Good chapter this week. I wasn't surprised about Hodi revealing that he was Otohime's true killer. I'm just surprised Shirahoshi knew this and didn't share it with anyone. If she did, then Hodi would've been dealt with a long time ago.

Wait, this is the manga thread. The One Piece animé wasn't that great the last time I saw it (Marineford), I felt it was slow and unsetling in the way that action didn't flow as action. Probably due to the unthinkable large amount of stillscreens we got back then. 19 pages per episode? That's too little progress.

You should see what they do now. One chapter gets used to make three episodes.

^ I agree completely man. I understand some chapters can 2 episodes to do because of the action that the manga can't accurately portray but 3 episodes? Thats 45 mins to do 1 chapter. (One Piece episodes are 15 min each because the recap and opening take up 5 mins alone)

coverstory: Island of Giants "Little Garden" Dorry and Broggy are still fighting.

The reason why Shirahoshi knew the perpetrator was because Megalo saw the whole thing, and told Shirahoshi
She kept it a secret because Hodi may vent his hatred towards someone for it, and her mother would be saddened by it
She followed her mother's last words which was not to hate anyone, and kept it to herself for 10 years
Hodi calls her a fool, and attacks the king and the princes with Yabusame (the water shot)

The fishmen children asks Madame Shirley when the pirate with the hat is coming to destroy the island
"I wish he'd come right now! If he rampages here right now, we'd be in trouble.. but those guys would be in bigger trouble right!?"
The adults who heard those words also wished the pirate would come right now

Hodi tries to finish the king off.
Shirahoshi: Luffy-sama!! Please protect my father!!
Luffy jumps out of Megalo's mouth! He darts towards Hodi, and kicks him.

Luffy: Hurry up, guys!!
Nami appears, and snatches the Tenryuubito's letter (the one Otohime brought back) and the keys to the King and Princes' locks
Robin uses them to release the princes

In the sky is Hoe and the Sunny.
Gaon cannon is shot to take out the fishmen pirates, and Hoe rescues Neptune
This whole attack was pre-planned with Jinbe.
The denizens of Fishman Island asks the strawhat pirtes if they are friends or foes.
Luffy: Friend or Foe...? Well, you decide yourselves!

The straw hat pirates all gather at the plaza. Jinbe gets ready to fight alongside them too!

Best chapter in a while. Finally its becoming the action filled OP again and now they can leave FI soon. Anyways I can't wait for the fights and new abilities. I really hope there isn't even a contest in the fight, I want the Straw Hats to PWN the Fisherman with almost no injuries on their side.

Megalo's worth as a character has really gone up. It's incredible to see the citizens openly wanting their island to be destroyed by Luffy and gang. Nice justification there. Anyway, seeing Luffy blitz Hodi was awesome. Seeing the others appear and get in on the action was great too. Now that the King and his sons are safety away, we can get on to the showdown between the Straw Hats and New Fishman pirates. Action pack chapter.

Hopefully next chapter we can see just what this timeskip will be worth. And, as quickly as possible, we can get to the New World.

I really liked this chapter. Finally get to see them in sort of action. I can't wait to see what'll happen next week. Hopefully the fight isn't terribly long so that we can get to the New World.

It was such a freakin awesome chapter! What Luffy did to Hodi was just epic! Than what he said at the end, if friend or foe you decide, man I love the guy. I love how every one wants Luffy to destroy the Island. Man, waiting for the next chapter will be harder than ever. A+++

Are you refering to mine? It seemed pretty obvious...On to the actual chapter though I was pretty happy with it, especialy the very end of it awesome page. Everyone is expecting a big chapter next week, but I'm not really I think that an explaination of what the heck happened will occur, because some one will say how is this possible, that swords man and the other two were supposed to drown, how did they escape, where did the ship come from stuff like that, and that will be the next chapter, then fights will begin to break out. It sounds anti-climatic but thats whats probs gonna happan imo.

Flashback to Jinbe and others planning:
Jinbe proposed that if Jinbe pleads for help, the people will see that the Straw Hats were working with Jinbe, and Luffy will be treated as a hero
About the Ryuuguu Palace hostages... well, just do something about it. (lol)

A Fishman pirate leutenant says something but Straw Hats all ignore him.
Luffy calls Shirahoshi "Weakhoshi", but also tells her she wasn't as weak as he first thought.
Hody gets up and complains to Jinbe. He says Jinbe is the type he hates the most.
He plans to slaughter the kings at the Reverie (World Council) and start the legend of the terrifying Undersea Kingdom.
Hody says he's the most fit to become the true Pirate King.

Luffy is annoyed by Hody's mentioning of Pirate King
As Hody orders, the 100,000 pirates all cry out and head for the Straw Hats.
As the Straw Hats get ready for battle, but Luffy steps out in front of them alone.
He uses the Conqueror's Haki to knock out half of them (50,000!)

Luffy: Hody, is it? YOU, I have to deal with myself.
I don't care what kind of king you wanna be, wherever you want... but there's only ONE king of the Pirates!!
Luffy goes Gear 3, and gets ready to rumble
The Straw Hats also all get ready to show their increased strength from the 2 year training

Is it wrong to say that I'm disappointed only 50,000 were knocked out? Anyways its a placeholder chapter this week as the next one will be when the fun really begins but I still can't wait to read it.

I hope Hax isn't relied on as much in future battles. It really removes a lot of the fun.
