If you've been playing through a Gold, Silver, or Crystal game recently, go ahead and post any progress you've made, team development, or what you plan on doing in your game in this thread. That way, we can discuss, offer tips, or just enjoy the read.

I recently bought a used Crystal version. I moved all the TMs off onto Stadium GS (no EQ

), moved the Pokémon, most of which were already gone before the previous owner sold it (though there still was another Red Gyarados

), and started fresh, with Totodile.

Currently in Violet City training for Falkner and the Sprout Tower.

Swept the Sprout Tower with Gastly and Hoothoot. Rocky, the traded Onix, kinda suffered but pulled through.
Had little trouble taking on Falkner with Rocky's Screech and Hoothoot's and Mozilla's (totodile XD) scratch.
Rocky really wasn't holding up, and with poor stats and no rock attack in sight, I had to ditch him for the Togepi egg.

That's why I think it's cool to trade over eggs of starters or strong Pokémon, like a Drill Pecking Skarmory.

I then realized I had none as I fell down into the Ruins below...
Actually, I did, and I caught my first Unown, a C, whom I named... Celio!

Now heading towards the Union Cave with my flashing Hoothoot.

i was wondering, can we trade an egg from another game???

anyway, i started gold again. heres the basics

- Chose Chikorita (like always and its female) who i called Lilly
- Did everything for Prof. Elm
- Defeated Rival who i called "Gold". Im Silver
- Captured a Caterpie, who quickly evolved into a Buttefree who i called Winga
- Captured a Geodude who i called Rock Head
- Caught a Pidgy who i called Beak
- Got through Sprout Tower easily
- Def. Faulkner, and recieved my badge

Fire Punch on Flaffy is actually a good idea, especially if you started with Chikorita/Totodile.

*Started anew on Crystal with Chikorita (I'll probably end up trading over a Charmander from Silver anyway)

Hatched two Chikorita eggs on Gold (breeding Meganium with mostly legit shiny Ditto), neither of which were shiny. Resetting so that I can keep each egg on Stadium GS near to hatching and knowing what's inside. I'll trade a nearly hatched egg of a shiny to Crystal if one ever comes along.

Update: Egg #5 was shiny! I'm trading it to Crystal right now!
