Discuss My Pokemon!
Original idea by Smogon Forums.

This is where you can show off all you're latest Pokemon. But while showing of you're new work, there are rules you need to follow.

All standard SPPf rules apply.
This not a trade thread! Take that to VM/PMs. Or use the trade forum section (http://www.serebiiforums.com/forumdisplay.php?220-Trade-Forum) if you're asking for a Pokemon.
Questions about RNG should be addressed in the RNG Help Thread (http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?534245-*Revamped-RNG-Discussion-Help-Thread), not this one.
This is a place like I said to show off your work or ask if a Pokemon is worth keeping. Examples will be shown below.
Following the last rule, this thread is NOT only for RNGs. People who breed and soft reset are welcome to this thread as well, but IVs must be worth showing such as 25+ in the stats that are needed for that Pokemon.
Please do not disrespect anyone's work. They spent time out of their lives to do it I am sure the last thing they want to hear is that it was a "waste of time" or "stupid".
The aspect of if RNGing is cheating or not should not be discussed to avoid any unneeded argument.
No hacking of course, but nothing of the sort should be mentioned. I am sure no one cares how easily you made a Shiny Victini get past Pokecheck's legaility checker.
When posting a pokemon please don't just state you got a (insert Pokemon name here). Details are required, such as IVs, Nature, Ability, Special Moves, and so on. More details the better.
Sprites (Pokemon, Type of Ball used, Pokemon's type) always help give your post some life, but this rule isn't nessecary. Pokecheck.org is a good source of sprites and so is Serebii.net
When posting it must have meaning. Don't spam. If posting a Pokemon follow rules already stated. If commenting on someone's work don't just say "nice" or "cool" or any other generic answer. Something like "Great breed, (insert username here), (insert Pokemon) is really good at (insert actions)." It's cheesy, but it works.
Don't dedicate a post to a crappy Pokemon (goes with Rule 6) with nothing special about it. "I caught a Adamant 3/1/15/4/26/0 Caterpie in Viridian Forest today lmao!" Something like, "RNGed myself a Adamant 31/31/31/31/31/31 Larvitar today," is a better post. Even if you did a ribbon project on that Caterpie is a better post.

Example of what to post (for Pokemon):

http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/p538/TaaniM/Pokemon/cherishball.pnghttp://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/494.gif
#494 Victini | http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-bw/type/fire.gif http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-bw/type/psychic.gif | -
Jolly | Victory Star | UT @ Lv. 50
31 | 31 | 31 | x | 31 | 31 | Hidden Power Dark [70]
V-Create | Fusion Flare | Fusion Bolt

I RNGed this today!

OR

Soft Reseted and this is what I got.
http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/p538/TaaniM/Pokemon/cherishball.pnghttp://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/494.gif
Hasty | 25 / 30/ 22 / 6 / 20 / 31
Should I keep it or keep trying? Is Hasty a good nature?

Examples of what not to post (for Pokemon)

Got a Stunfisk today. It's Naive and flawless.

I SRed and got a Hasty Zekrom today.

Examples of how to comment:

Good SR! A hasty Victini can really pack a punch!
OR

You shouldn't keep because Hasty is for mixed and your Victini doesn't have that good of IVs.

Examples of how not to comment:

Keep
OR

Toss, stupid pokemon.

I'm looking forward to contributing a Flawless Adamant Arceus to this thread... Downloaded the.event but haven't gotten around to learning Entralink RNGing to get it...

Dang Dewey's going hard on that 4th gen! Nice looking RNGs there!

Thanks :D 4th gen is fun, i like all of the interesting options with the TMs and move tutors :p Such as:

http://sprites.pokecheck.org/s/250.gif
#250 Ho-oh | Fire/Flying | Genderless | Fast Balll
Nature: Timid | Ability: Pressure | Hidden Power: Grass (70)
Date: 6/28/2012 | Caught: Bell Tower | Met at Lvl. 70
IVs: 31/2/31/30/31/31 | Special Moves: Roost, Heat Wave, Giga Drain, and Earth Power

Not your typical Ho-oh but a base 110 S. Atk stat isnt horrible (well, with a weakness to stealth rock and in the Uber environment...) I plan to get an Adamant/Jolly one at some point, but for the moment thats the spread i had to work with and with that glorified parrot i now have a shiny flawless version of every pokemon from Kanto and Johto (excluding Mew and Celebi obviously). Oh, it also took me just 1 fast ball :o He used Safe guard and i had False swiped him down to 1 HP and i didnt no what to do while i waited for Safe guard to wear off, so i thought i would just chuck Fast balls at him and see if i got lucky. I did :D

I so badly want to RNG the Legendary Golems, but I've already caught them in Platinum, and there's no way I'm restarting. I guess I could resort to mediocre spreads on Emerald. Good to see the thread open. I haven't got anything to post at the moment, since stupid Entralink RNG is taking so long.

Agonist, out of curiosity (since I'll never have to non-RNG breed xD), how do you go about achieving such excellent breeds? I presume you use hex-flawless parents and then continuously hatch eggs.

Yeah, I use hex-flawless parents, or whatever I can find that's close enough, then go through egg until I find the one that has the right characteristics, then save in front of it, and just reset on that egg until I get the IVs that I'm satisfied with.

Yes, first non-RNG abused mon's posted :D now if only everyone else set the bar as high as I do for non-RNG abused pokes :/

I can't actually believe those are Non-RNG abused! Very good breeds, and I shall soon attempt to breed like that for tutor moves as soon as my starter hunt ends...

Anyway, I've recently got some egg-moved non rng pokemon to show:

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/551.gif http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/9/93/Bag_Pok%C3%A9_Ball_Sprite.png
Female | Jolly Nature | Intimidate | Hatched in Castelia City
IVs: 31 | 31 | 18 | 6-7 | 17 | 31
Moveset: Leer | Rage | Pursuit
Planned Moveset: Crunch | Pursuit | Earthquake | Stone Edge

I found that to be a nice breed, despite the fact that I downloaded the parents (Krookodile | Zebstrika) from Pokécheck. Still, I loved it, but is it worth keeping?

I also bred this:

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/543.gif http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/9/93/Bag_Pok%C3%A9_Ball_Sprite.png
Female | Jolly Nature | Poison Point | Hatched in Castelia City
IVs: 30 | 31 | 31 | 2-3 | 18 | 31
Moveset: Defense Curl | Rollout | Protect
Planned Moveset : Swords Dance | Megahorn | Earthquake | Rock Slide

Protect was randomly thrown on from my random Venipede parent I caught in the wild. Funnily enough, it had 31 Attack and HP IVs without me even trying =D

Oh, and decided to show this, see what everyone thought about it being kept:

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/597.gif http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/9/93/Bag_Pok%C3%A9_Ball_Sprite.png
Female | Careful Nature | Iron Barbs | Hatched at Castelia City
IVs: 31 | 31 | 31 | 31 | 6-7 | 22-23
Moveset: Leech Seed | Stealth Rock | Tackle
Planned Moveset: Leech Seed | Stealth Rock | Power Whip | Thunder Wave

Gyro Ball is a bit...meh with the stupid speed IVs. I'll probably rebreed it, but I feel guilty because I downloaded multiple parents from Pokécheck for breeding, including Modest and Timid Shiny Flawless Dittos.

P.S I like my format a lot =P

EDIT: Silly attachment!

Both are pretty decent, and both are pretty frail as it is, so I don't think that the defense matters to much (especially as both are offensively minded Pokemon). That being said, it's more difficult to get good non-RNG abused pokes in BW (at least imo) since you can't lock onto a egg, and have it always be the same nature/ability/gender wise.

Yeah but it never hurts to have good IV's in defense or special defense so i always breed for 30/31 Iv's in 5 stats.so far i managed to breed 16 different pokemon like this.:3

Obviously, hence I don't settle for anything less than a 29 IV in a non-decreasing stat. However, others don't have the patience to breed for such

the S. Def is a little low, but with Ferrothorn's high S. Def stat and you S. Def boosting nature that shouldn't be to big of a hindrance. Also, Gyro ball is still an option. with a base 20 speed stat even a speed IV of 31 won't reduce the power to much, especially considering how speed oriented the metagame is. All in all i would say its a keeper, but if you have the patience to keep at it then go for it :p

Perfect RNG'ed pokemon have an advantage over bred ones when it comes to defensive stats especially. You can have a pokemon with 12/31/31/31/31/31, but its that relatively low IV for HP that gives the other person the ability to knock down your pokemon more quickly, even with some amount of investment for Def or SpDef.

I do in G5, and G3 lol. I can't RNG in G4, so I just breed them traditionally. G4 is the easiest generation to breed in anyway, (HGSS at least) so its really not much of a hindrance.

To be truthful, it doesn't matter whether they are bred or RNGed. If they are good/great/brilliant (see tjcoulombe's post), that's it. Heck, I know somebody who got a 31 | X | 24 | 31 | 31 | 31 Timid Sheer Force Nidoking, and said that it was a breed that took ages. Breeding IVs can be tedious and requires a lot of patience, but the result outweighs everything else at the end, like Shiny Hunting.

Shaking spot/dust spot/water spot pokes are tricky, cause you never know how many steps you'll have to take. If you end up taking 250 steps to find a spot, that's at least 500 advances to the PID right there.

Terrakion... one of my favorites, but very overrated, lol. Was that SRed? It'd be insane if it was. I only ask because RNGs usually are at least penta-flawless.

Hey guys I've recently been breeding like a fiend for a near perfect bold drifloon with aftermath. This is what I got and I kid you not, no cheating devices were used, just a ton of patience and awesome parent pokemon! Both have aftermath.

The second one definitely. Low speed isn't going to help you when you're too slow and get killed before you can even pass that baton (lol). Good breeds though

i was seriously considering an Impish version, but i had all of the information for the egg and IVs in RNG reporter already so i just got lazy and went with jolly :p The hardest part about RNGing now is waiting for time finder to find something :/ i hate my slow computer

Hey man, thanks! I think I'm going to do that because I really don't need a good attack IV and everything else is pretty awesome!
If only the first one had the IVs on attack and speed switched around, it would be the best drifloon ever! muhahaha!!

It's still hell of a breed, lol. You could try the other one for a trick room baton pass? He has average speed so I think it could work.

^Not to be a mini-mod, but you should ask in the RNG Discussion Thread.

Anyways, I've seen Love Balls being used as well as Heal Balls, but Love Balls are a pain to get and to catch it with.

I'm actually thinking of going on a big catching spree, and see what IVs I can get on the caught Pokemon, seeing as I've got 400 Great Balls, and 650 Poké Balls to waste...Time to grab my synchronizers!

IVs: 31/31/31/31/31/31 | Special moves: Bounce, Thrash, Hydro Pump, and Dragon Dance

the second one is a gen 4 RNG that i needed to get the right egg moves (Earth Power specifically) but it also has a few good move tutor moves in gen 4 (specifically bounce). Also, the gen 5 one has its DW ability, which is actually useful in battle

I've also already started on Sinnoh (as you could tell from my epic Kricitot) and there only ~18 pokemon i need to RNG from there

heavy ball. Why you ask? just because no one else has used it and i personally like the heavy ball :p But you might want to wait before catching entei. You will need the roamers to very your seed when you RNG the pokemon that are out of reach of elm calls. Lugia is the main one but there is the other roamers too. Since you cannot cal Elm from the pokemon league you will need to use the other two to verify your seed

@TDawg, yeah, im kinda hoping that event comes soon so i can RNG them, but i really want them shiny (despite the lame color schemes :p) Event versions will suffice though for the time being :D

Also, I aimed for a specific PID frame, so its characteristic is "Likes to thrash about", which I think is very apt.

I had a better seed (needed 12 advances instead of the 260 on these) but my R bumper on my DS Lite refuses to work at all, unless I mash it down extremely hard (which I don't really want to do, because I'd rather not break my DS). Also, I think if I go back to catch a Modest and Timid HP Ice one, I'll use a Ultra Ball, since IMO it matches better.

This is my second successful Entralink RNG. I have plenty more in Entree Forest to RNG, but I'm not sure they're all worth doing. I definitely want to do an Outrage MoxieMence and Unburden Hitmonlee and my precious Ice Punch female Mawile ;_;, but I'll have to revisit the Dream World for those. I have an egg RNG I want to do at the moment, anyway.

All in all, I'd say it was a decent binge session. ^_^

I tell you what, sorting 630 baby pokemon, Judge-checking the right Nature/Ability ones, then IV checking all the Outstanding ones is quite time consuming. It took me hours. So I can't blame anyone for skipping this method!

... And now to breed 300-500 more.

I really like Scraggy, so I felt like doing a Moxie one since I already have a Shed Skin variant. Togekiss only took one attempt (I'm getting good at this), so he turned out to be a quicker RNG than Scraggy. xD I caught it on my birthday so it relates to the event. I don't think I'll do anymore Gen V RNGs for a little while, since I want to visit the Dream World again. Here are a list of the Pokémon in my Entree Forest. Are any of them really worth RNGing?

Tinted Lens Butterfree w/Roost (I'll probably do this one due to personal preference, anyway)
Overcoat Burmy w/Snore
Sand Veil Larvitar w/Stealth Rock
Sand Force Hippopotas w/Superpower
Thick Fat Mamoswine

Thanks! I want to do those, but I am going to need to learn how to RNG on FRLG and RSE using a emulator first :p.

Yes I said don't expect too many of these, but without any actually retail carts (left) to abuse I decided I will just RNG the worthwhile shinies on an Emulator :P.

Not for lols, lol. :P Lugia doesn't really need special attacks as long as it can stall. It can use Pressure, Toxic, Roost, Dragon Tail and Sub to stall all day. Dragon tail is the only attack it uses and it's physical and it needs the physical defense.

nice RNGs, but for sketching pokemon the easiest way to do it is to use one of your own pokemon with the move you want and get into a double battle ( i recommend the grass right under the daycare as the pokemon are lvl 10-13), then send out your smeargle and the pokemon with the move you want to sketch. For example, send out smeargle and Lucario w/ Dark Pulse, then have Lucario use Dark pulse and Smeargle use sketch on Lucario. Just make sure Smeargle isn't faster than the other pokemon ir you will waste your time

These are four new pokemon I obtained from Pokemon Colosseum. All of them are random in terms of nature except Quilava, who I SR'd for. I'm wondering if there are any new moves (Gen III/IV exclusive) that I should teach before Pal Parking and Pokeshifting. Also, other comments would be appreciated. The IVs are currently unknown due to their low levels.

you should at least have an idea of their IVs if you're going to post them in here. Just because they're from Colosseum doesn't warrant them being posted.

Now that's just stupid. I really hope they just got the natures mixed up.

Roaming Zapdos so no Fast Ball :(. I also need to teach it Heatwave still, but that'll have to wait till I get it on to my retail cart. Changing my layout a bit. Just because stating the type is a bit redundant when you see the sprite. Well to someone who know what type Pokemon are.

Looked into my non-rnged SS ID/SID combo a bit and the shiny spreads I found (besides the one I used on Suicune) were pretty good, but I may start a new file and RNG it, not sure yet. Anyway, I did these two legends today.

Good god the process for capturing this one was a trainwreck. I set the calibrated delay too high at first, realized I didn't have Chatots a little after I started trying to hit it, had to catch some, didn't have a catcher Smeargle handy when I hit the delay so I had to just keep chucking balls till it Struggled. Decided I didn't want to put up with it's crap anymore so I Master balled it.

So, I finally tried RNGing again after several weeks of failed attempts. Finally, I managed the following Pokemon. They're all a bit weird since I'm new, but hey, it's something.

Wild Encounter RNGs:

Non Shiny Adamant Near Flawless Bouffalant (31/30/31/31/30/31)

Shiny Near Flawless Deino (30/30/17/31/30/31), Sassy, level 38 in Dusk Ball

Shiny Near Flawless Yamask *Used same seed as above* (30/30/17/31/30/31), Sassy, Level 20 in Dusk Ball

Shiny near flawless Litwick (30/30/30/31/30/31) Modest, level 27 in Luxury Ball

Shiny near flawless Patrat *used same seed as above* (30/30/30/31/30/31) Modest, in Premier Ball

Egg Bred:

Shiny Flawless (31/31/31/31/31/31) Ralts (female with synchronize), no interesting moveset, though.

Good shiny catches... But I would abuse your TID/SID for better IVs... But other than that very nice!

I agree good catches. Abusing the ID/SID is hardly necessary in 5th Gen. Just as long as you can tolerate a few extra Chatot flips. Or if you don't want to kill your computer (pretty much happened to me a while back).

I've had one overheat issue but I usually let it search for a few things and once I see something that works for me, good enough. :) I would RNG my IDs but I don't feel like it'd be worth resetting my file for.

Lol I was directing my comment to the guy who had the shiny groudon and rayquaza. It's necessary for 4th gen if you want great shinies.

unless its HG/SS, or you want to RNG your roamer, there is really no need to RNG you ID/SID on gen 5, but it looks like your getting the hang of RNGing, way to go! And i see you got the hang of breeding too, nice :)

Breeding is still really difficult, I can't seem to get into the menu screen without the petlil and whatever sprites moving a space or 2. I can get out of it now without trouble to get the egg, but the ralts was part luck for sure considering they moved and I just guessed randomly to do 4 less chatots. It worked though! :D My next challenge is a weird hasty flawless gastly... We'll see if I manage it.

I find wild encounters easy except for finding many seeds, obviously. I want to find a good use for the seed I used for Litwick though, as it's pretty good, but very limiting as it's only for encounter slot 2.

Overall though, I think I do have the hang of it. I'll probably search for more seeds while I do some paper writing and such. Dunno though, it's annoying right now since I know I can do it, but keep failing at breeding save for the one time. :P I also need to go through and decide what I have/what I need to breed other things, too.

Yeah I know, I have a Diamond file with my IDs RNGed for the shiny hex-flawless Timid and Modest spreads. But I figure if I'm gonna RNG my SoulSilver IDs, I might as well catch the legends I have left first, no point in wasting them. Anyway, I got one more legend down, two roamers left and I'm done.

So I finally RNG'd my Tornadus today. After a month of trying to hit my Shiny Jolly seed and gettting frustrated I ended up hitting the Shiny Quirky one a few frames earlier.
I thought about it for 10 mins before I decided to keep it anyway after all I was after it Shiny as a priority so I can always get another for competitive play.

I noticed awhile back that you wouldn't do too many emulator abuses and now you're lovin' it I see?

I should try emulator abuse, but I always cop out because I don't remember how to transfer files to an actual cart... I know theres a way with an R4 but I don't have one so its out of the question. Pokecheck maybe?

Thanks, man!

Yeah at first I didn't like it too much, but the easiness of it and how much faster I can get Pokemon really leans me towards doing it more. Of course I still think retail cart abuse is better and more fun because the challenge of timing, but it's still really cool.

For getting my Pokemon onto 5th Gen I just upload them to Pokecheck. IR-GTS is another way to go for both gens.

I think my Platinum game just gave me a sign that it does not want to be RNGed. I had plans to do the Regis, and I got a TRU Regigigas today, and I wanted to do Registeel first. I got to the cave and activated the stones on the floor, and got the message about the statue. I thought it would turn into a door if I pressed A, like in RSE. NOPE! I didn't reset or advance the frames knowingly or anything.
