Hidden Mew

This is my first fan fiction. I have had this story for awhile, but it took me some time to type it. I'm going to have around 20 or 30 something chapters The prologue and epilogue won't count as chapters. I'm starting out with the prologue so I'm not sure if it is too short or not. At some point, a pokemon becomes the narrator and if you know what it is, please wait until after I post the first chapter where it will be revealed. I doing that to add some suspense and mystery in the story. Please give your comments on my story. I am opened to make any changes. Thank you and enjoy.

Prologue: History

Long ago, the earth was pure, freed from all evil. Every creature was connected through the mind and the spirit. Everyone helped one another in order to contain that peace. Sadly, that harmony was slowly turned as dark as tantied water.

Centuries past and no one knew of this darkness, yet it was everywhere and slowly grasping its forces all over the world. One day, the skies turned black, but there weren’t any clouds in the sky. Every human eye glared up at the sky; their eyes couldn’t away from the darkness. Suddenly, it started to rain, but only on the people. The pokemon in all parts of the world didn’t see or feel a single rain drop nor the dark sky. The black skies and rain disappeared as quickly as they came. Once the rain ended, the age of catching began.

*********

My first memories were joyous. My mother and I were playing constantly, as do all of our kind. Having fun wherever we went We were so happy and I thought our happiness would never end. One day, though, all of that changed forever.

Shortly after my first celebration of my life, my mother said that bad people were after us. She said that they would hurt us if they were to discover our location. I knew when my mother was serious so I promised to follow her instructions. For weeks we were flying away through the mountains from the bad people. Some people were wearing black shirts with a red r on the chest, pants, and hat; others were dressed in red hooded coats or in sailors outfits. They sent out many kinds of pokemon, but my mother was able to defend the both of us. After being chased by what seemed like forever, the leader of the red hooded coat people called out his strongest pokemon from a red and white ball.

Go, Houndoom!,” the man yelled out as light came straight out of the ball to form a black dog with horns its head and armor all over its body. “Attack with your Fire Blast to burn this whole forest to the ground,” the man commanded.

His Houndoom focused its energy inside its body to form a large ball of fire in its mouth. Soon the ball became larger and finally formed a cross of fire that was so large that it was taller than all the trees in the forests. The earth became engulfed in the Fire Blast; nothing could escape from this blazing inferno.

All of the forest pokemon, like the small brown Pidgey and the purple mouse Rattata, were running in terror, but there was no where to go; not even the flying pokemon could escape from the choking smoke. I heard the man’s laughter, it was like he and his friends had no hearts at all for the innocent creatures that have been destroyed.

My mother and I heard them coming closer and my mother pushed me toward our safe route that would take us to our new home.

“Go, my daughter. I want to hold these people off so you can get to safety,” my mother ordered.

“No, mother. I don’t want to lose you,” I begged. “Please don’t do this!”

“I must, my little love. But don’t worry about me. I'll be back and we will go to our new home together,” she replied. As my eyes were filling up with tears, I felt that I heard my mother speaking to me through our minds “My daughter, I will always be with you.”[I]

With that being said, my mother went back to the forest to stop those bad people. That was the last time I saw my mother.

I hope you have all enjoyed this story.

Here it is, the first chapter. Please read, review, and rate my work as soon as possible. It is a long chapter, so be prepared for a long read, but it is good. I hope you all enjoy.

Chapter 1: How it All Began

This is my story of my evolution as a person. To understand who I am, people need to know who I was before. Like all living creatures, I was born and I had two people who were responsible for my existence, a mother and a father. I do not remember them because they disappeared soon after my birth. No one knew who they were or where they went; they appeared in Little Root Town just weeks before I was born and hid themselves from everyone else.

I was born with a disease so horrible that no one told me what it was. After my parents disappeared, there wasn’t anyone who was willing and able to take care of a burden like me. I had to stay in the hospital for treatment and once the doctors were done with me, they had to place me in the local orphanage. I spent over ten years in and out of the hospital and the orphanage. During those years, I never felt that there was something wrong with me but every time I made that point, the doctors would shake their heads and do more tests on me.

The main event during those years was finding my name. When I was four, I still did not have my own name, thanks to this disease that everyone saw except me. Everyone thought that I would die at any time, so they never gave me a name. Instead, the doctors and nurses labeled me as N-16. All the hospital staff members and the children in the hospital and the orphan called me by that number. I hated being called N-16 because it didn’t feel right to be associated with who I am. I wanted a special name, but no one paid any attention to me.

One day, I was in the orphan, a small, broken down building, full of children from ages one to sixteen, when everyone yelled out, “N-16!,” I heard them, but I didn’t respond to that label. Some of them came up to me, questioning why I didn’t come, but I didn’t answer any of their questions. I wasn’t a Growlithe; I don’t instantly answer anyone’s call. I had to get away from all of those children, so I locked myself in my room. My room was the only thing I treasured. It was small and every part of the room was blue: the floor, the walls, and the ceiling. My room was like the ocean and the sky, one reflecting the other. I was able to save enough coins to buy a lock for the door and I used it everyday.

Since no one would give me a name, I decided to give myself a name. I wanted something unique and special, none of the names that I have heard in the hospital or the orphan. I went into my room at 9:00 am, right after the breakfast of cold cereal with a red apple. I just laid down on my bed and looked at the ceiling, looking for my name. I focused my mind to find my true name, the one I was born with. I didn’t move from my bed for hours, believing that I could lose my name if I moved. It had turned 9:00 am to 10:00 pm in seconds. I was so tired that I could have slept with my eyes open. I finally gave into sleep and was out like a light. I was awaken by a voice within me, a voice that felt pure and peaceful.

"Keiko, you are truly born.”

I woke up the second the voice had ceased. Keiko. What a wonderful name that I had inside of me for four, nearly five, years. From then on, I begged everyone in the hospital and orphan to call me Keiko. Unfortunately, they all ignored my name that I viewed as a treasure worth more than gold.

Since then, I spent more years in and out of the hospital and the orphan. Nothing changed during those years. The hospital remade the scariest place on earth with all the sharp needle pushed into all of my veins and the machines that were so used to my body that they couldn’t tell if I had a cold. The building itself was a dull grey with the common red cross on the front entrance. Every one of the thousand windows looked the same, which always gave the feeling of loneliness and emptiness when stared at.

When I turned ten, I wanted to become a trainer so much. From all my reading in the town library, the only building painted a light blue color that gave me a sense of safety, other than my room, I learned that at ten years of age, a person could get their first pokemon from Professor Birch, the town’s Professor. Many people who have pokemon want to become the best pokemon master, the best breeder, the best coordinator, or the best gym leader. I had a deeper desire for pokemon than any of those other trainers I saw year after year, who were giddy with happiness from getting their first pokemon.

All my life, I never had a friend. People always seem to have a frighten look strike their faces the moment they see me. It could have been my illness or maybe they saw something I couldn’t see. My face always was free from spots or pimples and my long brown hair never covered my blue-green eyes to make me look like a monster. Pokemon always appeared to be friendly and give love to their trainers. I didn’t want to have all 386 pokemon, I just wanted a friend. My first pokemon could be my only pokemon and I wouldn’t mind. Sadly, I was denied that right of passage at ten because orphans couldn’t get their own pokemon. For the next six years, everything was the same as I saw other trainers come and go.

After I turned sixteen, I was treated as an adult by some of the doctors, but I was still seen as a child. I had to stay in the orphan until I was eighteen and I would have to go to the hospital everyday after that. No one told me what the doctors were doing to me and I couldn’t stop them. One night, as I was staying in the hospital overnight for some test results, I felt a flash of light going through the entire building. The light woke me up, but it made me feel out of place in my body. I had a draining feeling from the light, so I went back to sleep. I woke up that morning with my long, brown hair covering my face. It took me a bit of time before my blue-green eyes were competely opened. Normally, I would see other children in bed or hear the laughter of children in the hallway, but I didn’t see nor heard anything. I got up and slowly seared the grey colored hospital building. There weren’t any doctors, nurses, children, or anyone around. After an hour of searching, I changed from my blue pajamas to my blue shirt with my dark blue sweatshirt, my blue jeans, and my light blue shoes, and I left the hospital.

To my amazement, no one was outside, either. All of the stores and buildings were locked up, as if people were expecting a storm was coming on a clear, sunny, spring day. I felt abandoned by the whole town and out of depression, I fell on my knees and cried. Out of my sobs I screamed, “Is anyone out here? Please, help me. Can anyone hear me?” No one came.

I continued my search for any form of life in this little, famous town. I saw Professor Birch’s laboratory and through the window I got a view of the machine that once held Treekco, a green, wood gecko grass type pokemon, Torchic, an orange-yellow colored fire chick type pokemon, and Mudkip, a little blue water type pokemon that looked like a puppy. All of the professors always give out the same types of pokemon th beginner trainers, but I wanted to do things different. Ignoring all the dangers of both wild pokemon and the law if I were to be caught in the act, I got my own pokeball from the local PokeMart. I left money in the store’s mail box for this ball that had red on the top and white on the bottom. I quickly got my bag from the hospital and packed everything I could carry. I vowed never to return to Little Root town after this. I went back to the orphan to see my room one last time. It was hard to picture life without a safe place to go to, like my room. I promised myself that when I get my own house, I would paint everything blue. I closed and locked the door to my room one last time.

I ran to Route 103 to capture a pokemon. For some reason, every pokemon I saw ran in terror at the sight of me, even before I got my pokeball out. Just as I was about to give up, I heard the saddest, yet the softest cry that I ever heard in my life. I went to comfort this desolate creature and then the cry turned into a call. “Keiko!,” the creature cried. I ran to see if it was in pain and to find out how this being knew my true name. I saw lights similar to the ones of the night before, but they didn’t drain me of my strength. I was careful not to look directly into the light so I could find the one crying my name. I finally saw this creature, a pokemon, crying its heart out, making its eyes appear to be pools of tears. The cries could be heard, yet its mouth didn’t move. I never knew this pokemon was native to this region. When I saw those blue eyes, I lose all sense of where I was and began to feel its pain. For what felt like forever, I stared into the soul of the rarest pokemon of them all, Mew.
******

From a post I read in another form, I think Keiko's name is in another anime. However, I researched japanese girl names and I chose this name for its meaning, which I will reveal in the next chapter or two. I hope you have enjoyed this chapter. Please review when you can. Thanks again.

o.o It's really good, and the plot is quite original..though there are some errors..

I had to stay in the orphan until I was eighteen and I would have to go to the hospital everyday after that.
Orphan should be orphanage.

There are a few others, but I can't find them. ~_~;; Bleh.. -Horrible critique.-

Thank you purest divinity: kikyo for your review. My spell check on my new computer doesn't work like the last one. On the old computer's spell check, if one word was mispelled more than once, after I changed the word once, all the other ones would change too. Anyway, I will be posting the second chapter later this week, maybe even tomarrow. Please keep reading, reviewing, and rating my work. Thank you.

;330;Having trouble getting my head around the plot. But the idea of starting with Mew is original. I have sorta done it on Yellow, but it was my second pokemon after Pikachu. What exactly is wrong with Keiko? I couldn't quite work out what illness she had. Oh and very deep plot, the bits I could grasp.

Thank you everyone for replying to my story. To answer your question, Shiny Flygon, I never said what was wrong with Keiko. Keiko doesn't know what it is herself. Everyone will find out in chapters 3 and 4. As for the plot, it will develop more in future chapters. I'm going for the suspence feeling for readers here of like thinking what's going to happen next. In other words, I am trying to make it original and unpredictable at the same time. I'm sorry if this chapter took too long. I had computer problems. With that all said and done, here is chapter 2 for all of your reading enjoyment.

Chapter 2: The Mew Connection

Every tear that fell from Mew’s eyes felt like a storm of sadness to me. From all the reading that I have done in the town library, Mew is believed to be the purest of all known pokemon. Though sightings of this pokemon is rare, people who see it are filled with happiness from seeing such a care free creature. The people who see a Mew often have an epiphany that brings their lives to full circle. All of those people eventually become enlightened by their experience of seeing the happiness of a Mew. To see the purest pokemon cry like a waterfall struck my heart with pain as fast as lighting.

After we stared at each other, Mew finally noticed my existence by asking, “What are you doing here?” Before I could answer, Mew started to scream out, “Please do not hurt me! I am just a baby, not even worth the effort to capture. Please do not hurt me!”

Once Mew started to calm down, I asked it back, “How can you talk to me? I have never read that a Mew can talk with a human.” Mew continued its begs for me not to capture it, even when I just asked how it could talk. I finally realized how Mew could talk and I said, “Of course, you can use telepathy to talk.” Mew responded by pleading, “Please do not capture me in one of those pokeballs that hurt so much.”

To cease Mew’s constant begs, I replied, “I promise that I will not capture you, Mew. And I would never even think of ever hurting you at all.” Mew ceased its pleads, but continued crying. Remembering why I was there, I asked Mew, “Why are you crying?”

“The reason for my pain and sadness is over there,” it answered, by pointing to a near by field.

I made a quick dash to that field to see what was wrong. The sight I saw still haunts me in my nightmares. I saw the body of a motionless Mew. This Mew’s body color, once a vibrant pink, was now a dull grey. That color indicated that it had already had gone to the next world. I also noticed the burns all over its body, which were too large for any forest fire to make. That meant that a powerful fire pokemon may have destroyed this pure Mew. The sight of its lifeless body gave me a chile that ran through my whole body. Out of fear and disgust for the pokemon that hurt this Mew, I turned away to see that the other Mew was still there.

“You see before you my mother,” Mew stated. “I was her first and last daughter.”

After being able to see both of the Mew, I was able to see the differences. A normal sized Mew can be as high as from a person’s head to their stomach. On the other hand, the baby Mew was barely able to reach the height of my head. Her tail was also much shorter than what I could tell from her mother’s tail. Mew’s tail was as long as from my hand to my middle arm. This Mew obviously needed to have someone to care for it but before I could ask her, packs of wild pokemon began to appear.

I was coming closer to Mew to protect it from the pokemon when a large Mightyena jumped on top of me. The black and grey wolf put most of its weight on my body so I couldn’t move. While more Mightyena were coming around me, some of their little Poochyena cubs were circling the baby Mew. Suddenly, some brown and tan fur marked raccoons named Zigzagoon and some other raccoon pokemon named Linoone came out of the field where Mew’s mother rested. Once they came out, the Mightyena waited until everyone else left to join the Zigzagoon and the Linoone. When I got my breath back, I went to see what they were doing. All of the pokemon sat around the mother Mew, silently praying for her. They soon began to give long, sad cries and howls for the departed Mew. Out of nowhere, a flock of Beautifly flew right over the place where the mother Mew was buried. Sparkles of light came down as their wings were flapping across the sky and they landed where Mew’s mother was. As soon as the flock left, light shined up to the sky from Mew’s mother. Her body became the form of light and slowly began to climb up to be seen for everyone. Then she quickly flew across the sky until anyone could guess that it became one with the sky. All the pokemon gave cries as she went up and then they all left when no one could see her anymore. Her baby Mew was left all alone.

After everyone was gone, I asked Mew, “What just happened here?

Mew looked at me and answered, “Why should I tell you, a human who could hurt me so?” I looked at her, with a puzzled face and replied, “But I have already promised that I would not harm you nor capture you. If you tell me what has happened, I will not tell any other human.”

Mew stared into my eyes for a moment in time, to feel the truth to my words. Once she felt that I would keep my word, she began her tale

**********

“My mother and I were always playing together, ever since I could remember. Everyday was a new adventure for us. One day, my mother said that bad people were wanting to hurt us. She never told me why, but she just said we needed to get to our new home even faster. If she was by herself, my mother could have teleported herself to our new home, but I was there. Baby psychic pokemon can not use even a simple confusion attack without feeling confused ourselves. Normally, it takes about three to four years before baby psychic pokemon can battle well enough to live through each one. obviously, I wouldn’t be able to teleport to our home that was miles away without destroying myself. My mother decided that we would fly to our home and use the trees to hide ourselves. Sadly, that didn’t work for long.

“One day, all those bad people found us again. Some were dressed in black shirts with a red letter on the chest, some were wearing red hooded coats, and others were dressed like sailors. We were in a forest, trying to get away, when one of the red hooded coat people released his Houndoom and ordered it to burn the entire forest to the ground. We were able to get out, but my mother went back to slow down those bad people. She told me to go to our home, but I wanted to make sure she would make it out. With the little energy I had left, I teleported back into the forest. I was so drained of strength that I could barely move. I crawled to where I heard those bad people attacking my mother. She was badly hurt from all the bites and crunches from the Houndoom. My mother used all of her energy to create one final attack. Her attack was illuminating the entire forest and it went straight to the sky. I shortly went to sleep so after that light was gone.

“When I woke up, I was still in the forest, but nothing appeared to be burned. Not a piece of bark was missing from the trees. It was like the forest was never on fire. There was no trace of those bad people either. In a panic, I began to search for my mother. I searched the whole forest, but I found nothing. I came out of the forest and found her on the path that lead to our home. Sadly, she was already gone when I got there. Out of pain and sadness, I let out a large cry that could be heard for miles. Light came all around me and I released that energy out to the entire area. That light caused every human in every near by towns to enter a state of frozen time. They would not be able to move until what all the pokemon here needed to do.

“What you just witness was a pokemon celebration of a life of a Mew. When a Mew passes on, all the pokemon around the area come to give their respect to the Mew. A psychic pokemon, like myself, uses the pain within and puts all the humans frozen before the celebration can start. This celebration had to be kept a secret from humans. Sadly, with you now seeing this secret with your eyes, one of our most important secrets is revealed. Another psychic pokemon would have been able to freeze you in time. Unfortunately, since I am inexperienced with my powers, I drained a lot of energy to keep humans away from here. Anyway, all the pokemon come around the lifeless Mew to give prays for its safe journey. They all soon begin to cry and howl for the lost of a pure soul like a Mew’s. Then a flock of any kind of pokemon fly over the Mew and light falls from their wings to the Mew’s body. The Mew transforms into the form of light and it can become one with the earth, or one with the clouds, or one with the sky. My mother has the honor of becoming one with the night sky, a rare gift for even a Mew. When I see the stars, I will be able to tell which one is my mother by what the feeling of my heart tells me. "

**********

When Mew finished her own story, my eyes were full of tears that could no longer be hold backed. I slowly moved my hand, silently asking to hold Mew for comfort. I did not want to frighten her after everything she has dealt with. When Mew saw me wanting to hold her, she looked at me for awhile, with her blue eyes turned into pools, and then she nodded her head in allowing me to hold her. I gently gave this little pink creature a hug and we both cried quietly for beyond the measurement of time. We hold our hands together and I felt something new. It was a connection to something greater than I had ever felt before. I had a feeling that Mew had the same feeling.

Our eyes closed and, with my mind’s eye, I saw Mew starting at me, and we were both glowing with the colors of the rainbow. Through the glaze of Mew’s eyes, I could feel every event in her life, with even more details, as she could through my eyes. I felt like I was spinning, yet everything else didn’t move. I felt removed from the confined space of my body and I was able to see more than before. I saw the evolvement of our planet and eon passing by me in seconds. I felt as if the being inside of me was floating through the skies of time.

I was with Mew again, in the same place where we were when her mother’s celebration ended. I felt a rush of feelings of what just occurred.I looked at my watch and it was only noon, which was the same time the celebration was finish. I thought that I had been traveling in that realm for hours, instead of a few seconds.

I asked Mew, “Do you know what just happened?”

Mew replied,”I am not sure, but...” I cut Mew off by shouting, “I don’t think that you are talking with your mind now because I heard you talking with your mouth moving!”

“Someone else is talking with me,” Mew said. After a few moments of silent, Mew told me, “You need to come with me, Keiko.”

“How do you know my name?,” I asked. “Were you the one who called out my true name before?”

Mew did not answer because she was focusing her energy for some reason. Meanwhile, my pocket started to glow a bright red color. I dug down to see what was happening to see that the pokeball that I had bought was beginning to crack. It spread from the small white button in the middle to all over the ball. Finally, the cracks grew larger, splitting the ball into pieces. And, like an earthquake, the cracks obliterated the pokeball.

“What does this mean?,” I asked, with my voice full of fear and amazement at the same time.

Mew was starting to release all of its stored energy by glowing a bright pink color. She then seem to be drawing a portal in a circle shape with her mind. When she was done and the gateway was open, Mew was drained of her strength. I ran to her and hold her in my arms. She pointed to the portal and said, “We need to go through that gateway to answer our questions.” With that, Mew fell asleep in seconds. I had no choice, but to follow her advice. I began going through that portal, not knowing what wonders I would discover on the other side.

There is the second chapter in my story. I hope you all have enjoyed it. I will be working on chapter 3 for awhile and I will post it as soon as possible. Please read, review, and rate my story. Please also tell me if Keiko is becoming what is called a Mary-Sue. If she is, I'll fix that in the next chapter. I don't think she is, but I'm the writer. Thank you.

;330; This is why I have swearing in my story. If the lead female swears, she ain't a Mary-Sue. Anyway, this chapter was deep, very deep. Still haven't worked out the plot, but by the second chapter you shouldn't have anyway.

;359; COOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL and I don't think she's a Mary-Sue. Try making her unpopular, and a little ignorant of other people just to be sure.

Thank you for your reply Shiny Flygon. I'm sorry that chapter 3 is taking longer than I thought. I am making sure Keiko doesn't become a Mary-Sue. I've been busy with other things, such as preparing for school. I go back to school on August 16. (WAY TOO EARLY, but its the way the school is run.) Anyway, I hope to get at least chapter 3 up by this weekend.

Hidden Mew, what wonderful writing you have.
You were a frequent writer to my last fic and are currently commenting on my new fic, so it was the least I could do to show up here and read the fruits of your labors. Very fine work if you ask me, of course, you didn't ask me. You have very original ideas, and I like how you have charactorized Mew. Very interesting. I can sense a strong plot, however I have not quite discovered it. I also liked the description of the passing of Mew, very special. She reminds me of the Gardevoir from both of my stories, giving her life so that others might live. Keep up the great writing. Oh, and by the way, Keiko sounds like Wally, being sick all the time. Thats not a bad thing, just something I noticed. Stick with the writing, its tough but it pays off knowing that someone out there is reading. Good luck.

That.....was.....beautiful. Where did you get the girls character. She is no Mary Sue, a Mary Sue is like a Stepford Wife. The character is pure, I like that.

Your plot is original, I like it. I only found a few errors. It made me cry when mew was passing, but it was different. Again, were did you find this girl, she is so pure.

Yes, I want to know when the new chapters up, this fic i beautiul.

As always, be kind to the mime

Thank you both so much Shiny_deoxys and Klaus for your wonderfully positive replies. Both of them were perfect surprises. You both have saved my day. I needed to hear, or rather read, some positive reviews about my writing style. Both of your recent reviews have filled my heart with happiness. I felt the bigest smile I have had in days. I thank both of you and all the other readers from the bottom of my heart.I have wanted to write the third chapter for a long time, but I have been too busy with school. Anyway, I WILL be able to post the next chapter by sometimes this weekend. Shiny_deoxys: I am thrilled that you like my plot and my writing. The plot is deep, but it should become a bit more clear by the next chapter and you make a good point about Keiko and Wally, which will also be revealed soon. Klaus: I am equally thrilled that you like my plot and my writing. If you can believe it, Keiko's personality and character just came to me one day when I was thinking about writing some story. That is one of the good things about fan-fictions or just fiction, it is always inspired. I will be happy to write this story if people as nice as all of those who have made reviews continue do so. THANK YOU ALL.

Hidden Mew

Here is Chapter 3. I'm sorry it took so long, but I have been busy with school. Please read and review. I will get the next chapter up as soon as possible. Thank you.

Chapter 3: Hidden Paradise

As we were going through the portal, I felt as if my body was being pulled apart at the strings, tearing each molecule in me to pieces. It felt like lighting was pinching at my skin. Although it was painful, the rush of crossing time and space was thrilling. Our surroundings were like a rainbow, every where I looked, there were thousands of colors mixed together. I looked to see how Mew was doing and if she needed help. To my human eyes, she appeared to be fine but I felt all the pain she was going through. Even though she is still unskilled at controlling her powers, I prayed that she would be safe from this destruction.

Finally, it stopped moving and I saw nothing but darkness. When I woke up, I saw Mew lay motionless on the ground. I prayed to the skies above that she was still alive. I gently put her in my arms and her eyes opened. I could feel the drain of her energy as she tried to stay awake. She stared at me with those pure blue eyes and she fell asleep. I looked around to see if anyone was around or if there was a town nearby. Even though I would be nervous to talk to people, especially at a pokemon center, I wanted to help this baby Mew. I noticed a door not too far ahead and I ran towards it. I grabbed the handle and turned it. The lights were illuminating the area around me and making my eyes water. But what I saw there took my breathe away.

There was a lush forest filled with numerous flowers as far as the eye can see. The trees were larger than any buildings. The branches were so low that the trees looked like they wanted to hug you. It was so beautiful that I cried at the sight of it. Since Mew was still asleep, I decided to explore this wonderful environment and see if I could find some help for Mew.

I was in awe at the pure beauty of this land. All of the untouched earth was being offered to the creatures to live and thrive here. The grass was a lush green that felt like a pillow when I touched it. All of the flowers were open to see the world and have the world see them. There was even a vibrant garden of different colored flowers that went beyond my eye sight. The air was as fresh and clean as a newly opened book. We passed some trees that were taller than the sky and gave me the sense of protection. Seeing all of this natural beauty made me wonder why it isn’t like this, or even close to this, back in my world.

I had been walking for what felt like an eternity, but Mew was still fast asleep. I began to worry about her. She was all alone now and she needed some other pokemon to take care of her until she was strong enough to defend herself. I was also concerned that she was injuries and that caused her to remain in her dormant state. I hoped to myself that someone could help and heal her before she became a star, like her mother.

After coming out of that thick forest, I came across a huge waterfall. The water was crystal clear and it looked just like the sky above. I walked closer to the water to see if it could wake Mew up. As I was touching the water, the waterfall suddenly split opened, revealing a hidden entrance. I put Mew back in my arms and slowly examined the cave. It appeared to be safe and I thought someone there could help Mew.

As I continued to walk, I felt tired, but my legs weren’t sore and I couldn’t bring myself to stop. It was like some unknown force was pulling me towards a place or a being that I was supposed to meet. After a long dark tunnel, I saw the light of day and made a quick dash. When my eyes adjusted to this new bright world, I felt that there were numerous amounts of pokemon. I sensed that they were trying to hide, but some of them were easy to see. For example, I saw the green weeds that belonged to this round blue plant called Oddish. I noticed that the weeds were shaking and I thought that a predator was hunting for it. Up ahead, I saw another lake and I wanted to get a drink for Mew and for me. While I was headed towards the water, a large, blue, water snake pokemon named Gyarados leaped out of the water. It gave out a roar and was swimming right at me. I covered Mew and screamed as loud as I could. The echo of my scream caused the earth to light up and everything just stopped.

I looked up and the Gyardos was gazing at the sky. In a flash, all of the pokemon came out of the shadows and ran across the land. Every land pokemon I could see were gone in a second, while all the flying pokemon covered the entire sky that was once a perfect blue. Thought the scenery was amazing, I needed to find help for Mew. She was asleep and I thought she was ill from that trip. I laid my hand on her head, only to quickly pull it back for I thought it would burn. Mew needed help fast and I chose to follow what path the pokemon took.

I don’t know how, but I was able to sense where the pokemon shadows were as I was walking. It was like they were struck with fear and tired to conceal themselves from me. I thought to myself, I guess no matter where I go, I will always be a sight of fear to people and pokemon alike. After crossing a long meadow, full of nothing but grass and dirt, I came upon a cave. I took a peek inside to find an endless darkness, waiting for anyone to enter. I started to hear noises inside and I hoped that there was someone there that could help Mew.

“Hello!,” I shouted. “Is anyone there? I need some help.”

As soon as I finished, a thunderous pair of wings flew right out of the cave and above my head. The force of those wings cause me to fall to the ground and to taste the dirt below. When I looked up, I saw the mighty blue wings that were as strong as a airplane. His body had the build of a bird, but it was a dragon. I saw before me Latios, one of the two guardian pokemon. I looked into his red eyes and I knew in a flash that he was angry. I read that most pokemon, especially legendary pokemon, loathed humans who enter into their territory with only the desire to capture them. Obviously, Latios thought I was there for that selfish purpose.

“I don’t want to hurt anyone, Latios,” I begged. “This Mew brought me here but now, I think that she is sick. Could you please help her?” Latios opened his mouth and began guardian some of the land’s energy. I know that this is how the attack called Hyper Beam was formed and knowing how pure this land was, the attack would double in strength. Latios’s mouth had the yellow energy balls coming into his mouth and he fired the blast right at me. I just looked at him with my eyes, praying that he would feel the truth to my words. When all seemed hopeless, I covered Mew with my body to protect her. All I could hear was the beam cutting a hill into pieces of rocks.

When I opened my eyes, I saw the ground from the sky, I thought that the beam had destroyed me. I looked around me and I noticed these blue lines all over my body that allowed me to score the sky. Next to me, I saw a smaller version of Latios, except she had red wings and yellow eyes. Latias, sister to Latios, had saved my life. She brought me down to earth and I tried to reason with Latios.

“I am sorry if I trespassed into your world, but I just want to help this Mew. Once she is healed and someone can take care of her, I’ll just go back,” I stated. “Could either one of you heal her?”

“I believe I can help you,” answered Latias. I was struck with surprise. How could I understand the pokemon language and how can they understand me?, I asked myself.

“You can understand me because you are the one ment to hear us,” replied Latias. She pulled out her small red claws and I handed the baby Mew to her. She began focusing her energy to Mew and both of them were covered in a bright yellow colored glow. Within seconds, Mew’s blue eyes were opened and she flowed up to see her surroundings.

“Where am I?,” Mew asked. “What am I doing here?” Once Mew saw me, all of the painful memories came back to her and she began to fill her eyes with water.

“I am sorry that I attacked you, Keiko,” Latios said. “I thought that you had injuries this Mew and you were trying to take her away.”

“It’s okay, but how did you know my name, Latios?” I questioned. Latias grabbed my hands and dragged me towards a plate outside of the cave that was covered in dust. “Can you tell me what this plate says?,” she asked. I looked at it for a few moments and the answer was as clear as day. But the message sent a chill to my bones.

“It says Keiko is the one, the one who heals the world,” I answered.

There you have it. I know the plot is still not there, but you can guess what it is. I will post the next chapter soon. Thank you.

;330; Cool, it is really going deep. Latios and Latias are in mine as well, but m Rick is like their older brother, not a chosen one(ok he's that too). Anyway I digress and spoil. I'm beginning to see the plot, and it if my assumptions are correct, this is only the metaphorically speaking shallow end of the pool of deepness this story will be. Man that was a good metaphor. Anyway keep it up. Knowing your writing ability(or at least my assumption of it), it can only get better!(and it's very good as it is)

Ya mon. Great chapter. It seemed just a little rushed, but still there was great description. It seems as if Latias and Latios have the same personalities as they did in the movie, with Latios being overagressive and Latias being a protector. You well know that in my first fic I used Latios and Latias as being Grim Reaper pokemon. Anyway, keep it up.

Thank you all so much for your replies. It makes me feel so happy and valued when I hear reviews for my story. I was in a rush when I was writing it because I wanted to get it in before the weekend was over. I am glad that all of you are enjoying my story and I will post the next chapter hopefully some point this weekend. I promise that I won't rush it though. Thank you all again. :)

Sorry for the lack of updates to everyone. It takes me awhile for me to type up anything. I have also been busy with school. Since I am still in school, please bear with me when I don't update the story as often as I wish I could. Anyway, here is chapter four for your enjoyment. Please read, review, and rate my work. I will forever thankful to everyone who reads this. Thank you and here it is.

Chapter 4: Destiny’s Truth

I couldn’t believe what I saw. I was the one who could heal the world. But I had no clue how I could do such an impossible task.

“How can this be?,” I asked. “People like me are never chosen ones.

“True,” replied Latias. “But you have something special inside of you that no other human has.”

“I’m not sure,” I said nervously. “Why doesn’t one of the famous trainers be the chosen one like Ash, Misty, or Brock?,” I asked.

“As my sister has already said, you have something within you that is unique and no other person has it,” answered Latios.

“We need you two to follow us into this cave,” said Latias as she pointed her small red claw towards the entrance to yet another cave.

I looked down at the cave and even though it was covered in darkness, I felt that something inside was waiting for me to find it. Both Latios and Latias flew in a dash in front of me and their whole bodies began to glow in a blue color as they held to each other’s claws. As they were focusing their energy for some reason, I noticed that Mew, who remained silent since she was awaken, appeared to be distant from me. Every time I tried to move towards her, Mew would move to another spot. It was as if Mew was afraid me. Mew’s eyes remained a crystal clear blue that were still filled with tears for its mother.

Finally, Latios’s and Latias’s glow illuminated the entire cave as if electrical lights were on every wall. They pointed to the both of us to follow them in. As we were walking through this cave, it seemed to me that the cave was becoming brighter. I assumed that their powers were strong enough to command the forces of light. When we stopped, we were at another gateway.

“Don’t be afraid,” Latias called out to me. “It is a much easier portal to go through than the first one you arrived in.”

And with that, the door was opened and pulled us all inside. Now, instead of flying, I felt as if I was falling through this door. We were all falling down, but slowly. Our surroundings were much easier to look at than the other gateways. The walls and the ground made it appeared that we were underwater while the water was begin hit by the rays of the sun. Everything was sparkling, clear water. As we were falling, Latios and Latias were clam, but Mew covered her small head with her even smaller hands. I wanted to hold her but when I tried to, she was shaking her entire body at me.

After what felt like hours, we dropped on dried land. Latias pointed us towards another plate that had her claw mark on it, as well as Latios’s. I wanted to ask them where we were going to but before I could, Latios seemed to have read my mind.

“There is something you need to see in here,” answered Latios. “Both of you,” he said as his red glazed hit Mew. They put their claws on the plates and the ground began to shake. Lumps of dirt fell from the ceiling and the earthquake revealed a hidden chamber.

When we entered, I saw ancient carvings of pokemon on every wall, I could clearly identify some the the legendary pokemon, such as the mighty green dragon Rayquaza, and I could read most of the text. The whole area gave me the feeling that I was in an egyptian tomb. All of the carvings made me think that they have been, for humans, long forgotten through the sands of time.

“Do you understand why we have brought you two here?,” asked Latias.

“I’m afraid I’m still confused,” I admitted.

Latias flew over to me and put her face on mine. Her eyes began to glow a bright white and so did mine. I felt that Latias was moving around the room. She was looking at the ancient stones. I saw that she didn’t see them as I did. I felt that Latias was moving back to me and my body went from a numb feeling to normal again.

“I allowed you to look through my eyes to show you what I can not see,” Latias replied.

I began to understand and I asked, “Then why can I read these words as clear as day and you can’t, Latias?”

“Neither one of us can read these words,” Latios interrupted. “Almost no other pokemon can on Earth.”

“I can,” Mew finally spoke through her state of silence.

“I know,” Latios answered. “And I will get to that shortly.”

He pointed to another stone and asked, “Can either of you read what it says here?” We shook our heads for a no and he began to tell us the stone’s tale.

“Long ago, pokemon and humans lived together in peace and harmony. There weren’t any wars, destruction, or pokeballs. Everyone just lived. Then one day, for whatever reason, humans created the pokeball after a short moment of frozen time. People thought that it was raining, but the pokemon knew that they were still with time. Ever since the ball was made, the balance of light and dark has been disturbed.

“It wasn’t that the pokeball cause pokemon to be evil or the ball itself was pure darkness, it just changed how catching was done for thousands of years. Before this, people captured pokemon with their hearts. It wasn’t suppose to happen instantly, but with a steady pace and kindness. Anyone who wanted to capture a pokemon would have to help it first, show it love and being understanding, and both would have to willingly open their souls to each other.”

Mew and I were both struck with such a surprised thought. That is what happened between Mew and I, I thought to myself.

After that brief moment of silent, Latios continued with his own story-telling. “Since the moment the pokeball was first invented, humans have forgotten their first way of catching pokemon and have caused the world to be in danger. If this balance is pushed too far, it can easily destroy the Earth. Someone or something that caused this imbalance could be still waiting to use the pokeball to finish off the world.”

“What does all of that have to do with us?,” I asked.

“Don’t interrupt, Keiko!,” shouted Latios. He was on a roll and he didn’t want to stop. “There was only one human who wasn’t frozen within time that day. And that human is you, Keiko!,” yelled Latios.

“How can that be?,” I questioned. “The pokeball has been around for thousands of years and I’m only sixteen.”

“We aren’t sure about that yet, but only the pure human could read the words on these walls,” answered Latias after her long moment of silence.

“Only you can find those who can heal the balance that has been long forgotten, Latios continued.

“Who are they?,” I asked.

“Only you can discover that answer,” Latias replied. “But you and Mew can find the truth together.”

“What do I have to do with all of this?,” Mew shouted.

Latias stared at this baby Mew and gave a sigh. “Keiko is the only human to have the strength, kindness and the soul to use the ancient way of capturing pokemon. As it turns out, you are the first pokemon to have felt this sensation for thousands of years.”

Mew stayed in the air as quite as the sky. Her eyes began to fill up with new rivers of tears for herself. The lump in her throat probably made it impossible for her to speak.

“There is more to tell both of you,” continued Latios. “But I think that’s enough history for today.” She looked at her brother for approval and received it.

“We have another place for you two to stay tonight,” Latios said as we left the cave.

When we entered the cave, it was high afternoon. But now it looked past midnight. It also took us only a few seconds to leave the chamber and come outside when it took us hours to enter it. Before we could move to anywhere, Mew had to see her mother’s star and cry for her guidance in this new life for her that neither of us could choose to walk away from.

Sorry for the double post and the lack of updates. I have had a lot of tests that past couple of weeks and that kept me from posting the new chapter at this time of night, where I am anyway. For the double posts, I always feel that my appreciation for all the replies should be separate from my chapters, except when I have the chapters ready to put up here. Anyway, here is the lastest chapter for all to enjoy. Please review and rate as often as you wish. Thank you and for your pleasure, here is chapter 5.

Chapter 5: Destruction Begins

I awoke the next morning with the glorious rays of the sun in my face. I couldn’t begin to believe that all of this natural beauty touched my eyes every place that I looked upon. It was like magic was breathing all around me to create this wonderful place of tranquility. Even this room took my breathe away. I was still in a cave, but it gave me the feeling of a small cottage because all of the rocks were as smooth as glass. Every rock was attached to the wall or the ground and they all shined liked diamonds. There wasn’t a bed for neither me or Mew to sleep on, but the rocks below us kept us warm all night as if we were in a peaceful meadow on a sunny day. I would love to just stay inside there all day and feel true beauty shine on me at all times. I knew that I couldn’t because I still needed more of an explanation from Latios and Latias.

From all the events that happened yesterday, I was still unclear as to how I was somehow the only pure hearted human on Earth. I wanted a way to see what they were talking about and how I could help Mew. It took Latios’s strongest roar to make her sleep in the same room with me. Still, she refused to come anywhere near me. I guess that she doesn’t trust any humans. And who could blame her? After what those awful people did to her mother, it’s a wonder that she haven’t had the desire to just end her pain by destroying herself. I wanted to help Mew and find her someone to take good care of her as soon as possible. My hear went out to the poor child. While Mew is the purest of all the pokemon, I could sense that her heart was full of sadness and despair every time I came hear her.

Mew was still asleep when I got up. Like with me, the stones beneath Mew had kept her warm all night long. They were glowing in a bright orange color, which according to Latios, proved that I had captured Mew. But she denied it all and ignored him. I glazed at the sleeping Mew like a guardian angel. I was thankful that she was safe and I wondered how I could protect such a small creature. When Mew finally opened her clear blue eyes, she darted far away from me the moment she knew that I was there.

Before I could attempt at comforting Mew, I heard Latios calling out to us, “Keiko, Mew, we need to talk.”

Mew flew right by me and I jogged right out of the cave. Both Latios and Latias were floating in a nearby clearing, where the meadows became the forests.

“We need to explain to you two something before we must leave,” Latias cried out franticly.

“Where are you two going?,” I asked. “We just got here yesterday and we can’t be here all alone.”

“We know,” replied Latios. “But the other pokemon need us.”

We both must have looked confused because Latias clairvoyantly answered our unasked question. “The pokemon you saw when you first came here, Keiko, are hiding. This whole world in their hiding place. When our balance was disturbed with the pokeball so long ago, many pokemon who whish not to fight for their freedom chose to come here.”

“So what exactly is here?,” I asked.

Latias said with the feeling of sadness within her, “Our father and mother first created this place by breaking the fabric of space and time. They were able to make a whole new world with their combined powers. Many pokemon came here, but many didn’t want to flee like cowards or leave the only home they ever had. So, the pokemon population was divided and our parents chose to stay in this world. They wanted to protect the pokemon here as much as they could. All of the many portals that you, Keiko, had to go through was the work of our parents. It was the best security that they could give to the pokemon here. It would destroy any being with an unpure heart and allow those with kind souls to enter into the true part of this world. Centuries went by in your world and time here was never found. Long after our parents were the protectors here, they had Latios and eventually me.”

Both Latias’s and Latios’s faces dropped down and I saw the scars in their eyes coming up to the surface.

“Sadly, this imbalance in our world took its toll on our parents. Even though they were the guardians of the pokemon here, the awful unbalance between pokemon and humans on the other side sucked out their energy little by little. Our father’s glorious bright blue wings turned dark blue and his once perfect arrow features on the side of his head flopped down like a dog’s ears. The same happened to our mother. Her precious red wings had turned into a fever red and her arrows became her hair. One day, their triangles on their chest became to glow and they held onto each other’s claw. Their whole bodies then were disbursed into the universe, leaving my brother and I to take care of the pokemon here and to wait for you,” Latias finished with tears choking in her eyes and her throat.

Latios, as a caring older brother, gave his sister a hug and offered to hold her tears as they fell from her face.

“The pokemon here know that you are the chosen one, the one who will restore the world, but they are still too afraid of humans,” Latios firmly said. “Once you have healed the world back to its proper balance, they will no longer be afraid of you and they will show themselves to you.”

I was amazed at everything that they had just told me. I had no idea that Latias and Latios were orphans as well, I thought.

“But how can Mew and I help to heal the Earth,” I asked.

“Every time a pokemon or a group of pokemon are causing destruction because of this damaged balance, you, Mew, and whoever else you may capture will know instantly and be transported there,” answered Latios.

“Wait a minute!,” Mew yelled out. “Do you mean that I have to stay out here?”

“Yes and don’t cry about it!,” Latios shouted. “You will realize your destiny soon enough.”

Suddenly, I could see through their bodies. I screamed out, worrying that what had happen to their parents was now happening to them. It was like they were ghosts. Their bodies soon became the leaves on the trees.

“Don’t worry,” Latias called out. “We will come back every now and then. You can eat the fruits around the forests and the water in the lakes are safe to drink. Remember, you are the only human who can find the two pokemon that can save the world.”

Then they both disappear into the trees and left us both in a state of confusion.

*******

By the time Latios and Latias left us, it was time for lunch. I tried to ask Mew what she wanted, but she wouldn’t listen to me. She sat at the base of a tree, while I gathered some berries that were near us. I was too tired to look for different kinds of berries, so I just brought these apple sized blue berries. They tasted delicious the second it touched my tongue. I gave most of them to Mew, but she refused to eat them.

“Please eat, Mew,” I begged. “I’m not really that hungry, so you can have all you want.”

“Why did you have to capture me?,” Mew cried out.

“You know that I was just trying to help you after that celebration for your mother,” I replied. “I hope you don’t think that I’m like those horrible people who were hunting you and your mother down like criminals.”

It isn’t like that, but...” Mew remained silent for awhile, as if she was choosing her words carefully.

“One day, I was playing in the forests. It was a few days before those people came to me and my mother. She allowed me to play there while she rested not too far. I saw this girl with short purple hair and green eyes. I felt that she and I could play together and I floated up to her. She appeared to be kind at first, but she yelped out the instant she saw me. I grabbed her bag and I started to play around with these computer devices. I saw one object that really made me interested me: a pokeball. I didn’t know any better, so I opened it with my fingers. And out came a burst of light that formed into the black wolf known as Mightyena. The girl was now wearing one of those hooded red coats and she ordered the Mightyena to bite me. It took all of my strength to teleaport back to my mother. When I told her everything that had happen, she told me that we had to move faster to our new home, which was here. Soon, more people were chasing us everywhere we went. It is because of me that my mother is gone and only at my reach at night,” Mew finished with her eyes becoming water yet again.

Right then and there, everything made sense to me. “So you think that I’ll be like that girl you met that day?,” I asked.

Mew nodded her head in agreement. I felt so sad for this child of light. She had gone through so much in such a small bit of her life. I was about to try and hold her when this terrible pain was sent through my entire body. I felt as if my skin was completely on fire. I felt building crumble was falling on top of me. I heard screams of panic and I heard, not with my ears, but something else heard a powerful roar coming from the sky. My eyes opened quickly and the painful feelings left me. I was out of breathe and I felt that I ran a marathon. Sweat covered my face and Mew actually looked at me with some concern in the corners of her eyes. Before I could explain to Mew what had just occurred with me, a screen as large and as clear as a window was floating right in front of us.

“What is that?,” we asked in union.

Suddenly, we were floating in the sky just like Latios and Latias were before. Mew and I were both as transparent as silk. We somehow went through that screen and we were instantly transported somewhere. I looked and I saw the never ending ocean at our feet. I noticed an island with a tall building with a space ship on the top. That was the only building I could see. I then realized where we were.

“We’re looking at Mossdeep City,” I called out to Mew. “This is the only island in all of the regions with its own space station. I heard that it functions on its own without the help from the world’s government.”

Mew and I were gently blown to the island with the ocean winds and then we became solid once we reached the Earth. I looked around and we were right in front of the space center. By that point, Mew was holding onto me as a source of security and I was beginning to hope that she was starting to trust me. She then ducked into my bag and peeked out through the middle zipper.

“What is that thing?,” Mew asked.

I saw that she was pointing to the nearest platform and I knew exactly what it was. “That is a satellite. Scientists put them into space to learn more about the universe,” I answered.

“It looks really big and scary with all of those mental wings and those other parts,” Mew observed.

Without warning, the satellite was launched like a rockets. I held onto my bag to protect Mew from the strong winds. It flew as fast as a Dragonite and disappeared as quickly as a Gendar. However, there soon was a huge explosion in the sky from where I last saw the satellite. I heard a mighty roar and it gave us a feeling of coldness in our souls. We both knew that something powerful was coming and Mew held on tight inside of my bag. I remembered that I had heard that roar before in the mist of those painful feelings and I knew that it could bring destruction with it. I prepared myself to be ready for anything. This creature, who could be heard in the next region, was full of anger. I saw it take form from the black cloud of smoke. Its long green body could cover any cloud. Its claws could rip anything in half. Soon, the clouds revealed the mighty Rayquaza coming right towards Mossdeep City.

*******
There you have it. I hope that everyone enjoyed reading this chapter. I was going to include Rayquaza's attack on the city, but I felt that the chapter was long enough. To those who didn't like how Rayquaza was like in the movie, the one in my story won't be like that at all. There would be more logic to it in the next chapter or two. I don't know when chapter 6 will be up, but I'll bring it here as soon as possible. Thanks again.

;330; Rayquaza sends his gratitude. In all of my fics with Rayquaza, he's exactly like a dragon should be. He's a free spirit, with a lot of dignity, power and experience. He does as he pleases, but he will always put other matters before his own. The world being destroyed? He's there. Mallain returns? He's there. Groudon and Kyogre awake? He's there. He always knows what to do, because he has the longest lifespan of the three mortal members of the sacred four(Ho-oh's immortal), and he can pass the knowledge down in a flash from father t son(I think legendaries go through Mitosis, so they always stay the same gender, and in my opinion Rayquaza's a guy). This fic rules. Keep it up.

;373; Can anyone say a Flygon fic? If you can, you've just read one. This fic is now deserving of my best award, the Flygon award! Congrats!.

This...this story...is beautiful,Hidden Mew! ;_;

It has got everything that I like in these kinds of fics.

I love your writing style, and your description is simply perfect.

The personalities...Yes,the personalities are your best aspect,Keiko has got such an original personality...

I like the plot,If I ever got to go to the Pokémon dimension,I would only capture them in the "pure" way that you described...

It´s unfair to force living, breathing, thinking beings like us into little round prisons...That,and they are hurt before they are caught!

Would you respect someone that beat you up in a six versus one fight, and forced you into staying in the Pokéball?

I wouldn´t...The Pokémon anime, games and manga have got lots of plotholes concerning these things...

And my final rating is obviously a 5 star rating! ^_^ *Thumbs up*

If you share these same views that I do,would you like to become my friend?

I would love to be such a great writer´s friend! You´ve got quite an imagination! *Hi-fives*

And if I ever DO post the RPG I´m participating in slightly modificated to completely fit a fanfic´s style(even though I´m already participating,in a fanfic style),I´d be honoured to get your review! ^_^ *Bows*

Thanks for listening to my ever-so-long review on a perfect story.

No complaints about it...

And I looked at your profile now,I love reading too!

If I didn´t read so much,my RPG would look like SPAM instead of a minor other member supported fanfic! ^_~

I really didn't know my story was this good when I first started writing it. I am so glad that I started it and posted it on this site. Shiny Flygon, I'm glad that Rayquaza is thankful for what I have for him in the future of my story. I honored that I have received such an interesting and great award, the Flygon award. It sounds so neat. Maybe I'll eventually have a Flygon in my story. Runasutaru, I equally honored that you loved my story. I would catch pokemon in the "pure" way as well. The way they catch pokemon in the anime, the games, and the mangas, but they almost never talk about how the pokemon itself feels as it is being captured. As I said in the private message, I would be glad to be your friend. Reading all these books increases my vocabulary, strengthens my writing ability, and it is fun. I will work on chapter 6 and post it as soon as possible. Thanks to all for all of their kind replies.

Thank you Kyle of Pallet. I feel so honored by having your first fan-fiction award. I feel so appreciated and honored everytime I see a review there. I am so sorry for the lack of updates for the past month. I've been busy at school and I lost track of time as well. Anyway, chapter 6 will be up this Friday. Please let me know if anyone would like me to sent a message to let you know that my story is updated. Thank you all so much.

Sorry for the double post and sorry again for the lack of updates. I'll try my best to have a new chapter every week or two. Please let me know if you want a private message whenever I have a new chapter up. I am still so happy that this story has already two awards. Could I put them in my signature whenever I get a banner for my story? Anyway, I finally have chapter six here. Remember, for those who didn't like its part in the movie, Rayquaza isn't going to be like that. If it sounds like in was in the movie, there is at least a better reason than something entering its territory that will be seen in this and the next chapter. This chapter is rated PG for a bit more violence, but this chapters in the story won't get much more violent than this. Thank you and enjoy the reading.

Chapter 6: Rayquaza’s Wrath

I couldn’t believe it. The powerful Rayquaza, the world’s guardian pokemon, appeared to be full of rage and had just destroyed a satellite. It reduced the machine into a ball by crushing it in its mouth and breathing fire into it. As Rayquaza was flying at amazing speed, its small, yet strong claws, hit the metal ball down to the space center as fast as a rocket. It landed on the building like a meter and created a massive explosion. Lucky, I was able to cover myself, along with Mew, by hiding behind a near by tree. Within moments, I turned around to see the damage. The once tall space center was no more. All of the window were broken and melted like ice in the fire. The white paint of the building was now brunt black. In some of the visible pieces, I thought that I saw red lines that were from the poor souls trapped inside. The satellite had transformed the whole center into thousands of fire pieces that were scattered throughout the whole island. Parts were flying towards me, but I couldn’t run away; fear had taken hold of my legs. I fell to cover myself, praying that everything would be fine. When seconds had passed and I expected to be consumed by fire, I found myself protected in what appeared to be a huge pink bubble. I finally saw Mew’s glowing blue eyes that formed the ball. At that moment, despite the chaos all around me, I felt new found joy. It finally seemed that Mew learned to trust me and I hoped that she always would. The fire ended its movement around us. Mew looked weak and hid back into my bag.

“Thank you, my friend,” I whispered to Mew.

I returned to the blazing space center. Just before Mew protected us, the building was barely standing. And now, it looked like gravel and the only visible sign of the center was the the roof with the large, white space ship on top of it. The fire was breathing in and out towards the rest of the island below. I could already hear their horrid screams and cries of panic. I wanted to help them, butt the whistle of policemen and the horns of trucks were already done there. What surprised me was that there weren’t any firefighter coming near the source of the fire. They were putting out the small ones that were on the all houses with little brown roofs and pink doors. The beautiful green that once flourished the area was now burnt paper. I wished that there was something Mew and I could do to help them. Right then, Rayquaza appeared right behind us on top of the remains of the roof.

I never would have imagined that Rayquaza would do something this evil. This destruction had already taken the innocent lives of researches away. I thought something was wrong with it, but everything matched all the books I’ve read. Rayquaza still had all of its bright green scales, which became shiny in the fire’s heat. Its body was in the shape of a large flying snake. Some of the scales formed the four pointers around its head and the large plates on its tail were still there. Rayquaza’s claws and arms were like a dinosaur’s, but with much more power. Just then, Rayquaza opened its snake-like mouth and gave such a mighty roar that it shook the sky. My blue-green eyes met Rayquaza’s bright yellow eyes and I finally found my voice.

“Rayquaza!,” I screamed. “Why are you doing this? We humans don’t want to fight or hurt you.”

Mew poked her small, light pink head out of my bag and floated right next to me. I could still sense her fear, as well as my own, but she wanted some answers too.

“You wouldn’t understand, in more ways than one,” Rayquaza replied in an angry tone.

“You're mistaken, Rayquaza. I can understand what you’re saying, unlike every other human,” I shouted back.

Rayquaza grew a scary grin and said, “ It would appear so.”

“I want to help you Rayquaza. Please, Mew and I both can help,” I begged.

Rayquaza turned its attention to Mew and almost laughed.

“How could this weak baby of a Mew do anything,” Rayquaza asked. “I bet its powers haven’t even developed yet. And if it tries to use them, Mew’s powers harm it instead.”

“Is that so?,” Mew questioned. “I bet I could take you on.”

I jumped back in surprise. Mew actually wanted to battle one of the strongest pokemon in the world. I tried to tell her to calm down, but she yelled at me, ordering me to stay out of it.

Rayquaza only laughed more and said, “Well, since I may destroy this whole island soon, I might as well tell you my reasons.”

*********

“You humans are too destructive for your own good. When you’re not trying to kill each other, your destroying everything around you, including my home. For thousands of years, my home has been the ozone layer, carefully watching the planet. Your recent modern age has weaken my home with those destructive spray bottles and that horrible smoke. And if that wasn’t enough, your kind had to have those machines circling your planet. So many are up there now that its hard for even me to move around. The explosions from these satellites, once they reach the ozone layer, created larger holes in my home. The one that was launched today was the last straw. Now, I’m going to make an example of this place of why you humans shouldn’t bother me!,” Rayquaza shouted to the world.

*********

“I’m so sorry Rayquaza,” I called out to it. “But you can’t blame all humans for the foolish actions of certain groups.”

“Silence!,” Rayquaza roared. “What done is done and your kind will pay the price of nearly making me homeless!”

And with that, Rayquaza wrapped its long green body around the space ship and turned it into dust. Rayquaza gave another powerful roar and flew off to destroy the rest of Mossdeep City.

“Why didn’t you do anything?,” Mew asked me.

“I don’t know,” I answered. “I didn’t want to fight Rayquaza because that would only make things worse.”

“We should go down there and fight back,” Mew said with confidence.

“No, Mew,” I replied. “If we are truly the keys to healing the world, violence and fighting back aren’t the solutions. We need to think of another approach.”

“While you’re doing that, I’ll go down and fight,” Mew called out as she was hovering away.

“Wait, Mew. You can’t fight Rayquaza! You aren’t skilled enough with your psychic powers to fight anything yet. I don’t want you hurt yourself!,” I yelled.

I reached out my hand to hold Mew, but she began to glow bright pink and shocked me with an energy blast. My body felt numb and I didn’t understand why Mew attacked me.

“Mew, why did you attack me?,” I asked. “I thought that I had earned your trust.”

“Well, you were wrong. I only pretended to be nice to you out of a few moments of weakness and fear,” Mew answered with a cold stare.

“But Mew, we need to do this together,” I replied.

“No!,” shouted Mew. “The sooner Rayquaza goes home, the sooner we can leave, and the sooner I’m away from you!”

With those painful words still fresh in my hears, Mew flew towards where Rayquaza was flying. I felt so cold around that fire. I wanted to help, but what could I do? Rayquaza, and possibly Mew now, dislike humans, but they were going to fight. My eyes became tears too quickly and in my weakness to stand, I fell to my knees. I felt as useless as I did back at Little Root Town. I felt ignored and unwanted as well. I didn’t know what to do. I suddenly, felt a stabbing pain right on my arms and my back. I felt the sounds of screams running in my soul.

“Oh no, Mew!,” I screamed as I ran down to where the feelings came from.

I saw a dark purple cloud that had shooting pink and yellow lights. That was where the battle was going on. I couldn’t see a thing, but I felt Mew’s pain. It was as if my blood and her blood were one and the same. I would have given anything for wings to fly right up there and get Mew out of there. Just then, I saw Mew falling down like a rain drop from that dark cloud. Rayquaza jumped out and gathered energy from its surroundings in its mouth. This large amount of power formed an beam of destructive light, known as a Hyper Beam. The beam hit Mew as she fell down on the concrete. We both were in pain and despite the fact that I could barely move, my legs carried me as fast as they could to Mew.

I found Mew under some boulders. She appeared lifeless, but I could still sense her breathing. Blood was flowing from her mouth, tail and parts of her arms. Her marks matched mine and I feared for her life. I tried to put Mew in my arms but out of no where, a blinding flash of light strike us both to the ground. I opened my eyes to see that Mew was out of my hands and closer to Rayquaza’s claws.

“This will teach you two not to interfere with me!,” Rayquaza yelled as its glowing claws were heading towards Mew.

I had little time and only one choice. I knew that Mew could make it through a blow from a Dragon Claw by Rayquaza. Mew tried to move away, but she was too weak from the battle. Just seconds before the tips of Rayquaza’s claws landed on her, I stood in front of Mew and took a direct hit. I knew that the claws had ripped through me to the bones. The last thing I heard was Rayquaza’s roar of triumph. The last thing I felt was the blood flowing down like a river on my back and onto the ground. The last sight I had before darkness took over me was Mew’s bright, light blue eyes, meeting my own eyes, with more tears than I had ever seen her with.

That is all of chapter six. Thank you all for reading it. I hope that Rayquaza didn't look like it did in the movie. I thought that there was a better and more logical reason here. Please review, reply, and rate my story. Just to let you all know so that Rayquaza fans, like myself, won't be mad at me, I only made Rayquaza the bad guy to fit this chapter. You'll have to read the next chapter to see some of Rayquaza's secrets. Thank you all for reading this chapter and I post the new one as soon as possible.

Mwahahaha! *Smoke appears, clears and Wonder Pikachu appears with the Wonder Chef*

Wonder Chef: Oops, wrong place. *Disappears*

;025; XD COMPUTER VIRUS! *Eliminates Wonder Chef from system* Anyway, PROOFREAD YOUR CHAPTER FOR MY SAKE! OR MEW'S SAKE! WHICHEVER! *Felix is eliminated from post via rocket launcher*

The story is quite good, and Keiko's personality is realistic. I mean, it sounds as if she might be the person sitting next to you on the bus. And like that idiot said, you have to proofread, like in some areas there are mistakes like this:

I knew that Mew could make it through a blow from a Dragon Claw by Rayquaza.
Couldn't. And Gengar spelt as Gendar!? You really need to WORK man.

The only thing I'm not happy with here is the lack of proofreading, but it is easily solved by split personalities and/or reading through it twice after you finish. Right, bye for now! *Struggles for control with split personalities*

Thank you both for the reviews. Shiny Flygon, I'm glad that you liked the chapter. I really enjoyed writing it and it was so soothing for me to do so. I hope to work on the next chapter really soon. Felix, I am also glad that you enjoy Keiko's personality. I appreciate that you were kind enough to review my whole story. I do understand where you are coming from with the proofreading and I'll try to work on it, but could you please be a bit more understanding. I'm not trying to insult you or anything but when I read the start of your review, I felt horrible. You see, I'm an emotional type of person and when I read stuff like that is directed towards me, I feel a painful feeling within myself that doesn't leave for awhile. Again, I see where you are coming from but next time, could you please be a bit more seseitive to my feelings. I hope that I didn't make you angry with that request. Anyway, I'll be working on chapter 7 soon and please keep reviewing this. Thank you two again.

Such a beautiful fic. There is something in your writing style that captivates my.

But I still spotted some little mistakes in the last chapter.

I wanted to help them, butt the whistle of policemen and the horns of trucks were already done there.

I suppose this was a typo: "but" has only one t
And "done" should be "down", I think.

Lucky, I was able to cover myself, along with Mew, by hiding behind a near by tree.

Should be luckily and nearby.

But this fic is still excellent and I will keep reading it.

I'm finally back with the lastest chapter. I'm still surprised that my story has a lot of readers now and that makes me happy.
Shiny Flygon: I wanted to thank you again. I hope that you're over that cold.
Felix: I'm glad that you understand what I said and that you weren't mad or anything. I guess I do sound like Keiko. I probably should since I'm tapping into her world everytime I write a new chapter.
Runasutaru: I'm glad that you liked this story. Thanks once again for the picture. It is just perfect for the story.
Yoshi00: Welcome to my story. I'm happy that you like it and I will send you a private message after post this new chapter.
Shadotor: I'm so happy that my words in this story draws you in. I appreciate your help with my mistakes and I hope to fix some of them up later.
This chapter is long and I did my best to proofread. I hope that everyone enjoys it and please reply and review. Thank you and now chapter seven.

Chapter 7: The Hidden Answers

Time appeared to have stopped for me at that moment. I felt rain drops falling only on me, which were creating an ocean of drops. With each passing second, the drops became larger and I began to sink into the water’s depth. It was as if I was falling into the sea itself. My hair became as frozen as ice and it was moving down to cover me like ice cream. I knew then that I would be frozen for all time and be transformed into a guardian of the deep sea. The ice moved quickly and it soon had cover almost my entire body, except for my head. Just as the ice was climbing to finish me off, light came across and touched my shoulder. The ice melted away and fled like a coward. I suddenly opened my eyes to see my savior, but all I saw was water. And a new pair of light touched my eyes and forced me to sleep again.

I slowly opened myself to daylight and I was feeling cold, weak, and helpless. I tried to get up and look around, but my body refused to move. I was surprised that I had lived through Rayquaza’s Dragon Claw. Most humans aren’t able to live through those kinds of attacks, especially if it goes through your bones. Once my eyes returned to normal, I noticed that I was back to where Mew and I were before we were sent to Mossdeep City. I remembered the lush, green grass from before and the huge trees and bushes with endless amounts of fruits and berries to give. I was protected by a large tree’s shadow and it allowed my skin to catch its breathe. I finally realized that Mew was no where near me and I feared for her life. Before I attempted to get up and look for her, I heard a familiar loud roar of Latios. Before I knew it, he darted from no where and pushed me to the ground.

“What were you thinking, you foolish human?,” Latios asked me with an angry tone.

“What do you mean, Latios?,” I asked weakly. I felt like I hadn’t talk in ages.

“You don’t know what you have done, Keiko!,” he shouted. “You and Mew have failed in stopping Rayquaza’s wrath and thus, endangering all dragon pokemon.”

“What do you mean by that?,” I kindly asked.

Suddenly, Latias jumped out of nothing and answered my question for Latios.

“The only thing that we can tell you is that one of Rayquaza’s duties is to keep balance and harmony between all dragons. It has already been weaken by the invention of the pokeball, but it can still thrive as long as Rayquaza lives peacefully in the ozone layer. If Rayquaza becomes totally enraged, like it is right now, the other dragon pokemon will become weak,” Latias finished in a gentle voice.

“Does that mean that both of you are weak, just like the other dragon pokemon?,” I questioned.

“No!,” Latios shouted. “Our psychic traits gives us both enough power to survive through this, for a limited time though.”

“Before long, we will end up like other dragons that are in our hidden world and in your world, Keiko,” Latias concluded.

I looked to my left and I thought I saw visions of what was there in their world. I saw a different green colored pokemon with huge red eyes, large light green wings, and a light and dark green tail. I knew that I was seeing a dragon pokemon called Flygon, but it seemed weak and I could sense its pain. I then saw two much smaller dragons. One was a light blue dinosaur with a rock hard plate for a head. And the other one was a much lighter blue with deep brown eyes and it had no legs. They were a Bagon and a Dratini and both of the were weak as well. I heard through my heart their groans and pains. I wanted to help, but I didn’t know how to. With a click of his claws, Latios brought me back.

“Do you see what you have done?,” Latios questioned.

“I want to fix this mess. Where is Mew?” I weakly begged.

They both moved aside and I saw Mew right behind them. A load of relief was exchanged for fear and worry. She was safe and unharmed. Her blue eyes showed the marks of tears and concern, she tried to hide them. I gave her a warm smile to see if she would come out of hiding. I turned my attention back to Latios and Latias and asked them what had happen.

“We could sense the pain you were having from Rayquaza and we knew that we had to help. Latios got there just in time to save Mew from Rayquaza’s Hyper Beam, but you weren’t there anymore. I looked around and I found you under a building. We figured that Rayquaza put you there, thinking you were already gone, and it focused its attention to finish off Mew. Your mind was going fast and we had to help you both. Latios created another portal for us to escape and we brought you two here. You felt that some water and ice was taking your life and you were right. You were in so deep as we were heading home that I was afraid we wouldn’t be able to save you.

“Your back was completely broken from that Dragon Claw. We weren’t sure if our powers could heal you, but we were determined to try. If your back healed, then you would be out of that water within you. We combined our minds to focus on your injuries and your skin and muscles started to grow back. We wrapped your back with bandages that were covered in medicines from these berries and waited for you to wake up,” Latias finished.

I was thankful for the kindness and for saving us, but I was still confused on why I couldn’t move.

As if reading my mind, Latios said, “There are some things that our powers can’t heal.”

They both started to fade away again and became the images of the trees behind them

“Wait!,” I screamed. “What do I do now?,”

“You must look inside the cave for your answers. We can’t help you any further on this particular problem. Read what lies within,” Latios commanded before he and his sister disappeared.

********

Now, Mew and I were alone again. I tried to move closer to Mew, but it was too painful. I signaled for her to move closer, but she refused. I wanted to tell her that we have to go back, but I couldn’t even breathe normally. How were we, a weaken girl and a baby Mew, suppose to heal Rayquaza’s rage? I remembered the drawings in those caves that Latias and Latios showed to us when we first got here. I figured that there could be something there that would help us. I knew where it was and I needed to get there.

For the first time, I attempted to stand up, but my legs were like jelly and I was unable to walk. I noticed that Mew’s eyes held a secret look of concern as I fell down. She floated closer to me but when I reached for her, she darted away. She was determined to just observe me and I allowed her to . After falling down several times, I regained to feeling of both of my arms. My only choice was to crawl to the cave. I hoped that it wasn’t too far. I grabbed nearly every piece of grass in that field during my journey to the cave. Soon, trees began to vanish and the grass was turning to dirt. I looked up and I saw the entrance to the cave.

As I entered it, I thought that I would need to go through many portals, but the cave drawings were right there. Exhausted beyond imagination, I collapsed right in front of the drawing of Rayquaza.

I awoke with Mew tapping my head with her tail. I saw what I didn’t see in her eyes before: honest concern. I gave her another warm smile and a quick, gentle pat on her head. I hoped that this time, she really wanted to help me.

I remembered the cave drawing and I wanted to see if it would tell a story. Last time, Mew and I were the only ones able to read the words. I saw the ancient text and I felt the words come alive.

“Listen to this, Mew,” I called to her. “This is a story all about Rayquaza.”

I looked back around each word and found where I could start

********

“Let it be known to all who seek the truth about the mighty Rayquaza that its story is just as strong. Though it is strong and watches our world, it is a guardian of peace, not of war.

“Long ago, out of the pool of life, Nature came into three main forms to reveal her wonderful powers. The ancient red dinosaur with the power of Earth at its command was called Groudon. The creation of all the large waters was called Kyogre, an ancient blue and white whale. And finally, Rayquaza had the power of wind at its control. All three of these creatures used their powers to create the world as we know it now. Groudon raised lava and volcanoes to create land, Kyogre raised the sea to cool the lava and form the seas, and Rayquaza cooled the whole planet with its strong gusts of wind. All three of them were honored and treated like gods to the people. But some wanted to control their huge powers for evil.

“Out of pure evil and desires for power, groups of people created a red orb to control Kyogre and a blue orb to control Groudon. With these orbs, people could control their minds and force them to battle. A selected few of these groups went to the temples of Groudon and Kyogre to capture their minds. And with the magic of the orbs, they were successful. Before they knew it, they had lost control of their own minds and the orbs were infused inside of both Groudon and Kyogre. Both creature had lost control of themselves and began to attack each other in a huge battle. They didn’t seem to care that the people who honored their existence were being destroyed in this battle.

“All felt lost until Rayquaza basted out of its own temple and jumped right into the battle. The people thought that Rayquaza was going to fight as well, but it only gave out the strongest roar of all time. With that roar, a hurricane of wind came out of Rayquaza and filled the land. The wind threw both orbs to the far corners of the Earth, never to be found again. The wind gave new marks to all three of the creatures. Groudon now had deeper and darker black lines across its body. Kyogre had red lines around its fins and scales. And Rayquaza had the largest mark of all;Rayquaza earned yellow circle paths from the top of its head to its tail. It was as if Rayquaza was given a halo.

“After that battle, Groudon hid back into the Earth and Kyogre fled to the sea. But Rayquaza had nowhere to go. It had given up its powers over wind to save the world and few were honoring that. The Rayquaza temple was left to collect dust and many people started to fear Rayquaza. In sadness and despair, Rayquaza flew to the stars. It had the desire and passion to guard this world and it thought that this was the only choice left.

“So let it be known now to those who have heard this tale. Rayquaza is guarding the Earth and wishes to continue to protect us.”

********

I was amazed from what I had just finish reading. No wonder Rayquaza didn’t want its ozone layer home destroyed. It was the only home its has. Both Mew and I were in tears and I wanted to help.

“Mew, we have to go back and help Rayquaza,” I told her.

“No!,” Mew cried. “Its too big and scary for us to fight. And besides, you can’t even walk right now.”

“I’m really glad that you do care for me, but we have to help Rayquaza,” I said sincerely.

“I don’t have a home anymore too, but I’m not killing anyone,” Mew replied.

I struggled to get up, but my body still refused. By looking at Rayquaza’s drawing, I noticed something that wasn’t there before.

“Mew, Rayquaza didn’t have those yellow circles and lines across its body when we saw it. Maybe that's the key to figuring out what is going on here,” I observed.

“We should just let someone else handle this now. Its too scary,” Mew said.

“It won’t be so scary if we don this together,” I called out.

“You didn’t battle that dragon. Whenever I tried to attack, I was froze and I couldn’t move. That is why I lost so easily. I don’t want that to happen again,” Mew stated.

With new found strength, I replied back to Mew, “If we work as one, we can do this Mew. We can find another answer that doesn’t have violence. I won’t let you get hurt ever again.”

Mew stared at me, feeling surprised that I gave her such a comment.

“I can feel everything that you do, Mew. I want to help you. I never had a parent like you did, but I can help heal you of your pain. All you have to do is start trusting me and that trust will grow. With that, we can do anything,” I truly said.

With those words touching Mew’s heart, as well as my own, she started to cry with different tears. Her cries were out of joy and happiness came out with a smile. I found new happiness in Mew’s happiness. Just then, we both began to glow in a white light. Mew floated to me and for the first time ever, Mew offered me to come near me. I couldn’t express my happiness then with words. Mew came and held my hand as I still was confined to the ground. With her touch, our glows became one and I could breathe. It felts so new to me to have my lungs rise up and down normally again. I held onto Mew’s small hand and I no longer felt pain. The bandages came down like leaves and my legs returned to normal. I looked into Mew’s beautiful blue eyes and we both cried with joy.

“Do you wan to try again now, Mew?,” I asked her.

She was in tears and gave me a nod of approval.

“Don’t worry Mew. We’ll get through this and everything together,” I promised her as I held onto her in my arms.

Thank you for reading my lastest chapter. I had such a great time writing it and typing it as well, even though it took me two hours to do both writing and typing it. Please review and reply. Thank you all once again.

Well, fine, but ya still need to work. I still volunteer for being a proofreader utility, so you could PM me each chapter if you want. Great chapter though, and another mystery! As usual, killer plot, uhhh...... not very commendable grammar and related thingies. Oh well. Pika out.

Hmm, the old, 'no place to go but here and now you (censored) won't let me have that?' plot? Yep, nice, very nice. You often wonder how R, G and K got those marks, and I have my own idea. But your idea is also very nice. Great description, fantastic plot, and that's about it really, coursework's getting me down, and I'm probably going to end up restarting EL and AAML as I'm getting little time to write. But enough about me, this was a great chapter, and I can't wait for the next one.

I find it odd no one would give Keiko a name - even at four years old. I think the people at the hospital technically would... now, if you wanted it to be more believable, you could have had her name herself, after having been given another name - because she wanted to be special.

And if it was a diesease so horrible, how come Keiko hasn't noticed the symptoms - or the difference in appearance. It's clear she's around other humans, so something should be wrong enough to manifest it, if it was so horrible.

Despite these.. tiny plot holes - if you could call it that, the length is decent, and the description, while it could use a bit more work, is better than some I've seen. This story is promising, and I hope you improve with every chapter.

Thank you for your comments Saffire Persian. I can see why you would see these as holes but, I would be glad to explain these plot holes, as you call them. These little holes will become more clear. I don't want to spoil anything, especially since I'm not even close to finishing half of the story, but I can say what may could to be. The hospital will be revealed for what it really was, as well for those working inside. The naming herself thing will reveal itself after the battle with Rayquaza. I was going for her desire to be seen more than she wanted to be special, but either one would work. The disease and how people see it has a major plot, so I can't give away any kind of description of it, but it will make more sense later. My point is that everything there that doesn't make much sense now will come all together throughout the story and show a large importance in the story line. Anyway, I still thank you for your comments, as well as everyone else's. I always feel happy when someone takes their time to read and review my story. Thank you all again and I hope to have chapter 8 up soon.

Wow. Just, wow.

You're a great writer, Hidden Mew. I just...there's just something about the way this fic is written that makes it really terrific. Sure, there are some typos and things, but otherwise it's really good. Keep it up! :)

Yet another lovely chapter Hidden Mew! ^-^

I see you have already fixed the typos Felix pointed out. ^-^

And sorry for not replying sooner,it´s just that I haven´t been that interested in this forum lately,not your fault... ^-^;;;

Something I noticed is that the story is great, yet the description is still scarce.

I usually prefer long descriptions of the enviroment, but your short ones seem to be enough for me,must be your writing style.

Wellz, hope to see the next chapter soon! ^-^

I'm still so surprised that a lot of people do like my story and I'm so thankful for that. I unfortunately do not have the next chapter ready yet. I thought I could have for this weekend, but I need to prepare for finals and for a ton of other assignments. Anyway, I appreciate everyone who replied and read my story and I'll thank you all again when I get chapter eight up. Hopefully, I'll be able to do so next weekend. Thanks you all again.

Once again. Another great chapter. Yeah, there are those minor grammatical errors, but sometimes, plot-holes are needed to add an element of mystery. Just remember to fill them in as the fic progresses. But again, another great chapter.

Chapter 8: The Truth of Rage

At that moment, I felt new energy surging within my soul. I felt Mew’s breath timed exactly with my own. The wall that Mew had hid behind for so long finally seemed to be destroyed. I just felt her presence with my own. Although Mew was still small, she was able to wrap her tail gently around my neck. I held her in my arms, just like a child, as we were walking out of the ancient caves.

When we came out, everything appeared to be even more beautiful. The trees looked tall enough th touch the sky and their leaves were as green as the grass below. The sky and the clouds were mixing as one to form a different sky. The golden sun shined down upon everything, giving life to plants and creatures alike. In the mist of all this beauty, I remembered what Mew and I must do.

“Mew, you know what we need to go back, right?,” I asked as I looked down at her head.

“Yes, we have to help Rayquaza regain control of its rage. But I’m confused about is how do we do that,” Mew replied as she stared into my eyes with her soft blue eyes.

“I’m not so sure myself,” I answered back. “Maybe that green portal will show up again and that will bring us back to Rayquaza. Once we’re there, we can think up of some kind of plan to help it,”

“But what if we mess up again?,” Mew wondered. “What if we’re just not strong enough to do anything for Rayquaza?”

After a moment of serious thinking, I replied, “Well, maybe if we trust each other a bit more, then we could be stronger. It just happened after we read Rayquaza’s story in the cave. Maybe it can work again.”

Mew’s eyes stared at me and I could sense the up-coming tears forming in her eyes. I knew that she was afraid of humans, after what happened to her mother. I had to try and help Mew that she could start opening up to me.

“I understand,” I began, “that it can be hard to trust someone like this. I always had a hard time trusting people. When I was little, everyone told me that there was something wrong with me, but I never felt anything that was different. No one in that hospital even gave me a real name. I had to name myself. I wonder if that was even a real place now. When I think about that stuff now, its amazing that I’m the same person. Who would have thought that a lonely wallflower like me would be in some legend and be able to help someone like you, Mew.”

“If you had a hard time trusting humans, why can you trust me so easily?,” Mew finally asked.

“When I saw you for the first time, something inside of me clicked. I felt as if I needed to help you and that we needed each other,” I answered.

For a few moments, Mew was silent and thinking. She seemed to be struck with the fact that I cared for her so much. She remained in my arms for a little while and then jumped out. She took a deep breath and began her tale.

“I’m so sorry that I was so mean to you before. Everything that Rayquaza said brought out the angry that I had held back. I don’t really like to fight, but I couldn’t stop myself. I’m suppose to be the purest pokemon, but I easily cave into my anger. I never want to feel anger like that ever again. Please don’t hate me,” Mew cried out.

I placed my hand on her hand and said, “I couldn’t hate you or anyone one else. I could be really angry, but I can never really hate anyone. That includes you, my friend.”

Mew’s eyes froze right in place. “We are friends?,” she asked quietly.

“I would like to think so,” I answered as I opened my hand as a sign of friendship.

For a while, Mew just floated in mid-air. She looked at her tiny pink hand and started to slowly move it towards my own. When she finally placed her hand there, I gently held it within my fingers and I felt a warmth within me. We stared at each for some time and then we started to cry and smile at the same time. We held each other for beyond what time can tell. Suddenly, we both started to glow again in white light. A hole came out of the ground and we both slowly fell right through it. This time, it felt as if we were going underwater. We saw the ripples coming along as we slowly moved down the river tube

In almost a second, I saw the light that led us back to where we started from. We were back above Mossdeep City. It was covered in flames but as we floated closer, only parts of the island were on fire, especially the remains of the space center. I sensed Mew’s fear as we saw what had happened and I signaled her to come closer. She quickly came and held onto my arm. We came down as easy as a cloth and I felt the ground on my feet.

Mew and I started to walk towards where we last saw Rayquaza when I heard nearby shouts and cries.

“Lunatone use your Icebeam!,” yelled a firm, female voice.

“Solrock use your Solarbeam!,” shouted a firm, male voice.

Mew and I stood behind some crumble pieces of a building and I saw those two people. I looked at them and I knew in a second that they were twins. For a moment, I thought that they were both girls, but I noticed the difference in their facial structure and I realized that one of them was a boy. They both had dark blue hair that matched with their eyes. The boy and girl had different hair styles that were held by a single star-shaped bow. They were dressed in light blue ninja styled clothes that reminded me of some time in ancient Japan. The girl had a pokemon that looked like it fell of off the moon with red eyes named Lunatone. The boy had another pokemon that appeared to be a smaller image of the sun with yellow spikes around its circular, dark orange body. As I continued to watch them, I saw that they were trying to find Rayquaza in this flaming land. I looked back at Mew, who was right behind me, and we knew what to do. I had little experience of talking with people and I was nervous, but I needed to do this.

“Please stop!,” I yelled as I ran towards the twins. “Stop trying to hurt Rayquaza.”

“What are you talking about? Who are you anyway?,” asked the angry boy.

“That isn’t important right now,” I nervously replied. “Attacking Rayquaza isn’t going to stop it. It will only make it full of more rage and anger.”

“Well, I don’t think that you can tell us what to do,” the girl coldly said.

“We’re the Mossdeep City co-gym leaders. I’m Tate and this is my sister Liza,” Tate said.

“I can introduce myself, Tate,” Liza called back. “Anyway, we need to stop this monster. It has destroyed our gym, the space center where our parents work, and most of all, Rayquaza has destroyed our home.”

I looked around for a moment and I saw what they meant. Before Rayquaza lost control, everything on the island was full of busy and thriving lives. People looked at each day as a new chance to uncover the unknown. The land and the sea were connected in a harmonious balance and nothing could break it. Now, everything around me was on fire or in ruins. The sea didn’t help the land as the tide went out. There was no telling how many lives have been lost in the name of rage. Mew was still behind me, but she could also see this horrible destruction come alive with anger.

I looked back at Liza and Tate, whose eyes were on fire with rage. Looking back, I saw that same fire in Rayquaza’s eyes as it began to attack the whole island. Liza and Tate turned back and ordered their pokemon to attack again, but nothing happened. Mew came up and looked at me with her sad blue eyes. She and I both remembered that rage’s fire was also in her eyes. I knew that we had to help them both stop feeding their rage like this. Mew came closer to me and wrapped her tail around my neck. Just then, I noticed that Liza and Tate were looking at me. It was as if they forgot my existence and just remembered that I was right in front of them.

“You have a Mew and you let it wrap its tail around your neck!,” they both yelled out in union.

“There isn’t time to explain right now. I understand that Rayquaza has destroyed your home, but fighting back with anger isn’t going to make it better. And besides that, I don’t think that its Rayquaza’s fault,” I quickly answered.

“You’re not making any sense,” Tate replied.

“I’m sorry about this whole mess, but you two need to get off the island before Rayquaza comes to us. Mew and I need to stay here,” I explained.

“You can’t tell us what to do!,” Liza screamed. “And besides, how can you stop this dragon anyway?”

“Well, I need to talk to it to see if that stops Rayquaza’s rage,” I nervously said.

You can’t just talk to a destructive monster and expect to make everything better,” Liza shouted.

Before I could answer back, Rayquaza busted out of a fire wall. The snake dragon pokemon looked the same as before, except that it was even more angry. Out of the corners of my eyes, I looked around Rayquaza to see if the yellow hallos were there, but Rayquaza was completely green. It looked at me and Mew with anger flowing out of its eyes. They slowly moved towards Liza and Tate, who were both frozen like ice with fear. Once again, it seemed that they had forgotten that I was right next to them. Rayquaza opened its snake-like mouth and started to gather energy to form a Hyper Beam. Solrock and Lunatone floated in front of their trainers and were preparing to launch a Solarbeam and an Icebeam, but Rayquaza knocked them out with its Dragon Claw. Liza and Tate brought out the instruments of the world’s imbalance, their pokeballs and called back their pokemon. It appeared that Solrock and Lunatone were transformed into a red energy mass in order to fit into this red and white ball. And with that, Liza and Tate stood still, awaiting their fate.

Mew and I wanted to help, but we didn’t know how. Suddenly, we felt another new surge of energy flowing through our veins. It felt as if a river of strength had started to rush inside of our bodies. I sensed Mew’s body starting to glow and be covered in a mass of energy. I was surprised since Mew hadn’t learn to control her psychic powers but with this unknown source of energy, Mew’s body was now flowing with those powers. Our eyes became one and we focused on Liza and Tate. The energy took the form of a ball and it was sent out of Mew’s body. It grabbed them both just before Rayquaza’s Hyper Beam could destroy them. Through our eyes, we could see that they made it to the far end of the island where rescue ships had finally arrived.

********

“You two again!,” roared Rayquaza. “I thought that I got rid of you hours ago.”

Just then, Mew and I stopped glowing and we felt drained. It came and went quite quickly and that energy took its toll on us both.

“So I see that you are starting to see what your powers can do. Too bad that you two won’t live long enough to see them fully developed,” Rayquaza said with an evil grin across its mouth.

“Rayquaza, this isn’t like you!,” I shouted, nearly out of breath. “You are the world’s protector. Mew and I read how you gave up your power over the wind to save the world from Groudon and Kyogre’s fight. Why are you doing this?”

“I have wanted to do this for ages, ever since those humans banished me out of my true home. But I have been too calm about it. Now, thanks to that explosion from the satellite, I can finish what I’ve been wanted to do,” answered Rayquaza.

Mew was too tired and fell into my arms. I could feel that she was a tried as I was. We were both confused and we wanted some answers.

“We aren’t going to fight you, Rayquaza. If I fight back like this, then I’ll only hurt this world even more,” I replied.

“Then you both shall perish!,” Rayquaza yelled as its claws were glowing, forming another Dragon Claw to slash us both.

Mew and I stood there, since we were too weak to move at all. Then something clicked inside of us. Our strength was coming back, but it was different this time. It felt as if another force was giving us its strength and working through us both. Our eyes began to glow in a white light and we froze Rayquaza in its track. From our bodies, energy took the form of white light and it enveloped all of us in its wake. Eventually, we were all surrounded in a white dome of energy. It felt peaceful, yet powerful in that dome. Our eyes stopped glowing and our strength was renewed.

Rayquaza, on the other hand, seemed to be in pain. I thought that the light was too bright for it but at a closer look, I saw the true cause of its pain. Lighting bolts and arrows of pure white were stabbing Rayquaza. They were pushing through Rayquaza’s entire body. They were coming out of Rayquaza’s claws, tail, and center body. It looked like to arrows of light were slaying the beast within Rayquaza. Mew and I could sense the pain as each arrow of light went through Rayquaza’s flesh. Finally, one of the bolts of white light jumped out of Rayquaza’s head and it was holding some kind of ball. The lights disappeared in mid-air and left the ball floating as well. At a closer look, we saw that it was actually a purple orb. I was surprised since I thought that there was only the red and blue orbs. Suddenly, white lighting struck the orb and broke it in half. Those two halves of the purple orb became the red and blue orbs. Mew and I were amazed, but confused at the same time. We remembered that Rayquaza was still here and we noticed that it was lying down motionless on the ground. With Mew still in my arms, I ran towards Rayquaza, being careful as I came closer. As I gently touched Rayquaza’s face, checking to see any marks of blood, its yellow eyes were opened and they didn’t reflect anger back to me. It rose back up in the air and it resembled the drawing on the cave wall, except for the yellow circles.

“Thank you,” replied Rayquaza. “You two have saved me from my own destruction.”

“What do you mean?,” I asked.

"Long ago, when the orbs were created, it was said that if the red and blue orbs were to be combined, a purple orb would form. This orb would be different and much more destructive than the other orbs. Instead of controlling my powers, the purple orb would release my anger towards humans and give me my powers over the wind again. All of this would come at a price, though. If I was not to be stopped within two day, my rage would have caused the whole planet to go on fire. Luckily, no one has tried to do that, until today.”

“But how did it happen, Rayquaza?,” I questioned.

“The last thing that I remember before all of this was that the satellite was destroyed right in front of me and there was a lot of smoke choking me. The red and blue orbs must have been in the satellite somehow and they formed the purple orb while they were in the satellite. Once it was destroyed, the orb sensed my presence and took control of me,” Rayquaza explained.

“That does make sense, but how did we help you? Did we cause those lights and this dome to form? Do you know?,” I wondered.

“Your bond is starting to take shape. As you two go on in your journey, it will grow, along with your powers. In time, you both will understand,” Rayquaza answered with a smile on its face.

Mew and I stared at each other for a moment and we started to smile too. We knew then that this was the true Rayquaza, the protector of our world.

“Now, I need to try to repair all trouble that I have made,” Rayquaza firmly said. “I could turn back time by flying around the world at top speed, but my heart would still ache for all that I have done.”

In less than a moment, Rayquaza busted out of the light dome and destroyed it in the process. We looked up to see Rayquaza hovering above the island. We were sure in those moments of silence that Rayquaza was crying over the sight of the destruction it had caused. Suddenly, Rayquaza let out such a powerful roar that the trees were at its command. The wind from Rayquaza’s roar took form and blew out all of the fires. As it continue to roar, Rayquaza’s energy healed all the plants and lives that were lost by its anger. I have heard that all dragon pokemon have this power, but few are strong enough to use it like this. Rayquaza’s body began to glow as it had been roaring for countless minutes. All eyes were on Rayquaza and I hoped that those eyes were forgiving it. Finally, after all of the destruction had been mended, Rayquaza lowered itself to the ground. Mew and I heard loud shouts and cheers from the far end of the island. We weren’t sure if they thought that Rayquaza was gone and were happy for that or if they were celebrating that it had saved their homes. As it landed, the yellow hallos around its whole body began to set in. Within a few moments, Rayquaza got up and it knew that it had lost its power over the wind once again.

“I must leave now,” Rayquaza told us. “Even though I saved their homes and their lives, people may still resent my presence on this island for some time. Hopefully, one day, they will forgive me as I will forgive the people who banished me to the ozone layer centuries ago.”

“We understand,” Mew and I said in union.

Suddenly, a green hole opened up in the ground. It looked like the same hole that we went through before.

“I wish you two good luck on your journey,” Rayquaza called out as it flew up into the blue sky.

“Goodbye,” I said as Mew and I called out to Rayquaza. In a few seconds, Rayquaza was out of sight.

Mew and I jumped into the hole and it felt like we were going down a slide. It felt warm and peaceful in the slide of the sea of green. We ended up back where we had sat down before in a matter of seconds. We both felt a sense of relief.

“We did it, Mew. We finally did it,” I happily said.

As a reply, Mew held onto me and was happily laughing. Out of the corner of our eyes, we saw Latios and Latias coming through the trees. They were still transparent, but we could see their proud smiles.

“We can’t stay for long,” Latias called out. “But we wanted to congratulate you two on your first success on your journey.”

“We are glad that you’re both started to get along,”Latios stated. “But remember, this is only the beginning.” And with that, they both disappeared back to their realm.

As it was getting late, Mew and I decided to just sleep. We were drained of energy and we needed to rest. We entered the cave where we slept before and the rocks below began glow the second we laid down. It was even warmer than any blanket. I was wondering if Mew would still trust me in the morning and as if she sense my worries, she slept right next to me, instead of across the cave. My worries ceased and we felt into a deep and peaceful sleep.

There you have it. The battle with Rayquaza is over. This chapter felt really long to me, but I still like it and I loved writing it. I hope that everyone has enjoyed this chapter. I will start working on chapter 9 as soon as possible, probably after this weekend. Happy Holidays everyone.

Well done! Another great chapter. *applaudes* Not as many typos this time, except near the beginning there was a "th" instead of a to. I'll quote it below.

Merry Christmas!

I just said the same thing in three differant languages. Awesome chapter, and I always thought Rayquaza was missing a gem/orb. The whole thing fits together quite nicely, every gap you notice being filled in as you read more, and the descrition is great. Overall, keep it up, this is doing great.

I speedread through and only two typos near the end stuck out at me. You're getting better. ^_^

A few plot holes filled. Enough for me at the moment. And that's an interesting idea, that purple orb.

I'm starting to wonder what's next. Hmm...

Another amazing chapter you have made. *applause* You put the orbs in the story and created a new one. Of all the fanfics I have read this is the best. Except for some few typos this capter was great. I recommend you to read the chapters over and over again to evade typos, anyways, this is the best chapter I have read.

Happy Holidays to all!!!

Well the story so far is great mew and Keiko It was good to see that Rayquaza did not distory everything of the weather station. Also to see that mew and Keiko have finally started to trust one another.

Hope to see more of your great work soon.

Awesome story. What I like most is that Mew actually is a character, not a mindless tool. (I usually hate fics that have captured Legendaries in them, especially Mew, but this one's different :))

Anyway... I hope that Mew and Keiko succeed! ;151;

Thank you all for your replies. I am so sorry for the total lack of updates. I'm in grade 11 and ever since I got back from winter break, I've been much too busy with loads of school work. I've had the idea of chapter 9 in my head for some time now, but not the time to write it down. Since this weekend is my birthday weekend,(on Feb.9!), I will write the next chapter and hopefully get it up here before March. Thank you all again and I'll give individual thanks once I get the chapter up. Thanks again.

Oh Hidden Mew! This is one of the most cutest and sweetest fics I've ever read! It's very discriptive and heart-warming! You're very talented and I congratulate you for that.
;025; - It's the same in every review you made so far.
Oh be quiet Cheeky! Here's my most annoying Poke-companion I have.
;025; - I'm not annoying!
You keep interrupting, so stop! Oh there's Myra!
;151; - Sorry I'm late.
No you're not. Oh, Myra, I want you to read this fic.
;151; - I already have and I think it's very correctly done, very talented and even though it has spelling errors, I give it a five out of five stars. Now leave me alone.
Thank you Myra. Cheeky?
;025; - Meh. It's okay. Maybe when the next CHAPTER'S posted, I'll like it more.
That was mean Cheeky! To the corner!
;025; -Grrr....
Ignore Cheeky, Hidden Mew. He's very rude. *glares* Anyway, I think the name Keiko is very cute. And the first person point of view is so discriptive...I'm speechless...

Chapter 9: Wish Upon a Dexoys

A ray of light woke me up one morning. It felt like it was years since our battle with Rayquaza, but time does not come to this place. Mew was still curled up on my legs, just like a puppy would. Since we helped Rayquaza, Mew’s trust for me has bloomed, slowly but surely, like a flower. Every time we wake up, we play until the dusk of night enter our land. Mew loves to play tag, a game that I easily taught her. She can float higher now and she goes up to the tips of the trees so that I can’t touch her. When we were too tired to play, we would lie down on the grass pillows under some trees and reflect on this natural beauty. The trees seemed to get bigger at any second and the leaves can grow as large as a snowboard. The grass itself entangled the both of us with its long tips so that it felt like wet clouds. With all of this peace, our troubles have long been forgotten. We have talked to each other about our pasts, but we always stopped before our tears of yesterday destroy our joy of today. Even though her trust for me has grown, I still felt that she is hiding something from me. But that will become clear with more kindness towards her. I have no clue how much time has past since our battle nor do I want to know. Time has only given me heartache and headaches. Time became a confusing maze for us, so the both of us lived in the moment.

That morning, I woke up to more than just Mew. At first, I could only see her circled on my legs. She was still small enough to fit into my hands, but she has grown from my shoulders to my elbow. My vision was so unfocused, but I could still see Mew’s sky blue eyes opening too. The sight of me gave her such a smile that she jumped up to my head and played with some of my long brown hair. This had become our morning ritual for awhile now. I answered her joy by rubbing her pink head with gentle hands.

After we both gave our good morning welcomes, we both noticed that something was wrong as we left the safety of the caves. The sun was clearly out, but all of the stars were still visible.

“What’s going on?,” Mew asked. “Is it morning or is it night-time?”

“I don’t know, Mew,” I answered. “It feels like morning but at the same time, it looks like the middle of the night.”

The golden sun was breaking through the sky and burning th ground and yet, the dark blue sky of the night was unaffected. All of the stars were in their places and were shinning their light on us. Nothing of the night had changed. Both Mew and I were so confused that we couldn’t move.

“I got it!,” I finally said. “We could find Latios and Latias and see if they know anything about this.”

“That’s a great idea! But we haven’t seen them since we came back from helping Rayquaza,” Mew replied.

“That is true. We’ve had so much peace in this place that they probably haven’t called on us since there wasn’t any dangers,” I stated.

Suddenly, flashing lights appeared right in front of us. One was red and the other was blue. The red flash transformed into Latias and the blue one became Latios. They both appeared to be the same, but I could tell that Latias was worried.

“I’m sure that you two have noticed the day and night clashing into one,” Latios calmly said to us.

“It would be really hard to miss. What does this mean?,” I asked.

“This is the beginning of the festival of stars. Hopefully, you two won’t have to worry too much about this,” he answered.

“What do you mean by a festival of stars?,” Mew asked.

“Stars are symbols of hope and light. They are the night dancers, yet few are awake to she them. They want others to be awake to see their intense beauty. So, every now and then, there is a battle between day and night to see which one can have control of the sky. The night always wins, but daylight always tries to overcome it. Once night wins the battle, the stars will go into different patterns. Finally, just before the sun takes over, some stars fall from the sky and into the ground. All of the pokemon stay up so that we can honor the stars and their beauty,” Latios finished.

“That does sound like fun, but do we need to worry about those stars hitting the ground?,” I asked.

“Right now, all you two need to do is to go back to sleep,” Latios commanded. “In this place, if anyone is awake for too long during this battle, they will be weaken beyond measure.”

After that, we all agreed to go back to sleep. But as Mew and I were turning back into the cave, I couldn’t help but notice the deep look of concern across Latias’s face. She almost looked like she would cry at any moment.

“Latias, is there something wrong?,” I asked out of concern.

“Well, I just wanted to say something else about those falling stars. The biggest falling star supposedly has the power to grant wishes. They can be wishes of any kinds,” Latias stated.

With this news, Mew jumped up to hear more. Her blue eyes widen with some new found ray of hope.

“But always remember that these wishes have a deep price. And you might not be able to afford it,” Latias wisely said.

And with that, she flew up to a nearby tree with giant green leaves to meet her brother as they slowly returned to their side of this world.

As they started to disappear, Latios called out, “You both will wake up when the first ray of moonlight strikes the sky!”

Mew and I suddenly started to feel tried and we rushed back into the cave for some sleep. I laid down first and Mew quickly landed on my legs. Being awake this long in this battle made us so tired that the moment we closed our eyes, we instantly went into sleep.

***********

Everything became dark so fast. I couldn’t feel anything anymore. I felt the roars of so many beasts. Clashes if thunder struck the ground and I felt my whole body shake. My breathing was the only familiar sound and I sensed something near by. I looked behind me and I saw a hand of pure darkness reaching out to me. For a moment, I couldn't’ move, but I ran like a dart the moment my body woke up. Despite my speed, this hand grabbed me and started to pull me towards it. I screamed with all of my lung power for help. I called for Latios and Latias, but neither of them came. Just before I was taken away, I cried out for Mew. But no one came. Another dash of thunder woke me up in a dripping cold sweat. I looked around me and I was right where I was in the caves. It had all been just a dream, but no dream that I ever had.

*********

All through that nightmare, Mew had slept through it peacefully on my legs. She shortly woke up after me with a yawn. Once she saw me, a warm smile followed.

“Good morning, Keiko. Or is it good night?,” Mew said to me as we both got up.

“I’m not sure, Mew. It is all dark outside,” I answered in my shocked state of mind.

“Is there something wrong?,” Mew asked with concern. “Did you have a bad dream?”

“I did, but I don’t want to think about it now. Its too confusing to put it all together right now. Let’s wait until after this festival of stars to figure it out,” I replied to Mew.

“Okay. let’s go and see the pretty stars,” Mew said with the excitement of a child.

I wasn’t at all surprised at Mew’s joy. Even though we have connected and bonded so well, she still goes out every night to find her mother’s star. That is her only reminder of her presence. I always tell her that I understand and she happily goes out and gaze at the sky.

When we finally got out, the sky was glowing in stars. You couldn’t find an empty spot anywhere. I had never seen such beauty in this place before. The both of us felt so amazed at this sight that we couldn’t move.

Out of nowhere, Latias and Latios appeared right before our eyes.

“Now that you two are awake, you both can take part in the festival,” said Latios.

“What do you mean?,” Mew and I asked in union.

“While we stay in our world, you two will watch the stars as they dance and fall for you. If you had stayed awake, not only would the both of you be too weak, but the stars would fall on you since you wouldn’t see them,” Latias explained.

“So everyone here just stays awake to see the stars dance and fall, right?,” I asked them.

“Yep,” answered Latios.

“You also need to be awake for that wishing star. Any kind of wish could be made. And that wish can do further harm to the world’s balance. That’s where you two come in,” replied Latias.

“You mean that there might be danger in making a wish?,” Mew asked.

“You both will find out soon enough,” Latios said as he and his sister disappeared once more.

We soon found a nice spot to watch the stars. It was a soothing green hill high above the ground. A beautiful tree’s huge green leaves were singing as the wind blew by. Mew and I waited to see the night’s beauty that we miss in our sleep. We were quite for a long time until I finally broke the ice.

“So Mew, what will you wish for once we see the biggest star fall?,” I asked nicely.

“I’m not sure, but...,” Mew answered with a confused look stuck on her face. It almost felt like she was lost in thought as she tried to find her words in her mind.

“Well, I have a good idea of what I would wish for,” I said as I slowly got Mew’s attention back.

“I want to find out the truth beneath so many lies in my past. I want to find out how I ended up in that awful hospital for all of those years. Everyone just kept on telling me that I was sick, but I never felt sick. In fact, all my life I’ve been healthy. They all told me that my parents were killed but now, that doesn’t feel like the truth. I’ve never met them, but those so-called doctors never gave me details about my life at all. How I ended up in their hands, what “disease” I’m suppose to be suffering from, and why I don’t feel any different was never cleared up. Basically, I want to know of my origins. I remember my past too well, but I don’t know how I got there.”

For awhile, Mew just stared at me with those soft blue eyes. I could feel her feelings as we just sat there. Even though she does trust me, Mew still feels nervous about expressing her feelings. It must be her natural shy nature. By looking into her eyes, I could tell what wish Mew was thinking of, but I didn’t say anything. It would just make her even more nervous. So I left her to play around with her thoughts as we continued to wait for the stars.

Just as it got so dark that I could barely see the grass on my feet, the stars began to glow in a bright white shine. Everything else grew dark and the ground disappeared. Mew and I felt as if were we floating away like clouds. The night sky took control of everything and nothing was left. Only the sky and stars existed at that moment. The stars became bright orbs of light that lit up the sky like a Christmas tree. Suddenly, the stars began to move like dancers. They moved around each other in a circle and then came together to reveal the bright orange moon. The orbs of stars started to form patterns of different shapes too numerous to mention. Next, all of the bright white stars appeared to be slowly moving towards us. We could almost touch the stars as they floated by. Just as they came to our faces, the stars shot right back up into the sky. Then it stopped. The stars shinned like polished crystals and they slowly began to fall like rain. Suddenly, I could feel the ground again and the divider between land and sky was visible again.

That whole sight was breath-taking. Mew and I were in awe from this sight of beauty. I could barely believe that the whole event could take place that quickly. I could feel the stars’ bright energy through this whole process. I turned to Mew and her eyes were appreciating these sights with tears. I saw a beautiful smile come out on her face and I felt her happiness as well as my own.

Suddenly, we saw a large hole forming in the sky. It was like a small ripple in water that continued to grow larger. The area began to change and we both felt like we were pulled into the water of the sky. As quickly as that feeling came, it left. Mew and I were now somewhere else. The hill felt the same, but the rest of the landscape was different. There were many tall mountains with strong, green grass growing on them. As Mew and I finally got up, we saw how this deep mountain area was hiding valleys with all kinds of lush green grass everywhere. It was like a small paradise in another world.

“Keiko, how did we get here?,” Mew asked me.

“I don’t know, but it must have be something important if it happened during the festival of stars,” I answered.

Just then, a falling star was coming in fast. It went pass the both of us in a matter of seconds. When it finally landed, it left a hole the size of half of a city. By then, Mew was frightened and she went straight behind me. I went closer to the hole to find out what it was. The star was actually a meteorite, a large grey space rock, and there seemed to be a large crack in the middle of it. Light shined from the crack and a shadow appeared from this rock.

I first saw its long straight red and blue arms come out. I couldn’t see what it was because of all of the smoke from the meteorite. When it did come out, the creature was like nothing I had ever saw before. It had bindable red and blue skin and a perfect straight line between its eyes. It had no hands or legs, but it could still move. I noticed that there was a pure green crystal in the center of its body. Its pitch black eyes saw me and fear took its hold on my legs. I wanted to run away but I couldn’t. Finally, the creature floated up above the both of us and psychic waves beamed out of its head.

“Stay where you are. I need the both of you to help me,” the creature asked.

“What are you? Are you some kind of pokemon?,” I bravely asked.

“Your kind has given me the odd name of Deoxys. I have come here as a wish by a fellow pokemon. You two must find the one who called me.”

“Why can’t you go get to this pokemon yourself?,” Mew asked.

“Be silent!,” Deoxys screamed out as it sent a beam of dark energy towards our minds.

“You have to do this! It is written that whenever another creature is wished for during this festival from another world, the protectors, meaning you two, will have to lead the wished for creature to the one who called it,” Deoxys cried out.

That energy Deoxys gave out was as painful as a knife cutting through your skin. I quickly checked on Mew and I relaxed once I knew that she was okay.

“Fine, we’ll help you. But don’t try to hurt Mew like that again,” I said with a firm tone.

With that, Deoxys pointed us northward and we began our search.

And that is that for this chapter. I hope that it was worth the wait and that everyone enjoyed it. I have no clue as to when the next chapter will be up, but I will work on it. Please review when you can. Thank you all agian.

Another great chapter. No typos as far as my eye can see, though the weird tense transition bothers me a lot. I can't tell whether you want to use the present or the past tense. Back to Deoxys.

Whatta fanatic. He really wants to go find the guy who called him? He's a serious fanatic.

Oh, and I feel that the last part was rushed. You didn't put a lot of words into expressing Keiko and Mew's surprise, and Deoxys sounded like some wish-fulfilling fanatic. Graagh. Gotta work on that now. Pika out.

Hidden Mew
5th June 2006, 1:10 AM
I'm finally back. I'm sorry that I haven't had a chapter up for awhile. I've been busy with school ever since spring break. I was hoping to have one up earlier last month, but I had to prepare for finals. I had my finals on the last full week of May and now I'm in the clear for summer. Hopefully, I'll be able to write a lot more chapters during the summer. I have about half of the chapter done and I should be done sometime tomarrow or Tuesday. I'll go ahead and give the much needed and appreciated thanks.

Kutie Pie: Thanks for the review. I know that I have a few mistakes, but I typed this chapter and posted it all in one night. I'm glad that you liked it still.

-Yoshi-: Thank you for your review as well. There will be lengdary pokemon throughout this story, but I will try and put it other kinds of pokemon too.

Pikachuism: I appreciate your review on this chapter. I'm glad that I didn't have so many typos. I'll look into the present and past tense problem later. Deoxys' reason to find the one who wished for it will become really clear in the next chapter. I hope that it surprise some people. I also describe how Keiko and Mew feel with Deoxys at the start of the chapter.

katekitten: I thank you for the review. I'm glad that you like the festivial of stars. I wanted something interesting like that for this chapter. It probably sounds rushed because I was typing this up at night and I just wanted to get it up as soon as possible. Thanks for pointing out that typo.

Demy: I'm glad that my story can still touch people. I appreciate your review and I thank you for pointing out that typo.

*umbreon*masta*1*1*: Thank you for your review too. I'm happy that you liked the chapter.

I'll be able to post the next chapter either tomarrow or Tuesday. Thank you all again and I hope that you like the next chapter as well.

EDIT: Just like I said before, I'm back. Now I have the brand new chapter. I hope that everyone enjoys it. I worked really hard on it. It is a long chapter, but I think that its good. Remember to review and rate when you can. Thank you and enjoy the chapter.

Chapter 10: Jirachi’s Secret

We had been walking for what felt like hours. My feet were as heavy as stones and my arms were numbed with pain from Deoxys’ last attack. I cradled Mew in my arms like a caring guardian since she was too weak to float after Deoxys blasted such negative energy at her. She was in a deep slumber, oblivious to everything around her. I was happy that she would survive, but my mind could not begin to figure out what Deoxys’ mission was. At first, I was surprised that it could actually know that someone had wished for it to come, let alone to responded as fast as an airplane. I wanted to ask Deoxys so many questions, but those harsh attacks on our minds silenced my curiosity. I also didn’t understand how Deoxys knew of my role in healing the balance between the world. I wondered if a special mark on me had appeared since our battle with Rayquaza. I wasn’t sure since I rarely looked at myself and notice anything at all.

Something else puzzled me as we kept moving along. I had heard long ago that a Deoxys attacked a city in the Honne region. It was looking for another Deoxys and it would have destroyed everything to find its friend. Even the powerful Rayquaza battled with Deoxys until it found its friend. Luckily, no one was harmed and all three of the pokemon returned to their homes. However, this Deoxys looked different to me than what I had heard in the grapevines. From what I heard, Deoxys was a mixture of light orange and blue for a body. It’s eyes were pitch black and a purple line divided the face. Deoxys’ arms could stretch like dough. Its multiple forms gave it an air of mystery and the unusual green crystal held it all together. As for the Deoxys right in front of me, all of its colors gave off the image of darkness. Its body was made of dark orange and blue. Its eyes were coal black, the divided line on its face was red, and the center crystal was darker than the night. As I took note of these key differences, I wondered what I had done in agreeing to help this creature.

As we continued to walk, I saw trees that could touch the sky with their thousands of branches. The trees’ mighty green leaves soon transformed into mountains. These many mountains had their own forests on top of them. The once soft dirt road was now covered with hard stones, making it even harder for me to walk. The night sky was still covered with stars, but something within myself urged me to keep a watch on those stars. I could feel the blood on my feet as these scattered rocks stabbed me. I was worried that if I lost pace, Deoxys would harm Mew again. Finally, Mew’s deep blue eyes opened up to see me once again. She and I both knew that we were too exhausted from this whole ordeal to speak too much. So she greeted me with a small, warm smile.

“Yes!,” Deoxys shouted. “We’re finally here!”

“And where exactly is here?,” I managed to ask.

“This is the place where the one who wished for me lives. He will get what he has wanted for so long,” Deoxys replied in a confident voice.

Once again, I couldn’t understand what Deoxys meant. All I could see was a piles of rocks lined up on one another. It almost felt like a tomb to me. I didn’t see how anything living under rocks could wish for Deoxys to come.

“The one who desire my arrival is there and as the healer of the worlds, you will get him out here or else,” Deoxys ordered.

Before I could say anything, Deoxys shot another blast of negative energy in our minds. The pain was sharper than any knife. It was still different from the pain I felt in my dream, but it was somehow stronger than before. For a moment, my ears were on fire and blood was shooting out of them. Finally, after only ten seconds, the pain stopped. I could barely get up, but I had to find Mew. We felt the exact same pain at the same time. I looked around this rocky road, but she was no where to be seen. I looked up and Deoxys was holding her in its grip.

“If you find the one who called me, you get your little friend back,” Deoxys said to me.

I couldn’t say anything; the pain before had stolen my voice. I felt intense rage against Deoxys. It wasn’t trying to fulfill that wish, it was blackmailing me to do its dirty work. But I had no choice. I had to do what I it said to save Mew. I moved towards the tomb of rocks to find whatever had wished for Deoxys. My hands were already sore from Deoxys’ last attack, but I would have worked them to the bones if I had to. For a moment, I thought that Deoxys was looking for a pokemon, but I doubted that any pokemon could live under all of these rocks. After awhile, Deoxys stopped me once I found this large purple crystal.

“That’s it! Stop working right now!,” yelled Deoxys.

He threw Mew to me like a rag doll and panic took over me. Luckily, I grabbed her just as Deoxys took the crystal. She was awake but like me, she was drained of most of her energy. I noticed that Deoxys’ eyes grew red as it held the purple crystal.

“What are you trying to do with that crystal?,” I finally shouted. “What is this all about?”

Just then, Deoxys’ whole body began to glow dark red and I could sense dark energy all around it. Mew could feel this disturbing sensation as well. I could feel her fear flowing right through my own.

“Normally, Jirachi can only be awaken from his crystal slumber every one thousand years with a voice of purity. But with all of the energy I’ve drained from the both of you, I have more than enough power to force Jirachi out!,” Deoxys shouted to the heavens.

“So all this time we’ve been leading you to Jirachi’s resting spot? What are you going to do to him?,” I asked with surprised eyes.

Deoxys just stared at me with those glowing red eyes. I couldn’t get away from those glaring eyes. Finally, my whole body felt weak and I couldn’t move. Neither could Mew at the moment.

“Be quite while I’m trying to awaken Jirachi. You’ll get more than you want to know soon. Until then, smell the dirt for all I care,” Deoxys coldly said.

I couldn’t figure anything that Deoxys said. I didn’t see how anyone could wish for Deoxys, at least this one, to come and find it. I started to think that Deoxys was lying about being sent here. We had to stop whatever Deoxys was doing before it was too late.

Suddenly, the crystal started to crack open like an egg. A harsh red line dashed right through the shell to split it in half. Red light was reaching out from those marks. I had always thought of Jirachi’s awakening to be as pure as light. But this felt like a painful summoning for any soul. Finally, the purple crystal was shattered into countless pieces, leaving nothing but a white hole in its place. And from that hole, there came a creature covered in purity. The light blinded me for moment as if floated down to the ground. I already knew that it was Jirachi. I saw his yellow blanket that was wrapped around him transform into his angel wings. His head was like a yellow star with white chimes below. I also noticed a mysterious line on his stomach. Our eyes met Jirachi’s crystal clear eyes and we felt our bodies once more.

“Hey, I can float again,” Mew happily said.

Even though Jirachi had healed us, he looked confused with his new surroundings.

“No, I shouldn’t be up now. It is much too soon. How could l be up now?,” Jirachi cried out.

He started to float around like Mew to figure out this riddle. His eyes met mine once again and I could sense pleasure in them.

“You are Keiko, the healer of the worlds,” Jirachi clearly stated.

“But how could you know that? Is there some kind of mark on me?,” I asked him.

“There is no mark anywhere on you, silly. I’ve known all my life that you’re the one to heal this damaged balance. Every pokemon knows this,” Jirachi calmly said.

Before I could ask him anything else, Deoxys jumped right in front of Jirachi and gave both me and Mew a surprise no one expected.

“Jirachi, its me, you’re big brother. I’ve come back for you, just like you wished for.”

At first, Jirachi’s eyes glistened like glass on a summer day. Then something broke that glass and he almost turned to tears.

“How could you be my brother? He’s still traveling through space,” Jirachi told Deoxys.

Mew and I were too stunned for words. I had no idea that Deoxys and Jirachi were related. I didn’t think that legendary pokemon could have siblings.

“Don’t you believe your big brother?,” Deoxys asked.

“You have no idea,” Jirachi started. “You don’t know how many times I have dreamt of my brother coming back for me during my ancient rest only to be disappointed once I see that he wasn’t there. I have waited for a moment like this for a long time. There is something about you that’s different from before. This difference makes me think that something is wrong. You don’t give off the same feeling of unity as we once did.”

“The difference you feel only comes with time. Time has also weakened our bond. I can renew our unity by retelling our story of our existence. Maybe those two might learn something as well,” Deoxys stated as he acknowledged our presence.

“What does he mean Keiko? Can stories actually renew bonds between others?,” Mew asked me.

“I don’t understand what he means either. But I do think that stories hold great power within them, especially for the listeners. For now, let’s listen to this story and see if our questions can have answers,” I calmly replied.

We both became forgotten watchers as Deoxys began their story.

********

“We were born of space. We started our lives when the universe was young, but we weren’t formed in bodies. Both of us were scattered across the universe. In order for us to have our own forms, the bits of our particles had to be combined. It took centuries beyond centuries for our bodies to be complete.

“I remember feeling like I was in different places all at once. My particles came from all over the universe and landed on one another. Little by little, I started to learn how to feel with each new bit of me. After countless years, I thought that I was whole. But there was an empty hole in my chest. I could breathe empty space, but only with pain. My first true sensation was of pain. I couldn’t move my legs and my hands could only touch space around me. I thought that my life would end before it began. Soon, I crashed into a meteor and lost all feeling in my body. Breathing became even harder. Finally, I released a scream full of rage and despair for my dying. My body glowed bright red and if affected my mind. All of that time in space gave me psychic powers. I looked at the meteor and it became smaller with each second. I mentally bonded with this crystal that was hidden within this rock. It instantly went into my chest and became the source of my living. Thanks to this crystal you see before you, I live.

“As I moved through space and galaxies, I noticed that my DNA allowed me to change my forms. My body could stretch like dough for attacks and speed or harden like stone for defense. Soon, I saw that there were other space creatures, even ones that looked like me, living on one planet far away from this one. I was going to join them when this star was crying out to me. Unlike the other stars around there, this star had a soul within it. But it looked like it was dying. T he soul didn’t want to go and cried out for help. I tried to use my mental powers to free the star soul, but I couldn’t. Suddenly, I noticed my missing particles for my chest from long ago were bonding to this star. The star began to crack open like an egg and then the star vanished. In its place, there was you, Jirachi. You were a star and that star is still a part of you. I was the first one to see you. You opened your eyes to me and called me brother. You already knew me from your star sight. That sight has become your true eye on your stomach. Even though part of my DNA bonded to you, you looked nothing like me. I wanted to bring you to the planet of other space creatures, but you wanted to explore space more since you could move through it.

“We saw so many planets on our space journey. I could have left you on a planet you liked, but I couldn’t do anything like that to you. I felt bonded to you Jirachi, with our similar DNA structures. You felt this bond as well. At one time, both of us were too tired to travel into another galaxy. I felt that we needed a permanent home or our bodies would wear out back into space. In order to cross over to a new world, we merged inside of another space rock and we used our psychic powers to force the movement. As it traveled further into space, we could feel our hearts beating as one. Thus, our bond grew. As we landed near this planet, the atmosphere split the rock in half and we were separated.

“Once I realized what happened, I searched for you all around this water planet. I felt the worries and concerns that any brother would feel. I asked these other creatures, whom the native humans called pokemon, if they had seen a small creature with a star shaped head. I learned from an Absol, a white wolf with a black thorn growing out of its head, that there was such a creature living in this golden valley. Its positive energy fed the starving land and it granted the pokemon their wishes. I wanted to go and get Jirachi, but humans wanted to study me. Some even wanted to hunt me down. I could have easily attacked them all, but I didn’t want to start a war. I told the Absol to tell Jirachi that I would return for him. To save myself and the lives of those humans, I fled this planet. I promised myself that I would get Jirachi back. Now, I am here and I can take you to our new home.”

********

After hearing their story, I was amazed at their complex and unique origins. I had heard ideas from different professors that Deoxys was born from space, but I didn’t think that it could be true. Now, Mew and I were the only outsiders to actually know the truth, possibly the only ones for all of time.

“Jirachi, is all of that true?,” I asked him.

“Yes, it is all too true,” he replied.

“But what happened to you when you landed here?,” I asked.

“Well, many pokemon came by to help me when I fell from the sky. They healed me and to thank them, I granted their wishes. They were amazed at my powers and I explained to those few creatures about my life. I can grant wishes because I was born a star. Stars always use their powers to fulfill wishes. As a star, I granted so many wishes that I could develop my own body. My psychic powers also came from my life as a star. All of this power growing in the star was too much. And after my brother’s DNA formed within me, I could be free to move.”

“Then why do you have to sleep for a thousand years?,” Mew calmly asked him.

“This planet was the first one that I ever lived on. My powers got used to this environment in a matter of days. A week after I came here, I felt quite tired. Other psychic pokemon scanned my mind and they saw that the energy within me was draining my strength. If I didn’t release it, I would be destroyed. The land I lived at was beautiful, but it was dried. To thank those who helped me, I would be part of this land and restore its natural beauty with my energy. I knew that it would take a long time, but I wanted to help those living on this wonderful place. I love making others happy by giving them their wishes,” Jirachi answered.

Jirachi’s positive view on life touched my heart. He was so sweet to everyone. Then Deoxys jumped back into the picture.

“But now you can come back with me, Jirachi. On my planet, you don’t have to grant wishes or sleep for a thousand years. You can do whatever you want,” Deoxys told him.

“But I want to fulfill others’ wishes,” Jirachi quietly said.

“Would you rather stay here, where you would have to grant wishes forever, or live your own life with your brother, Deoxys?”

Just then, Jirachi’s eyes lit up with a thought. Something Deoxys had said triggered a thought or a memory.

“There is one part of the story that you did forget to say. You didn’t explain how we got our names,” Jirachi told Deoxys.

“What do you mean by that?,” I asked Jirachi.

“My brother and I chose our own names. I kept my star name of Jirachi because it always fit me. It does mean “to wish.” I could tell any nice human my name because I can talk with my mind. My brother could never do that because something in space prevented him from having this power. It would come out like a painful scream to humans, besides you Keiko. Now, could you tell me your true name?,” Jirachi asked, pointing towards Deoxys.

Deoxys just floated there, as if in a lost for words. He almost seemed afraid to answer.

“You know my true name and that should be good enough,” Deoxys firmly said.

You don’t know your name and you shouldn’t know the one humans gave you!,” Jirachi shouted.

“What are you talking about?,” Deoxys questioned him.

“My true brother didn’t know that people gave him a name like Deoxys. That was years beyond years after we landed on this planet. That name was given to a different space pokemon that looks like my brother, just like her saw on that planet in the story. This creature is not my brother. He’s an imposter,” Jirachi explained.

Once again, I was amazed at Jirachi’s bond between his sibling. For one so small, Jirachi had huge strength.

Just then, Deoxys eyes turned completely red and darkness flowed out of his body. His stretching arms took hold of Jirachi and squeezed his bones. Panic struck my ears once I heard Jirachi’s painful screams.

“I don’t care what you say! You will come with me. I have important plans with your powers!,” Deoxys yelled at Jirachi.

“Hey, let Jirachi go!,” I shouted at Deoxys.

“What on Earth could you two possibly do to stop me? You still don’t know how to control these powers of yours. Any time that you do control them is by pure luck,” Deoxys coldly said to us.

“We still won’t let you hurt him!,” I yelled.

Suddenly, my eyes glowed a bright white light, as did Mew’s eyes. I sensed our hearts beats become one drum. I could feel Mew’s whole body, mind, and soul. Her psychic powers grew to new levels and that light energy blasted off straight to Deoxys. The light damaged his dark energy and separated him from Jirachi. Deoxys landed on a nearby cliff and we soon regained our senses. We both felt out of breath, but we still had a good amount of energy. We rushed over to Jirachi and he was drained of energy as well.

“Do you think he’ll be okay?,” Mew asked me.

“I’m sure he’ll be fine once we get that Deoxys away from him,” I responded as I held Jirachi in my arms.

“Well, maybe I underestimated you two,” said Deoxys as he floated back to us. “Your unity gives you strength. But my darkness gives me ten times what light can do!”

“What are you? Who are you? What is this all about?,” I asked Deoxys.

“Well, I am truly not a Deoxys or any space creature. I have a true form, but I’ll saving that surprise for later. I want Jirachi’s power to increase my own. That way, my destructive plan is even closer to being complete. But before you shot me with your light,I was able to drain some of Jirachi’s powers. Now, I’ll move on to you two!,” screamed this being of darkness.

As this creature moved towards us, I wanted to connect with Mew like the last time, but we couldn’t. Our bodies did begin to glow light blue and felt Mew’s strength forming into a block. I held onto Jirachi and covered him with my arms. Luckily, our shield worked. The attack was deflected and landed back onto that creature.

Suddenly, Jirachi’s body began to glow bright white. I thought that he was going to teleport us away, but then the sky changed. It was still covered with stars, but now there was an empty hole in the middle of the sky. I could sense something coming from that hole. As fast as a rocket, a meteor landed on a nearby hill. A shinning light shot up to the sky. From that light, there was a figure coming out. Fear grabbed my throat as the figure became clear to me. It was a Deoxys.

There is the whole chapter for all of you. I wanted to leave it at a good stopping point and I think that worked. I hoped that everyone has enjoyed this chapter and I thank you for reading it. I will work on the next one as soon as I can. It should be easier since its summer for me. Thank you all for reading this lastest chapter and please remember to read and review when you can. Thanks again.

Yay! New chappy! *hugs mew* That was a great chapter!

Nice idea with the histories! It is always neat to see different takes on Jirachi, and this one is certainly new. So jirachi and Deoxys are brothers? Neat twist!

I suspected the Deoxys was an imposter, the description told me right away, which was good. :)

I noticed a few typos, but only a couple. I can't address them now because I am avoiding homework, (Shush! >.> <.<) but I'll come back when I have time. :)

Yet again, this story is doing great! *hugs* Keep up the good work!

Great new chapter Mew, you're description and way of writing is becoming even better. The story about Deoxys and Jirachi was very interesting and very original, I never thought that Jirachi and "Deoxys" where brothers.

Seems like that Deoxys was a fake, maybe it is the "bad guy" of your fan-fic. I spotted some little typos, but just two or three, so it's not a major problem. I'm looking to the next chapter. Keep Up the Good Work!

Meh. Typo listings, since there're so few.

“Be quite while I’m trying to awaken Jirachi."
Quiet.

I wasn’t sure since I rarely looked at myself and notice anything at all.
In that context, you might wanna cut out the bolded part. But if you really want to, noticed should be your word.

“Jirachi, its me, you’re big brother.
Two typos. It's me, your big brother.

My body glowed bright red and if affected my mind.
I dunno what you want to do, but according to my interpretation, it should be:

My body glowed bright red, as if affected by my mind.

It's your call here. >_<

T he soul didn’t want to go
Ach. The space. I can't bold the space. The soul

O_O CLIFFHANGER! You put us on a cliffhanger, Hidden Mew! -twitches in spasms- Need....read....next....CHAPTER! -twitches-

The story was good. And you made us wonder what was Deoxys' real name... >_<

JIRACHI CAN SUMMON DEOXYS!? AIEEEEE! FEAR JIRACHI!

Nah, I'm guessing that other Deoxys is Jirachi's real brother. ^_^

Nice chapter, Hidden Mew, but you're gonna kill me with the suspense. >_< Argh, the suspense!

Yes! I'm finally back with the new chapter. Sorry that it took longer than I thought to write it and type it. I've been planing my senior year of high school, looking for colleges, thinking of ways of begging for pity, in terms of money, at those colleges, getting way too many headaches from this whole voices situation from all of the negative energy, and I had writers' block for a week or two. Now, I'm all better and I did bits of the chapter for a week until I finally finished it. I really wanted to get that out before I went on. It seems like everyone enjoyed the chapter and loved the fact that it was a cliffhangger. Note to self, do a lot of cliffhangers like this. Anyway, now that I got all of that stored up energy out, on to the happy thank you's.

katiekitten: Thank you for the review. I'm glad that you thought that the histories were a good twist to the story. I was hoping that Jirachi and Deoxys being related would be something new. I didn't think that was done before, so I did it. I thought that my description of the imposter would lead people to think that it was fake. Hopefully, this chapter will clear up what this imposter is. Thanks again for your review. *apreciates the nice hugs.*

-Yoshi-: I appreciate the review. I'm glad that you feel that my writing and description is getting better. I really appreciate that. Again, I was really hoping that the story of their histories was original and I'm glad that it was. It makes it all the more interesting. I don't know if the imposter would be the bad guy of my story but you could maybe say that its bad after reading what the imposter says and does in this chapter. Thanks for your review again.

Pikachuism: Thanks for the review. I'm not surprised that there are typos since I think I typed up this chapter in one night, but at least there small and not that many. For this chapter, I don't think there are really any typos, or at least there still small. I see that cliffhanggers really get some people in suspense. Deoxys' name will be found here and as for Jirachi summoning Deoxys, the chapter will answer that so all the suspense will be at ease. Thanks again.

*umbreon*masta*1*1*: Thank you for your review. I guess that you're really surprised from all of the twist of this chapter. I was hoping that this was something that no one could suspect. The imposter is evil, but the chapter will probably make it clear on why. Thank you again.

Kutie Pie: I appreciate your review. I see that the suspense of a cliffhannger also is in you. I may do more cliffhanngers like this, but I'm not sure yet. I'm happy that you thought that Jirachi and Deoxys being brothers was sweet. It actually didn't take me long to think of that. When I first saw pictures of them as they are in Ruby and Sapphire, I thought that they were like another connection like Mew and Mewtwo for some reason. It did take me awhile to think of the histories for them. That took a couple of days of writing there. With this chapter and reading about the imposter, you may really want to kill it. Mew and Keiko did their bonded mind attack, where they're in each others' minds and that allowed Mew to blast the imposter. Summer does rock. I start school in August 15th. I'm glad that you really liked my description. *appreciates the cake and hugs* Thanks for the review.

sliferquaza: Thank you for the review. Its nice to hear that I'm talented like that. As you already know, I've read your story and its great too. I'll let you know soon that the chapter is up. Thanks again.

Eeveetrainer: Thank you for your review. I'm happy that you really enjoy reading my story. I guess that you're surprised that Jirachi and Deoxys are brothers in this story too. I'm also glad that you like the bond between Keiko and Mew. I really want to show how that bond grows in the story and I feel that it works for those who read the story. I'm glad that many people were really wondering what Deoxys' true name is. It will be in this chapter and hopefully it will be original.

Beyonder: I apprecitat your review. I'm happy to hear that you think my work is magical. It really makes me feel honored and appreciated for my work, just like all of my reviews do. I have read your story, as you know, and it is doing great and is headed in a good direction. I feel honored that you think my work could be published in Nintendo. That would be cool, especially since I want to write books one day. Thank you again for your review.

I will now bring readers the next chapter. I worked hard on it and I hope everyone who reads it enjoys it. I do give it a PG rating because of some violent or disturbing scenes, but those aren't too violent. They just add to the suspense. I hope that everyone has a fun time reading this. I now bring to the story chapter eleven for everyone's enjoyment.

Chapter 11: Clash of the Minds

Fear took hold of my body and wouldn’t let go. I thought that this Deoxys was like the imposter that was still recovering from our last attack and came to assist this creature. I could also feel Mew’s panic as she held onto my arm. I still had Jirachi in my arms and he was too weak to move. I tried my best to prepare for trouble ahead for us all. At our strength, Mew and I weren’t able to handle two enemies. My eyes became blinded as light shot out from this new figure.

“Don’t be afraid of me. I do not wish to harm you,” Deoxys said to me.

I opened my eyes to discover the truth of his words. The figure was a Deoxys, but not like the imposter. This one had the right light colors of orange and blue for a body. Its eyes were black, but not like the darkness found in that of the imposter’s eyes. The purple dividing line on its face was the right color tone. Finally, the center crystal, the one object that holds Deoxys’ form together, was pure light green. Our fear melted away as Mew and I both felt that this was the true Deoxys.

“Please give me my brother,” Deoxys kindly asked me.

My fear was gone, but my voice had not yet returned. I gave him a nod and handed him Jirachi, who was still asleep. Jirachi was larger than Mew, but he could fit in the palm of Deoxys’ hands. I could see the concern in Deoxys’ eyes grow as the river of tears started to flow down his face. He must have known that the imposter had nearly killed him. Deoxys slowly started to glow bright green while Jirachi didn’t move. I was touched by Deoxys’ overwhelming sadness for his brother as his tears started to glow like a rainbow. Soon, the light energy from Deoxys was transferred to Jirachi’s body. As this continued, Deoxys’ tears landed on the earth and new life came from them. Where there was once a rocky dirt road was now a small grass area with blooming flowers. Soon Jirachi’s small clear eyes opened and started to shine once he saw Deoxys.

“Brother, you’re here. You’re really here!,” he shouted with pure joy.

Jirachi tried to float up from Deoxys’ hands, but the pain forced him down.

“You are too drained to move. My energy revived you enough to save your life. You still need to rest,” explained Deoxys.

While Mew and I were still confused, Deoxys handed Jirachi back to me. Deoxys then turned around to where that imposter landed from our last attack.

“Excuse me Deoxys, but could you please explain to us how you got here?,” I asked.

“I made my brother come here,” Jirachi announced.

Both Mew and I froze in shock. We knew that Jirachi could teleport different beings, but not from different planets.

“I made my own wish that my brother could come here and fight the one who tried to take my strength and powers,” he explained.

“If you could have brought your brother here before, why did you just hope that he would come for thousands of years?,” Mew asked Jirachi.

“I can grant others’ wishes with ease, but its different with making my own wishes come true. Using my powers for myself drains my energy to the brink of death. If my brother hadn’t come so quickly and used his own energy to restore me, I would be gone right now.”

“Will he be okay now?,” I asked Deoxys.

“As long as he rests for awhile, he will live.”

As Mew and I were glad that Jirachi would live, a strong beam of black energy shot right at us both from where the imposter was. We both landed on some nearby rocks and I felt my back break like a twig. I tried to get up, but the pain held onto me and wouldn’t let go. It was an old injury somewhere on my back from when Rayquaza slashed it with his Dragon Claw attack. The impact from the boulders had awaken the pain from its sleep. Luckily, Mew was only drained of some energy, but she wasn’t suffering the same pain that I was going through.

“Enough with that happiness routine! I didn’t want anyone to forget that I’m still here,” yelled the imposter.

“What do you want with my brother?,” Deoxys asked it.

“Well, I wanted to use Jirachi’s powers to fuel my own plans. All of that untapped energy floating within Jirachi is wasted on granting wishes. I want to use that energy to make darkness even more powerful!”

“If all of that is so important to you, then why are you telling it to us?,” I asked still on the ground.

“When I did steal some of Jirachi’s energy, I realized that it would take too long to take it all, especially with you and your precious Mew still here. I was going to try and make both of you even weaker but now that Deoxys is here, I can take his strength instead and be one step closer in my goal!”

“Who are you?,”I asked him weakly.

“I am a being of darkness. I have no name nor a gender, but I am part of the darkness everywhere. Through my own time, I have heard a word that I personally define with what I am. You can just call me Akuma. I can be in any shape or form. I have split from my empty form in order to spread my plan and increase my own power. I can be hiding in a dark corner or I can be devouring your soul in your own nightmare!”

“What is your plan exactly?,” I asked.

“You might find out later, if you’re still alive. Right now, my sight is on Deoxys,” Akuma shouted as it began to launch an attack.

As Akuma formed its attack, Deoxys began to change shape. His arms and legs looked like brick walls, his neck and plates around his head disappeared so that his body could be an oval shaped fence, and a rainbow orb formed around his new body. Once the dark beam was launched, the orb acted like a steel plate and the attack bounced right off. Afterwards, Deoxys changed his form again. This time, the plates around his head returned, but they looked sharper. His arms were like blue and orange strings. His legs looked stronger and better able to charge an attack. From those string arms, Deoxys formed his own attack with light energy. It soon became an orb and it landed right on Akuma.

“You are not taking my strength, or anyone else’s, for your plans. I will fight you to the finish in this battle!,” shouted Deoxys.

“Works for me. Once I defeat you, I’ll not only have your energy, but I’ll learn your true name. That way, I can control your life forever,” Akuma announced.

Just before the battle truly began, Akuma slowly became completely black. It still kept the Deoxys form, but now it looked like it could fall into the shadows.

“One last thing before we fight...,” stated Akuma.

Suddenly, Akuma shot out a purple ray that landed right on Deoxys. I could hear his brief, yet powerful, screams of pure pain ringing in my ears. The result of the screaming left Deoxys out of breath.

“I know that you can change shape for attack, defense, and speed. My dart of energy has allowed your body to take only one of those forms for our battle. To make it even, my own energy bounces back to me so I have to take that form as well,” explained Akuma.

“That still isn’t fair!,” I yelled.

“Shut up, you!,” it shouted as it blasted a small dose of energy at me. The pain, however, was large

“I accept this condition. Lets just fight.”

Deoxys quickly transformed his body for the battle. His head bow had three sharp plates, his body had more curves than before, his arms became blue and orange strings once more, and his legs were mostly the same, except for his pointed knees. As Deoxys finished his transformation, I noticed that his light green crystal wen deeper into his body.

“So you have chosen your attack form. Very well,” Akuma replied.

Just as quickly as Deoxys, Akuma changed into Deoxys’ exact form. The only difference was that it was completely black. With the surroundings being just as black as night, it was hard to find this being of darkness.

As the battle began, Deoxys’ string arms came together to gather nearby energy for an attack. The energy was bright and as colorful as a rainbow. It was a perfect sphere that was heading straight for Akuma. But at the last moment, it launched the same attack, except its attack of was of total darkness. The orbs collided and left a puff of smoke in their wake. With the element of surprise in their minds, both of them dashed in the sky straight ahead for hand-to-hand combat. Both Deoxys and Akuma extended their arms to hold the other from another attack. All of their arms squeezed each other so hard that I heard some of their bones crack like stones. I saw the pain erupting in their eyes. Yet, they continued this display of strength for what felt like hours. Finally, they both started to form a psychic blast of energy. Deoxys eyes started to glow bright white while Akuma’s eyes were dark red. I noticed that both of their crystals were the cannons for their next attack. I was worried that the blast from those attack at such a close range would be too much for Deoxys’ body to handle. Before my voice was heard, their attacks went off and the vibrations scattered across the land. I was still on the ground, unable to move at all, and it felt like an earthquake to me. I was still holding Jirachi and Mew had quickly floated down to hide under my arm with Jirachi. We closed our eyes out of fear, but we couldn’t close our ears. I heard the earth opening all around us, the falling of mighty trees, and the grass falling apart. My skin felt rough from all of the rocks around us. My mind was lava hot feeling all of my stress and Mew’s panic at the same time. Suddenly, we could hear nothing but a painful yell as loud as a sonic boom. Holding in our fear, Mew and I finally opened our eyes to see how the land had changed.

Our eyes were struck with terror as we saw the once beautiful, lush green land that Jirachi had helped to create for thousands of years turned into nothing but a fire pit. Everywhere I looked, there was a fire. All of the wonderful plant life in the area were either on fire or had already touched the death fire brings to life. Even some of the large rocks had melted from the overwhelming heat of the flames. All of the wonderful mountains covered with trees were now like a giant campfire. Some of the land had come apart from the shock waves of the attacks and new cliffs were made. The land was completely destroyed, except for this one small spot of land. In a flash, I remembered that was where Deoxys had restored Jirachi’s life force energy. The plants and rocks that were touched by Deoxys’ tears were untouched by the fires. Just before I could try to figure this out, Mew started to hold onto my long brown hair.

“Keiko, I’m scared. I don’t see Deoxys anywhere,” Mew whispered in my ear.

“Its okay, Mew. We’re going to get up and look for him,” I replied to her.

I attempted to get up, but the pain was too great. My back felt like it was broken in several places. I couldn’t get up. Luckily, I was able to crawl on this ground, despite the sharp rocks around us. I was about to shout for Deoxys when a strong gust of wind blew out part of a large fire. What I saw there stabbed my sight with pure freight.

I saw Deoxys laying motionless on a pile of rocks that were melting from the fires. He was back in his normal form, but something was horribly wrong. There were streams of blood all over his body. The blast from the two attacks was too dangerous for his body to handle. I wanted to see if he was awake, but then I saw above that Akuma was still there. This time, its form was different. Akuma’s head had come together with his body to give it the appearance of a dome. Its legs and arms were like plates. There wasn’t a mark anywhere on Akuma. A thought came to me as I saw it change back to its normal imposter Deoxys form.

“Wait a minute! You said that both you and Deoxys would be in the same form for the whole battle. You changed right before the blast could hit you, didn’t you? You lied!,” I shouted at it.

“I wouldn’t shout if I were you down there. But yes, I lied about how my energy would prevent me from changing forms. I only said that so I could surprise Deoxys with a new plan of attack,” Akuma said to me.

“I changed into a defense form so that Deoxys could feel both blasts and I wouldn’t feel a thing. That way, I could kill him easily and take what I need from him!”

“But I thought that Deoxys has the power to regenerate some body parts, even its whole body if needed. Why would the attacks do all this damage?,” I wondered out loud.

“It is true that Deoxys can regenerate himself. But that requires this pure light green crystal right here!,” Akuma yelled out.

“This is the source of Deoxys’ life energy, as well as his strength. With this power added to my own, my plan can go foreword despite my earlier setback.”

“What do you mean by that?,” Mew nervously asked Akuma.

“Don’t you two get it yet? I am part of every darkness everywhere. I am in your fears and I can enter your nightmares. Who do you think put that purple orb in the space satellite for Rayquaza? It was me!”

“You were the thing responsible for Rayquaza to lose control and destroy Mossdeep City?,” I asked it.

“Yes! Now you get it. I wanted to get rid of both of you before you could even see me. Unfortuately, I have to take care of this mess myself. I am part of the darkness in everyone. I’m in the minds of humans and pokemon alike. For some reason, I’m not found in either one of you, but that will change. Nothing can escaper my my wrath! You two are the only ones to even think of stopping me from my plans and you will both pay for that!”

As Mew and I panicked over what this insane creature was saying, I heard a soft, weak whisper from nearby.

“Keiko, Mew, put Jirachi on that clear spot. It might... be the only way... to help us stop this thing,” called out Deoxys.

“Oh no you don’t. I’m surprised that you have the strength to talk, Deoxys. Maybe if I could crack this crystal, you’ll shut up. I won’t destroy it since the power it has would be lost, but I’ll make sure that this fire will take your body!,” Akuma screamed.

Akuma’s hands started to glow dark red around Deoxys’ crystal. Deoxys started to scream and yell from the pain and we both wanted to help. But every time we tried to, he just pointed to the untouched spot.

“Mew, the only chance we have to save Deoxys is with Jirachi’s help. I can’t get there, but you can. Please lay Jirachi on the spot of pure land there. It may help him.”

“But what about you?,” she asked with concern in her voice.

“Don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine. Just do this for me and Deoxys, please,” I replied.

With that, Mew gave me a small nod in agreement. Her small hands grabbed Jirachi from my arms and slowly dragged him into the clearing. I held my breath as Mew moved along. If Akuma caught one sight of her, then both of them would be done for. Mew was able to place Jirachi right in the middle of the clearing. Soon, all of the plants and rocks started to disappear into white light. All of that light came together to form a perfect circle. The circle went right into Jirachi’s body. His body began to glow and his eyes were starting to open.

“What? How dare you try to interfere with my plans!,” Akuma yelled out.

Suddenly, Akuma’s arms transformed into a cannon. It gathered its dark energy within that arm cannon to attack me. I knew that I couldn’t crawl away fast enough and my arms were too sore to do so anyway. As I waited helplessly for this attack, Mew floated right in front of me. She was facing the attack all by herself.

“No, Mew! Don’t do this for me. Run! Save yourself!,” I shouted to her, but she didn’t move at all.

Just as Akuma’s attack was about to hit us both, our eyes became nothing but glowing white light. I could feel everything that Mew felt and she could feel everything I felt. We sensed each others’ heartbeats becoming one. I lost the sensation of pain in my body. I was finally able to get up and move. We both saw the beam coming right at us, but this mental connection we had allowed us to create a shield with our minds. It was similar to what Deoxys had used before this battle had begun. Our shield was able to send Akuma’s attack right back at it. We finally came out of that state of mind when we heard Akuma’s own screams.

“Keiko! You’re not hurt anymore!,” Mew shouted with joy as she put herself around my neck.

I put my arms around her and told her that it was okay. I noticed that she was actually crying for me. I was touched by her open trust and concern for me. But then we saw what the attack had done to Akuma and fear took hold of us once more.

Akuma had returned to its imposter Deoxys form but this time, his arm was torn off from the socket. It was lying on the ground, covered in blood, as the fires were about to take it away. However, Akuma’s blood wasn’t red; its blood was purple and it was flowing down Akuma’s entire body. There was a purple pond right where its arm was. I could only imagine how painful that was, even for one born of darkness.

“You two did this to me. You and your bond. You don’t even know what you really have to do. And I’ll make sure you never do!,” Akuma yelled as it darted right towards us.

Before Akuma could reach us, our bodies became white light and we vanished from sight. We couldn’t feel anything but each other. In a second, we were away from Akuma in a spot where there was less of a fire. Before we could figure out how we got there, Jirachi floated right next to Mew.

“Jirachi, you’re awake now. Do you feel better?,” I asked him.

“Yes, I do Keiko. I appreciate you two saving me, but we have to help my brother now,” he said while holding Deoxys’s light green crystal.

“How were you able to get that away from Akuma?,” Mew asked Jirachi.

“After you placed me where my brother had first healed me, his tears that gave life to nature gave it back to me. When I woke up, the spot was void of life. I saw my brother covered in his own blood but before I went to him, I saw Akuma holding his crystal. Without it, he will die. I knew that I couldn’t just take it from Akuma, so I waited behind my brother for my chance to strike. Luckily, you both were able to connect in such a way that you bounced Akuma’s attack right back. As the beam cut through its arm, Akuma’s screams were all too painful to hear, but its other arm dropped my brother’s crystal. I quickly teleported the crystal to me before Akuma noticed anything. Akuma’s painful rage must have made it forget about the crystal. I knew that it was coming right towards you two so I teleported both of you to this safer area,” Jirachi explained.

Just as Jirachi finished his explanation, Akuma jumped out of the flames to give us the scare of our lives. I saw the fire of rage and hatred in its eyes. Akuma wanted to finish us all at once.

“Now, there is nothing you two can do to stop me. I am the living form of all darkness. Do you think your precious bond of light can do anything against me? You will feel my power now!,” yelled Akuma.

Mew and I held onto each other out of fear and hope that our bond would click again. We focused our minds together, hoping that we could call upon this power on our own, instead of it always coming to us. Suddenly, our eyes went white again but this time, a flash of white light came out of our bodies. It stopped Akuma right before it could touch us. Before we knew it, all of three of us were surrounded by a dome of light. It was similar from when we helped Rayquaza, but Mew and I felt the strain of calling out this power in a time of crisis. We both felt tried and out of breath. We knew that we wouldn’t be able to do something like that in this battle again.

“Do you think this circle can contain my strength? You both are weak while I am strong. I know from watching your fight with Rayquaza that white lighting will try to hit mme at any moment. I can easily move away from any of them,” stated Akuma.

After Akuma finished, Mew and I felt a strong presence within this dome of light. It felt like the same presence we felt before the lighting struck Rayquaza. This time, beams of powerful light shot Akuma from all different angles. They traveled at the speed of light so Akuma didn’t have a chance to move at all. As the beam continued to hit, this force inside us grew stronger. Soon, the light grabbed Akuma and squeezed it just as Akuma squeezed Deoxys before. I could hear its pain in screams once again.

“Don’t think that you’ve won anything!,” it started. “I may not have been able to get Deoxys or Jirachi, but there are other pokemon I’m looking for to succeed in my plans. Once I have enough energy and power, I will fulfill my destiny by destroying the light. I will be back!”

And with that, Akuma vanished back into darkness and our dome of light disappeared. As our circle became smaller and smaller, the shock waves from the light were able to blow out the fires. Just as we returned to the outside world, we saw Jirachi sitting next to his dying brother.

********

“I can’t put the crystal back in his chest. I don’t know what to do,” Jirachi said with tears in his eyes.

“Maybe all three of us could put it back in,” Mew suggested.

“It isn’t a matter of strength. The crystal just won’t get in his chest. Every time I get nearly in there, the crystal just drops out. I don’t know what to do now.”

Jirachi already thought that it was too late and broke down crying. As Mew and I tried to comfort him, we started to glow again. Unlike the last times, Mew and I felt that presence within us from when we were in that circle. It felt amazingly strong. As we held Deoxys’ crystal, our light transferred into it. Suddenly, after enough light was in it, the crystal floated back into Deoxys. We felt tried still, but we hoped that Deoxys would still live. Jirachi’s diamond eyes lit up as he saw Deoxys’ black eyes open wide.

“Brother! You’re alive. I thought that I lost you again,” Jirachi said while crying.

“Its alright, my brother. I am here,” he said while holding Jirachi in his arm.

Slowly, Deoxys got up to find out what had happened. While Jirachi explained to him what had happened, I saw that the beautiful valley was now like a desert. There seemed to be no other signs of life here in this area. All of the plants and trees had died from the fire and I didn’t know what had happened to all of the pokemon living here. It would take a long time for this land to be restored.

“Thank you, Keiko and Mew. You not only saved me but more importantly, you saved my brother’s life. He means so much to me,” Deoxys said to us.

“We’re glad that we could help, but how do you know my name?,” I asked him.

“All pokemon know you’re name, whether they were born in the land, in the waters, or even in the stars,” Deoxys explained.

“I guess that makes sense, but what will you do now?”

Deoxys then turned to Jirachi with a hopeful look in his eyes.

“My brother Jirachi, do you think you could come back to the world I found. We could stay there and live in peace.”

“I would like that my brother, but I have a home on this world. I love to help the land and those who live here. They will need my help really soon. I need to stay,” replied Jirachi.

“What did happen to all of the pokemon living here?,” Mew asked him.

“Before I fell asleep, I was able to mentally send a message to a Absol to alert all of the pokemon to get of the area. They are all fine and will return within a couple of days. I’ve always had a close relationship to Absol since I got to this world. They were the ones who helped me and the ones I first revealed my true name to. I have been told that Absol are the pokemon that guard the entrance to where I’m resting so that no one could take me away. The only reason that one wasn’t protecting me this time was because they didn’t know exactly where I was since I was taken away from this place not too long ago,” Jirachi answered.

“Well then, I will be like the Absol and protect you here,” announced Deoxys.

“Yes. My body can regenerate at will so I wouldn’t have to worry about getting injured. I can also rest like you for a few years in my crystal and come out when I need to. I can also send mental messages to those I know on that other world. But before all of that, I need to be truly bonded to this planet first.”

Deoxys turned his attention towards the skies. His crystal started to glow like a rainbow. From that glow, beautiful streams of colors came out. They lit up the dark skies with their beautiful flow of colors.

“When we named ourselves, it was based on what is inside of us. My brother named himself Jirachi because of the wishing power he has. I have been born with the dances of light in my soul,” Deoxys called out.

He soon landed back on the ground in his normal form. He looked as if he was surrendering something of great power to the earth.

“My true name is Kyohaku,” he said out loud.

After he said his true name out loud, green energy came from his body and spread across the land.

“Kyohaku, you’re really staying with me?,” Jirachi asked.

“Yes.”

Happiness landed right on Jirachi’s face as he jumped on Kyohaku.

“Excuse me, Deoxys, I mean Kyohaku. Why did you need to hide your name?,” I asked him.

“One’s true name has a lot of power in it. If the wrong creatures know you’re true name, they can use it against you and take control of your soul. Revealing this identity on the ground like this bonds one to the land of this planet,” explained Kyohaku.

“If knowing someone’s true name is dangerous, then why do all pokemon know my true name, Kyohaku?”

“I can’t answer that for you. Only the ones in charge of you and Mew in the hidden world can help you there. They are the ones with the keys to your answers,” he replied.

“That does make sense. Now that’s your here, what will you do?,” I asked Kyohaku.

“Even though I cannot restore the land, I can protect the one who does. I will be helping the Absol to guard you while you rest. As you rest, I can speak to you through our minds. We won’t have to be separated again,” Kyohaku told Jirachi.

Jirachi soon jumped onto me and Mew with complete bliss on his face.

“Thank you both so much. Kyohaku can be together again. Right now, I feel very sleepy. I think I need to go back to sleep now. I hope that we can meet again,” Jirachi told us.

He faced his brother just before the transformation started. Jirachi wrapped himself within his yellow wings and started to glow yellow. Soon, his whole body was nothing but light and that light then hardened. The hardened light became the purple crystal that Jirachi had slept in for thousands of years.

“Thank you both so much,” Kyohaku said to us before he left to put his brother back in his resting place.

After they left, another green portal opened right in front of us.

“I guess that we should go back, Mew,” I said to her.

Mew agreed with me and we headed towards the portal. Mentally, we both hoped for some answers for the different questions floating around our heads.

That was the lastest chapter. I hope that everyone has enjoyed it. Like I said, I worked really hard on this chapter. My hands are sorn from all of the typing and writing, but I will get writing on the next chapter as soon as possible. I already have a few ideas in my head. Again, I hope that everyone liked reading the chapter. Please remember to review and rate when you can. Thank you all again for reading.

>_< I'm too late.

;025; I demand to know who's pulling the strings here.

-prods- That's for her to know and us to frind out. >_< The ultimate light being? Maybe.

This chapter explains a lot. We have our archenemy, we have a mysterious prod at why Keiko and Mew are even together (and also one step closer to finding out about her past), and we have a happy ending. Sort of. ^_^

A few small errors which I shan't bother to list, but somehow they were kind of blatent. I'm not sure how that works, but it does.

;025; You need to add that line to your policy statements, dammit. You're using it too much.

Recently.

Without further ado, I shall disappear back into hermitism. Hum dee dum...

;025; Pika out.
Ah, and Kyomaru is a good name! You are a genius, Midden Mew. ^^

Hello there everyone. I appreciate all of your kind words and reviews. I'm sorry that I haven't been able to update with the next chapter. I was hoping to add it in before I went back to school last month, but I was busy with preparing for my senior year of high school. Unfortunately, I still don't have the chapter ready and I'm sorry about that. I have a really good idea for it in my head, but I've been busy with school and getting ready to apply to different colleges that I haven't had time to write it down. I also have to take the SAT's next month so I'll have to prepare for that. In other words, I don't know when I can update this story with the next chapter. But I will update as soon as I humanly can. If I'm lucky, and I mean really lucky, I could start writing it this weekend, but I'm still not sure. I will give detailed thank you's when I post the chapter. Thank you all so much again.

Hello to everyone again. I'm so sorry about the lack of updates for my story. I've just been so busy with preparing my college applications and trying to get through my classes now that I haven't had time to write the chapter. I just wanted to let anyone who would still like to read my story just know that I am not stoping it, but its just delayed for awhile. It should be easier to write the chapters and post them once I'm on Thanksgiving break, but I'm hopeful that I can get it started before then. I thank all of you for reading and providing comments for my story since it helps me feel that the work is appreciated. I should have a chapter up some time this month, hopefully. Thank you all again and I'm sorry about the lack of updates again. My next chapter will be updated as soon as possible.

I am alive. I want this story to live as well.

I am so sorry about the complete lack of updates I have given this story for the past few months. I've been so busy with applying to different colleges, keeping my grades up as high as possible, and now deciding on which college I'll attend in the fall. I'm almost done with my spring break, but I wanted to post the newest chapter before I went back to school. It feels so good doing this again. I hope that the chapter is worth the wait. I wanted to keep it simple so that those who dont' remember the storyline, which is perfectly fine, wouldn't get confused. Anyway, please rate and review whenever you can. Thank you all again and here is the newest chapter at long last.

Chapter 12: The Unfolding Truth

As Mew and I traveled back to our home, countless questions puzzled my mind. What exactly is this Akuma creature? What does it want from us and how does it know more about Mew and I and what we’re suppose to do? Latios and Latias could only answer all of these questions. However, something inside of me wondered why they always seem to give us smaller and smaller details every time we approached them with questions.

In a flash of green light, we were back in the forest area. Mighty green tree covered the land and nearly touched the sky. The grass was as lush and green as before we left. Even though everything appeared to be the same, I felt that something was different. I felt a strength surge through my soul and it release itself through the air of my mouth. I looked towards Mew, who was on my right shoulder, and her clear blue eyes told me that she felt the same strength as I did. As we were about to look for Latios and Latias, a gentle wind brushed through my face and walked through my long brow hair. Then, I heard a voice as soft as the floating clouds.

“They are coming,”the voice called.

My heart jumped into my throat as I heard this gentle call. I looked all around us, but I could not see a single being near us. The voice felt so strong to hear, and yet, soothing to hear. The prediction the voice made soon came true as the blue dragon, known as Latios, and the red dragon, known as Latias, appeared before Mew and I. However, they didn’t come out in their physical forms. They both remained within their ghost forms. We could see them both, but we could see the green leaves of the giant trees right through them.

“You both have done well,” Latias said, finally breaking the silence.

Mew and I nodded our heads in appreciation. Then a question finally found my voice, in order to be free.

“What do you two know about a creature called Akuma?” I asked honestly.

Both Latios and Latias kept silent for a time too long to measure. Their eyes told me how different their emotions were at the time. Latios’s red eyes seemed to be on fire; while Latias’s clear yellow eyes were about to break apart into tears.

“Akuma is a creature of impure darkness,” Latios stated. “It has been a part of this world since the balance was first disturbed. As you already know, Akuma has terribly strong powers. You’ve only seen its powers to transform into other Pokemon. However, that power takes too much of its strength, so Akuma very rarely transforms like it did with Deoxys.”

“So what does Akuma usually do?” I asked Latios.

“Akuma usually plans how to corrupt Pokemon from afar. It already spoke of how it caused Rayquaza to become enraged by bringing those two orbs together for that satellite. Akuma can attack any Pokemon it wants to, but its target has always been those Pokemon found in legends.”

“So, will Akuma try to harm me?” Mew asked in a nervous voice.

”You are safe from Akuma’s powers because your soul is bonded with the soul of Keiko. I’m sure that you’ve felt your powers growing during and after you last battle. The deeper your bond is, the stronger your powers will be. Those powers are what keeps Akuma unable to do any harm to you, Mew,” Latias answered.

“Be that as it may,” Latios roared back in, “if your powers become too weak, then Akuma could harm you with its powers.”

Out of fear, I took Mew into my arms. I could feel our heart beats becoming one. As she held onto me, I felt her life force entangled with my own. Latias was right. Our bond has become much stronger since our last battle. I wondered if that was the voice that I heard before.

Just as I was about to ask about that voice, Latios said, “We have to leave.”

“But why?” Mew and I yelled in union.

“We cannot help you right now. Possibly never again,” Latios replied.

“That doesn’t make sense. You both have the answers. Why can’t you let Keiko and I know about them?” Mew screamed.

“You must find the answers for your questions on your own. We can’t just tell you them. But we can tell you this much. The return of Akuma has weakened our strength. For ages, Latios and I held up the barrier that made it impossible for Akuma to break through to this world. With Akuma getting more power now, we both have to use up more of our energy to keep it away,” Latias explained.

“But how did Akuma get stronger?” I wondered.

“When you two came here, Akuma strength started to grow and it continues to increase,” Latios answered.

And with that, both dragons started to disappear. They would be back to their world and safe from any dangers.

“Please wait!” I yelled. “We both still have so many questions.”

“Stay strong you two,” Latias called out with a fading voice. “Stay strong.”

Within a blink of an eye, they were gone.

All of those questions with no answers in sight were rolling through my head. My heart wanted to yell out these questions, in the hopes that someone would give them answers. But I knew that my questions would just be floating in the wind. Then, I noticed that Mew was falling asleep in my arms. We had just gotten back from the battle with Akuma and we didn’t have a chance for a rest.

“Come on, Mew. Let’s go find a quite place to rest for awhile.”

Mew looked up to me with a happy glow in her eyes. Even though she was still a young Mew, she was about the height of a regular Mew. Her tail was still so long that it could rap around my head.

Once I found a cool shade of grass to lie on, we both fell into a soothing, deep sleep. In the mist of all of my pondering thoughts, I had forgotten how tired I was. I hoped that we could both get some rest.

Just as I went to sleep, I felt a stab in my heart. The pain was as sharp as a knife and it came and went in a flash. In its place the pain brought a terrible heart within me. It was like a fire tornado was circling inside of me. Finally, a waterfall of peace rushed through me, cooling off the fire in the process. However, instead of ending the pain, the water brought hot, stinging steam to my eyes. The steam was so painful that tears flowed down my checks like a river.

Just as I though that the pain wouldn’t end, I woke up to realize that it was all a dream. Mew was still asleep right next to me, unaware of what happened to me. My fingers landed on my checks and I noticed that I had cried in my sleep. As I dried my eyes by rubbing them with my hands, a large green circle appeared before us. I knew that Mew and I would have to leave and possibly fight again.

“Mew, wake up. We need to go,” I told her as I gently nudged her.

When Mew woke up, she looked into my blue eyes and knew what we’d have to do. Mew jumped into my arms for protection as we walked into the green portal, where our next challenge awaited for us.

Well, that's the lastest chapter. I hope that it was worth the wait. Again, I'm so sorry for the lack of updates. I hope that I won't get in trouble for bumping this thread. Anyway, please rate and review whenever you can. I most likely won't add the next chapter until after I finish high school, which will be in about a month. Thanks again for reading.

Oh yay! Another chapter! XD Honestly, you churn out chapters faster than me...X_X

Anyway, this chapter is pretty much like an aftermath kind of chapter (Have I said that before? O_O), so there isn't much to comment on, but it does REALLY perk our interest as to what they will encounter next...Could it be another massive battle of death and lots of destruction!?

Hopefully Keiko and Mew obtain a non-legendary ally that follows them around...^_^

Pika out.

EDIT: Posting new chapter after eons is not considered bumping. You're perfectly within the rules.

YAY!!! *jumps with joy* A new chapter! Yes, it was worth the wait, but I did spot a couple of slight errors:

Mighty green tree covered the land and nearly touched the sky.
Did you mean to put a "The" in the beginning of the sentance?

As we were about to look for Latios and Latias, a gentle wind brushed through my face and walked through my long brow hair.
"brown"?

That is all
