    It's been scientifically proven using equations beyond our comprehension that Pickachu will never be able to beat any member of the Elekid family. Don't believe me? Name me one time Pickachu has faced a member of the family and won.

    The only reason pikachu was getting whipped by elekid is because Shinji abused Gary's strategy with protect.

    Actually it's not really, after all it used rest and then got hammed by one Volt Tackle so it's apparently the weakest of the regi's.

    The magnetic force of Mount Tengan actually offsets Pikachu's electrical abilities by around 60%, and it takes awhile for it's Internal Electromagnet glands too get accustomed to the electrical polarity of a new region. Elekid, however, is a Johto Pokemon. Therefore it has a different succeptibility to the effects of Mount Tengan's eletric signature, and made his Elekid stronger then usual.

    Pikachu's power is adapted so it isn't too powerfull. The only battle that showed how strong Pikachu would be without these adaptions was its battle with Regice.

    pikachu becomes uberly awesome in the end of the season but always goes back to square one at the begining of the new season... stupid to the max but true
