Ok wel because of Groudons Drought ability, you wont need Sunny Day on your Moltres ( just make sure you use Groudon first)

    Moltres - Modest
    Leftovers
    -Morning Sun
    -Flamethrower
    -Substitute/Agility
-HP Grass/ HP Electric / HP Ice

With Groudons drought, Morning Sun will heal 100% so it would be better than Rest

Although Morning sun is only available through XD. If want another special move and dont have a special hidden power, try mimic, I use it with an exeggutor combo to mimic solar-beam, so it might be a fun alternative for things that flamethrower/blast cant rip through. If neither of them appeal to you, try one of these; safeguard, protect, lightscreen, substitute, roar or double edge.

You could go with flamethrower, hp, aerial ace, and a filler.

I know you asked for movesets, but you may still want to consider just using a different Pokemon. With Moltres's 4x weakness to Rock, combined with its merely average to below average Defense and Speed and the fact that it seems like there's a lot of Pokemon out there with Rock Slide/HP Rock/insert other Rock move here, Moltres might not last as long as you expect it would.

As it stands, your best bet is something like this:

    @ Leftovers
    - Fire Blast
    - Overheat
    - HP Grass/Aerial Ace/Toxic
    - (filler because of Groudon)

    Good luck!

what other fire type pokemon you suggest then?

i was thinking entei but then again his stregth is mostly in physical attacks and not specials and im not sure a modest nature will change much

im planning my team soemthing like this
    groudon
    moltres(may need to replace)
    exeggutor
    kyogre
    lugia
raikou (may use jolteon if i decide on batoning)

Any non-legendary, especially Houndoom (what with its ability to Solarbeam on top of general Fire Blasting mayhem). Fire-type legendaries seem to bite in the usefulness department for one reason or another. It's either really good SA and not enough moves to support it or a decent movepool but not enough SA to use it.

On natures: Either will actually do, though Modest is the most recommended nature.

On abilities: Flash Fire. Early Bird won't actually be of much use to you if you go for one of the standard 'doom sets.

Anyway, be warned that the Solarbeam set will leave you with a hole in the moveset that's normally taken up by Sunny Day. Switching in Houndoom might be a bit risky, given its defenses, so you can either leave SD in or have Groudon set up a courtesy Sub before switching in Houndoom to Solarbeam your opponent into OMGWHATWASTHATville. The other moves in Houndoom's set (i.e. other than Sunny Day and Solarbeam) Fire Blast/Flamethrower and HP Ice/Crunch. Top it off with Leftovers, and you're good to go.

The alternate, if you're interested, goes like this:

    @ Leftovers
    - Flamethrower/Fire Blast
    - HP Grass/Pursuit
    - Will-o-Wisp/Beat Up
    - Crunch

And if you don't like working with Houndoom, there's another good Fire-type in Ninetales. It doesn't quite have the firepower (excuse the pun) that Houndoom packs, but it's been known to survive Surf -- which is something for a Fire-type.

The standard set for Ninetales looks a little like this:

    Timid Ninetales @ Leftovers
    - Flamethrower/Fire Blast
    - Will-o-Wisp
    - HP Grass/Grudge
    - Protect/Substitute/Confuse Ray/Safeguard/Overheat

Sorry for the erraticness of the above sets. It's more like a "choose one of the above" deals.

Hope that helps a little. Good luck!
