Celestial Dawn - Mirage, 6th Edition. Rare
1WW: Enchantment
All nonland cards you own that are not in play are white. All nonland permanents you control are white. All lands you control are plains. All colored mana symbols in all costs on all of these cards and permanents are W.

# Oct 4, 2004 - The effect to turn all your non-land cards (including artifacts) white is the effect of a static ability. Thus, a color change on a permanent prior to Celestial Dawn entering play will be overridden by Celestial Dawn's effect.
# Oct 4, 2004 - A color change effect which enters play after Celestial Dawn can override the color changing effect of Celestial Dawn.
# Oct 4, 2004 - Does not change the type of lands which are not in play. Lands out of play are what they say they are.
# Oct 4, 2004 - Will not add or remove Snow-Covered nature from a land.
# Oct 4, 2004 - You may use a different color mana than the color required for spells and abilities that require a specific color. If you do, and the spell or ability checks the actual color of the mana, it can tell the difference.
# Oct 4, 2004 - If you use a text-changing effect to change the word "plains" to a different land type, your lands are all of that new land type, but they still produce white mana.
# Oct 4, 2004 - If you pay white mana to play an ability that can only be paid for by spending another color of mana, then any limitations on playing the ability (such as the number of times it can be played each turn) still apply as if you spent the proper color.
# Oct 4, 2004 - Any "comes into play" effects of playing a land will not happen since the lands will enter play as Plains.
# Oct 4, 2004 - If a permanent spell is played while Celestial Dawn is in play, then Celestial Dawn leaves play, the permanent's color reverts to the colors in its mana cost.
# Oct 4, 2004 - It no longer changes mana symbols on cards.

Seems like a cool card to play around. Maybe another deck that has cards that dont follow the certain color. Reanimation + cards that aren't black. A deck around this + cards that aren't white?

I guess this card could work with cards that effect single colored cards like Surge of Zeal.

The Duck's Rating: 2/5

I guess this would be useful in a deck using many colours, so that you would not have to worry about mana screw. 2/5
