Rustboro Academy(Hoenn and Quest shipping)

This fic is rated PG-13 for violence and bad language in the later chapters. This is my first fan fic so it wouldn't be that good yet. Flames are welcome just don't go " This story sucks!" or something like that. Tell me why and how can I improve. Anyway, here's the first chapter of Rustboro Academy!

Chapter 1: May’s embarrassment (Part 1)

January 1st 2005
Rustboro Academy
English Class

It was a fine day at Rustboro academy. All was going well until Marina, a 12-year-old girl, who had cerulean hair tied up in two ponytails and was also wearing a white jacket over a pink long-sleeved skirt and blue shorts, also known as the school’s pest, walked in to her English class. Marina sat down on a table and called everyone in her class to come over and listen to the great news she had. Brendan, who was in her class, did not bother to gather; as it was probably some news about the English teacher was not here today. Ash, Drew, Wally who were in Marina’s class quickly gathered around Marina as they knew the news would probably be about May and Brendan.
Brendan was their archenemy as they all liked May but May seemed to like Brendan and not the rest of them. The whole class had gathered around her then Marina started to speak,

“ As we know, May and Brendan who are the lovebirds in this class, I’d like to say, Brendan, May likes you!”

As soon as Marina said that, May who just happened to step in the class heard what Marina had just announced began to blush furiously. Brendan did the same too.
Kerry, a 13-year-old, who had brown hair was wearing a pink short sleeves shirt and a yellow skirt a little above the knee caps, Marina’s best friend and also in Marina’s group of teasing Brendan and May, saw Brendan and May blushing and purposely made them blush even more by saying,

“ Brendan and May, Sitting on a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!”

The whole class except Ash, Drew, Wally, Brendan and May began to laugh at the joke. May and Brendan just wished the teacher would just come in right now and stop Marina and Kerry from making so much trouble.
Somehow their wish came true as the English teacher stepped in and saw the whole class laughing and knew it was Marina behind all the trouble and quickly called the class to settle down and go back to their seats.
After English class was Lunch for them. May managed to get in to the lunchroom without Jackie, Emily and Sam, who were in Marina’s group of teasing her and Brendan, following her and making all those jokes about her and Brendan.
May stepped in to the lunchroom and saw Brendan sitting at the boy’s table with Ash, Drew and Wally while Marina who was sitting on her group table with Kerry. The minute Brendan saw May stepped in; he started to blush furiously after what Marina had said in English class. May did the same too. May was tired from all this teasing and decided to try convince Marina somehow to stop teasing her and Brendan for at least a day.

Chapter 2: May’s embarrassment (Part 2)
January 1st 2005

Lunchroom
Jackie, Emily and Sam entered the lunchroom a few minutes after May had arrive and went to Marina to tell her that they did not succeed in teasing May all the way to the lunchroom.
The minute Brendan saw May stepped in; he started to blush furiously after what Marina had said in English class. May did the same too. May was tired from all this teasing and decided to try convince Marina somehow to stop teasing her and Brendan for at least a day. May slowly walked to Marina preparing what she was going to say to Marina and hoped she did not say anything that would get Marina to cause even more trouble.
Marina and Kerry were talking about Brendan and May and did not notice May coming towards their way.
“ Umm, Hi Marina, umm. Could you please stop all the teasing?,”
May’s voice was suddenly heard and that gave a scare to Marina and Kerry.
“ Why? Teasing you and Brendan really is fun, right Kerry?”
“ Yep! It is fun!”
“ Well can you at least stop for the rest of today please? We have only about 3 more hours to go before school is over. So could you please don’t tease for the rest of today?,
” May asked hoping Marina would agree.
“ Nah. That isn’t fun!”
“ Well teasing isn’t fun either.”
“Why you want me to stop teasing anyway? Is it because you love Brendan?,
” Marina asked mockingly.
“ No I don’t!,
” May stuttered blushing a bit.
“ Aw you’re blushing already! So that means you do love him!”
“NO I DON’T!! STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!,
” May screamed at the top of her lungs.
May’s scream was heard loud and clear in the lunchroom. Everyone who heard the scream stared at May. May looked at them and gave a nervous laugh. Everyone stopped staring at May and went back doing whatever they were doing before the scream was heard.
“ Please Marina please?”
“ Nuh uh I am not stopping all the teasing”
“ I know! How about you have a battle with May?,
” Kerry suggested.
“ That’s a great idea!,
” Both May and Marina agreed at the same time.
“ Ok, if you win, I’ll stop the teasing for today but if I win, I’ll continue, Okay?”
“ Right. Lets battle now?”
“ Yep!”
Marina said as she started walking towards the hall with May following behind.
After May and Marina left, Kerry told every one of her classmates that May and Marina are going to have a battle in the hall. After Kerry told everyone, everyone rushed to the hall.
When May and Marina arrived the hall, the hall was packed with every one of their classmates who somehow heard of the battle they were going to have.
I guess Kerry must have told everyone about the battle” May thought to herself.
Kerry, Jackie, Emily and Sam were talking to each other about who will win the battle.
“ I think Marina is going to win the battle!,”
Sam, a 13-year-old, who had a little crush on Marina, said.
“ I hope so too,”
The others said.
“ One on one battle and no time limit sounds good?,”
Marina asked.
“ Okay. Go Torchic!!,”
May said as she threw a poke ball. The poke ball landed on the floor releasing a small chick pokemon.
“ Torchic!,”
The little orange chick pokemon cried out its battle cry.
“This is going to be a tough one with Chikorita if Torchic uses ember but I’m going to try no matter what even if May has the type advantage!,”
Marina thought to herself.
“ Go Chikorita!,”
Marina said as she threw a poke ball her style, which looked as if she was kicking the poke ball.
“Chikeri!,”
The grass type pokemon cried out as it came out of its poke ball.
“ Ok Torchic lets finish this with em-!,”
Marina cut May short.
“ Hey what’s the big idea?!,”
May yelled at Marina.
“ Stun spore now!,”
Marina told Chikorita ignoring May.
“Chika!,”
Chikorita cried out as it obeyed its trainer and released a brown powder at Torchic. The brown powder landed on Torchic all over the place and Torchic tried to dodge by it could not move somehow.
“Woo hoo! Torchic’s paralyzed!,” Kerry shouted.
“ Oh great, Torchic’s paralyzed, I think I have a paralyzed heal somewhere in my bag,”
May told herself and began digging up the items inside her phanny pack.
“ Okay Chikorita, while she’s distracted keep tackling Torchic!,”
Marina said confidently that she would win the battle.
The grass type pokemon rushed to Torchic and started tackling it non-stop. Torchic’s health was now in the red zone and any minute now it was going to faint.
“ I found it!,”
May shouted as she pulled out a paralyzed heal from her bag and used it on Torchic. Torchic was now able to move and dodged Chikorita’s tackle attacks as Chikorita was getting tired.
“ Okay Torchic ember!,”
May shouted, as she could smell victory.
“ Torchiiiiiiiiiiiiic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,”
The fire chick pokemon cried out as it shot tiny fireballs at Chikorita. One of the fireballs landed at Chikorita’s leaf and started burning.
“Chika!!,”
Chikorita cried out rolling about trying to put the fire out.
“ Chikorita!,”
Marina shouted as she watched her pokemon rolling about desperately trying to put the fire out. Soon, Chikorita fainted.
“ Yes!! May won! I knew she would win!,”
Brendan, who overheard every single word what May, Marina and Kerry were talking about in the lunchroom, shouted happily from his seat, as he was too happy to hear no more teasing from Marina for the rest of today.
“ Aww Marina lost,”
Kerry, Jackie and Emily said in unison.
“ Well she did put up a great fight,”
Sam told the girls. The girls nodded their head agreeing with what Sam had just said.
“ Return Chikorita,”
Marina said feeling a bit down and guilty for getting Chikorita badly hurt. May returned Torchic and went up to Marina.
“ Hey that was a great battle you put up even though me and Torchic had the advantage.”
“ Yeah. I still lost anyway. I won’t tease you for the rest of today,”
Marina said and ran away to the pokemon center to heal Chikorita. After Marina left, May was partying mentally.
Kerry, Jackie, Emily and Sam saw Marina running away and quickly gave chase.
“ I’m sorry Chikorita that I got you hurt so bad,”
Marina mumbled to herself as she entered the pokemon center. Marina handed Chikorita’s poke ball to Nurse Joy.
“ I’m afraid Chikorita has to stay in the pokemon center overnight. Chikorita got hurt really bad,”
Nurse Joy told Marina.
“ Okay then, I’ll pick Chikorita up in the morning tomorrow.”
“ Marina!” Kerry, Jackie, Emily and Sam shouted as they rushed in the pokemon center. Marina looked at them confused.
“ Why did you all come here? Pokemon battle techniques are going to start soon! I don’t want to get you all in trouble because of me!”
Marina said.
“ We just came to see if you were alright.”
Kerry told Marina.
“ I’m okay. Anyway, we better go to pokemon battle techniques class now, you don’t want to get battle techniques-sensei (It means teacher in Japanese, I think) mad.”
Marina told them, as the battle techniques teacher was very strict about being late for class. They agreed and started heading towards pokemon battle techniques class.
Lucky for them, they arrived a few minutes before class started. The pokemon battle techniques-sensei arrived after Marina and her group entered the class.
“ Miss May and Marina had a very interesting battle today.”
Battle techniques-sensei said as he started teaching the class battle techniques on how to win in a situation like what Marina had. Pokemon battle techniques class continued until the end of school. As this was a boarding school, most of the pupils in Rustboro Academy sleep and eat inside the school but some of the pupils who live nearby go back to their homes. Marina and Kerry were among those who lived in Rustboro Academy while Jackie, Emily and Sam went back to their homes.

Chapter 3: The new student
(Pokemon center, 1 hour before school started)
Marina was seen in the pokemon center picking up her Chikorita. Chikorita seemed to be in good condition and gave a cry to Marina that seemed to be saying that it was fine after from Torchic’s ember attack. Marina gave Chikorita a pat on its leaf and returned the grass type back in to its poke ball.

January 2nd 2005
Rustboro Academy
Art class
Everyone was in their classroom listening to the boring art talk given by their form teacher, Roxanne. Probably, everyone was listening except Marina and Kerry. Marina and Kerry were trying to hatch a plan to tease Brendan and May to make up for yesterday’s teasing fun.
“ Ok Kerry. I have just figured out the greatest plan ever I think.”

“ What is it?!” Kerry asked excitedly

“ Ok, You know how Brendan normally walks May to computer class every Tuesday? Well it’s Tuesday so. I’m going to let out Chikorita and make it use its vine whip and somehow make May trip and let Brendan catch him and we come out and tease ‘em!”

“ That’s a great idea, Marina!”

(Corridors of Rustboro Academy)
A boy who looked around the age of 12 was running about. He wore a yellow cap with his black hair sticking out, a red jacket and yellow shorts. His name? Kenta.
“Where in the world is the art classroom! I’ve been running around for so long and I still haven’t found it and plus I’m late!”
Kenta thought to himself as he glanced up a wall clock. He walked straight and found the art classroom he had been looking for and knocked on the door and entered.
(Art Class)
Almost everyone, except Marina and Kerry, stared at Kenta as they thought he went to the wrong classroom.
Kenta looked at everyone staring at him and thought he went to the wrong class.
“ Ah, You must be Kenta, the new student?”
Roxanne asked, as she knew a new student would be arriving any moment soon. Kenta just nodded his head. Roxanne walked to her desk and beckoned Kenta to follow her. Kenta did as what he was told and followed Roxanne. Lots of chatting was heard as the whole class started talking about Kenta.
Jackie and Emily, the two girls who always kept an eye out for “cute” boys as they call it started talking about Kenta. Kenta looked around the whole class who was talking about him. Something caught his eye in the class. It was Marina.
“That girl seems familiar. Where have I seen her before?” Kenta thought to himself

“ I remember now!”

(Flashback when Kenta was 10)
Kenta was on vacation at New Bark town. He was just making his way to Cherry Grove City as his cousin was living there. Kenta got a pokemon from Professor Elm as his cousin advised him to get a pokemon before heading to Cherry Grove, as on the way there had wild pokemon that would attack humans. Kenta had his pokemon, Totodile, by his side and was making his way towards the tall grass when he saw a girl with cerulean ponytails, who was wearing a small white jacket over her pink long sleeved shirt and blue shorts with a Chikorita by her side getting attacked by a group of preppy girls that looked around his age too. They had 2 Pidgey’s constantly peaking Chikorita all over the place. Chikorita kept getting hurt, as Pidgey was a type advantage to Chikorita.
“ Chikorita! Please try to dodge the attacks!”
The girl shouted as she watched her pokemon helplessly trying to dodge the attacks but could not as it was too hurt. Kenta who was watching decided to help the girl out.
“Totodile, scratch Pidgey!” Kenta shouted as Totodile jumped in to action and scratched one of the Pidgeys. The girl was sort of surprised to see a boy on her side. She thought usually boys don’t just help girls.

“ Who you think you are?” The leader of the gang yelled at Kenta.

“ You can’t just pick on a girl like that!” Kenta shouted back defending the girl.

The leader of the gang and Kenta started to quarrel. Marina took the chance and went to heal Chikorita using a potion.
“ Ok Chikorita use tackle attack!” Marina shouted as Chikorita ran to one of the Pidgeys that wasn’t hurt and tackled it using every strength it had. Pidgey fainted.
“ How can these happen?”

The leader of the gang asked as he returned his Pidgey. He couldn’t believe a grass type beat his flying type.

“ Chikorita, Tackle the other one too!” Marina shouted. Chikorita ran towards the Pidgey and tackled it. The Pidgey fainted with Xs in each of its eyes.

“ We did it, Chikorita!” Marina said happily as she praised the little grass pokemon. The leader of the gang and his gang members gave a little “Humph” and ran away.

“ Umm. Thanks for helping me out there.” Marina said to Kenta examining him.

“ That was nothing. You and your Chikorita did great.” Kenta commented.

“ Um. Thanks.” Marina blushed a bit.

“ Who are you anyway? I’m Ken-” Kenta was about to finish when Marina cut him short and said “ I got to go. Bye” and ran off.

(End flashback)

“ I wonder if she still remembers me.” Kenta thought to himself.

Marina and Kerry who still didn’t no what was going on in the class continued discussing about how to work the plan out.

“ Okay class. As usual, we’re going to assign someone to show Kenta around the school and his classes for a week. This time Marina is going to do it.” Roxanne said as many girls in the class sighed wishing it was them instead of Marina.

“ Marina!!!” Jackie and Emily shouted in unison.

“ What?”

“ You’re so lucky!!”

“Why?”

“ Yeah, I’ve got 1 question. Who is Marina?” Kenta asked.

Roxanne pointed to Marina, who had her head tilted slightly and listening to what her friends were talking about.

“Its her.” Kenta thought to himself.

“ Anymore questions?” Roxanne asked.

“ No, teacher.” Kenta replied still having no clue what was the teacher name.

“ Call me Roxanne. Must have forgotten to tell you that.”

Just at that moment, the bell rang, which means it was computer class for Marina, Kerry, May, Brendan and Drew. The rest of the class had to go for Pokemon Contests class with Roxanne.

Marina and Kerry were about to leave the class when Kenta shouted as he ran up to the two girls “ Hey! You’re supposed to show me around the school right?”

“ Oh right.” Marina said as she almost forgotten about the whole thing until Kenta told her about it.

“ Let me see your time table.” Marina said as Kenta gave Marina the piece of paper Roxanne gave him.

“ Whoa! Your classes are exactly the same as mine and Kerry!”

“ Really?” Kerry asked as she took a look at the timetable.

“ Roxanne must have put him the same timetable as us to try stop us from teasing for sure,” Kerry whispered to Marina. Marina just gave a nod.

“ We’re going to do that plan some day. Probably not with Kenta around with us.” Marina whispered back to Kerry.

Kenta looked at them whispering to each other and wondered if he said something wrong.
“ Okay to computer class!” Marina said as she started to walk towards computer class with Kerry following. Kenta followed behind Kerry.

On the way there, Marina pointed out to any classroom that was on the way to computer class. Kenta just took a mental note on where the classes were at.

They finally reached computer class and were just right on time. The computer-sensei was already there but has not started the class yet. Computer- sensei noticed Kenta was new and put him in May and Brendan’s group.

“ Hi! I’m Brendan. Who are you?” Brendan introduced himself as he tried to start a conversation with Kenta.

“ I’m Kenta.”
“ Your new right and Marina’s the one showing you around?” May asked while she twitched at saying “Marina”.

“ Uh huh. Whats so bad about her anyway?” Kenta asked noticing May twitch.

“ You don’t know her! She teases people! Especially poor Brendan and me.” May explained.

Just then, Kerry was going to hand up her homework to computer–sensei when she walked past May, Brendan and Kenta when she overheard May saying “ You don’t know her! She teases people! Especially poor Brendan and me.” Kerry guessed it must have been Marina they were talking about and then started to think about the sentence “ Especially poor Brendan and me” and thought it was a hint that May do like Brendan.

Brendan just blushed when May said that.

“ She does? Funny she got bullied by those group of girls.” Kenta said in a soft tone that neither Brendan nor May could catch.

Kenta just realized what he had said and if Brendan and May was the type that spread rumours, He’ll be dead for sure if Marina battles him with her Chikorita.

“ What did you say?” Came from a very confused Brendan and May.

“ Err nothing!” Kenta said quickly.

“ Okay.” May said

“ You want to hang out with us during lunch? I could introduce you to my friends.” Brendan offered.

“ Sure I guess.” Kenta agreed to the offer.

After Kerry handed her work to the computer-sensei, she quickly ran back to Marina and told her all about what she overheard when she walked by May, Brendan and Kenta’s table.

“ Ok Kerry, Lets forget about the plan I made today and start teasing Brendan and May with what you overheard! That other plan, we’ll do it some other time.”

The computer-sensei started his lesson by asking the students who haven’t hand up their homework to hand up now and then started teaching them how to make banners.

Marina made a banner with a picture of herself with Chikorita by her side and the words saying, “ I want to be a pokemon trainer”, Kerry made a banner that had a picture of a school and the words “ School sucks!” May made a banner with Luvdisc and herself. If May could put herself and Brendan between the Luvdisc but she would but she couldn’t, as she didn’t want Marina and Kerry to find out she do liked Brendan. Brendan just made a simple banner with one of each pokemon from the different elements while Kenta made a banner, which kind of looks like New Bark town and with the words “ I want to go home”

The bell rang and it was time for lunch. Everyone then crowded around the computer-sensei and handed up their work.

Since I decided to be nice and update so here is chapter 4 for you!

Chapter 4: Someone from New Bark?
The bell rang and it was time for lunch. Everyone then crowded around the computer-sensei and handed up their work.

“ Marina, I’ll go to the lunchroom first ok?” Kerry asked. Marina just nodded and then walked over to Kenta and waited for him so she could show him to the lunchroom.

Kenta was busy packing his things back in to his bag.

Brendan ran out of the class shouting “ Meet you at our table, Kenta!”

“ Okay.” Kenta said as he put the last of his things in to his bag. He was about to stand when he saw Marina standing by his side waiting patiently not saying a thing.

“ Uh, Sorry to keep you waiting.” Kenta apologized to Marina.

“ Its ok. Lets go to the lunchroom now. After that is another period of computer class.” Marina said as she started walking out of the door. Kenta followed behind.
They walked to the lunchroom quietly. Kenta was sort of bored and wanted to start a conversation with Marina but he never got the chance as they had reached the lunchroom.

Marina opened the door and walked in. Kenta did the same too.

“ You’re having lunch with Brendan right? His table is right there.” Marina said as she pointed to a blue table that was right at the end of the lunchroom. Marina then walked away.

(At Brendan’s table)

Brendan noticed Kenta walking and beckoned him to come to the table. Ash, Drew and Wally were already there. Kenta ran up to them.

“ Ok guys, this is Kenta, He’s new here.” Brendan said as he introduced Kenta to Ash, Drew and Wally.

“ Hi umm?” Kenta said confused, as he did not know what were their names.

“ The name’s Drew and this is Ash and Wally. Nice to meet you.” Drew said in his cocky tone as he pointed to Ash and Wally.

“ Hi” Ash and Wally said together at the same time. They started eating while talking about some boy’s stuff.

(At Marina’s table)

Marina sat down on her table while her friends talk about their classes and Kenta. Marina was lost in thoughts.

“Could he be the boy who saved me from those preppy girls 2 years ago?” Marina thought to herself as she thought Kenta looked awfully familiar.

Kerry noticed Marina wasn’t talking or eating and was in some sort of daydream mode.

“ Hey Marina? You okay? Why aren’t you talking or eating?” Kerry asked. Marina snapped from her thoughts the moment she heard Kerry say that.

“ I don’t feel very hungry. I was just thinking about how to work out the plan.” Marina lied and gave a nervous laugh.

“ Ok. So lets go and tease Brendan and May now?” Kerry asked
.
“ Ok then.” Marina agreed. Somehow she didn’t feel like teasing them today.

(At Brendan’s table)

“ I need to go to class early to finish up my work!” Ash said as he started to run to his class.

“ I’m going to help him with it.” Wally said as he chased after Ash.

“ I need to go to the toilet!!” Drew said as he made a run for the toilet.

“ Wow, Everyone needs to do something. You have something to do Kenta?” Brendan asked.

“ Yeah, I need to walk around the school to know about the classes and stuff.” Kenta said as he started climbing up the nearby staircase that leads to the library.

“ I’m all alone then I guess.” Brendan told to himself as he sighed.

May appeared from out of nowhere.

“ Hi Brendan! Want to go on a walk with me?” May asked sweetly.

“ Sure. I have nothing to do now anyway.” Brendan agreed. The duo then started to walk around the school slowly while talking about school stuff.

Marina and Kerry were following Brendan and May behind. Brendan and May did not notice Marina and Kerry following them behind.

“ Okay, on the count of 3, we’ll jump up and tease them!” Marina said softly getting her teasing fun back all of a sudden.

“ This is going to be so fun!” Kerry said excitedly.

“ 1.2…3!!” Marina shouted as both Marina and Kerry jumped in front of Brendan and May. Brendan and May got a little shocked to see Marina and Kerry in front of them suddenly.

“ What do you want now?” Brendan asked Marina.

“ Oh well, May likes you. You know? See this one’s a big hint! ‘Especially poor Brendan and me’” Marina said while using her fingers to make inverted commas at ‘Especially poor Brendan and me’
Brendan and May blushed at that. Kerry then started circling around them and chanting ‘Especially poor Brendan and me’ May was so embarrassed that she ran away. Brendan made a run for it too.

Both girls started to laugh hard as they watched Brendan and May run. They were laughing so much that they started crying. Kenta, who just happened to be one level above Marina and Kerry saw the whole thing. Anyone who passed them thought they were out of their minds.

Finally they stopped laughing.

“ That was so fun!” Kerry said happily.

“ It sure is!” Marina agreed. The bell rang and they headed to computer class. They talked about how Brendan and May reacted to that and all about the whole teasing thing as they walked to computer class.

When they got there, almost everyone was there except the teacher. Marina and Kerry looked at Brendan and May and started to laugh again. Kenta heard the sound of laughter and looked at Marina and Kerry who were laughing non-stop. Brendan and May just blushed and their face was almost as red as an apple. Kenta wondered what was up with Marina, Kerry, Brendan and May.

The computer-sensei finally entered the class with the class banners that was printed out. He gave the whole stack of banners to Marina to give it out. Marina started going around the class giving banners back to their respective owners. Marina giggled when she saw May’s banner. After May’s banner was Kerry’s then it was Kenta’s. Marina stared at the banner as it reminded her of her hometown, New Bark town.

“ I wonder if he lives there too. That must be impossible. I’ve never seen him hanging around at New Bark before professor Elm sent me here to study.” Marina thought to herself as she gave the banner back to Kenta.

“ You live at New Bark too?” Marina asked suddenly. Kenta just nodded. Marina went back to giving out the banners. The computer-sensei just went back on banner making saying that some of them did it wrong and told those who did it wrong how to do it.
By the time, the computer-sensei finished explaining on how to make banners again it was time for library class.

This time, Kenta finished packing his stuff earlier and was ready to go to library class. He walked up to Marina. Marina just left the class and Kenta followed behind. Kenta thought about the question Marina had asked earlier.

“ You live in New Bark too?” Kenta asked trying to start a conversation with Marina.

“ Yeah. I live with the professor. How about you?”

“ You live with the professor? You’re his daughter?” Kenta asked while he examined Marina but he realized that Marina didn’t look like the professor at all.

“I live in the house that was just recently builded.”

“ How I lived with the professor has to do with my past and you don’t want to hear it really and how come I don’t see you around New Bark before I went to this boarding school?”

“ I was living with my cousin in Cherry grove city for about 3 months or so. My family just went to Cherry grove for a vacation. My mother suddenly fell in love with the place especially New Bark town and asked if there was any houses empty so we could live in there but there wasn’t any houses empty at that time but there was one that was going to be builded in 3 months time so we stayed in Cherry grove till the house was builded.”

“Hey. My ex-parents house was empty still then how come his family didn’t move in there?” Marina thought.

They finally reached library class. Kerry noticed them and ran up to them.

“ Guess what?” Kerry asked.

“ What?” Marina and Kenta said in unison

“ The teacher isn’t here today! Yay! Isn’t that cool?” Kerry asked.

“ That’s cool.” Marina, who hated their library teacher, said.

Kenta walked away and sat on a bench watching what everyone was doing. Marina walked to the bench Kenta was sitting on and sat down next to him.

“Eh?” Kenta said, as he was surprised Marina was sitting with him.

“ I just wanted to talk you about New Bark town.” Marina said.

They then started talking about it. How wonderful was it, the starter pokemon from the professor and stuff like that.

“ May mentioned that you tease people and from what I saw you really do. Why? You don’t seem bad at all.” Kenta asked Marina.

Chapter 5: Marina’s past (Side story)
“ May mentioned that you tease people and from what I saw you really do. Why? You don’t seem bad at all.” Kenta asked Marina.

After Kenta asked that Marina started thinking about her past.

(Flashback 2 years ago)

* Screen turns white as 10-year-old, Marina appears and started talking *

“ What was wrong with the world? I never really did anything to offend the oh so not ‘beautiful’ preppy girls of New Bark. They were just preppy girls anyway. They started teasing me for some reason I really don’t know. I feel like crying every time they tease me. I think it was just because someone saved me from their little battle and they started teasing. Hey actually, I should be the one teasing them for losing to me and some boy!”

“ I don’t know to be thankful to the boy or hate him instead. I was thankful that he came to my rescue and I hate him for causing those preppy girls to laugh at me and tease me. Every time they started teasing me, I feel my hatred burning for the boy who saved me but I stop and think after all he did save my Chikorita from being killed by their Pidgey’s peak attack. If not, I probably wouldn’t have that sweet smelling grass type by my side anymore.”

“ I never went on a pokemon journey as my parents wouldn’t allow so I lived in New Bark with those preppy girls that teased me almost every single day. They always start laughing at me the moment my eyes get teary-eyed. I hate the sound of their maniacal laughter. Its noise pollution to my ears! I try to avoid them but I never can, as there were too many of them. The moment I run away from them they chase after me. I was quite a good runner so I dodged them easily. But soon I got tired and then they surrounded me and started teasing me about my hair, name, pokemon and the way I dress.”

“ My parents didn’t even know I was being bullied by them and let me suffer a year at New Bark with those preppy girls that teased and bullied me. My simple-minded parents even thought we were good friends! Well we’re not! During that whole year, I hated my parents. Do they even care about me? No! They never cared about my hopes and dreams. All they ever wanted me to do is become a pokemon genius. I hated the idea of that as ever since I saw trainers coming to the professor’s lab and getting a starter pokemon I always wanted to be a trainer. I never got the chance, as my parents were more interested in me being a pokemon genius. All parents are heartless. When I was almost 11, my simple-minded heartless parents finally saw I was being bullied after 12 months of hell! They sent me to Violet city, pokemon trainer school there so I wouldn’t have to meet up with those idiots and study about pokemon. I was quite glad to leave New Bark as I wouldn’t have to see my heartless parents and those preppy girls anymore!”

“ During my whole 1 year at Violet city, I never got a single “ I miss you” letter from my parents. That shows they don’t care about me not even a single bit! When I was in pokemon trainer’s school, my so-called friends teased me, as I was top of the class for every subject. I was only top as I used to go to the professor’s lab and accompanied him on his trips studying pokemon. They called me all sorts of name. I feel the hatred for them like how I felt for my parents and the preppy girls at New Bark. Other than that, I was happy to be at Violet city. I sat near the window so each day I would be able to see a trainer with his starter pokemon from the professor at New Bark enters the gym and doesn’t come out for about an hour or so. They then come out with a shinning badge in their hand. I envy them being able to go on their journey while I’m stuck in here studying.”

“ After the whole school year at Violet city, pokemon trainer’s school was over. Almost every kid there had their parents to pick them up. I looked around for mine but they weren’t even there. I started cursing my parents silently as I started heading home with Chikorita by my side. Chikorita and I had such a hard time getting back to New Bark. We arrived at New Bark all dirty and very hungry about a week later. I was still okay but Chikorita wasn’t. Chikorita had a hard time battling all those pokemon that we met along the way home. Chikorita, who hurt so badly couldn’t even walk so I had to carry Chikorita in my arms. That was a little difficult, as I had to carry my luggage along too. The grass type helped me a bit by holding my luggage with one of its long vines. We then walked towards my house like that.”

“ We arrived in front of my house. I put Chikorita down so I could open the door. I was about to open the door when the preppy girls of New Bark town jumped out from behind my house. Somehow, they knew I was going home. They saw me all dirty with Chikorita. Chikorita looked at the gangsters with a tired look on its face. The preppy girls started teasing me about how dirty I was and how smelly I was. I could hear their sickening yuck’s. I never bath in days so I was dirty and smelly. Chikorita shut them up using its vines and whipped them harshly using every strength it had left. They were those who had parents that did not dare to whip them when they did something wrong so they ran away like chickens from Chikorita and I. While they were running away, I could hear their “Ouch’s”

“ Thanks Chikorita. You didn’t have to do that. You’re tired enough already. If you didn’t do that, I was about to slap them anyway.” I said to my grass type pokemon who gave me a weak smile in return."

“ I entered the house with Chikorita following behind. Chikorita did not have enough strength left to carry the luggage and used one of its vines and hit me with it lightly and pointed to it. I got the message and carried the luggage in. I closed the door. My parents weren’t home. I looked at the calendar that was hanging on the wall. It was Monday and it was 3pm so they weren’t home because they had to go to work.”

“ I returned my poor Chikorita who looked like it was going to die any moment. I quickly returned it to its poke ball while I went and took a bath and changed in to clean, dry clothes. I then ran to the professor’s lab asking him to heal Chikorita. He agreed to heal Chikorita. He opened the poke ball and my Chikorita came out of the ball with its eyes almost closing.”

“ Your Chikorita is in really bad shape.” The professor told me as I started to explain why.

“ The professor shook his head in dismay that my parents did not even pick me up and cause me to travel back here with so much difficulty! He told me that he would do his best to heal Chikorita and knock some sense in to my parents about looking after me. I thanked the professor and went back to my house with limping. I just noticed that I had cut my knee when Chikorita and I were running away from the Pidgey’s that tried to attack Chikorita on our way here.”

“I went back home and bandaged my knee. I made myself some sandwiches to eat, as I was ravenous. After eating, I spent pretty much of the day sitting on my bed thinking about poor Chikorita. After about 4 hours, my parents have arrived home. I decided to go meet them and went out of my bedroom slowly and went to the kitchen where my mother was cooking dinner. My father was sitting on the chair reading the newspaper. I said hello to him and he was pretty much surprised to see me back home.”

“ He asked me what am I doing back home. After hearing this I was so mad. They did not even bother to remember which day school ended for the year! I gave rude answer to him saying that school was over for the rest of the year. He then shouted to my mother in the kitchen to cook more as I was back home. My mother was surprised as my father was before. I sat down on the chair sulking and wondering why did I ever have such parents?”

“ My mother finally finished cooking and we were about to eat when a “Ding Dong” was heard coming from the door. I guessed that must have been the professor coming over to knock some sense in to my parents and maybe with Chikorita too. My mother went to answer the door and was surprised to see the professor standing on our doormat with Chikorita who looked back to normal again by his side. Chikorita gave my mother a cold hard glare, which said, “ How can you not care about Marina? She’s a poor thing really! She doesn’t have any friends except for me.” The professor just said about he wanted to come over and talk about looking after Marina.

“ My mother welcomed him inside our house. The professor and Chikorita entered. The moment Chikorita stepped in the house it looked left and right for me. Chikorita saw me at the dinning table giving cold glares at my father but he did not seem to notice. Chikorita then started running towards me. I smelt the familiar smell of Chikorita. I turned around and saw Chikorita standing in front of me with what I call its happy look on its face. I hugged the little grass type.”

“ I stop hugging the grass type when the professor said that my parents did not take of me well. My parents just dumbly said that they did but well they did NOT! I yelled at them saying that they never took care of me! You never even went to pick me up when it was the end of school! You cause me to get so many injuries while I make my way here with Chikorita. I showed them all the bruises and cuts I got. I had bruises and cuts all over my arms and legs. They were just shocked at that. I bet they never even noticed that if I never mentioned that.”

“ The professor just said that I was right that they never cared for me. They again dumbly said that they did. A quarrel then result. The professor who pretty much pitied me decided that my parents weren’t fit to look after a child and offered me that I should go and live with him. Of course my parents disagreed at this. I just wanted to leave my sickening parents, yelled at them that I hated them ever since I was 10. I then started sobbing asking them why did they have to stop caring about me. They used to shower so much love for me when I was younger and now they don’t even care if I was at home or not!”

“ They just told me to stay out of adults business. What do they think I am? A little 3-year-old kid? Well they should get this in their minds that I’m almost 12 and I know how to make decisions! I just went to the professor’s side and told my sickening parents that I want to be with the professor. They of course started telling me that who was the one that looked after me when I was sick and stuff like that. They were about to continue saying that until I said, ‘ both of you are ****ING ASSHOLES who don’t even care if your CHILD is back home or NOT!’ They just looked at me with that looked that a knife just pierced through their hearts. Well, they did not know how I felt when they did not care about me. I felt more than a knife piercing through my heart. I just felt that my whole life was over.”

“ The professor just took my hand and left the house with Chikorita following behind leaving my parents sobbing. The professor brought me to his house while he made my room ready. He then left the house to go back to my ex-parent’s house to get all my belongings. My ex-parents just watched while crying hard as the professor took my belongings to his house and placing them in my new room. After the professor was done with bringing my belongings, it was time for me to go to bed. Before I went to bed, I cuddled Chikorita up. I gave Chikorita a thank you for being my only friend who comforts me when I got teased, bullied and now having parents that did not care. I then started to cry silently. My tears dropping on Chikorita’s leaf. Chikorita just pet me on my back using its vines and said something in poke language that I could not understand but I think Chikorita said that I was its best friend and trainer forever.”

“ The next day after the terrible night for my ex-parents, they moved away to somewhere in Kanto. They probably just moved, as they couldn’t bear to see me with their close friend. I lived happily until a new school year started.”

“ And so that’s all about my past.” Almost 12, Marina ends her story, as the screen turns black.

that's how paragraphs work! Okay? Unfortunately, this doesn't work on sppf, since all of the senteces like go on one edge....... So, i don't recommend using that........

XD that's a good point, but don't try that here...just use spaces in between character's speaking and normal paragraphs...i mix mine together though...

After Kerry handed her work to the computer-sensei, she quickly ran back to Marina and told her all about what she overheard when she walked by May, Brendan and Kenta’s table.

“ Ok Kerry, Lets forget about the plan I made today and start teasing Brendan and May with what you overheard! That other plan, we’ll do it some other time.”

The computer-sensei started his lesson by asking the students who haven’t hand up their homework to hand up now and then started teaching them how to make banners.

Chapter 6: Betrayal

“ May mentioned that you tease people and from what I saw you really do. Why? You don’t seem bad at all.” Kenta asked Marina.

“ Oh that? That has to do with my past. When I was 10 to 11 years old, I got teased by other people so I decided to tease people instead.” Marina said giving a short summary of her terrible past.

Kerry, who was bored and had nothing to do, was listening to Marina and Kenta’s conversation and got even bored. Joan, a 13-year-old girl with black hair wearing a white blouse, a short red skirt, and black shoes with red stripes on it, saw Kerry and beckoned her to follow. Kerry thought something was up but still followed Joan.

Joan lead Kerry to a table with Linda and Lisa, Linda and Lisa who both had black hair and was wearing a yellow dress with a white ribbon on it, white stockings and yellow shoes, they were the only twins in the whole of Rustboro Academy, sitting on the chairs. Kerry looked at her old friends before she left them to become friends with Marina.

“ What you want?” Kerry asked Linda.

“ Well, We’ve been watching you hanging out with Marina. You look sort of say bored hanging out with her. How about you join us and forget about Marina?” Lisa asked offering Kerry to join them.

What Lisa just said was true. Kerry was bored of hanging out with Marina and creating trouble because she did not find it fun as Marina was the one always getting in to trouble. Kerry just wanted to feel how getting in trouble feels like but she never got the chance and so agreed to Lisa’s offer.

Lisa, Linda and Joan cheered at this when Kerry joined back their group. Lisa, Linda and Joan had been enemies with Marina ever since Marina joined the school and snatched Kerry away from them. Kerry was a little unsure of what she was doing but then she stopped and think that this was what she really wanted. To be away from Marina.

Marina and Kenta just continued their little talk about New Bark town. Soon, Library class was over and then school was over. Lisa, Linda and Joan also lived in the school so they went to the hall and started playing catch with Kerry.

“ Your going home or your staying in the school?” Marina asked dumbly as she forgotten Kenta came from New Bark.

Before Kenta could answer, Marina slapped her forehead and said “ Ok I forget that you came from New Bark so its impossible for you to go home. To the dormitory”

Marina then started walking down the stairs and towards the dormitory. Kenta followed behind Marina. On the way to the dormitory, they had to pass the hall. When they did, Marina noticed Kerry playing with Lisa, Linda and Joan. Her enemies. Marina was enraged by this and walked up to Kerry angrily.

“ Why are you playing with our enemies?!” Marina asked angrily.

“ They’re not enemies. They are my friends.” Kerry said simply.

“ Are you out of your mind? They’re enemies!”

“ Marina, Marina. You just don’t get it do you? Kerry has chosen what is the best and decided to join us and forget about you.” Joan explained.

Marina looked at her first best friend besides Chikorita, Kerry. How could Kerry do such a thing to her? Marina remembered the first day she came to Rustboro Academy. Kerry was such a good friend to her and she even thought they were best friends but it turns out that they weren’t.

“ Looks like Chikorita is my only friend I can trust.” Marina thought to herself sadly.

“ Please Kerry. Please snap out of this!” Marina pleaded as she walked towards Kerry.
Marina hated the thought of losing her only friend at Rustboro Academy.

Kerry just started to walk away from Marina and towards Lisa, Linda and Joan.

“ Sorry Marina, but I really don’t want to be friends anymore!” Kerry shouted at Marina.

Marina, who still couldn’t accept the fact that Kerry was against her ran towards to Lisa and said angrily “ What have you done with her! Give me back the true Kerry!”

“ Marina! Get a hold of yourself! Kerry doesn’t want to be your friend and wants to be ours!” Linda scolded Marina.

“ C’mon Kerry drop the act!” Marina shouted.

Lisa, Linda and Joan decided to teach Marina a lesson and sent out their pokemon.

Two Charmanders, the fire dinosaur pokemon had a small fire burning on its tail, and a Bellsprout, which looks like a walking bean sprout, appeared in front of Marina guarding Kerry.

“ Fine. You want to do the hard way then. Go Chikorita!” Marina said as she threw Chikorita’s poke ball, her style.

The grass type pokemon who was trained to be aggressive by Marina when she was being teased by her friends a few years ago, came out of the pokeball and growled at the pokemon.

Lisa and Linda, The owner’s of the Charmander started laughing at Marina.

“ You can’t win! We’ve got a type advantage against you wittle Chikorita!” Lisa and Linda said in unison mocking Marina and Chikorita.

“Chika! Chikorita! Chikari!” The grass type said angrily, with its vines swaying getting ready to smack Lisa and Linda.

“ Joan, what’s the little thing saying?” Lisa asked Joan who understand pokemon language a little.

“ It says you can’t tease Marina like that! I’ll teach you a lesson to tease my trainer! Witches!” Joan translated for Lisa and Linda.

“ What the heck! That Chikorita knows how to say some really mean things. You’re a bad trainer, Marina!” Lisa said mocking.

Marina just ignored them and said “ Go ahead Chikorita, I’m not stopping you from doing it.”

Lisa, Linda and Joan was puzzled at what Marina said. Chikorita gave a little grin and then used its vines and smacked Lisa, Linda and Joan harshly.

“ OUCH!!” The trio cried out when they felt the vines, which felt like a cane instead, touched them. Kenta, who had been watching the whole time, was shocked at that. He couldn’t believe that two years ago, Marina was the one being bullied and now she is bullying others. He stopped and thought for a while, those 3 girls enraged her by taking Kerry away and then Kerry goes against her.

“ I’ve probably done the same too.” Kenta thought to himself as he watched Marina.

“ Ugh!” Lisa cried out as the vines whacked her again.

Linda, who not stand the pain anymore, cried out to her Charmander, “ Charmander. Ember that grass type now!”

Charmander obeyed its trainer and spat out some tiny fireballs at Chikorita. Chikorita, who had high speed when it had to run away with Marina when she was being teased, dodged the ember attack easily.

“ How can it do that?” Linda asked Marina.

“ That is a secret.” Marina said smirking at Linda. Marina watched Linda’s Charmander as it kept trying to fire ember at Chikorita and Chikorita dodging it every round and Linda’s face was becoming pale started to laugh like she went nuts.

“ Lisa! Do something!” Linda yelled to her twin sister, who was doing nothing except watching.

“ Okay. Charmander, Chase after Chikorita and ember it when you get close!” Lisa told her Charmander. Her Charmander obeyed and started to chase after Chikorita.

Chikorita, who was getting a little tired, couldn’t run so fast since there are 2 Charmander’s after it got hurt by Lisa and Linda’s Charmander ember attack.

Chikorita’s leaf started burning. Chikorita went running around like a human would do trying to get the fire off itself.

Kenta decided to help Marina out since 2 on 1 isn’t fair and he sent out his Totodile. Marina just stared at him.

“ Okay. Kenta must be the boy who saved me! I’m sure! He looks exactly like him and he has a Totodile too!” Marina thought to herself.

“ Totodile dile!” The blue dinosaur water pokemon cried out its battle cry as it started hopping.

“ Totodile, Water gun the Charmanders now!” Kenta shouted as he pointed to the Charmanders. Totodile just hopped to the Charmanders and shoot its mighty water gun at them. The water gun attack put out the fire on Chikorita’s leaf and it weakened the Charmanders.

“ Hey! You can’t just butt in the pokemon battle!” The twins exclaimed at Kenta.
“ Well 2 against one isn’t fair either! I’m just making things fair.” Kenta said as Totodile sprayed the Charmanders another water gun attack. The Charmanders fainted, as Totodile had the type advantage.

“ Joan! Help us out!” Lisa cried out.

“ Ok. Bellsprout, use absorb on the puny Totodile now!” Joan shouted to her pokemon.

The sprout pokemon went to Totodile and was about to use absorb on Totodile when Chikorita used razor leaf at it and knocked it down it’s feet.

“ Grr. Use your razor leaf too!” Joan ordered her pokemon. Bellsprout twisted its body and fired two spinning leaves at Totodile. Chikorita used solar beam stopped this.

“ WHAT!!!!” Joan shouted. Totodile took the chance and used bite on Bellsprout. Bellsprout fainted.

“ Double WHAT!” Joan shouted as she noticed her Bellsprout faint.

“ So you won Marina, but I still don’t want to be friends with you!” Kerry shouted at Marina as she ran off. Lisa, Linda and Joan just ran off too but before they ran off they returned their pokemon back into their poke balls.

Marina and Kenta returned their pokemon. Marina was about to continue to show Kenta the way to the dormitory when Roxanne appeared behind from the stage.
Marina was expecting a scolding from Roxanne but instead of a scolding Roxanne said “ Nice double battle, Marina and Kenta! Your pokemon really takes on both of your personalities.” After saying that, Roxanne just walked away. Marina blushed at that as she understood what Roxanne meant but Kenta was just plain puzzled.

Marina made her way to the dormitory. Kenta just followed behind. They finally reached there; Marina brought him to the 5 empty beds at the boy’s side, which was there for the new students. Kenta took the first bed from the 5.

Marina then walked to her bed and let out Chikorita, who was hurt a bit but was still okay. Marina glanced at the bed beside her. It was Kerry’s. Marina noticed Kerry’s stuff weren’t there anymore so she thought that Kerry must have moved to where Lisa, Linda and Joan were sleeping.

“ Tell me, Chikorita, what is wrong with me? What did I ever do to Kerry that she hated me?” Marina asked as her cerulean eyes began to water.

“Chika!” The grass type said in pokemon language which sort of meant ‘you never did anything! Kerry betrayed you and went with your enemy instead! But that’s okay you still have me.’

“ I know, I have you but I can’t believe Kerry would do this to me! I thought we were best friends but we’re not.” Marina said as she started to cry. A few blue and glistering tears fell on Chikorita’s leaf. Chikorita just gave a little pat on Marina’s back using its vines trying to comfort her.

“ My life is so sad. I never had any friends except for you, Chikorita. You’re my only friend, I’ve ever had.” Marina said as she continued to cry.

“ Chika.” Chikorita said, as it felt bad for Marina. Chikorita knew how it was like having no friends as it grew up among all the Chikorita’s in Johto but the Chikorita’s there never became friends with it so it lead a sad life until the professor caught it.

“ Rustboro is going to be as terrible as in New Bark and Violet city.” Marina said while crying as she thought how her life was when she was at New Bark and Violet city.
“Chikari!” (Translation: I’m sure it’s not going to be so bad!)

“ No Chikorita, its already bad! Kerry left me and now I don’t have any other friend expect from you. I really wonder why people don’t want to make friends with me? Am I different or what?” Marina asked Chikorita.

Although Kenta was right at the back of the dormitory, he could hear what Marina and Chikorita were saying very clearly. Kenta pitied Marina as Kerry just left her for someone else.

“ Chi..” The grass type said, as it felt sad for Marina. To the grass type, nothing was wrong with Marina, it felt that her friends were the one that was wrong. Marina was just a normal girl that gets teased all the time when she was younger.

“ I hate this world. Nothing is ever right for me! I wished I could be a pokemon like you too, Chikorita. To have a trainer that cares about you, earning badges for your trainer. I bet if I were a pokemon, my life would be completely different! I’ll have friends and a wonderful trainer who cares.” Marina said sadly as she stopped crying for a while but started again. Chikorita looked at Marina.

Chikorita was not pleased with Marina saying that she wished to be a pokemon, to Chikorita, Marina was the trainer what Marina had already described the only thing that she couldn’t go on a pokemon journey. If Marina wasn’t her trainer and was a pokemon instead, it would have been sadder than it was now.

May, who forgotten to take her books back home, was in the dormitory and was about to head to the library where she left her books. May was about to climb the stairs leading to the hall, when she heard Marina, who sounded as if she had been crying, talking to someone in the dormitory.

May decided to check out what was up with Marina. May followed the sound of Marina’s voice and then found herself behind the wall that separated the girl’s side from the boy’s side. May could hear Marina crying while talking to her Chikorita.

“ Why is God so unfair to me? Other people don’t have to go through what I am now. Other people have lots of friends like May and the rest of the people at Rustboro except for me. I don’t even have a friend except for Chikorita.” Marina said to no one in particular. Chikorita looked at its trainer sadly.

May was listening to what Marina had said. May couldn’t believe her ears. Marina, the school pest with her friend Kerry hanging with her all the time had no friends? Marina had got to be kidding.

Marina was continuing how her life was so terrible and May kept leaning and leaning against the wall to hear what Marina was saying. May then lose her balance and fell to the floor where Marina and Chikorita were staring at her.

“Hi? Sorry, I was eavesdropping on your conversation. I was just wondering about what you said that you don’t have any friends. Kerry is your friend right?”

Marina sighed and looked at May wondering whether to tell her about what had happened. Marina then made her mind up that she would tell May what had happen.

“ Well you see, Kerry and I aren’t friends anymore. S-she befriended my e-enemy and so we’re not friends anymore.” Marina said as she started to cry thinking about Kerry.

“ Don’t cry. I know how it feels. I had a friend that did the same to me too!” May said trying to comfort Marina. May stopped and think for a while.

“ May Maple! What are you thinking? This is Marina, you’re comforting. Not anyone else. How could you comfort Marina even though she annoys the heck out of you?” May’s conscience told herself. May then shook her head and told her conscience mentally “ Hey. She can’t be all bad can she? She’s lost a friend and I know how it felt. I was so depressed when Melanie left me.”

Marina looked at May. Marina just couldn’t believe that May was comforting her! Thinking of that made her feel sort of sad, as she had been teasing May at every chance she got.

“ Why are you comforting me anyway? I thought I was like enemy to you.” Marina asked.

“ Well, you were my enemy but then I know how it feels like when a friend betrays you for your enemy so I thought I would try to comfort you.”

“ Ohh.”

“ I also heard that you didn’t have any friends so I was wondering if we could be friends?” May offered Marina to be her friend.

Marina stopped crying and stared at May with her mouth open. May asking her if she wanted to be friends? Marina didn’t know what to say. Of course she wanted to be friends with May but she was quite sad at the fact she had been teasing May.

“ Okay.” Marina said accepting her offer.

“ Cool! Just don’t tease me and Brendan too much okay?”

“ I won’t.” Marina promised May.

“ Alright, now I’d better be going to the library to get my books and go home before my parents start worrying.” May said as she left the dormitory.

Marina watched as May left. Chikorita looked at Marina who looked happy and completely forgot about Kerry.

“Chika!” Chikorita cried out happily for Marina as Marina had a friend now. Marina thought of becoming friends with May and how her year would turn out to be.

“ Maybe my life isn’t so bad after all.” Marina thought to herself.
