Ghost - Gengar ?
Dark - Tyranitar ?
Water - Milotic ?
Electric - Electabuzz ?
Grass - Sceptile ?
Poison - Weezing ?
Normal - Slaking ?
Ground - Rhydon ?
Rock - Tyranitar / Aggron ?
Steel - Metagross ?
Dragon - Dragonite / Salamence ?
Bug - Foretress / Scizor ?
Fight - Machamp ?
Fire - Charizard ?
Flying - Dodrio ?
Ice - Walrein ?
Psychic - Alakazam ?

( I those are but i'm sure i'm wrong at some types ( and i didn't posted legendarys and most ubers )

Mewtwo and Lugia are the best psycicks (sp?). Rayquaza is the best dragon. Caterpie is the best bug. j/k lol!

Wouldn't say there really is a best. Pokemon in the same type grouping still have different strengths and strategical uses.

However if I personally had to pick one pokemon from each type they would be...(without any repeats or legendaries)
