stop suggesting toxic skarm as it clearly sucks.

spikes/rest/drill peck/roar

What does HP flying mean? and where do you get the Scope Lens and Bright Powder and all the Leftovers?

5th December 2005, 8:23 PM
HP Flying=Hidden Power Flying. Too hard to get in game as the move depends on IV's (like genes of a pokemon that determine its strength).

Grandmaster Chao
5th December 2005, 8:28 PM
Perhaps get some Rare pokemon on the team eg Mewtwo or Rayquaza. But Apart from that I'd say it's a pretty decent party.

Never.

(sorry about this, it waste posts.)

HP flying is hidden power flying, go to the game mechanics.

I still don't get why everyone always recommends Leftovers for just about EVERY SINGLE Pokemon in the team. That's a crappy way to go anyways, plus it's cheap. Like Chaos952, you posted every hold item change to Leftovers...what's the point!?

Anyways...yeah, I'd ditch the Mightyena, not really good enough for a strong team.

What do you guys suggest for me to replace Mightyena with?

Umbreon if you want a tank, Absol for a fast killer...both better than Mightyena in my opinion.

Eontios
5th December 2005, 9:42 PM
Both Absol and Umbreon are physical attackers, though... they have lower Sp. Atk than mightyena, so dark type moves, even with STAB (the 1.5 boost for same type as the pokemon,) Dark typed moves are pretty useless. Not to mention the best one they can learn is Faint Attack (60 damage)

These are the pokemon I'd reccommend to you:

Metagross
Latios/Latias
Walrein
Lapras
Snorlax
Tyranitar
Heracross

BlueBeauty

Ok, i have Mightyena out. So now...

Absol Lv. 27
Naive
Item:-----
Swords Dance
Razor Wind
Quick Attack
Blizzard[temporary till i can afford Ice Beam]

EDIT: I do have the pokes you suggested Eontios but half and half are used for contest and battle frontier.

Never.

You suggested hax items, and even worse Double Team, for crying out loud. You do not deserve to post here.

Umbreon is nowhere close to being a physical attacker; it's a tank.

LOL. You call Leftovers cheap? Leftovers is the best item in the game. You'll constantly be regaining health.

SPN
5th December 2005, 11:00 PM
Well, not cheap, and I know Leftovers is the best item, but I just kind of find it pointless to recommend a team full of Leftovers. That doesn't really help anyone.

And what does everyone have against Double Team!? I mean, come on, it's not that bad. lol

aipomkong
5th December 2005, 11:03 PM
no it is that bad, it relys 100% on luck and 0% on skill

while luck is a part of the game (well any game) it should in no way be encouraged in the way double team does.

a complete newbie to pokemon could double team 6 times and beat someone who is a vet' which is completly stupid as without double team, the vet' would easily outskill the newbie.

also

you could double team once and never be hit, or double team 6 times and be hit every time, where is the skill involved there?

oh and yeah leftovers is pretty pointless in-game, but it is invaluable in competitive battling

1) drill peck + whirl wind is an illegal combo
2) toxic skarm fails
3) yes it can learn rock slide

Hax items saved my life in the frontier, and you call them useless? And the Double Team and bright powder is a combo, better than to waste a move slot. Attacks are useless if they can't hit. Ever heard of a blissey moveset? Surprising since your avatar used to be blissey...

A Blissey moveset is:
Aromatheropy
Softboiled
Thunder Wave/Ice Beam
Seismic Toss

I don't see Double Team anywhere on there...:/

Zootster, read the second post in this thread (what he suggested for Gardevoir).

Double Team is a waste of a moveslot. Eontios, you know nothing about battling. You should download and play Netbattle and learn the ways of battling. You will eventually find out... the hard way.

I posted the Billisey moveset cause he was saying that a good Blissey has DT:

What I posted didn't really have anything to do with the rest of this thread, just that specific post ;)

I'd also suggest an impish or careful natured swampert, I'd doubt that a naughty natured would get anywhere with special attackers, especially grass types.

Well, chaos 952 if you're so smart...let's see how well you fair against my team. And I still haven't found out "the hard way".

By the way, Zootster, my idea of a blissey moveset differs from yours:

Toxic
Softboiled
Double Team
Thunder Wave/ Seismic Toss

and I see double team on that. :)

ROFL at your Blissey. Taunt bait. Gengar laughs at it too.

I'll just take advantage by statusing your whole team.

Edit: Saw your other thread. I don't fight uber teams unless I am using an uber team myself.

lets just leave it at Eontios should download netbattle, start battling with his hax ****, and see how many timesx he gets 6-0'd in 5 minutes worth of battling

(i put a bet on 10)
