This is a really fun idea that Eternal came up with to get all the forums involved in the Pokemon Society server to use the server more and get to know each other better. It's a pretty simple and fun concept. Here is the tournament's concept:
You can only represent one forum. Either Teamuber, Serebii, CAL, Marriland, PE2K, or Pokemon Online.
Teamuber sign up thread: http://teamuber.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9764
Pokemon Online sign up thread: http://pokemon-online.eu/forums/showthread.php?5385-The-Pokemon-Society-Interforums-Tournament-2011
Marriland sign up thread: http://www.marriland.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=163&t=425854
CAL sign up thread: http://www.crazyamazingleague.com/Forum/showthread.php?p=21286
PE2K sign up thread: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3262906
Serebii sign up thread: you're here already
You must post on this thread on the forum you want to represent in.
You must post in the following format:
Forum Username: (The username you use on this forum)
PO Simulator Username: (The username you go by on Pokemon Online)
Forum Representing: (The forum you wish to represent)
Post on this thread in this format to join now!
There will be a three week deadline for the first round. Round 1 will begin this Saturday. So the deadline for the first round will be April 9, 2011. Anyone wishing to join this tournament may do so at any time before this date.
All battles MUST take place on The Pokemon Society server.
How Round 1 will work:
There is no limit as to how many people can join this tournament, but only a select few will make it to Round 2. The amount of players that will make it to Round 2 is dependent on how many people actually partake in this tournament.
You must battle as many people that joined this tournament as you can on the Pokemon Society server.
You must record all your battle wins and losses and post them on this thread. All results must be cumulative so make sure your updated posts always has your previous results with it. For example: Wins = Player1, Random3, Anon2, Anon24
Losses = Player6, Anon5, Username2
You can challenge anyone in this tournament in any tier of your choice, but as long as the person you're challenging agrees to battle in that tier.
You CANNOT battle the same person more than once.
You are able to obtain points for both winning and losing. Winning will earn you 4 points, while losing will earn you 1 point, and a battle that comes out to be draw, will earn you 2 points. So to take advantage of this tournament, make sure to battle as many people in this tournament as you can!
Battling Rules:
Sleep Clause - You cannot put more than one Pokemon to sleep.
Freeze Clause - You cannot freeze more than one Pokemon.
OHKO Clause - Any moves that induce an instant KO like Horn Drill are banned.
Species Clause - You cannot use more than one of the same Pokemon in your team.
Wi-Fi Battle - Must be on if the battle is in the Wi-Fi tier.
Timer - Please turn on the timer function.
Dis/Allow Spectators - It is up to both you and your opponent whether to allow spectators or not. If one of you wish to not allow spectators, then Disallowing Spectators will take priority.
Save Battle Logs - Make sure to save all your battle logs. If there are any disputes between any battles, then these logs will come in handy.
Do not do start battling yet! Round 1 and all battles for this tournament must begin on March 19, 2011!
