And no, I'm not re-breeding for a different nature for Houndoom... this Houndoom is a sentimental favorite.

Main problem I'm noticing is the Fighting weakness. What can I do to help counter that? Milotic and Tyranitar are standbys; I'm willing to forego Houndoom, but still need to counter the Grass weakness, and without Houndoom I would be open to Ghosts (not so much Psychics because of Tyranitar's immunity.) Other issue is lack of direct counter for Water types. Thought about an element-punching Electabuzz or Ampharos. Opinions?

if you want an elemental puncher... get an alakazam....

milotic will kill grass types as long as it doesnt use solarbeam or leaf blade (i think)

there are few enough ghosts... and tyranitar and milotic can wall shadow balls so dont worry about ghosts...

if you are still afraid of grass types give tyranitar flamethrower... but i wouldnt recommend it

one psychic with alakazam and fighting weak is gone

Is say HP: Electric > Toxic for type coverage, or ditch it completely for

The other thing i was thinking was maybe to sideline Houndoom for:

DRAGONITE @ Leftovers (Lonely)
Dragon Dance
Aerial Ace/HP Flying
Dragon Claw/Return
Thunderbolt

which gives me coverage over both Water and Fighting. Liability here is that any Water types that get called in will probably carry Ice Beam in which case adios Dragonite. Also thought about

HP Grass/Flamethrower

which kills Grass types- my primary worry- right off the bat.

The suggestion of Gardevoir is a good one; I've worked with Gardevoir before. My worry with her is that she needs setup time for Calm Mind and she's a bit on the fragile side- less so than Alakazam, granted. I'd be thinking Synchronize over Trace.
