okay im back.
i think ive got the hangof it but somequestions just to make sure
ive ev raised my hariyama all it can be, because ive checked the lady with the effort ribbons...
now... if i put it in the breeding centre, and leave my game on overnight with the walking trick thingy, will that compromise any stat gain? from the effort points gained before aswell as its natures effects? so... is the stat gain basically set from when you gain the effort points or something?

i dunno... just give me the all clear so that i can chuck him in the daycare knowing it wont compromise any possible stat gains.

once EVs are maxed, it doesn't matter how it gets EXP or levels up, the stats will be the same. go ahead, it won't be detrimental in any way.

Hey, what do you guys think of this Timid Natured Gastly that I hatched? The IV man at the Battle Frontier says it's Quite impressive in ability and that it's Speed is outstanding. Here are it's possible IVs from MetalKid's IV calculator:

HP: 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26
Att: 0, 1, 2, 3
Def: 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26
SpA: 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26
SpD: 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29
Speed: 27, 28, 29, 30, 31

That looks really good, except for Atk which is useless anyway. You should level it up some more to find more accurate numbers for IVs.

Question: How do I calculate how much Ev's I need to give to my Pokemon, if I want it to reach a specific staat at lv. 100? My Octillery has only 12 Iv's in attack and I want it to reach 300 in attack(at lv. 100)...how much attack Ev's I need to give it?

(I know, it's a pretty crappy attack IV, but it has maxed HP and spA IV, so it's okay for me.)

Use a stat calculator such as this.
Your Octillery will have (without any Att EVs)
- 249 Att stat (with a +Att Nature)
- 227 Att stat (with a Neutral Nature)
- 204 Att stat (with a -Att Nature)
Your Octillery has a Att stat of 12. So it can only achieve and Attack stat of 300 if it has a +Att nature with 204 Att EVs.

Thank you! It has a quiet nature and it will be more special oriented. Rock Blast will be his only non-special attack. I just wanted to give Rock Blast more power... Anyway, I decided to give it 216 attack Ev's, so it can at least do a little damage with Rock Blast.

i would breed the gyarados until you get a flawless attack male, then breed it with a female bagon until you get a flawless attack female. Then, breed that with the flawless hp until you have one with flawless hp and attack. I would try and find one with flawless speed though.

If you go to pyspoke (spelling?) And they have a stat calculater put the pokemon in and right in the small box level 5 you will see it's stats at level 5 after that i usualy see the pokemon stats at level 22 because they will look flawless at a low level but if you give it rare candys up to level 22 you'll see that it's not perfect.

Edit: So basicaly just rare candy it up to level 22 then check it.
