyway. Nickname: Acronotus, after the blacknose shark.
I'm very pleased with the finished team, and here are the final results:
;032; Metochi, M: Timid, Hustle
Outstanding, 26-27/31/28-29/31/31/31
:633: Salvini, M: Modest, Hustle, w/ Dark Pulse
Outstanding, 28-29/8-9/26-27/31/31/31
:529: Passanger, F: Adamant, Sand Rush
Outstanding, 30/31/31/20-21/26-27/31
;447; Lumine, F: Adamant, Inner Focus
Outstanding, 30/31/31/28-29/24-25/31
;443; Acronotus, M: Jolly, Sand Veil
Outstanding, 26-27/31/20-21/4-5/28-29/31
I just finished EV-training them, and I'm very much looking forward to going through black with these guys. I guess a little breeding break is coming up for me, unless I feel like taking up on that MM I had going on with japanese ditto and Solosis.
Can I just clear something up? Why are we talking as if MM-ing belongs more to shiny-hunting than to breeding? Roloox, you mentioned you should breed them with egg moves, since it's a breeding club, but is that really necessary..? MM'ing is definitely not my favourite part of breeding, but I'm just asking...
Good breeding[:
Well, as breeding projects go. I'm trying to assemble a "modern" Steven Stone team!
These are the Pokés I already bred for it so far!
Skarmory (Valkyrie) : 31 / 30 / 31 / 31 / 24 / 29, Impish
Pineco (Wall-E) 30 / 30 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 2, Relaxed
Ferroseed (Nutella) 31 / 31 / 28 / 13 / 31 / 4, Sassy
Baltoy (HelloDolly) 31 / 31 / 31 / 29 / 25 / 31, Bold
Riolu (Paprika) 31 / 31 / 22 / 31 / 24 / 31, Jolly
Beldum (HAL 9000) 31 / 31 / 24 / 18 / 25 / 31, Adamant
So what do you guys think of this team I'm constructing?
Alright thanks for accepting me into the club! I'm really not good at breeding which is why I wanted to join. Although, I have MMed before (my beloved shiny Axew after 18 eggs). I would like to learn how to IV breed. Do you need parents with flawless IV's if you want a pokemon with flawless IV's? I have Iris's Axew, which has flawless IV's, so if I used that to breed, would they be passed down even if the other pokemon breeding with Iris's Axew had crappy IV's? Thanks! - BB
@Ballistic Buizel: Only three IVs will be inherited down to the offspring. This means that with two flawless parents, every offspring will have a maximum of three 31 IVs, but this still leaves at least three stats to be randomized.
So, even with flawless parents, your chance of getting a flawless offspring is only about 0.00003, or 0,003 % if you like. (My calculations are (1/32)^3)
So when IV-breeding, you're still going to rely on luck A LOT, and expecting flawless pokes just will not get you anywhere. The clue still is to keep on breeding for good parents though, as this will drastically increase your chances of hatching something good. Keep in mind that it's random which parent it inherits from. It can inherit 2 stats from the mother and 1 from the father, or 3 from the mother, regardless of her IVs. A stat can also be inherited twice, so if you inherit a 31 speed IV from the mother, this can be overwritten by a 14 speed IV from the father. No shortcuts here. Only the stats passed down with a power item are secure, and that's only one stat per breed.
@Andrew Lima: That's a very nicely bred team you have there! I'm impressed with your results, and particularly your relaxed Pineco, which I presume you'll want to pack Gyro Ball?
It kind of reminds me of a Solosis I hatched that I might put on a trick room set, which looked like this:
Solosis, Modest:
31/x/31/31/28-29/0-1
I also had a few Quiet ones, but they didn't get the same low speed IV, so I picked this one in the end:)
As for the team, well, I'm sure you're very well aware of your big weaknesses, but I guess this is not exactly a team meant to do extremely well competitively (although I'm sure it could pull that off too, to some degree), but more of a hobby team, which in truth is what I like to do the most as well:) Have you EV-trained and evolved them? If so, how are they working for you? (:
Thank you, I really hope you will add me.
I am kind of new to the breeding process, well, if you count 6 months ago as "kind of new" XD. When I (by accident) put a compatible pair in the Pokemon Day Care. When I came by to pick them up, the man alerted me that there was an egg and I was really shocked. After that, I did some research and I am pretty good at breeding.
The team so far is working out pretty well! There is an obvious Fire weakness but Claydol takes care of them quite nicely unless it's a Houndoom. In that case, Lucario does quick work of those!
Nice Solosis! I bred a pretty great Adamant Guts Machop with these IVs.
31 / 31 / 30 / 9 / 31 / 9
I'm not too concerned about the Speed since Machamp isn't the fastest thing out there. He'll be perfect for a Choice Band set to switch into Will-O-Wisps or something!
King of Pichus I would love to accept you into the club you posted the pledge afterall.
But that was all you posted, the club needs a bit more substance from its members when they post so please edit it with a bit of info about yourself and your breeding efforts.
Wow you've certainly been busy guys Solfatara your team looks great xD
Can I just clear something up? Why are we talking as if MM-ing belongs more to shiny-hunting than to breeding? Roloox, you mentioned you should breed them with egg moves, since it's a breeding club, but is that really necessary..? MM'ing is definitely not my favourite part of breeding, but I'm just asking...
I was just trying to encourage a bit of variety as a lot of people focus on shiny breeding than other kinds. However as long as the club stays active I think any kind of breeding is great xD
@Andrew the team is looking good for an almost steel monotype, you've answered with the fire weakness so the Claydol is needed and as long as that Lucario is faster than most Houndooms you should have no problem. My only little niggle is Metagross as it is two types already being used but as it is a Steven Stone team it has to be in otherwise that's his signature poke out. Anyway, it's a beast pokemon and can hold it's own against almost anything. Esp if you get a magnet rise in there.
Keep up the good work guys ^o^ You're being awesome for keeping the club nice and active! It makes life easier for me too as the other two owners of the club have not contacted me or the club in quite a while =/
I, x_vandslaux_x, hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them. I really like IV breeding, it gives an edge in Random Matchup, and it's simple, contrary to what people seem to think. I also just think the egg hatching video in BW is cute. I also sometimes attempt to MM with my JP Ditto. I just think breeding is fun in general. I've even bred a Jolly Darumaka with 4 perfect IVs! (HP, Attack, Defense, Speed) If anyone wants a clone, it's UT. (unfortunately, I don't know how to clone.) I'm currently trying to breed a DW Vulpix, but I can't seem to find suitable parents..
I'm joining because I enjoy breeding, in fact all my best pokes come from breeding, I think it would be a good way to get even more interested. I have recently MMed both a shiny axew and a shiny rufflet, and am currently MMing for another rufflet as the other one was traded away as a birthday present. I have agreed a trade with someone to get a dream world poliwag and then I will begin trying to get one of those with, HP Steel and other than that flawless.
Also can I say that for the ditto rule, is it absolutely neccasary when your only foreign pokemon is a ditto? It is the only pokemon I can use so...
I have also recently chain bred both toxic spikes and baton pass onto a single venomoth. I was really happy when it appeared and I am pleased I did such a complicated breed.
why, you ask? well, I love breeding, and when i found out how to breed pokemon for egg moves, it got me into it.
Also, i was thinking about breeding pokemon in servine's egg group to get some pokemon with energy ball. And i breed some snivys with energy ball, since they learn it via TM.
P.S. i breed a bunery with shadow ball and Toxic! I dont know its ivs, but its highest stats are attack and speed, 13 Attack and 14 Speed repectivly, at lv.5, with a Lax nature, and it's Quick Tempered, with pokerus from when it was an egg, Leafeon was the Father for the egg moves, the Mother was a Lopunny.
Well thank you for the input! I tried making it as close to a team that Steven Stone would use. Although, I should also try to fit an Aggron in there somehow and maybe even a Lileep since he uses one of those.
I also bred this beast of a Frillish!
Bold Nature
Water Absorb Ability.
IVs: 31 / 11 / 31 / 31 / 29 / 30
It'll make for a fantastic wall! :)
Don't worry about it though it's just a strike, nothing to get upset about or anything. I hope you'll stay and not flee Q.Q
Keep up the good work guys (geez is that becoming my catch phrase or something?) Sorry i'm not very active on the breeding scene just now, I have a lot of real life stuff such as job hunting and family issues to keep on top of. I keep tabs with the club though because it's important to you the members.
If possible can you post up how many of the circuit legs you have completed? Just so I can collect the data easily and get it posted on my first post. It's been a little while since it has been mentioned so I think it would be good to see how everyone is doing.
If you are new to the club and are interested in the breeding circuit look at the first page where info on it is posted.
I have just now bred an Outstanding Hasty Chlorophyll Seedot on my SoulSilver. I'm doing this for Sucker Punch. Remind me never to do IV Breeding on 4th gen again. It's such a pain to check a baby's IVs! I'm currently IV breeding my Darumaka for even better. I plan for all of my Battle Subway team members (Ninetales, Darmanitan, Shiftry) to have good natures and Outstanding IVs. Just to show how long this one took, it took me a 3 hour car ride to breed 2 Outstanding Seedots. (Other one doesn't have perfect Speed, but has perfect Atk and SAtk, and is Mild, but has Chlorophyll. This one has perfect Speed.) And don't worry, I don't flee when I get a strike. I feel welcome here. Well, THAT put my box space on my SS down to 30 or so. And I've completed the one with IVs and benefitting Nature in the circuit several times. Masuda, now that's going to be the hard one. (No doing easy stuff like shiny Magikarp w/ Flame Body/Magma Armor and Hatching Power S and two Magikarps/Gyarados that get along very well?) I've bred 3 Outstanding pokes since I joined: 2 Seedots and a Vulpix. Outstanding pokes aren't very hard to breed if you breed for long enough.
And about the Steven Stone team: I don't think Steven had a Lucario. Heck, did Lucario exist? It doesn't exactly seem Steven-ish either.. Yeah, try getting in an Aggron and/or a Cradily.
EDIT: Just put the banner in my sig. (:
EDIT EDIT: Here's the 31 in Speed Seedot:
Seedot Chlorophyll
30/21/18/29/22/31
Hasty
It'll make an awesome mixed Growth sun sweeper! Yeah, I know, unimpressive Attack IV, strong special attack IV..
I would love to join this club, as I am an avid Pokémon breeder. As my name and signature suggest, I breed treeckos. While I do have a foreign Sceptile breeding with a local one, I am not really breeding for shinys, just for high quality treeckos. I would like to join this club in order to learn breeding strategies from other members, and share a few of my own. I would be honored if I were to be accepted into this club. Thanks!
Welcome to the club, Treeckos Awesomeness! I constantly check up on here for some reason. (: IV breeding in Gen IV is such a pain, don't you agree? I just bred a Seedot in my SS, and OMG it is such a pain that the IV guy only says one IV. I actually trained up an lv. 100 Sceptile before my game was corrupted.
Hi again! Wow, this place is crawling with new members now, this is great!
As painful as checking IVs in genIV is, it unfortunately is completely necessary at times. I felt it first when I had to breed for a Hippowdon, which HAD to be bred in genIV to really be functional at all (stealth rock), and also while breeding for a father for my Hydreigon, an ekans with dark pulse... Having to check the IVs multiple times can actually lead to some funny surprises, like with my Hippowdon. When the guy confirmed 4 31 IVs (HP, atk, def, sp.def), I was over myself with joy, but first when I came to genV I realized it had 31 i sp.atk as well.
Andrew Lima, it actually reminds me a bit of your machop, which is as good as flawless only with that 9 in speed (which I also don't think is going to be much of a problem to you, it looks amazing as it is now), and mine is the same only with 8 in speed. Since it's in the reasonably large ground group, it's extremeley useful for passing on any IV apart from speed.
Since I finished my team, I am in a bit of a limbo when it comes to breeding at the moment. I finished training them and tried them in the subway, and beat the subway leader at 49 battles on the first try with hippowdon, excadrill and garchomp. I know garchomp is kind of unfair, but I wanted something solid in the subway to beat the leader with. The team is working out great, and I really recommend IV breeding to all of you, and I'm very pleased to see that more and more people are giving it a try!(:
I think I might continue my shiny solosis hunt, but we'll see. Other than that, I have a Darumaka, a Ferrothorn and a Gyarados on my list, so we'll see if I can get around to that. Would you guys suggest an adamant or a jolly Darumaka?
(By the way, I really wish to breed a poison heal gligar, and last night in the dream world I encountered three gligars. Not one was female.)
Vandslaux
24th July 2011, 3:49 PM
Yeah, I know. I was forced to breed in gen IV to teach a Shiftry Sucker Punch. I might also try it in Random Matchup, seeing how a lot of people who use it don't IV breed. What's a better egg hatching spot than Goldenrod/Route 34? About the Gligars: lol that's happening to me with DW Bidoofs.. At first I planned to use a DW Lickilicky to stop others from abusing Sun in my BS team, but I saw that it's mainly a sweeping team (Special sweeper (Ninetales), physical sweeper (Darmanitan), physically inclined mixed attacker (Shiftry, with the IVs, should it be specially inclined? The Seedot is still UT. Too bad it has HP Ghost.)) I should offer the extras in my trade shop. (extra Vulpix and Darumaka, too! I happen to be IV breeding DW Vulpix in my Black, and IV breeding Darumaka in my White.) I'd recommend Jolly. It outspeeds threatening stuff, and you tie with other Jolly Darmanitan (I'm assuming this is BS?) I, personally, run Scarf, in the BS to outrun Scarf Pinsir, and everything that's as fast as Scarf Terrakion and slower.
Pucca Ness you posted the circuit so I would like to share my progress and questions whether certain things count:
Eggstatic for New Moves - Hatch a Pokémon with an Egg Move(s) and a TM. BOTH have to be moves that are not normally learnable. You can decide what Pokémon and moves however if they do not meet the standard they will not be counted. So no easy stuff. ** Egg moves must be chain bred.
----I bred a bagon with flamethrower, both a TM and an egg move. Does this count
IV got the right NATURE - Hatch a Pokémon with an Everstoned nature and a perfect IV, the IV has to benefit from the nature.--------Half completed
Volt Tackular Eggs - Hatch a Volt Tackle Pichu with 20+ Attack and Speed IVs.
Incensant Breeding - Hatch a Baby Pokémon through Incense Breeding
Master of Masuda - Hatch a Shiny Pokémon using the Masuda Method--------My shiny Axew :D In april!
I just need to get a flawless ditto. I will be searching for one in my game. Hopefully I'll gain progress on my car ride today to see family! Just wanted to say I really like this club! :D It gives me something to strive for, ever since the Shiny Pokemon Hunters club closed.
Hello,
I've been wondering for a while to join this club and today I decided to actually do that.
I've been breeding ever since Gold/Silver and have hatched thousands of eggs, for fun, for shinies, for egg moves.. ect.
Even though I'm quite used to hatching by now, I'm not as knowledgeable about the newer things, such as the power items. I was hoping to learn more about breeding by joining this club.
Most of my hatching was done to get a shiny, so far this only worked once, a wurmple back in february. But just yesterday I hatched a shiny magnemite while trying to get a modest / steel pull one (much to my surprise, that one came right after it).
Other things I've bred (to what I can clearly remember) is a power whip venusaur, dragon dance totodile and a rock head aggron.
_
I'm currently breeding for an 31 IV Attack/speed scyther with toxic, but I am wondering if I'm handling this correctly;
I'm assuming the power item has a 100% chance of transferring the selected IV.
I have a dustox with an 31 speed IV (with toxic) and I'm breeding this with scyther. The dustox is holding a power anklet.
I will keep breeding this until I get a male scyther with the 31 speed IV.
I'm going to keep breeding scythers to get a scyther with a 31 attack IV. If it is male, I will then breed this scyther with a power bracer until I get a female with the 31 attack IV.
I will then breed the female 31 attack IV scyther, while holding a power bracer, with the male 31 speed IV scyther with toxic, which is holding a power anklet to get a 31 Attack and Speed IV scyther with toxic.
Am I correct in assuming this will work?
Thanks in advance,
-Cell
Power Items can only pass down one parent's IV. For one of the IVs, you'll have to rely on luck that it's passed down and that nature's passed down. So, get one of them with Adamant/Jolly and give it an Everstone, and hope the nature and the IV is passed down.
Hello, and welcome to the Pokemon Breeding Club! This club is for those breeders who want to talk about special Pokemon that you've breeded to perfection! Masuda Method shinies are also open for discussion here. Now, here are the rules:
Rules:
1. Any one is allowed to accept members.
2. Please try your best to make your posts legible. We're not grammar police, but try and use proper grammar.
3. Only the Owner and Co-Owners may give strikes. Three and you are banned for two weeks. Three more and you are banned for two months. Get another three, and you are banned indefinitely, forever, whatnot.
4. No flaming.
5. No SPAM.
6. Stay on-topic.
7. Don’t complain about how the owner or co-owners do their jobs. If you have a problem with their decisions, contact them via PM or VM.
8. This isn't the place to handle trades; leave that to PMs and VMs if they have a specifically bred Pokemon you want.
9. Do not double/triple post. Do not post one-liners, either.
10. New Rule: Please try to make your posts at least 40 words long and 4 sentences, this is just to help uphold rules 4, 5, and the latter half of 9
11. All SPP Forum rules apply here as well.
12. If there is a spambot/some random spammer, like "Check out this product" and such, DO NOT RESPOND/POST ABOUT THEM.
You will receive one strike if you break any of the rules listed here.
Now, the way to join this club is as follows:
I, (ScreenName), hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them. Then, please give a reason for why you want to join the club, whether you're a breeder, or your just interested in breeding Pokemon, whatever, just give a legitimate reason.
Oh, one more rule: HAVE FUN! Enjoy talking about Pokemon you're breeding or have bred!
The Pokémon Breeding Circuit!
Eggstatic for New Moves - Hatch a Pokémon with an Egg Move(s) and a TM. BOTH have to be moves that are not normally learnable. You can decide what Pokémon and moves however if they do not meet the standard they will not be counted. So no easy stuff. ** Egg moves must be chain bred.
IV got the right NATURE - Hatch a Pokémon with an Everstoned nature and a perfect IV, the IV has to benefit from the nature.
Volt Tackular Eggs - Hatch a Volt Tackle Pichu with 20+ Attack and Speed IVs.
Incensant Breeding - Hatch a Baby Pokémon through Incense Breeding
Master of Masuda - Hatch a Shiny Pokémon using the Masuda Method
Rules
Smeargle is NOT allowed, due to it being able to learn any kind of move. This makes things a bit too easy.
No Dittos unless absolutely necessary (i.e. genderless Pokémon). We want you to get into egg groups as it’s more creative and helps in the long run.
No trading/hacking for the target. This defies the point of the circuit. You can obviously trade for foreign Pokémon to help with Master of Masuda or to help speed up the egg production.
If trading via serebiiforums.com to help with the circuit all forum rules apply. Especially the rules regarding hacked Pokémon. Don’t do it.
We would love to see the results of the circuit, so if you can, provide pictures to back up your story. Provide the OT, name, and ID number of your files before you start so we know you didn’t trade for the Pokémon.
**Examples with the Eggstatic for New Moves if you’re having trouble with thinking of moves and Pokémon:
Scyther with Baton Pass.
Archen with Head Smash
Marill with Future Sight.
The bolded part.
Hey I wish to join this club because I just love breeding good pokes. and I just want to learn more about it aswell.
My new goal this summer is to learn how to breed pokemon with good Iv's but its not really working with me yet.
And my other one is to breed a shiny. Ive only tried once by using my Jap Beedrill with my Ditto on my Platinum and ive hatched around 300 eggs with no luck yet.
Ill be trying to breed one on my White next because ive heared that there is a bigger chance of doing it. If anyone has got any tips please contact me.
Thanks
Wow, it's good to see the club has become so lively!
To all new members, if you have a doubt with any aspects on breeding, don't hesitate on asking me (although Andrew is a better breeder *sob*)
@Killzone999 I'm not a mod but you should read the rules about posting and joining (on first page)
@TheRuggercaz yup, you heard right, the odds of hatching a shinny on V gen is about the double from other games, if you have more doubts about shinny hatching and IV, Solftara is an older member and she posted guides on both of them on the thread (not sure where, thought). But if you feel too lazy send me a PM/VM with any doubt
Now, on topic, lately I've been trying to hatch a shinny sneasel wich continuesto avoid me (700 and something egg and counting); so I gave that a break to focus on another project: getting a FEMALE 31 IV att., sp.att. and speed Panpour and I'm thrilled to say I'm very close (I just hatched a 31att, spdef and speed female)
And quoting Pucca_ness "Keep up the god work" or someting like that :P
@roloox:
You're a great breeder man! Don't be so hard on yourself!
Also, I'd open to any suggestions for my next breeding project if anyone wants to help me out!
Also, like roloox said, don't hesitate to contact any of the members for tips on breeding or something something to start breeding with! :)
Ok, I'm really not one to get frustrated over too short posts in general, but this is just pathetic. Not quite hitting the limit now and then is forgiveable, but Zorua_tamer and VictoriousVictini, you just posted the pledge where you swore to abide by the rules, and then immediately broke them. And this happens so, so many times. Please. Using your brain to do some thinking is not a crime. There are even some very fun-to-answer questions in the first post that can help you get started in the club, share your experiences, let us get to know you guys. And believe me, we really do, but it's nice if you can make just a little effort. Thank you.
Maybe you should add something to the pledge. After you do the pledge it should say, "Now put five sentences on why you are joining and about yourself" or something. That could get people to follow the rules well enough.
Anyways, turns out I've only completed two things in the circuit. The egg move and the TM move (which were the same thing in my case) and the MM hunt. The MM hunt was the hardest so I'm glad I've got that out of the way. Now, I am RNGing to get some flawless stats for parents to complete the rest of the circuit. And I don't know if I've exactly properly joined the circuit. Can I submit myself into it? Thank you :)
Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted here in like a billion years, but I'm back. So, nothing really going for me in breeding right now, haven't had too much time. So yeah, hope you guys have fun during your breeding! Now for me to look at how the circuit is going.
Hey everyone, just a small update. :)
I've eventually succeeded in breeding the toxic 31 IV attack/speed scyther with the correct nature and ability. I had one with 31 Attack, Speed and HP and even the correct nature aswell, but it was the wrong ability. :(
Currently I'm trying to get a shiny Lileep via the Masuda Method, it won't have any egg moves or anything, though. So far I've hatched about 50 and have 5 boxes filled with eggs (150 in total).
Usually I then take the Lileep out of the daycare and just hatch them, but this time I'm hatching with 4 eggs and when I get a new (5th) one, I store it. So far, for every 4 eggs that hatch, I gain about 10.
I'm not going to turn off my DS until I get it shiny, to make sure I don't ruin my chances by the RNG resetting. :)
I have noticed, while breeding for the scyther, that having 2 parents with the same 31 IV (in my case, one with 31 speed, together with one with 31 attack and speed holding a power bracer) had about 80% chance of the offspring having 31 speed aswell.
Hello, and welcome to the Pokemon Breeding Club! This club is for those breeders who want to talk about special Pokemon that you've breeded to perfection! Masuda Method shinies are also open for discussion here. Now, here are the rules:
Rules:
1. Any one is allowed to accept members.
2. Please try your best to make your posts legible. We're not grammar police, but try and use proper grammar.
3. Only the Owner and Co-Owners may give strikes. Three and you are banned for two weeks. Three more and you are banned for two months. Get another three, and you are banned indefinitely, forever, whatnot.
4. No flaming.
5. No SPAM.
6. Stay on-topic.
7. Don’t complain about how the owner or co-owners do their jobs. If you have a problem with their decisions, contact them via PM or VM.
8. This isn't the place to handle trades; leave that to PMs and VMs if they have a specifically bred Pokemon you want.
9. Do not double/triple post. Do not post one-liners, either.
10. New Rule: Please try to make your posts at least 40 words long and 4 sentences, this is just to help uphold rules 4, 5, and the latter half of 9
11. All SPP Forum rules apply here as well.
12. If there is a spambot/some random spammer, like "Check out this product" and such, DO NOT RESPOND/POST ABOUT THEM.
You will receive one strike if you break any of the rules listed here.
Now, the way to join this club is as follows:
I, (ScreenName), hereby acknowledge that I have read the SPFF Club rules and the Pokemon Breeding Club Rules and hereby agree to abide by them. Then, please give a reason for why you want to join the club, whether you're a breeder, or your just interested in breeding Pokemon, whatever, just give a legitimate reason.
Oh, one more rule: HAVE FUN! Enjoy talking about Pokemon you're breeding or have bred!
As you can see the rules state that you must provide some information as to why you want to join the club. Also rules 9 and 10 clearly state how big a post must be and how oneliners are not allowed, just because it is the first post does not exclude it from the rules. I cannot see how this is not clear enough.
From that I will have to strike both zorua tamer and VictoriusVictini.
So glad Admin and Doug have re-surfaced :p I was growing some concern.
As for the circuit
Ballistic Buizel has completed
Eggstatic for New Moves - Bagon with flamethrower
IV got the right NATURE - Half completed
Master of Masuda - shiny Axew
Pucca_ness has completed
Volt Tackular Eggs
Master of Masuda - Axew
I know more of you done some of the circuit, if you could please post your current status with it that would be great, if not in a few days I suppose i'll trawl through the entire club T_T This is what I get for not keeping an active tab on things...
As for me i'm sure that's all i've done so far =/
I'm glad to see you all work together and share information to help each other =3 That was a main reason for me joining and why the club is such a good thing.
I was on holiday for a while and just wanted to post these.
31/31/31/<5/x/x
Brave
Egg Moves: Pursuit
Ditto used as an IV giver, due to the fact it is the only pokemon I have that is flawless.
I basically bred treecko's until I got a brave male one, then gave it pursuit, bred with a female larvitar. After this I bred the result with my flawless ditto to give it good IVs.
Mild
Egg Moves:-
Ditto used for IVs
A completely random shiny, my second ever (I got my first on another shiny drilbur 30 eggs earlier, which is quite amazing. It was also Mild and it wasn't as good), I was really pleased with it. Unfortunately it was mild, but flawless in speed and attack made it up for me, making it the cherry of the batch, especially as they are the only stats excadrill uses.
http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon/220.png
??? (Most likely flawless in HP, Attack and Speed, but I don't know and can't check)
Adamant
Egg Moves: Icicle Crash
Ditto used for IVs
I bred beartic (with icicle crash) and piloswine to get an adamant swinb, and then bred that with ditto to get the IVs.
Sorry about all the Ditto's, It's just this team is for competitive uses and I'd prefer to have it exemplary. So I won't count it on the breeding circuit.
Excellent work Barbeller, Those are excellent breeds there, nice on getting two random shinies too, especially such a nice one!
I haven't got much more to add really, been taking a bit of a break from pokemon and doing other things with life but I still check up here often.
Still needing more info from members concerning the shiny circuit results. I'll wait a bit longer since it's the beginning of the school year again, the last few days of summer are precious, do not waste them.
I'm back from the dead! I have a lot to update! Here's a list of all the Pokémon I've bred:
Overgrow
Seedot
Rash
Chlorophyll
Lileep
Bold
Suction Cups
Snover
Naive
Snow Warning
Ferroseed
Sassy
Iron Barbs
Natu
I bred all of these for a new team I'm making just for fun. I haven't played my White for a while so I'm only at 80 Sevipers.
Hi people! ^___^
Yup, im back. I felr there was no reason to breed if I cant use the pokemon in someway to show it. So I got WiFi, which means a reason to breed. So I have a list now.
Spinarak
Swarm / Timid
Elektroweb
That guy is one of my later breeds, just for fun. But now I will start MMing, chaining (as soon as I knowwhat it is) eggmove breed, nature breed, EVERYTHING!
And heres my current goal:
Eevee
(Havent choosed nature yet, he has many eeveeloutions) / anticipation
Whish
Baton Pass
So I hope you accept that I resign! ^___^
Hi bugpro!
Since the rules say that anyone can accept members, you're accepted! BTW that eeveee sounds good for competitive battling...
As for myself, I finally managed to breed a 31 IV speed, att and sp.att. panpour and I'm trying to get my hands iin the flawless shinny sneasel I've wantedsince forever. I'll probably start with the circuit again
Welcome.
Chaining is where in 4th gen you use the pokeradar to hunt for shinys, in a 'chain'. You could look up more details but it hasn't really got anything to do with breeding. Also with eevee, as it has wish, vaporeon would be best what with the new mechanics.
I think I'm gonna do the breeding curcuit soon. I've already done quite a bit, but that's with ditto, so it doesn't really count.
So I made some notes on what I want in my team, calculations and whatnot. So, of a team consisting of bulky bawasses, a Joteon seems like solution no1. So my plan is to breed a DW Jolteon whithout egg moves. There aint any fitting greatly for him if I remember right. So my plan is to invest in HP an SATK, while the flame orb activates quick feet. Back to topic. I'm planning for modest, that fits best.
Now off to a second question. Holding an everstone increases the chance that the offspring has the same nature as the parent by 50%. But if both parents have the same nature and holds an everstone, would that make it to 100%/99%? It would be a very useful strategy in MMing if so.
And thanks for the Chaining walkthrough. ^____^
