Hi recently i found ms paint on my computor (I thought it got deleated), so I have started to do some basic recoulers, im going to applagise as I dont now how to get a clear background and that my duskanior recouler has a black background.

Well i got a bit bored on mspaint so i thought, hay wouldnt tortera and groundon look cool if they had a colour swap? Well groudon did but tortera didnt but i noticed that the tree looks kind of like it was in bloom, so i did it to annother tortera sprite but thought if it was in bloom why would it be breen and pink and wala i have a bloom tortera!

Just some recoulers, Duskanior was supossed to have the colour scheme of primal dialga, exept it looks more like a shiney!

"Bloom torterra" Isn't visible.

And why are the other ones so small? That way I can't really take a good look at everything.

You can't see Bloom Torterra, you need to take out the '200' in ', / should be at the end. Not to mention the other recolors are really [I]really small.

Ahh sorry about that, if you put the bloom torterra web address in it will take you to the devient art page its on, sorry about the image not showing and the image being small, i dont now why but if i put the image source address into the image 200 thing it ends up small. il try and fix it. also after viewing the bloom tortera you can have a look at the sprite recouler stuff on my devient art profile.

Plain image location is the right size
Recoulers, changed colour schemes of pokemon for others, kyogre with charizard colour scheme, scizor with gengar colour scheme and charizard sheme wings, Palkia withs shiney soodawoodo colour scheme (I cant remember how t spell it), lugia with duskanoir (The beigey bits) and the greeny colours from shiney soodawoodo, the soodawoodo and duskanoir use the primal dialga colour scheme, although the duskanoir looks annoyingly similar to the shiney sprite, the last one was a bit of a mess up, it was supposed to have the gengar colour scheme but it failed.

Don't use either [*BANNER] [/BANNER] or [*IMG200] [/IMG200]

Just use [*IMG] [/IMG]

What I can make out of the banner is just basic recolors. They are done neatly though.

Got bored, just a basic recolour of a sceptile to fire type, then a little edit, infernape flame.

They're nice, just take to heart about how post images, tecnically you made a golden sceptile after that you made a golden sceptile + a flame, anyways it looks good and ca pass as Retyping

So what?

Anyways, that Sceptile retype is really C+P. I can clearly see that you just lifted the flame straight from Infernape. Make sure that if you do that then you try to change some shading to fit with the entire sprite and that you change some of the connections with, say, outlines or shading.

if you want a clear background either get a picture of the forums and use the colour picker tool of use a program like paint.net with the magic wand

Or do it the easier way.

Make sure the background colour is different from any colour found on the sprite. Upload it to Iaza.com and click the transparancy button on the top of the right hand coloumn. Click said colour, and link it here.

how is that easier than clicking a button?

Because that way involves Getting GIMP. It's not something everyone wants. I still use Paint and Iaza for my sprites and GIMp for Banners and Userbars. I tried animating in GIMP and it was an unmitigated disaster.

Anyway, You can recolour well, at least, that is definitely a good thing. Being able to recolour properly is the base for all spriting really. Other than that, it's only good for stuff liek your bloom Torterra- being clever with sprites without much difference (I made a Scrafty look like a human with human-like colours. That kind of thing) in the actual sprite.

The edit is the first little step towards the "nitty gritty" of spriting and the more complicated stuff from recolours as the base. Yes, it is clearly Copy+Pasted, but you do have rough positioning ideas, which are good. I would advise taking the front "horns" on Sceptile's head and putting them in front of the flames with the rest of the top of the head behind them, to make it look a little more natural and a head on fire.

But yeah, good stuff so far, keep working at it!
