Legit team today, no themes.

This is a balanced style I've been adopting recently, thoughts? By the way this isn't doubles if anyone's confused.

The Leads

]Jirachi@Leftovers
]Impish | Serene Grace
236Hp | 22Def | 252Sp.D

• Thunder Wave
• Iron Head
• Fire Punch
• Stealth Rocks

236Hp allows me to regain an extra 2% of health each turn; the small sacrifice total health will be worth it. The rest is there to make sure Jirachi survives. I made her specially defensive since Conkeldurr attracts special attacks - namely psychic attacks - I figure having a x4 resist and great sp.d would come in handy. Thunder Wave is a reliable paralysis support, my team needs it since most of them are slow... and it saves me from needing a scarf to Iron Head people to death. Fire Pawnch is there so other steel types don't wall me, and the burn chance is not bad.

]Drapion@Black Sludge
]Careful | Battle Armour
252Hp | 56Atk | 192Sp.D | 10Spe

• Whirlwind
• Toxic Spikes
• Crunch
• Earthquake

Secondary lead, dark+ground makes very decent coverage, only thwarted by Skarmory. I think. No big deal, Drapion is faster than the common Skarmory sets so I can simply whirlwind them out. Drapion is pretty hard-bodied physically, so I'll balance his defenses by investing in special defense. He's one point lower in defense to stop Porygon and friends from Downloading. 10Spe beats other Drapions (it isn't much but whatever) and the rest goes into attack. And of course, I can just pseudo-phaze and rack up Stealth Rocks damage and spread poison.

The Core

]Vaporeon@Leftovers
]Bold | Water Absorb
252Hp | 252Def | 6Sp.D

• Wish
• Protect
• Ice Beam / Yawn
• Scald

Simple is simple. Physically bulky Vaporeon is here for support, whether with Wish, Sleep or Burn. It can also double as Toxic stall if Drapion is successful with Toxic Spikes. I know Ice Beam doesn't hit many things with Scald, but it can score critical x4 SE on threats like Landorus, Gliscor, and almost any dragon. Don't know if I should run Hydration or not, rain teams are pretty common.

]Conkeldurr@Flame Orb
]Brave | Guts
232Hp | 252Atk | 26Sp.D

• Drain Punch
• Bulk Up
• Payback
• Mach Punch

Simple phat-*** Conkeldurr. Fight+Dark for perfect neutral, and Flame Orb to prevent Toxic/Paralysis/Freeze(lol). 232Hp lets me get 17 turns with the Guts boost, not counting any damage or recovery. Basically making his health a multiple of 16, and one extra. The hax is unreal, I know. The extra EVs go into special defense, to add a little bit of a cushion should a special attack come by.

The Cleanup

]Alakazam@Life Orb
]Timid | Magic Guard
6Hp | 252Sp.A | 252Spe

• Psychic
• Energy Ball
• Focus Blast
• Shadow Ball

For the sweep of course.

http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/8/80/Spr_5b_128.png
]Tauros@Choice Band / Choice Scarf
]Jolly/Adamant | Sheer Force
6Hp | 252Atk | 252Spe

• Rock Climb
• Zen Headbutt
• Rock Slide
• Earthquake

The original badass. Beats any Terrakion with its extra two points in speed. Easy enough though, Sheer Force boosts 3/4 of my moves, and with CB I hit like a Snorlax rolling down a hill.

I am against normal types for some reason. Use Giratina instead of tauros.
It'll still beat up terrakion pretty badly, and it's pretty strong or bulky, depending on which form you want to use.

whoah giratina

imo, calm mind is a waste of a move on alakazam. just because it is so frail in terms of HP and defense. and yes is has a good sp.d but people realize that and will obviously send out a physical attacker instead
HP Fire miiiight be an option > focus blast. (i c u didn't do you focus miss thingy this time)

also i prefer CB + Jolly

Yes,this team is to show those Noobs in 5th Gen. what GOOD movesets are actually like

i think this is where that belongs ;)
nice team as always jordan

Well Jirachi is banned from competitive, so that's sort of why I would suggest giratina

Purple_Tangrowth

well why do you suggest giratina?

davidchu

well why do you suggest giratina?

It's ghost type, so it's perfect agains terrakion 0.0
plus, it can use earthquake and stone edge

Oops, it can't learn rock slide. Don't use it then - -

That hurts Logan D: but thanks?

What's wrong with normal types?

This. idk, I think I'll take the chance for the extra power. It's hard enough getting a perfect Hp[Fire]
also i prefer CB + Jolly
Me too.

It is a better counter, but personally I just think it's unfair D:

In general, if you don’t see any ubers on a team, don’t suggest any, especially if it’s semi-competitive.

Jirachi is not banned, but Giratina is so I don’t know what you’re getting at.

Consider Toxic for Toxic-Protect on Vaporeon. Dunno what I’d replace so…

Cool team

And Jirachi is also banned, so I thought he was going to play no restrictions.
Why isn't anyone getting this???
