I have to get this off my chest...this is the best lineup Ash has ever had. It really is. I know there's that annoying lack of a fire type, but his current team is really the most diverse and well-assembled team the writers have ever thrown together. Now that the writers have seem to gotten over their fear of evolution, is it still to much to ask that they give Corphish a little help?

As for the episode, it's one of the best there's been in a while. It provides an alternate version of evolution, a less-glorified one, that works terrifically as serious character development for Grovyle. Bravo. Let's hope this keeps up.

    Fast Ball.

By this point, they've given up on Brock's Heavy Ball.

Sorry for going further off-topic, but why the hell did Takeshi even get that thing in the first place? Far as I recall, Satoshi protected that tree from Rocket Dan, and then the Brown Apricorn fell into his hands with Chie commenting that it's the tree's way of saying thanks (the Blue Apricorns, meanwhile, Satoshi and Kasumi simply picked). It was like "there's three balls, there's three people in the group, let's evenly distribute them", not taking into account who it was that collected them in the first place before they were processed into balls.

Yup, classes again. I'm gonna be at this for a while.

    ANYWAYS, back on topic...

I liked this episode, for the most part. It was a pretty funny episode. One thing I still find weird is that people eat Tropius's banana (rofl. Innuendo). They're munching on it's body. o.O

Anywho...The expressions on Grovyle's face during various moments of the episode were hilarious. Same for Sceptile when he couldn't attack.

Donphan also looked really cute in the episode. It was extremely humorous seeing the expressions on the Rhyhorn's faces. XD

I'm pretty sure this wasn't mentioned yet, but something I liked about the way Grovyle defeated Tropius, battling on its own, was that it was highly reminiscient of the way it defeated Winona's Altaria, battling under Ash. Shows that Grovyle has learned a thing or two from Ash.

Grass-types are plant/animal hybrids. That's wierd in itself. Some of them having edible fruit growing on them isn't any wierder.

I think it's cool that Grovyle Evolves because he has been a Grovyle for so long but I am disapointed that he stops being able to use attacks

I thought it was a great twist that Jukain forgot all his attacks. It was a nice change from the usual "pokémon evolves and kicks a*s with its newfound awesomeness" routine.

Meowth: Don't you get it brat-boy?! Juptile's in heat!!
Ash: Eh? But...he's clearly in the shade of that large tree!

As awesome as it sounds, I couldn't help but laugh a little at that 'as sharp as a Katana' line in Sceptile's dex entry. So, what, we're to assume that Sceptile's opponents have all had skin of steel or something?

I enjoyed that episode quite a bit. I thought it was great how oblivious Satoshi was to Juptile's 'love', you would have thought he'd recognise infatuation after all these years with Takeshi, wouldn't you?
Team Rocket's slogan should continually have Nyarth replaced by Manene in my opinion...in fact, why not replaced full-stop?

I can't believe Grovyle had the Brock syndrome (meaning being flirty towards a girl). In Grovyle's case, he fell in love with a Meganium who loved the Tropius much more.

I felt really sorry for Sceptile when it evolved. Not only was he unable to save the Meagnium but also he was easily defeated by Cacnea and Seviper due to the loss of attacks.

I hope the English Dubbers don't screw this one up. Well then again they did name it The Odd Pokemon Out! which is plain bizarre. Really good evolution episode and hormonish episode

It refers to Grovyle being the "odd man out" in the relationship of Tropius and Meganium

This episode was good. The Boss Fantasy was just ok. It was funny when Mime Jr kept pushing Meowth outta the way during their motto. Also with Meganium runing PAST Grovyle. It was awesome to see Grovyle evolve. Poor Sceptile getting owned.

Only managed to catch the end portion of it, but I caught a few important things:
-Meganium and Tropius kept their JP voices. Not surprising, given that both have the same names in English and Japanese(and Tropius doesn't say its name in the first place)
-Grovyle sounds a tad better than its old voice. Horrah! ...too bad we're not going to see it again, but hey...
-Sceptile sounds good. Much better than Grovyle. Then again, maybe I'm less hard on it since it's only the evo of my favorite Pokemon.
-So I've been saying Tropius correctly if I was aiming for Japanese but incorrectly if I was aiming for English. >> (with a long o, instead of a short o as in "tropical")

No other comments since I've heard this all before, except for this: Sceptile turned out much better than anyone'd hoped for at first("Going from Grovyle to THAT chunky thing? They must be kidding!" being what I remember thinking about it before seeing what it actually turned out to be), so I'm pleased.
